Real Madrid’s 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night completed a 4-0 aggregate route to the Champions League semi-finals.
Lampard is now 8/1 to be sacked as Chelsea manager for the second time, despite only being interim boss this time.
And covering the game for French TV channel Canal+, fellow club legend Drogba said: “I don’t recognise my club. It’s no longer the same club.
“There is a new owner and a new vision. Of course, we try to compare it with what happened during the [Roman] Abramovich era where a lot of players were brought in, but the decisions were very intelligent.

“Bringing in players like Petr Cech, Andriy Shevchenko, Herman Crespo, Michael Essien, Didier Drogba, Florent Malouda, and I go on. It was done to win titles. They are players with a certain experience.
“The strategy is now different – we bet on young players.
“But a dressing room of over 30 players is difficult for a manager.”

Yet successor Lampard is still struggling to find real firepower.
Asked about the iconic former striker’s comments, he would only say: “They’re Didier’s comments, sorry.”
Chelsea have reportedly contacted former Tottenham chief Mauricio Pochettino about the permanent position.
Ex-Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann is also on the shortlist.

Fans praise ‘elite s***housing’ from Bayern Munich star as Haaland blazes shocking penalty over the bar

FOOTIE fans hailed Leon Goretzka’s ‘s***housery’ moments before Erling Haaland’s horrendous penalty against Bayern Munich. The Norwegian giant missed the opportunity to well and truly put their Champions League quarter-final tie to bed from 12 yards in the 38th minute.

After much delay, City’s main man blazed the ball over the crossbar – much to the delight of the Allianz Arena faithful.
And watchers of the game reckon Goretka’s actions seconds before the spot kick put off Haaland.
Moments before Haaland went to take the kick, the Bayern midfielder walked into the box and pointed something out to the referee – who further delayed the taking of the kick.
Goretzka, 28, pointed at something in the box before walking over and picking it up. It appeared it could have just been a tuft of grass.
Fans believe he interrupted the kick to try and let the chorus of boos and whistles continue to get into Haaland’s head.
One tweeted: “Elite s**thousery there from Goretzka. Gotta respect that.”
Another said: “Goretzka elite mind games.”
And another said: “Lol, nah, that’s elite by Goretzka.”

One remarked: “Elite dark arts from Goretzka.”
Another chimed in: “Elite s**thousery from Goretzka throwing that off the pitch, Haaland bottle[d] [it].”
One fan even claimed Goretzka’s actions directly contributed to Haaland’s shocking miss.
They tweeted: “Anyone that understands how psychology works would agree with me that Goreztka saved that penalty.
“He played a lot of mind games with Haaland before the penalty.”
Despite Haaland’s horror miss, City currently lead the tie 3-0 on aggregate.
Pep Guardiola’s troops put the German champions to the sword last week with first-leg goals from Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Haaland.

    Goodbye!
Manchester City are through to the semi-finals of the Champions League and will play Real Madrid.
Pep Guardiola’s side were dominant and put in a controlled performance against Bayern Munich tonight.

