    Mason Greenwood snapped grabbing a Burger King with his dad despite new coach banning junk food

    MANCHESTER United loanee Mason Greenwood could be in for a grilling — as he is clocked grabbing a Burger King with his father.His new coach at Spanish club Getafe, José Bordalás, forbids players from eating junk food.

    But Greenwood, 22, and dad Andrew stopped off to collect two Burger King meals after training yesterday in Madrid.
    Bordalás says the players are weighed every day and get a fine if they are too hefty.
    Greenwood was loaned this summer after charges including attempted rape were dropped.
    He has been subjected to “die” chants by rival fans in Spain.

    Greenwood has scored one goal and provided one assist on loan at Getafe so far.
    His previous goal came in January 2022 for Manchester United, before his arrest.
    Greenwood started for Getafe in their 1-1 draw with Real Betis and played 78 minutes.
    A source has told SunSport he is happy and hoping to stay at Madrid-based Getafe for the foreseeable future, saying: “The players and fans have all given him a welcome he could only have dreamed of.

    Newcastle fans bizarrely hijack Burger King poll… and fans are literally all saying the same thing

    NICK POPE is Twitter’s No 1 after Newcastle fans invaded a Burger King poll. The fast food chain asked their 107,000 followers whether they preferred tomatoes or gherkins.

    And Magpies supporters, led by popular account ‘Toon Polls’, piled into the comments with the same bizarre reply: Nick Pope. 
    Burger King then tweeted the England goalkeeper’s name and it soon snowballed.
    And that led to Pope overtaking Joan of Arc as the UK’s top trend. 
    Walkers, Deliveroo, Domino’s, Specsavers, Quality Street and Dreams all followed suit.

    Newcastle travel to Brighton tomorrow, with the 30-year-old to start his second game for the Mags since joining from Burnley. 
    And McDonald’s tweeted: “Okay…if Nick Pope keeps a clean sheet tomorrow, we’ll send Toon Polls a maccies breakfast next week, deal?” 

    The Toon Polls admin said: “So a few week back, I juiced a poll to get Pope to beat (Erling) Haaland as best signing 
    “So now just getting people to reply to a random poll saying he’s better than a tomato and a gherkin.”

    Newcastle supporters loved it too, with one tweeting: “So @ToonPolls has hijacked a straightforward Burger King tweet with the words ‘Nick Pope’ and now it’s trending number one on Twitter and being tweeted by McDonald’s, Specsavers and loads more.
    “Football twitter is incredible sometimes.”
    Another said: “I can’t believe what I’m seeing. The Twitter-verse has gone Nick Pope mad!”
    While a fellow fan tweeted: “A Newcastle twitter account got Newcastle fans to tweet Nick pope on a Burger King post. NUFC twitter is unmatched >”
