And Forbes reports that very few tickets are currently on sale for the match which kicks off at 5:45pm this evening.
It is thought the game at the ground, which has a 99,534 capacity, could break the record for the highest number of spectators at a women’s football match.
That record was set back in 1999 at the Rose Bowl in the United States, when a 90,185-strong crowd turned out to watch the USA defeat China in the Women’s World Cup.
For Putellas, 28, playing in front of tens of thousands of fans at a stadium she often visited as a child, is a dream come true.

Barcelona, who defeated Madrid 3-2 in the first leg of the contest’s quarter-final tie, have been on a storming run on the domestic front.

ERIK TEN HAG famously lives above a supermarket in Amsterdam, but the only shelf he wants to stack is his club’s trophy cabinet.The Ajax boss, who is reportedly a manager target for Manchester United, has won two Eredivisie titles with the Dutch giants.

The quiet Dutchman, fairly unknown across the continent after a 13-year playing career in Holland, has revived the glory days at Ajax with a vibrant young team.
In 2019, with a side that featured homegrown talents like Frenkie de Jong, Matthijs de Ligt, Donny van de Beek and Hakim Ziyech, he reached a Champions League semi-final.
Ten hag, a keen golfer with a high-pitched voice, worked wonders given Ajax had not even competed in the knockout stages since 2005-06.
Having already surpassed par, Ten Hag is becoming a Master. That’s why he is a serious contender for the Old Trafford hot-seat.

On the wall of his modest office at the club’s De Toekomst training ground hang photos of Johan Cruyff, Rinus Michels and Louis van Gaal.
In an era when Ajax are surrounded by financially beefed up opponents, he has ensured the club have stayed competitive. This season, they were narrowly beaten by Benfica over two legs to exit the Champions League in the Round of 16 stage.
So how has the former centre-back from a rural town in Twente transformed their fortunes?
Ten Hag’s education in coaching goes some way to explain.
In 2013, having spent his entire career in Holland, he moved abroad to work with the master of management.
At Bayern Munich, ten Hag cut his coaching teeth with the reserves while watching closely as Pep Guardiola revolutionised the German giants’ style.

And his approach to training shows ten Hag is a disciple of Guardiola, such is the obsession with detail.
He has a particular focus on the character of a player.
Ten Hag will note down how each individual responds to minor errors, losing the ball or committing a foul, and works out the mentality of his team to suit their opponent.
Before being appointed at Ajax in 2017, these skills helped him guide Utrecht into the Europa League.
DEVELOPING YOUTH
Ten Hag suited Ajax due to his ability to nurture young talent into stars.
Frenkie de Jong, 21, joined Barcelona in a deal worth £65million in 2019. Matthijs de Ligt, 19, joined Juventus for the same fee – boosting the club’s coffers.
Ten Hag played a key role in the development of players like Memphis Depay, at PSV, and Marko Arnautovic, at FC Twente.
He transformed Depay from a central midfielder to a wide position, with the coach’s focus constantly on attacking and attractive football.
Yet, Ten Hag is also able to identify what his team needs.
Among his youthful stars, are seasoned veterans including former Man United man Daley Blind and ex-Southampton midfielder Dusan Tadic.
Both were brought in 2018 by Ten Hag to redress the team’s inexperience.

Uefa pressured to reconsider hated ‘historical merit’ Champions League places where two clubs enter who didn’t qualify

UEFA is reconsidering the idea of allocating two Champions League places to teams who failed to qualify for the competition based on their past results.Members of the European Club Association – which includes 10 Premier League sides – are preparing to lobby Uefa to secure qualification for two sides who fail to obtain Champions League football on merit in any one particular campaign.

Instead, these places would be filled based on coefficient ranking – which is determined by continental performance over the five previous seasons.
According to The Guardian, sides who finish outside the Champions League places but qualify for the Europa League or win a domestic cup are eligible to fill the two spots.
For example, if the adjusted rules were in place this season then Manchester United would qualify for the Champions League despite finishing sixth in the Premier League because their coefficient ranking is ninth in Europe.
Meanwhile, Arsenal and Roma would have qualified for this season’s competition.

