That followed the previous week’s shock FA Cup exit courtesy of Championship side Sheffield United.
The 53-year-old’s future remains unclear in North London with his contract set to expire in the summer.
And an ever-growing number of supporters have been calling for him to be replaced by ex-boss Mauricio Pochettino in the dug-out.
But Conte, who was recently sidelined after undergoing gallbladder surgery, gained some respite as Spurs beat Nottingham Forest 3-1 in the Premier League on Saturday.

He and his wife Elisabetta Muscarello decided to celebrate by hitting the town earlier for a bout of sight-seeing on Sunday.
And Conte shared a snap of themselves posing at Piccadilly Circus onto his Instagram account, which he captioned: “Out and about in London.”
However, his post was soon hijacked by Inter fans, the club he led to the 2021 Serie A title, begging him to return to the club.
“Antó return to Inter,” pleaded one.

Former Arsenal star Kolasinac ‘couldn’t sleep for three nights’ after losing to Tottenham with Marseille

And while his former Gunners team-mates slipped into the Europa League, Kolasinac secured Champions League qualification for this season.
The Ligue 1 went into the final game of a tight Group D at home to Spurs knowing a win would send them through to the knockout stages.
Chancel Mbemba put Marseille in front just before half-time before Clement Lenglet equalised nine minutes into the second half.
And sub Kolasinac, 29, had a glorious chance to win it – but fluffed his lines and somehow headed wide from close range.

To make matters worse, Marseille were unaware a draw would have at least dropped them into the Europa League.
But in the 95th minute, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg struck with the final kick of the game to put Spurs top of the group – and sink Marseille to bottom, ending their European journey in devastating fashion.
And Kolasinac was particularly impacted by his own role in the defeat.
As reported by L’Equipe, club president Pablo Longoria revealed the Bosnian told him at the training ground: “I haven’t been able to sleep for three nights because of it.”

Kolasinac, though, has responded brilliantly and is a key man in Igor Tudor’s team.
The former Arsenal man – who made 118 appearances across five seasons with the North Londoners – scored the winner against Monaco before the World Cup and has helped Les Phoceens to second behind PSG in the league.
And his popularity and impressive form has seen contract talks open over an extension beyond this summer until 2025. More

Greece boss Gus Poyet explains why Kostas Tsimikas’ Liverpool career is a success… despite playing behind Robertson

GREECE manager Gus Poyet praised Kostas Tsimikas’ impact at Liverpool, even though he plays second fiddle to Andy Robertson.Tsimikas joined the Reds in 2020 for £12million after two stunning seasons at Olympiacos as he stood out for the Greek giants in the Champions League and Europa League.
Kostas Tsimikas’ Liverpool career has been a success, claims Gus PoyetCredit: Alamy
But the left-back was signed as an alternate to Robertson, who has been prolific at Anfield as he helped the Merseysiders win the Champions League four years ago and the Premier League in 2021.
The Greece international has since had to accept a supporting role that mostly sees him start when the Scotsman is unavailable or as part of a rotated side.
However, the 26-year-old has still managed to shine as he has taken full advantage of his rare opportunities and won over the crowd, who have nicknamed him “Greek Scouser”.
The Greek ace also scored the winning penalty in the FA Cup Final against Chelsea last season, which sealed a domestic cup double.
    Read More on Football
Poyet doesn’t mind Tsimikas playing second string at the Kop and insists that doesn’t affect his place in the Greek national team ahead of tough Euro 2024 qualifiers against France and the Netherlands.
The Chelsea legend is happy with the way the defender has repeatedly shown to manager Jurgen Klopp he is constantly ready to successfully fill in at the left when Robertson is unavailable.
The Uruguayan tactician believes his player proved his point last week against Wolves when he played for 90 minutes and provided an assist for Mohamed Salah’s winner.
That is why the ex-Tottenham star doesn’t think there is any necessity to look for another team who will give him more chances of minutes and consistency at top level.
    Most read in Football
Poyet told SunSport: “I’m in constant contact with Tsimi, I visited Liverpool last month. I went to watch one of the games [and] I went to talk to Tsimikas personally.
“I was with Klopp, who is outstanding with Tsimikas, and explained the situation. So everything is clear.
“I think Tsimi knows his position at Liverpool, he knows he’s competing with a very good left-back and right now Robertson is on fire.
“So Tsimi as a top professional, he showed it the other day when he played 90 minutes without any problems, he’s always ready.

Greece boss Gus Poyet insists Liverpool can always count on Kostas TsimikasCredit: AFP
“When something happens or Robertson drops a little bit or he has another opportunity [then] he can do what he did the other day.
“He can provide an assist and be a player that the manager can count on and be part of an incredible team that is Liverpool.
“That’s personal – if he wants to leave or not. That is up to the player to decide.
“For me – for us, for Greece – having a player at Liverpool and being able to play at that level is massive. So we are always waiting for him to come and help us to win.” More

FOOTBALL fans have been left horrified by a pizza covered in sausage and kiwi sold at a game. The J League was home to the strange treat which gathered a big reaction from fans on Twitter.

The Footy Scran account has become popular for tracking the good and bad of matchday meals at football grounds.
And the Kiwi pizza sold at J League club Cerezo Osaka is among the worst many fans had seen.
Pictures show lumps of the fruit and sausage spread out across the pizza, sat on a paper plate with the stadium in the background.
The awful creation was available for 1000 yen, which is around £6.

Chelsea boss Graham Potter reveals what he is doing ‘to help him relax’ after morale-boosting Champions League win

GRAHAM POTTER admitted a weight has been lifted following victory in the Champions League – and turned to Elton John in relaxation. Chelsea beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 to progress into the quarter-finals, giving the club a much needed morale boost.

