Maldini, 55, has two sons who are also professional footballers paving their own careers.
The former AC Milan star made 647 Serie A appearances for the club winning the competition seven times.
He also won the Champions League three times as well as two European Cups before the tournament was re-branded.
Sons Daniel and Christian however are yet to achieve a similar success.

Christian, 27, started his youth career at AC Milan but never made a first-team appearance for the club.
Like his father, he played as a central defender although he has struggled to make it in the top division.
Christian has played for Italian sides in the lower leagues such as Reggiana, Pro Sesto, Fondi, Pro Piancenza, Fano and Lecco.
He retired from football in September this year in order to pursue a career as a football agent.

Daniel, 22, is the younger of the two brothers and is showing signs of becoming a top player.
He has already made 15 appearances for AC Milan and has scored for the Italian giants.
Unlike his family members, he plays as an attacking midfielder and was part of the team that won the 2021/22 Serie A title.
Father Paolo was in attendance to see Daniel lift the trophy at the San Siro.

Daniel has not cemented himself in the club’s first-team as of yet and spent last season out on loan at Spezia.
He made 18 appearances in Serie A for the club, scoring two goals.
His first goal for the club came in a 2-1 defeat to AC Milan, his other goal however came in a 2-1 win over Inter Milan.
The midfielder is spending this campaign at Empoli, however, the club does have an option to make the move permanent.
The campaign has been a tough one for Daniel as he has struggled with muscular problems which has limited him to just three appearances.
He has featured for Italy at the U18s, U19, and U20s but he could opt to represent Venezuela on the international stage through his mother Adrianna Fossa.

Newcastle handed double blow to squad ahead of PSG clash due to little-known Champions League rule

NEWCASTLE have been dealt another blow ahead of their crucial Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain.That is because the Magpies’ manager Eddie Howe has seen his already thin squad cut by a further two absentees ahead of tonight’s crunch game against PSG at Parc des Princes.

Alex Murphy and Amadou Diallo are not allowed to be involved against the French champions due to a little-known UEFA rule.
Murphy, 19, and Diallo, 20, can’t be part of the Toon’s B squad because they have not been with the club for more than two years.
Thus, Howe was left with just 18 players in his already injury-ravaged squad.
That is why the 45-year-old tactician went on to enlist 19-year-old James Huntley.

The ex-Bournemouth boss can also pick 17-year-old star Lewis Miley as he took part in training on Monday after his impressive performance on Saturday’s 4-1 win over Chelsea.
Howe said: “There is every chance he [Miley] will be involved; I think he is ready. He has a great temperament for these occasions.
“The thing I loved about him after the game on Saturday, it was just another game for him, that is how he will need to approach this one.
“We are pretty much as we were at the weekend, but just with a few absentees who can’t play in this competition.

“Joe [Willock] is seeing a specialist tomorrow, we are still unsure on him. Sean [Longstaff] has not travelled.”
Howe is already dealing with a long injury list as Sven Botman, Dan Burn, Elliot Anderson, Harvey Barnes, Callum Wilson, Joe Willock and Sean Longstaff are all crocked.
Newcastle are bottom of Group F as they’ve only won one out of their four Champions League matches against PSG and lost twice to Borussia Dortmund. More

Moment brawl erupts between Newcastle & PSG fans in front of ‘families with kids’ before Champions League clash

A HUGE brawl between Newcastle and PSG fans erupted in Paris last night less than 24 hours before their crucial Champions League clash.Newcastle fans claimed PSG ultras stormed into a restaurant and threw chairs, smashed glasses and let off flares in front of terrified families and kids.

Footage on X, formerly known as Twitter, shows a group of people – thought to be Newcastle fans – stuck inside a pub as chairs and drinks are thrown at the restaurant’s front entrance by both groups.
Bright red flares just outside the front doors can also be seen plaguing the area making it hard to see through the smoke.
According to @GeordieJord who posted the video, the Newcastle fans in the 30 second clip were sat outside a bar having a drink moments before the video started.
It’s also believed there were children, women and families having a drink at the same place when the situation badly escalated.

Many of the people seen throwing chairs at the glass windows have hidden their identities by wearing hoods and face masks.
Throughout the chaos a voice can be heard pleading for the fighting to end.
A man says: “Stop it, Stop, Stop it.”
The clash happened less than 24 hours before their crucial Champions League group stage match that Newcastle need to win to have a chance to qualify for the knockout round.

