Neymar ‘likes’ anti-Kylian Mbappe post blasting Frenchman’s ‘ego’ as ‘rift’ between ex-PSG team-mates appears to worsen

The 25-year-old will leave Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer after seven glorious years at the club.
He spent the majority of his time in the French capital alongside Neymar who joined for a world record fee in the summer of 2017.
Despite Mbappe signing for less – but still over £100million – he became the main man at the Parc Des Princes with rumours of the pair not always getting along.
And now the Brazillian who left for Saudi side Al-Hilal last summer has reignited the feud by liking a post criticising Mbappe’s influence at PSG, according to the Daily Mail.

Brazilian social media account Jogada Ensaiada posted a photo of the pair with the caption: “no player should be bigger than the institution.”
The Instagram carousel then read, “PSG, an example of football management.
“They knew how to bring together the best players and had the best team on the planet.
“When the team started to do well, the ego of a ‘certain Frenchman’ began to disturb the atmosphere.

“Mbappe started to feel excluded, most of the team members spoke Spanish and he threatened to leave.
“To not lose his precious, PSG started selling those who did not were not aligned with Mbappe’s thoughts and brought in the French players he wanted.

“After doing everything to make everything go his way, Mbappe communicated to PSG that he would leave the club for free at the end of the season. And in the end, this is what remains at PSG.”
According to reports the Frenchman has signed a five-year deal, keeping him at the Santiago Bernabeu until June 2029.
The La Liga giants will pay Mbappe less than his £42.8m – around £827,000-a-week – wages at PSG.
However, he is still set to become the club’s highest-paid player, surpassing Jude Bellingham by a significant margin.
The Frenchman is due to earn around £340,000 a week at Madrid
Mbappe reportedly also wants several bonuses added into his contract.
The World Cup winner joined PSG in a £154m transfer from Monaco in 2018 and has since scored 243 goals and provided 105 assists in 290 appearances. More

Why Man Utd and Tottenham fans need to cheer on Arsenal in crunch Champions League clash with Porto

MANCHESTER United and Spurs fans will find themselves in a horrible position on Wednesday evening – wanting ARSENAL to WIN.Uefa’s expansion of the Champions League next season means there will be an extra automatic place from the domestic leagues of the two best-performing countries across the three European competitions.

England stood in third, narrowly behind second-placed Germany, at the end of the group phase in December.
But because all six survivors – after Manchester United and Newcastle bit the dust by finishing bottom – won their groups, only Manchester City and Arsenal are in action across the first fortnight of the knock-out rounds.
Uefa’s coefficient ranking sees all the match and bonus points acquired by a country’s clubs divided by the number of teams involved at the start of the season – with England and Spain both having the maximum possible eight.
It meant that City’s win over Copenhagen and a potential Arsenal win at Porto can earn England a maximum 0.5 ranking points.
    READ MORE IN FOOTBALL
By contrast, Germany with five teams in action, could have earned 2.142pts, France (five clubs) 3.167pts, Spain (six clubs) 1.5pts and Italy (five teams) 2.286pts.
Big hauls by the rival nations could have dropped England out of the top four.
Instead, only Italy managed two wins, with victories for Lazio and Milan and a draw for Roma cashed in last week.
Both of Germany’s Champions League sides lost and Frankfurt and Freiburg were held to draws in the other competitions.

Real Madrid’s win in Leipzig was Spain’s only victory – as Sociedad lost at PSG and Betis were upset by Zagreb, while only PSG won out of France’s quintet of clubs in action.
The Prem will then have all six remaining sides in action over two weeks next month, with City already virtually home and hosed and Liverpool, Brighton, West Ham and Villa confident of progression.
Eight bizarre football rules you may not know
A full house of Prem club wins would be worth a total of 2.75 ranking points including bonuses, likely to move England back to the summit of the table.
It means the true state of the race for the extra spots will become far clearer by March 14.
But in the meantime, the further Arsenal go, the better it is for Spurs and United.

    Napoli vs Barcelona
Our #PickYourPunt selections: Napoli to win, Kvaratskhelia to score and Napoli over 4.5 corners.
Here’s why we’ve made each selection:

Napoli to win: The league is beyond them and a new manager in the dugout could eke out more. Realistically need to take a lead to Spain if they want to progress and could do just that.
Kvaratskhelia to score: The Georgian hasn’t been prolific this season but has been a huge player for Napoli. Did score in recent home win over Verona and will be needed on top form if they’re to take a win here.
Napoli over 4.5 corners: Have registered 16 corners in last two home games. Attacking wingers aren’t the issue and this number isn’t a high target to hit.

