With cameras following their every step, the 26-year-old Young Boys captain asked Haaland for his shirt as they approached the tunnel.
Haaland could be heard responding “you can’t do this,” but as Camara persisted, the 23-year-old did hand over his shirt.
Camara subsequently patted Haaland on the back as they headed to the changing rooms.
Fans were left divided by the move, heading to X, formerly known as Twiter, to debate the incident.

One such fan said: “Ridiculous!!! End of game yes but at half time ????”
Another agreed, commenting: “A player should be focused on the match and not that if you ask me.”
By comparison, one added: “Why not, if I was in Young Boys I would too.”
While a fourth wrote: “No time to wait. Every opportunity you have, grab it.”

In the second half, Haaland added his second of the night in the 51st minute with a wonderful shot across the goal, beating an outstretched Anthony Racioppi in the Young Boys goal.
With the game seemingly sealed at 3-0, he was swiftly pulled along with Kyle Walker at the 61st minute.
Norwegian midfielder Oscar Bobb and England’s Kalvin Phillips were brought on to replace the duo.
City went on to close out the game 3-0 to seal a spot in the Champions League Round of 16 having won all four of their group games so far.
The next team to have the opportunity to swap shirts with Haaland will be Chelsea, who face the Cityzens at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Pep Guardiola’s side will hope to take the opportunity to pull clear of second-placed Tottenham, who lost both Micky van de Ven and James Maddison to injuries during their 4-1 loss to Chelsea on Monday.
Spurs will also be without Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie who were both sent off in the manic game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Milan fans still haven’t forgiven Donnarumma, whom the accuse of leaving them for money
As the 24-year-old made his way to his goalposts the Rossoneri faithful showered him with fake bank notes.
The fake money showed a portrait of the Italy international with a caption that read, “Mercenary”.
And the currency of those bank notes appears to be called “Dollarumma”.
That is because the Milan fans have yet to forgive Donnarumma for leaving the club as a free agent two years ago.

The supporters still accuse the Italian of leaving his boyhood club for PSG’s riches solely because of money.
The keeper came up through the Milan academy and made his Serie A debut at the age of 16.
Donnarumma went on to amass a staggering 251 appearances during his six-year stint at the club.
That quickly turned him into a club hero, while many expected him to reach legend status.

However, the shot-stopper and the Serie A giants failed to agree on a new contract in 2021.
Donnarumma also wanted to play in the Champions League and challenge for Europe’s highest honour.
That led him to PSG where he joined on the same year that saw Lionel Messi leaving Barcelona for the Parisians. More

Even Micah was lost for words
Introduced by host Abdo as a “Fulham legend and proud Texan,” Dempsey was asked “what’s been happening in your life?” by the 42-year-old.
Seemingly to the surprise of everybody in the studio, he responded: “Well, I’ve got the snip since the last time I’ve been in. No more kids.”
Regular pundit Micah Richards was lost for words, for once, before bursting into laughter with stunned pal Jamie Carragher.
Carragher swiftly asked: “What was it like?”

To which Dempsey said: “It wasn’t as bad as I thought it was gonna be to be honest.”
The former US star went on to reveal that he was awake throughout the vasectomy.
Unsurprisingly, viewers swiftly took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to comment on the unexpected comment.
One fan asked: “Why did he feel the need to reveal that” along with a laughing emoji.

To which another viewer responded: “Because he is a grown man with emotional intelligence and willing to use his platform to show other men that these things are ok and good to talk about.
“Legends do that kind of stuff.”
As a third added: “Welcome to the club @clint_dempsey.”
But this isn’t the first time the father of six has raised the topic on-air.
Last September, during another Champions League broadcast on CBS Sports, Dempsey responded “Gotta get the snip” when Abdo mentioned that his sixth child was on the way.
He went on to joke: “That’s why I’m here, gotta pay for college. College is not cheap.”
Dempsey retired back in 2018 after a lengthy career which saw him play for the likes of Fulham, Tottenham, and the US.

Borussia Dortmund 2 Newcastle 0: Eddie Howe’s huge gamble backfires as injury-hit Toon left on the brink of exit

JUST over a month on from battering PSG, Newcastle’s Champions League adventure is in serious danger of ending in a damp squib. And to think it was just a fortnight ago that Geordie icon Kevin Keegan said with a straight face that the Magpies could lift the trophy.

Well, they will now almost certainly have to beat PSG in their backyard to stand a chance of reaching the knockouts.
Two defeats on the bounce to Borussia Dortmund show Toon are a still a long way off really mixing it with the European giants.
It could have all been so different if Joelinton didn’t nod an absolute sitter wide at 1-0.
But Newcastle didn’t look like a Champions League outfit for the most part, and they’ll now need a minor miracle if they want to remain one after Christmas.

Their demolition of PSG showed they can handle anyone at St James’ Park.
Yet on the road, on the biggest stages, and they are way off it.
Niclas Fullkrug and Julian Brandt saw them off and while Eddie Howe’s squad is down to its bare bones, they did themselves no  favours here.
Howe has barely put a foot wrong in two years at the helm but starting youngster Lewis Hall and benching first-choice wingers Miguel Almiron and Anthony Gordon has to go down as one.