    Tuchel’s tough start
Life at Bayern Munich has not been easy since Thomas Tuchel took over from Julian Nagelsmann.
He has took charge of six matches, winning just two, his first against Borussia Dortmund and clash with Freiburg.
Since then, he has overseen Bayern being knocked out of the Champions League to Man City and the DFB Pokal to Freiburg.
They also failed to beat Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.
    “We are exhausted”
Pep Guardiola has claimed that his players are “exhausted” and he is unsure how fit they will be for the FA Cup clash against Sheffield United on Saturday.
Guardiola said: “Of course, three years in a row in the semi finals of the Champions League.
“We struggled in the first half. Upamecano broke all the lines down our left side and we struggled with Coman. We were fortunate before the penalty miss, they had one or two chances and anything could happen but we defended really well.
“The finishing from Erling was really, really good. He is so young. The experience that we have in this competition, the players feel it a lot, they want to do it really well. The second half was much, much better since minute one.
“We are exhausted. I don’t know how we recover to play against Sheffield United.”
    Silva’s post-match thoughts
Bernardo Silva has spoken to BT Sport on City’s Champions League hopes, Erling Haaland and Real Madrid.
Silva said: “We struggled until February because we couldn’t get in that usual run we had before of winning 10-15 games in a row but now we are very consistent, we feel we have a chance in every competition and we are going for them.
“We are at that point of the season where if you drop your performance in one game you are out of a competition. It is going to be tough but we are going to work very hard to bring some titles home.
“Building win after win, that confidence, it is very important and we need to keep it that way.”
On Haaland, Silva said: “Erling is a special player, a different player to what we had in the past. He doesn’t need many touches. He is like a shadow for 85 minutes and touches the ball once it is a goal.
“When we have that special player in attack it makes us feel more comfortable at the back.”
On Real Madrid in the next round after losing to them at that stage last year: “Revenge? Hopefully yes.
“We will go for it definitely. We always go for it but we feel the team is very, very confident at the minute. I think we are going through.”
    Elsewhere… Milan derby ahead
Inter Milan have beat Benfica 5-3 on aggregate to set up a Milan derby in the semi-final.
Simone Inzaghi’s side beat the Portuguese outfit 2-0 in Lisbon then got a 3-3 draw at the San Siro tonight.
AC Milan beat Napoli yesterday and it sets up a highly-anticipated tie in the next round.
Semi-Final draw – ties to be played on 9th/10th and 16th/17th May:

    AC Milan vs Inter
    Real Madrid vs Man City

City to go all the way?
Man City dominated at home and produced a controlled display away and deservedly go through to the semi-finals.
Bayern got out off the blocks fast and created chances in the opening stages.
But City weathered the storm and stood strong, then after they looked more than assured and they did not look fazed by the occasion.
With Haaland up top and the flair of De Bruyne behind him, they will always score goals.
Yet, it is the defensive that will get the plaudits tonight. Dias and Stones were exceptional at the back and nobody could get past Rodri in the heart of midfield.
City have comfortably beaten one of the best sides in Europe over two legs and are playing with such confidence.
They look unstoppable in this competition. However, in Real Madrid they face the most experienced side in the world when it comes to performing on the biggest stage.

Full Time: Bayern Munich 1-1 Man City (1-4)
Man City are through to the semi-finals and will meet Real Madrid.
Haaland may have missed a penalty before he eventually did get his goal with a clinical finish.
Kimmich added a late equaliser but it was not enough.
The third year in a row City make the last four in the Champions League and they look more than capable of lifting the trophy this year. An incredible performance.