    Napoli vs Barcelona preview
Amongst a sea of ties that don’t ignite the imagination, this last-16 bout sees the champions of Italy and Spain face off.
Last season saw both teams emerge victorious domestically in emphatic fashion. But this season it’s a completely different story.
Napoli binned interim boss Walter Mazzarri after needing a late goal to nick a draw against Genoa at the weekend, with the current champs flailing in NINTH spot in Serie A – a whopping 27 points off leaders Inter.
They’ve only registered one win in their last five games and will now be managed by Slovakia boss Francesco Calzona – their third boss of the season.
Barca sit third in La Liga and eight points adrift of Real Madrid at this stage, so perhaps can put more energy into this competition.
They are at least unbeaten in their last four games and have progressed twice against the Italian side in this competition in the last four years.

    Napoli vs Barcelona betting tips
Napoli to score over 1.5 goals at 23/20 with Ladbrokes – CLAIM HERE
They’re not in the best form at the minute but maybe this competition can kick them into life.
The league is beyond them and even reaching European football will be a tall order.
Have scored at least twice in three of last five games, with Barca conceding ten goals in their last five games.
Robert Lewandowski to score anytime at 7/5 with Paddy Power – CLAIM HERE
Clearly still got it even in his twilight years and he’s good value to make his mark on this tie.
Four goals in his last three games.
Napoli win and BTTS at 10/3 with Paddy Power – CLAIM HERE
Controversial take but all eggs are in the European basket for Napoli and they could take a lead to the Camp Nou.
But they have conceded in four of their last five home games.
New manager bounce could come into play and a slender lead to take to Spain is the play.

Under 1.5 goals at 9/4 with TalkSPORT BET – CLAIM HERE
It’s difficult to see Arsenal’s recent flurry of goals continuing against Porto on Wednesday.
Yes, the Gunners have been prolific – but Porto have a pretty mean defence at the Estadio do Dragao. The hosts, though not enjoying the best of spells, keep things extremely tight with no side having conceded fewer than their five in 11 home league games this season.
In fact, the hosts haven’t conceded a single goal in any of their last five home matches. Arsenal, meanwhile, only conceded four in the group stages – a record bettered only by Real Sociedad (2).
Pepe to be carded at 21/10 with TalkSPORT BET – CLAIM HERE
    Pepe, we meet again.
At the age of 40, everyone’s favourite pantomime villain Pepe is still Porto’s first-choice central defender alongside Fabio Cardoso.
The Portuguese is master of the dark arts with 197 cautions during his 725-game career, which started back in the 2001/2002 season with Maritimo.
Arsenal’s lightning-quick fluid attack should give the veteran defender more than a few problems this week, and Pepe should relish in looking to set a marker for his side.

Arsenal and Liverpool have both been linked with a summer swoop for him, but Marca claim Real Madrid won the transfer race two weeks ago.
Mbappe allegedly put pen to paper on a contract earlier this month, making a “firm commitment” to Los Blancos.
The Frenchman has signed a five-year deal, keeping him at the Santiago Bernabeu until June 2029.
Real Madrid are set to hand him a £85.5million signing-on fee upon his arrival.

Mbappe will become the club’s highest earner, surpassing Jude Bellingham.
That’s despite taking a pay-cut and accepting a lower wage.
He reportedly demanded a minimum of £42.8m-a-season – around £827,000-a-week – during negotiations.
However, Real Madrid officials wanted to bring that figure down.

He caused a stir among the PSG camp last summer after refusing to sign a new contract.
The Ligue 1 giants subsequently accepted a huge £259million offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal for him, but Mbappe rejected the move.
He was briefly axed from the squad and sent to train with PSG’s “undesirables” – a group of players not wanted by the club.
However, he made a return at the start of the Ligue 1 campaign and has since scored 32 goals in 31 appearances across all competitions. More

Luis Suarez reveals Arsenal ‘had Karim Benzema transfer all done’, before his bite on Chiellini changed everything

LUIS SUAREZ has claimed his infamous bite on Giorgio Chiellini caused Arsenal to lose out on signing Karim Benzema. The year was 2014 and Suarez was looking to leave Liverpool with both Real Madrid and Barcelona interested.

And Madrid already had Benzema on the way out and Suarez lined up for a replacement during the World Cup.
But after the Uruguayan was caught biting Chiellini, he claimed Madrid lost interest.
He instead decided to join Barca, meaning Madrid kept Benzema and Arsenal were left empty handed.
He told La Mesa: “Before the 2014 World Cup, Real Madrid wanted to sign me and everything was on track.

“They were planning to sell Benzema to Arsenal, it was all done. “When the World Cup started, Barca joined the race, and obviously I preferred Barca.
