      When is Carabao Cup quarter-final draw? Date, start time, TV channel, live stream and ball numbers CONFIRMED

      THE CARABAO CUP is rolling on at pace this week with crunch fourth-round ties and the quarter-final draw.In previous years, draws from the competition had taken place live from a Morrisons supermarket and also during the middle of the night from Bangkok – and yet again organisers have something rather special planned for the last eight draw.

      It was back in June 2019 when the draw took place from a Collindale branch of Supermarket giants Morrisons, with John Barnes and Ray Parlour doing the honours.
      While two years prior, in energy drink manufacturers Carabao’s first season as League Cup sponsors they took the draw to Thailand’s capital Bangkok, and it took place during the middle of the night UK time.
      Though that draw didn’t go off without a hitch, Charlton appeared TWICE.
      And next up we’ve got the quarter-final draw this week in another interesting setting.
      Carabao Cup ties have been drawn from some bizarre places
      When is the Carabao Cup draw taking place?
      The Carabao Cup quarter-final draw will be taking place LIVE on Soccer AM on Saturday, October 30.
      Hosts Jimmy Bullard and John Fendley will be conducting the draw.
      Soccer AM is live between 10.30am-12pm.
      The quarter-final ties will be played during the week of December 20.
      What TV channel and live stream is it on?
      Soccer AM will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.

      Arsenal fans go wild as Ben White ‘destroys’ Kalvin Phillips with silky nutmeg in Carabao Cup win over Leeds

      ARSENAL fans were left in awe of defender Ben White after he embarrassed Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips during their Carabao Cup clash on Tuesday night.The Gunners ran out 2-0 victors at the Emirates Stadium thanks to goals from Calum Chambers and Eddie Nketiah.

      But it was a superb piece of individual class from White which caught the eye of Arsenal supporters during the routine victory.
      Stepping out of his defensive line to mop up the danger, the ex-Brighton centre-back deftly moved the ball from left to right before nutmegging the onrushing Phillips.
      Reacting to the silky skill, one social media user said: “White is such a baller.”
      Another commented: “That was so disgusting but he treated like it was so subtle.”
      And a third person reflected on his entire performance, saying: “He did some outrageous things last night.”
      White, 24, left Brighton to sign for Arsenal in the summer for a huge £50million fee.

      And, after a shaky start to his Gunners career, the England international has begun to flourish under Mikel Arteta.
      White was substituted in the 55th minute of the win over Leeds, but Arteta insists it was merely due to illness and that he should be fit to face Leicester on Saturday.
      He said: “There is a bug going on. We lost Pablo [Mari] today as well as he wasn’t feeling great.

      “Ben had it as well for the last day or two. He wasn’t feeling great, so we decided to take him off.”

      No wins in the Premier League this season and now out of the League Cup, it’s fair to say Burnley fans are feeling hurt and frustrated right now.
      Despite some decent cameos from the likes of McNeil, Gudmundsson and Cornet, the Clarets offered very little as a creative, attacking force.
      Speaking afterwards, manager Sean Dyche shared the fans’ disappointment but maintained that he feels his players are on the right track.

      The Burnley forward is furious, but you feel it’s as much frustration with himself because it may have killed his side’s momentum.

      Origi’s 11th goal in 15 League Cup appearances came in the 84th minute at Deepdale after Takumi Minamino had finally given the visitors the lead on the hour against their Championship opposition.
      The Japanese striker likes a swig of Carabao Cup action too. He got a couple against Lincoln last season, another two in the last round against Norwich and was on target again here.
      So even without Roberto Firmino, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane the Liverpool goalscoring machine goes on.
      That’s 43 now in 14 matches in all competitions, with 32 of them coming in their nine away games.
      Liverpool fans filled the away end still giddy from their trip to Old Trafford had still more to celebrate.
      There were 5,611 of them here fittingly filling one end of the ground.
      They did not take long to start chanting ‘Ole’s at the wheel’ which they had mocked the Manchester United boss with on Sunday.
      Manager Jurgen Klopp changed his full eleven from that team, but having played a second string at Norwich in the previous round and still won they were expecting big things again.

      Preston changed nine, mind you their fans would have been happy to see all 11 go after their woeful performance in losing their big one away to Blackpool at the weekend.

      Ali McCann on the right found Maguire and his point blank shot was saved.
      Ryan Ledson followed up and beat the ‘keeper but Neco Williams somehow blocked it on the line.
      The ball broke free to Potts but he blazed it over the bar.
      You sensed they would pay for it and they did.
      Just past the hour good work by Neco Williams saw him pull the ball back for Minamino to turn the ball home from the edge of the six yard box.
      His movement was brilliant as he snuck across the front of his closest marker and stuck out a boot.
      Williams pushed forward from his full back position to cause chaos again for the second.
      Kostas Tsimikas floated over a cross that hit the bar.
      Williams picked it up shuffled one way then the other got off a shot which was blocked and flipped behind Origi.
      What a moment of skill it was as he flicked a boot back and hooked a shot back over his head and in.