    Bayern Munich 1-1 Man City
90+4. The cameras pan to a disapointed Tuchel.
His Bayern team have thrown everything at City tonight.
But Guardiola’s men are working so hard and have been defensively and tactically fantastic tonight.
    Bayern Munich 1-1 Man City
    90+2. What a chance.
The ball is spread wide to Davies and he fires it towards the front post.
Mane is there and he smashed it just wide.
    Bayern Munich 1-1 Man City
    90. Five minutes added.
Bayern fans have seen enough and are heading to the exit.
Upamecano wishes he was following them as his nightmare tie gets worse as he gives the ball away again.
    Bayern Munich 1-1 Man City
    88. Let the chaos continue. Stanisic gets a yellow card. That is the eleventh of the game including those for Tuchel.
He has one bite at Grealish, doesn’t foul him.
So, he decided to go in for him again and it’s a certain yellow card.
    Bayern Munich 1-1 Man City
    86. Tuchel sent off, second yellow. He has completely lost his cool, not for the first time tonight.
Grealish instigated the latest issue by pulling back Coman after getting him in a headlock.
    Bayern Munich 1-1 Man City
    85. Davies does brilliantly, charging down the left at a rapid speed.
He pulls it back to Tel on the edge of the box and he fires it over.
    Bayern Munich 1-1 Man City
    84. Haaland goes off and Alvarez comes on.
Bayern fans boo off the ex-Borussia Dortmund star.
GOAL: Bayern Munich 1-1 Man City
    83. Kimmich scores.
He goes down the middle and Ederson dives to his left.
It will be nothing more than a consolation.
    Bayern Munich 0-1 Man City
    81. VAR are checking for a Bayern penalty… and it has been given.
Mane booted the ball at Akanji’s arm from point blank range.
It’s a terrible decision, there is nothing that Akanji can do to get out of the way.
    Bayern Munich 0-1 Man City
    78. Pavard is off and Stanisic comes on.
Bayern are left frustrated as Ederson easily claims a corner.
    Bayern Munich 0-1 Man City
    76. Goal for Bayern, but no it won’t count.
Coman is adjudged to be offside, he picked up the ball and had the curling shot that was saved by Ederson and then tapped in by Tel.
It won’t stand and it remains 0-1.
    Bayern Munich 0-1 Man City
    74. Again City defend brilliantly.
The ball is fizzed into Tel and Dias steps in the way so he cannot control it.
    Bayern Munich 0-1 Man City
    72. Muller and the youngster Tel are on.
    Replacing Musiala and Choupo-Moting.
    Bayern Munich 0-1 Man City
    70. Bayern cannot break down City, who are showing how good they are out of possession.
Musiala shows close control to combine with Kimmich.
But he is crowded out and is left with no choice but to try an ambitious and scooped ball forward that is calmly dealt with by Laporte.
    Bayern Munich 0-1 Man City
    67. Laporte comes on for the injured Ake.
Tuchel is growing more and more angry at the slow passing from his Bayern side.
Choupo-Moting has a weak shot into Ederson’s arms.
    Bayern Munich 0-1 Man City
    65. More boos from the home fans as Ake goes down with an injury.
However, it does not look like time-wasting.
Ake is holding his hamstring and he will probably have to be taken off.
    Bayern Munich 0-1 Man City
    63. Davies on and Cancelo off.
Then it’s the two that had the fight after last week’s loss – Mane on for Sane.
The two do shake hands as the substitution is made.
    Bayern Munich 0-1 Man City
    62. The belief has been sucked out of Bayern Munich and Man City are loving it.
The confidence is now showing as Grealish makes a number of defenders squirm with his trickery.
And De Bruyne strolls over to take a corner.

Watch Carragher and Richards burst out laughing at Tomori’s description of Arsenal legend Thierry Henry on CBS Sports

And after AC Milan booked their spot in the semi-finals, the crew chatted to defender Tomori.
And the articulate 25-year-old, who grew up in Kent, had the panel in stitches with his comment.
Carragher said: “A little birdie tells me the guy who asked the question before me [Henry] is one of your biggest idols.
“What are your thoughts of him as a pundit as well as a player?”

Tomori replied: “As a player of course there’s not much to be said.
“Growing up, Thierry I hope you don’t mind me embarrassing you like this, but yeah I was a big fan and he was my idol.
“Obviously as I was getting older, I moved further back down the pitch.”
Then he cracked the former defenders in the studio up.

Tomori added: “As a pundit, he’s really funny.”
Carragher immediately jumped in, shouting: “Funny? Funny? That’s me and Micah not Thierry, he’s the analyst.”
But Tomori explained: “We were watching the video of him doing the guess who and he guessed himself twice instead of Oli [Giroud]. So yeah he’s really funny.”
And that prompted more hilarious reactions from the ex-players and host Kate Abdo.
Tomori was clearly buzzing to reach the last four of the Champions League, shocking Napoli over two legs to set up a showdown with either Benfica or city rivals Inter Milan for a place in the final.
However, he was just as delighted to chat with his hero Henry.
The ex-Chelsea defender tweeted the CBS clip and wrote: “Talk to your footballing idol? Completed it mate✅.”
But Abdo did have to apologise to Tomori after blunder pair Carragher and Richards both mispronounced his name as Fuh-kaw-ree instead of Fuh-kay-ow.
And the brilliant triple act of pundits were left crying with laughter when Tomori’s Milan team-mate Rafael Leao could not understand Carragher’s thick Scouse accent.

Everything ‘idiot’ Boehly has done at ‘Mickey Mouse’ club Chelsea was a mistake including Lampard, slams Jamie O’Hara

CHELSEA owner Todd Boehly’s “Micky Mouse” decisions have all been a “mistake” this season, claims Jamie O’Hara.Former Tottenham ace O’Hara put Boehly on full blast after the Blues crashed out of the Champions League with a 4-0 aggregate loss to Real Madrid.