With only 13 available outfield players due to an ever worsening injury crisis, Howe could only name eight subs instead of 11.
Two of those were keepers while two more were kids who have never featured for the Magpies.
Dortmund, the only side to beat the Magpies in the last 12, did a job on them at St James’ Park.
The Germans were Harry Kane-d by Bayern Munich last weekend but, shooting towards the bouncing Yellow Wall in the first half, they were all over Newcastle early on.
Nick Pope denied Fullkrug and Karim Adeyemi, with the latter – an old school bruiser of a centre-forward – causing the defence no end of problems.
But just when it looked like Newcastle had weathered the storm and were growing into it, Fullkrug struck.

Teenage left-back Hall was already having a rough ride and he was at fault for the opener as he failed to deal with it in the box, allowing Marcel Sabitzer to get on the ball and square for the striker to bury.
Newcastle had moments in the first half, yet they were too few.

Kieran Trippier’s low cross from a smart routine corner just behind the lurking Callum Wilson was as good as it got.
On top of Hall having a stinker, Trippier couldn’t stop giving it away, Jamaal Lascelles looked shaky in the heart of defence, Joe Willock was off the boil, Joelinton was ineffective on the left wing, and Wilson was isolated on his own up top.
Changes were needed to keep their Champions League dreams alive, and Howe hooked Hall and Wilson for Almiron at the break.
And within minutes of the restart the Mags had one of their most promising openings when Fabian Schar played a beautiful ball over the top to the onrushing Tino Livramento.
While it didn’t lead to anything, hope was restored for the travelling Toon Army.
And they really should  have levelled up soon after when Livramento delivered a wicked cross from the right.
It was the perfect ball, requiring the simplest of headers – but Joelinton somehow nodded wide from four yards.
With his head in his hands, Howe knew that was THE chance.
The odds were stacked against them creating anything better as the clock ticked on.
The locals were starting to worry as Newcastle started to dominate.
You could feel the tension inside the Westfalenstadion as Trippier lined up a free-kick from the left touchline with 12 minutes remaining.

But the England right-back’s delivery was woeful, headed clear at the front post, and it was game over seconds later.
Dortmund broke at breakneck speed with Julian Brandt taking it on and on before firing off his left peg past Pope into the bottom corner.

Dortmund fans were believed to be protesting against reforms to the Champions League format next season, and the corrupting effect of money in football more broadly.
A banner in the stands read: “You don’t care about the sport – all you care about is money.”
Players helped to get the game going again as quickly as possible by clearing rubbish and fake gold bars from the pitch.
But as the game continued, there was still rubbish on the pitch at the end Dortmund were attacking.

A document entitled Reclaim the Game laid out a section of Dortmund fans’ grievances online.
It features the tagline: “Football for millions of fans, not for billions of Euros!”
Dortmund led 1-0 at the time of the protest.
After peppering Nick Pope’s goal for much of the first half, it was Niclas Fullkrug who gave the home side the lead with a close range finish.

Which Dream Team players have scored the most points in the Champions League this season?

THE Champions League is arguably the second-most important competition in the world of Dream Team.Premier League fixtures make up the bread and butter of our beloved fantasy game but the points earned in the European Cup go a long way to deciding Mini Leagues worldwide.
With that in mind, let’s take a glance at which players have scored the most points in the Champions League so far this season ahead of the next round of fixtures.

PLAY SCORE PREDICTOR AHEAD OF THIS WEEKEND’S ACTION – SOMEBODY MUST WIN AN XBOX SERIES X!

MOST POINTS IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2023/24

    Gabriel Jesus (£5.2m) – 34 pts
    Julian Alvarez (£4.6m) – 33 pts
    Erling Haaland (£7.6m) – 28 pts
    Rasmus Hojlund (£3.7m) – 24 pts
    Jeremy Doku (£3.9m) – 24 pts
    Rodri (£4.1m) – 21 pts
    Martin Odegaard (£4.9m) – 21 pts
    Dan Burn (£3.9m) – 19 pt

Arsenal’s No9 leads the way having scored in all three of his side’s European games this campaign.
The Brazilian forward was particularly good against Sevilla last time out, earning 14 points in a 2-1 win, but he’s unlikely to keep hold of top spot having picked up another unfortunate injury.
Still, Dream Team bosses should note that Jesus has found returns easy to come by in midweek when fit.
It’s no surprise to see Manchester City’s top goalscorers on the podium as Pep Guardiola’s side have had the most success in the Champions League of the four English teams this term.

Alvarez claimed 21 of his 33 Champions League points in one fell swoop against Red Star – two goals, five shots on target, 90 minutes played, two tackles and three bonus points.
Manchester United face an uphill battle to qualify for the knockout stages having lost to Bayern Munich and Galatasaray despite their Danish forward scoring three goals across those two fixtures.
Hojlund is yet to score in the Premier League but he has looked sharp in Europe – Dream Team bosses will need to see more from him domestically before they consider him a viable option.
City’s tricky Belgian completes the top five having plundered 24 points despite playing just 136 minutes in the Champions League this season.
Doku has proven in quick time that he doesn’t need to start every game to mix it with Dream Team’s top midfielders.

At this stage, Burn is Newcastle’s continental king having held firm under pressure at San Siro and scored in that dream win over PSG at St James’ Park in Gameweek 7.
Eddie Howe’s side were largely outplayed by both Milan and Borussia Dortmund; how they go against the Bundesliga giants later today will give Dream Team bosses a clearer picture of the Magpies’ future fortunes in Europe.

The main conclusion from this exercise is that Man City are the team to back when searching for Champions League points.