The teams are both still battling it out to qualify from Group F as all four teams can still go through.
The clip has already got over 440,000 views and has several comments noting that similar issues occured in the return fixture when Parisians came to Newcastle.
Back in October, Newcastle breezed past PSG, battering them 4-1 in their only win in Europe this year but before the game fans clashed and videos showed both sets of fans being aggressive and having to be quickly separated.
Videos show bottles and flares being thrown back and forth between both sets of fans.
Many of those filmed have their hoods up.
Chants of “Who are ya?” could be heard as Newcastle supporters taunted the travelling Parisians on their way to the stadium.
While police officers lined the streets and acted as a barrier between PSG’s away following and the Toon Army.
When Newcastle played Borussia Dortmund in October nine people were reportedly arrested.
There was a heavy police presence on the streets approaching the ground pre match and cops have now revealed eight men and a woman have been detained.
Dortmund supporters were heard chanting in both German and English as fights reportedly broke out between rival fans, with cops attempting to keep them apart.

Newcastle ‘line up PSG striker loan in January but Champions League rivals demand permanent transfer’

NEWCASTLE are lined up to reignite interest with Paris Saint-Germain’s Hugo Ekitike but the French giants demand a permanent transfer. The Magpies are looking at a loan deal but their Champions League rivals do not see a future for the Frenchman at the Parc Des Princes.

Ekitike, 21, has not been named in PSG Champions League squad meaning he won’t face Newcastle on Tuesday night.
So far this term the striker has made just one appearance for the Ligue 1 side and scored only four goals since his arrival from Reims in 2022.
And the Frenchman is now open to leave in January and is ready to draw a line under his frustrating start in Paris.
Newcastle alongside other Premier League clubs will have their eye on the striker who is keen on a move to top-flight English football.
    READ MORE FOOTBALL NEWS
According to Caught Offside, Financial Fair Play is pushing the Magpies to opt for a loan deal rather than a permanent transfer.
The report also claims Newcastle are insisting on the temporary move as they are “wary” of the French flops underwhelming performance.
It has been claimed that if an offer of around £30-35million arrives the French Champions will “strongly advise” the player to agree.
Reims had originally accepted Newcastle’s offer for Ekitike in 2022, but the forward stalled the transfer.

PSG recruited the former U20 star on loan last year with an option to buy but his move was said to have a mandatory £30million purchase which kicked in this year.
Despite the deal, the French side tried to sell him during the summer due to his slow start.
Frankfurt and Zenit made a bid but the forward was rejected by him and his agent Karl Mwalako Buchmann as they wanted a move to the Premier League.
But again a deal failed to be agreed at Crystal Palace, West Ham and Everton despite their best efforts to win his signature.
With Luis Enrique’s side now growing frustrated of Ekitike a move in the new year is on the cards as the Spaniard no longer sees him fit as a footballer or personality. More

Our #PickYourPunt selections: Jack Grealish to score, Phil Foden 1+ assists, over 3.5 goals and over 9.5 shots on target in the match.
    Here’s why we’ve picked those selections…

Jack Grealish to score: The winger has seen very little minutes in the Premier League – in fact just 32 mins in the last three games. But he’s had 90 minutes in the last two Champions League games and was subbed on 71 mins in the reverse fixture of this game. Needs to make presence felt.
Phil Foden to assist: He has three assists in 13 league games. Has played the full game in five consecutive games for club and country, though always the risk that Pep can do his thing and make changes. But is City’s creative spark.
Over 3.5 goals: There have been 19 goals in City’s last four games. The hosts have also scored an average of three goals in this competition so far. Four goals scored in reverse fixture.
Over 9.5 shots on target: A total of 17 shots were on target in Germany when the sides last met. City’s firepower could see this land by the half time break. Will also give chances away.

AC Milan history-maker BANNED from facing Newcastle in Champions League… and won’t be able to play until March

AC MILAN youngster Francesco Camarda is not eligible to face Newcastle in the Champions League next month due to a strict Uefa rule. The 15-year-old made history at the weekend when he became the youngest Serie A player of all time.

However, the teenager is ineligible to play in the Champions League until MarchCredit: Rex
Camarda was introduced in the 83rd minute of AC Milan’s clash with Fiorentina to replace Luka Jovic.
But despite impressing fans during his short on-field cameo, the striker will not be able to represent the Italian giants in the Champions League.
A key Uefa rule states that a player cannot make his debut before the age of 16 and without a professional contract.
Camarda will not turn 16 until March, meaning he will not be able to make his Champions League debut until then.

Furthermore, he would have also been ineligible to represent AC Milan in the club’s remaining group stage games due to a red card received during a Uefa Youth League clash with PSG Under-19’s earlier this month.
It means that the teenager will not be available to face Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday or Newcastle next month.
Camarda’s parents were in tears as they watched their son make his senior debut for AC Milan on Saturday evening.
Rossoneri won the match against Fiorentina 1-0 thanks to a goal from Theo Hernandez.