The new rules have been discussed by the Club Competitions Committee working group – a body which sees members of the ECA work on competition reform with Uefa.
The ideas are also expected to be raised at the General Assembly in Vienna later this week.
These coefficient-based places were plans outlined by Uefa as part of their original expansion of the Champions League – which was announced last year.

The winger is expected to have surgery on his right leg in order to remove a plate, which was implanted after he broke his ankle in March 2020.
Real released the following statement: “In the coming days, our player, Eden Hazard, will undergo surgery to remove the osteosynthesis plate in his right fibula.”
Hazard has been enduring another difficult season marred by injury as he has only made eight starts in LaLiga this season.
The Belgium international has fallen down the pecking order behind the likes of Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo.

On the ticket front, Chelsea fans will be entitled to purchase seats for the Wembley last-four cup clash with Crystal Palace on the weekend of April 16/17 and both legs of their European quarter-final versus Real Madrid on April 6 and 12.
The Blues can also sell tickets to supporters for Premier League away games and visiting fans for league matches at Stamford Bridge will be able to attend under the new conditions.

Likewise, money raised by Chelsea ticket sales for the FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace, their Champions League last-eight clash with Real Madrid and any future ties will go to the FA or Uefa respectively “to remain compliant” with the sanctions against Abramovich.
A Premier League spokesperson said: “The revised licence allows fans to attend Chelsea FC games; Chelsea fans to travel to away Premier League fixtures and attend the FA Cup, Uefa Champions League and WSL games.
“The Premier League will receive and hold any revenue from the sale of these tickets that would normally have gone to Chelsea.
“Chelsea requested, and the Premier League agreed, that this revenue will be donated to charity to benefit victims of the war in Ukraine.
“The charities will be announced in due course.”
Chelsea next host local rivals Brentford in the Premier League on April 2.
Bidders for the West London club had until last Friday to submit their offers to the Raine Group overseeing the sale.

CHELSEA fans CAN buy tickets for the FA Cup semi-final and future Champions League games this season.After two weeks of negotiations between the with the club and the Government, DCMS chiefs announced a series of amendments to the club’s operating licence.

It means that Blues fans will be entitled to buy seats for the club’s upcoming FA Cup and European matches.
They will also be allowed to travel to away matches, with visiting fans able to buy their tickets for the final four Prem games at Stamford Bridge against Arsenal, Wolves, Leicester and Watford.
But the strict condition is that not a single penny of the ticket revenue goes into the hands of Roman Abramovich.
And Chelsea remain banned from selling any more HOME match tickets for the upcoming Prem fixtures, meaning likely attendances of just over 30,000.

Under the new conditions, the Government has ensured the “no additional revenue” is raised for Chelsea by the revised regulations.
Normally, under Prem rules, the home team banks all match ticket revenues.
The league confirmed last night that monies that ‘would normally have gone to Chelsea’, usually £90,000 in income from the maximum 3,000 away fans at Stamford Bridge for each game, will be donated to charity to benefit the victims of the war in Ukraine.
Likewise, money raised by Chelsea ticket sales for the FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace, their Champions League last eight clash with Real Madrid and any future ties will go to the FA or Uefa respectively “to remain compliant” with the sanctions against Abramovich.

There is, though, an exception for fans of Chelsea Women, who play most of their home matches at Kingstonians and who will be able to sell tickets for forthcoming Women’s Super League games.
Commenting on the decision, sports minister Nigel Hiddleston said: “I would like to thank fans for their patience while we have engaged with the football authorities to make this possible.
“Since Roman Abramovich was added to the UK’s sanctions list for his links to Vladimir Putin we have worked extensively to ensure the club can continue to play football while ensuring the sanctions regime continues to be enforced.”
A Premier League spokesperson said: “The revised licence allows fans to attend Chelsea FC games; Chelsea fans to travel to away Premier League fixtures and attend the FA Cup, Uefa Champions League and WSL games.
“The Premier League will receive and hold any revenue from the sale of these tickets that would normally have gone to Chelsea.
“Chelsea requested, and the Premier League agreed, that this revenue will be donated to charity to benefit victims of the war in Ukraine.
“The charities will be announced in due course.”