      Arsenal fans baffled after Bernd Leno bizarrely wears outfield away strip against Leeds despite no kit clash

      ARSENAL fans were left baffled after Bernd Leno wore an outfield players’ strip for the Gunners’ Carabao Cup win over Leeds.The German was man-of-the-match at the Emirates on Tuesday night but fans couldn’t help notice the bizarre change when there was no potential kit clash.

      It’s not the first time the Gunners’ No 2 has done it.
      In fact the 29-year-old has worn the yellow strip on two occasions in the past.
      The first time was a fixture against Wolves last season which was to ensure he didn’t clash with Rui Patricio’s strip – per Premier League rules.
      And he also did it again as Arsenal lost to London rivals Chelsea at the Emirates earlier this season.
      However, his choice to do so against Leeds in the 2-0 win left fans confused as Arsenal’s home goalkeeper kit is green and Leno’s opposite number Illan Meslier was in Orange.
      Leeds’ outfield players also had dark blue kits on so there was no chance of a clash anywhere.

      As soon as it became clear the German was going to rock the yellow, Gooners took to social media to react.
      Smess wrote: “Why does Leno always play in our away kit?”
      Will added: “Leno wearing the away kit is a nonsense.”
      And Cristian chipped in with: “Omg I’m sick of seeing Leno in our away kit man. Adidas really couldn’t provide us with enough GK kit colors?”
      SunSport’s reporter at the Emirates on Tuesday gave Leno a 9/10 as he proved competition is still high between the sticks.

      Chelsea are in the last eight of the League Cup for the first time since reaching the final in 2019.

      Arsenal verdict: Nketiah gets revenge on Bielsa for snubs during Leeds loan but striker will never be a Gunners regular

      EDDIE NKETIAH will have enjoyed wrapping up Arsenal’s win against Leeds in the Carabao Cup having struggled for game time when on loan at Elland Road.But you can’t escape the feeling that he is never going to be good enough to be a Gunners regular.

      The forward performed perfectly well in the 2-0 win at the Emirates and capitalised on Liam Cooper’s awful back header to secure the Gunners’ passage to the last eight.
      He picked it up on the edge of Leeds’ box, scooped it over Illan Meslier – and nearly missed from two yards – but fortunately his scuffed finish trickled over the line on 69 minutes.
      For the remainder of the game the 22-year-old striker was full of energy and running if a little lacking in end product.
      Alexandre Lacazette looks set to leave at the end of the season when his contract is up and Nketiah’s expires at the same time.
      Opinion is split among Gooners as to whether it’s the right time for Lacazette to leave but one thing is for sure – Nketiah is nowhere near as good as the Frenchman.
      And it’s not unreasonable to suggest he never will be.

      Arsenal will be loathe to shed all their forwards at the same time, but if Nketiah wants to be more than a squad rotation player surely a move is the best thing for his career.
      He may even leave sooner with reports suggesting Aston Villa, Brentford and, ironically, Leeds are eyeing January moves.
      Whatever the club and the boyhood Gunners fan decide to do, Nketiah will surely be secretly thrilled to have put Leeds – and particularly Bielsa – to the sword as one of his final acts in red.
      He moved to Elland Road on loan in August 2019 and was back at the Emirates just five months later.
      Nketiah played 19 times in all competitions for the Whites but played a full 90 minutes only once.
      In fact in all 17 of his Championship appearances, Bielsa only gave him more than 45 minutes on one occasion.
      He still managed five goals and one assist for Leeds but it was certainly a strange situation.
      Bielsa went on a bizarre rant about Nketiah after he had been recalled by Arsenal and seemed to suggest the youngster always knew his opportunities would be limited.
      If anything, the Argentine seemed to call for praise for benching Patrick Bamford when he did to allow the Gunners starlet some minutes.
      ‘THE TRANSFER OF EDDIE WAS A LIE’
      Bielsa said after the loan: “Nketiah arrived here because Leeds was the ideal place to grow, because it was me who was going to coach him.
      “I know who I am and I don’t believe those messages.
      “Everything around the transfer of Eddie was a lie, Nketiah came to play. In any way, he didn’t play and he left.
      “But even worse, because I, in two situations, I put Bamford on the bench and in two months he was with us, he wasn’t able to play.
      “One player in six months plays two matches, thinks he will arrive to one club and play is underestimating what Leeds is as a club, a team and an institution.
      “I think that Nketiah is going to be one of the best English players.
      “He was a starter twice, moving one player like Bamford, a great player and a day later he decides to leave the club.”
      A period of time to forget for Eddie.
      He spoke fondly of his time at Leeds in the programme on Tuesday but also revealed he keeps in regular contact with Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson.

      Both are promising youngsters who left the Emirates in order to further their careers – a move you think would also be prudent for Nketiah.
      And you sense that might be in his mind after he said: “When I was with England’s Under-21s, I’d talk to other players about where they play, what the environment is like because it’s good to get a feel for what it’s like at different clubs and in different countries.
      “You never know what will happen in football so it’s good to learn about other places and have an open mind. It’s good to have those experiences in life.”
