      Arsenal prepare £40m Edmond Tapsoba transfer bid as Mikel Arteta continues summer spending plans on defender

      ARSENAL are reportedly weighing up a £42.5million move to bring Bayer Leverkusen defender Edmond Tapsoba to the Emirates.Mikel Arteta is known to be in the market for another centre-back to compete with Ben White, Gabriel Magaelhaes and William Saliba.

      According to Football Transfers, Arsenal have identified Leverkusen’s Burkina Faso star Tapsoba as a potential option.
      The Premier League side were interested in the player last summer, but they opted to sign White instead.
      It has been said that Leverkusen value Tapsoba, who is tied down in Germany until 2026, at between £34m-£42.5m.

      CHELSEA have been dealt a major blow with Juventus ace Matthijs de Ligt edging closer to a Bayern Munich switch.Bayern director Hasan Salihamidzic will be in Turin on Monday to negotiate a fee after agreeing personal terms with the Dutch centre-back, 22.