Potter was asked if he listens to any songs to help him relax under pressure and he responded: “I’m still standing.”
That is Sir Elton’s 1983 classic from his Too Low for Zero album.
Chelsea travel to Leicester off the back of victory over Leeds at Stamford Bridge last weekend.
But they remain in tenth, despite getting back to winning ways as Potter admitted a weight has been lifted with recent wins.

He said: “Yes, in some ways.
“It’s not something I get too bogged down with. I am the same as every Chelsea fan. It’s better if you win.
“It’s really difficult to just play a game of football at whatever level and just come home and everything is fine.
“That’s not to say I am a disaster zone around the family.”

Chelsea are nine points off fourth-placed Tottenham and winning the Champions League could be their easiest route into next season’s competition.
But Potter is refusing to prioritise the club’s European campaign to their dwindling league hopes.
He said: “I understand the question, but I think it’s almost second guessing loads of things.
“You can tie yourself in knots and ultimately football is just keep it simple. Next match, try to win.”

Under-fire Antonio Conte hits out at ‘impatient’ Tottenham fans after team booed off in Champions League exit

ANTONIO CONTE has launched a stinging attack on impatient Spurs fans and his “selfish” £50million flop Richarlison.Tottenham fans booed during and after Wednesday’s limp Champions League exit to AC Milan, which ended a week from hell as they also crashed out of the FA Cup.
Antonio Conte launched a stinging attack on RicharlisonCredit: Alamy
And the Italian, set to leave when his contract expires in the summer, slammed the supporters, saying: “The patience of the fans has finished. And we feel this. I feel this. The players feel this.
“This does not help the situation because there are many players in this moment, also young players that are playing, and they need to improve and go step by step to grow.
“The club has patience. But the problem is the club also has to make the fans (be patient) because the fans for many, many years are waiting to win something.”
Richarlison’s outburst means he is unlikely to start at home to Nottingham Forest today,  where the atmosphere could become very uncomfortable for the manager if his side make a poor start.
    READ MORE ON FOOTBALL
The exit to Milan left the club facing a 15th successive season without a trophy, with chairman Daniel Levy set to wield the axe on Conte’s reign.
Former Everton striker Richarlison appeared to blast Conte for not explaining why he had been benched for the last two games.
But Conte said: “The guy understood very well that he made a mistake because when you speak with ‘I, I and I’, not with ‘we’, it means you are thinking only about yourself and you are selfish.
“If he deserves to play, I give him an opportunity otherwise we will play another player.

“I watched the whole interview and he didn’t criticise me. He said his season is ‘s***’ and he is right because his season is no good.
“Because he had a lot of injuries. He started well with us, he then had injury in the Champions League and then he went to World Cup and he had another serious injury.
“He came back and stayed one month out. Then another injury.
“He scored zero goals with us, only two goals in Champions League and I think the guy was really honest to tell that his season is not good.
“His season and our season has still not finished and he has time to recover. ”
Richarlison has rarely started, with the Italian boss preferring Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski up front.
Conte’s other option is to start January loan signing Arnaut Danjuma, who has had just 47 minutes of action since arriving.
Arnaut Danjuma has hardly featured under Antonio ConteCredit: Reuters
But worryingly, Conte admitted it was the club’s choice to sign the Dutchman — and  questioned if he could fit into his favoured line-up.
He said: “I am sorry for (Danjuma) because he arrived in January and the club wanted to sign on loan this player.
“Maybe he has not specific characteristics to be a No 10.  Maybe he is more a second striker or a winger.”
Conte also claimed that he was doomed to fail in his spell at Tottenham as his trophy-laden career meant fan expectations were miles too high from day one.
But he insisted that he is “ready to die for this club” until his contract expires at the end of the season.
He said: “The problem for me is only one — that every club where I coached, I won. Expectation has always been very, very high.
“I remember very well when I arrived at this club everybody said, ‘Now, we have Conte — he won in the past, so now we are going to win!’
“But we have to win together. We have to create the right situation.
“I can teach you the path to win, but you have to follow me. And have patience. I need time and patience.
“Maybe I do have time, because the club can give me that. But I am seeing there is no patience (from the fans). For me it’s really, really difficult. Maybe my past penalises me.”
This was the man with the midas touch, who had tasted success everywhere he went, securing league titles at Juventus, Chelsea and Inter Milan. Surely he would be the one to finally deliver the silverware that Tottenham supporters have been craving.
Richarlison looks set to be left out again against Nottingham ForestCredit: PA
But 15 months into his tenure and after a week from hell, Conte feels any grace from the terraces has evaporated.
Emergency gallbladder surgery saw assistant Cristian Stellini stand in for four games before he returned for a second time for Wednesday’s Champions League nightmare against AC Milan.
It is a matter of when, not if, Conte leaves, but the fiery boss is adamant he will give his all until the end of the campaign.
The Premier League winner said: “Until the end of the season I am ready to die for this club and then we will see because I am not so stupid to continue to kill myself.
“You know with the club we signed a contract, a strange contract – one-year-and-a-half.
“Usually you sign a contract for three years but I think it was for the club and also for myself to see the situation.
“For the club to understand my personality, my capacity as a coach and for me from my side it was also the same. To understand if we were on the same page and if we wanted to do something important.
“Now after one year and a half, the club knows me, I know the club and it is clear this situation.”
Spurs are currently in fourth and now, after their cup exits, have free weeks leading up to ten of their remaining 12 league games.
    Read More on The Sun
That extra time to prepare certainly helped them finish strongly last season and they have a favourable run coming up too, starting with Forest.
Still, Conte claimed finishing in the top four will be harder than it was last season, adding: “For us, it is like winning the Premier League in this moment.” More