That means the West Londoners’ interim manager Frank Lampard has lost all four of his matches ever since his surprise return to Stamford Bridge to replace Graham Potter.
O’Hara lashed out at Chelsea’s owner as he called him “a bit of an idiot” and claims everything he did was wrong.
That includes the “shocking” appointment of Lampard as he’s “too low on confidence” and all the players are “totally lost” under his coaching.
O’Hara told Grosvenor Sport: “Everything Todd Boehly has done so far has been a mistake.
    Read More on Chelsea
“The recruitment has been shocking; he brought in Graham Potter and all his backroom staff which turned out to be a nightmare, and now they haven’t won a game yet under Lampard – so you’d have to say that’s probably another mistake appointing him.
“In my opinion, Todd Boehly’s a bit of an idiot, and he’s thrown Frank a bone to ‘come and bring Chelsea back’, but Frank’s too low on confidence – he has lost all eight of his games as a manager in 2023!
“It’s Micky Mouse stuff what has happened at that football club recently; they’ve got a billionaire owner in Boehly, but you could have all the money in the world and not have a clue how to run a football club.
“It’s been a joke – Boehly has actually buried the mentality of that football team, and the DNA of Chelsea is completely lost at the moment. They need to find it again, and quickly.

“I don’t know where his [Lampard’s] career goes from here. I think he’s a bit lost for ideas; he needs to go away and work on his managerial skills and game.
“I look at Chelsea and they just look totally lost under him; the players don’t know what they’re doing.
“There’s no point in doing another managerial change now, unless that manager is guaranteed to be there at the start of next season.
“I don’t know who the manager is that they’re trying to get, but he’d want to bring in his own people and own staff and have a fresh start. They wouldn’t want to come into this – it’s a poisoned chalice right now.” More

Todd Boehly set to slash NINETEEN Chelsea stars’ wages after crashing out of Champions League

CHELSEA are set to slash 19 players’ wages when they fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League. The Blues crashed out of the competition last night after being beaten 4-0 on aggregate by Real Madrid.
Todd Boehly had implemented a new contracts strategyCredit: Rex
The defeat ended Chelsea’s faint prospect of qualifying for next season’s Champions League by virtue of winning it this time around.
And with Frank Lampard’s side 11th in the Premier League, 17 points off fourth with seven matches left, they will not qualify for Europe’s premier competition via their league position either.
Co-owner Todd Boehly has guarded against the financial hit of not being in the Champions League by inserting clauses in players’ contracts.
According to the Telegraph, some stars will see their wages slashed by as much as 30 per cent.

Only players that have signed contracts since Boehly’s takeover last year will be affected.
This includes the 12 permanent signings made, as well as seven senior players that have extended their contracts.
First team squad members who have not extended their contracts since Boehly’s arrival will not have their salaries reduced.
Under Roman Abramovich, Chelsea would only tie bonuses to winning trophies, rather than merely qualifying for the Champions League.

High earners remaining on Abramovich-era contracts include Kepa Arrizabalaga and Kai Havertz.
While key man N’Golo Kante is set to be out of contract this summer, and would need to sign an extension on Boehly’s terms.
Thiago Silva, Reece James, Cesar Azpilicueta, Ben Chilwell, Trevoh Chalobah, Armando Broja and Marcus Bettinelli have penned new deals since Boehly’s arrival.
The American, 49, went into the Chelsea dressing room after their 2-1 defeat to Brighton on Saturday – ranting that his stars are “embarrassing”.
Thiago Silva subsequently blasted the Chelsea owners’ strategy after his side’s Champions League exit last night.
The Brazilian scathingly told TNT Sports Brazil: “I think the first step has been made, an incorrect step, but it has been made.
“We can’t be blaming the managers if we don’t take responsibility. It’s a hard period for the club, with a lot of indecision.
“Change of ownership, new players arriving – we had to increase the size of the changing room because it didn’t fit the size of the squad.
“A positive point is that there are amazing players in the squad but on the other hand there are always players that are going to be unhappy.

“There is always going to be someone upset because not everyone can play. The manager can only pick 11 from a squad of 30-something – that’s tough.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti reveals his genius half-time tactical tweak to nullify Chelsea threat

CARLO ANCELOTTI made a superb tactical change at half-time during Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over Chelsea. The Italian coach, 63, guided his side to the Champions League semi-finals on Tuesday night as victory at Stamford Bridge sealed a 4-0 aggregate triumph.

But his former club Chelsea were causing the reigning European champions some trouble in the opening 45 minutes.
Frank Lampard packed the midfield with Enzo Fernandez and Mateo Kovacic holding and Conor Gallagher and N’Golo Kante in more forward areas – forming a box in the middle of the park.
Kante, 32, was getting some joy in the right channel as Reece James’ high position drew Eduardo Camavinga out.
And with the game goalless at the break, Ancelotti chose to move midfielder Fede Valverde in to help cover that area in the second half.
    READ MORE IN FOOTBALL
Speaking after the game, he said: “I think that we suffered the position of Kante, that wasn’t right.
“Camavinga was used to put pressure on Reece James on the left and we had difficulty controlling the position of Kante.
“In the second half [I] changed the position. I put Valverde on the left just to control the position and we were much better there because the position in the first half Modric went to stay with Enzo and that position was not covered properly and Camavinga suffered two against one.
“Because of this there were six crosses from that side in the first half. Second half was much better.”

Ancelotti also hailed keeper Thibaut Courtois after his brilliant first-half save to deny Marc Cucurella.
He added: “We’re very happy to reach another semi final.
“We fought a lot, it was a complicated game as we predicted. In this type of game the rival is going to give everything.
“Chelsea played very well, especially in the first half. They caused us a lot of problems, Courtois saved us, kept it 0-0 until half time.
“In the second half we played a lot better, we had a lot more quality. Chelsea lowered their intensity a bit and we were able to control the ball better.”
Real Madrid will now face either Manchester City or Bayern Munich in the semi-finals.

Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez SLAMMED and told error against Real Madrid ‘must be addressed’

CHELSEA’S record signing Enzo Fernandez has been slammed for his performance against Real Madrid. And one particular error “must be addressed”, with a second eventually leading to a goal.
Enzo Fernandez’s performance against Real Madrid has been blastedCredit: Rex
Fernandez, 22, lined up in midfield last night as the Blues were beaten 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.
He became the most expensive midfielder in history when he joined Chelsea from Benfica for £107million in January.
And Fernandez has so far impressed in 15 appearances.
However, the World Cup winner with Argentina struggled to compete with Luka Modric and Toni Kroos yesterday.
    READ MORE ON FOOTBALL
One particular incident saw Fernandez lose possession before slowly jogging backwards as Chelsea team-mate Conor Gallagher, deployed as a forward, raced past him to defend.
Minutes later, Fernandez gave the ball away again and quickly saw Real Madrid take the lead through Rodrygo as he sauntered along the pitch.
This did not go down well with Champions League winner and Holland icon Wesley Sneijder.
The former Inter Milan and Real Madrid star believes Todd Boehly has every right to be furious with his big-money signing.

And Sneijder insists Fernandez must address his work-rate issues instead of just focusing on playing passes.
He told RTL7: “If you have been brought in as a player for €100million then you can at least expect that he will run his lungs out, right?
“But he walked! He loses the ball himself, then he has a moment of mourning. You see Enzo, a €100m purchase [sic], trudge a bit while Gallagher runs past him.
“That is not possible, it must be addressed.
“You look at a boy like that and I wonder: what does he take ownership of? He doesn’t. I’d call that boy on the mat tomorrow.
“I don’t think he’s a great footballer either. You [the show’s presenter] said he did it for Lionel Messi [at the World Cup]. I thought he would do it at Chelsea too, but he doesn’t.
“If things don’t go smoothly in football, and you’re not scoring goals, then you have to make sure you don’t concede. You have to run your lungs out, and he won’t do that.
“I understand that [going and speaking to the players]. As an owner, you have paid so much money, so you are angry and you walk in.
“If you are the owner watching in the stands and you see that Gallagher is making such a sprint and your €100m [sic] player is not, then yes, I would also get angry!” More
