Dortmund to snap-up another English star in Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, 16, from Man City who is set to be ‘next Jadon Sancho’

DORTMUND are reportedly set to snap up another young English star in Manchester City’s Jamie Bynoe-Gittens – who has been billed as the next Jadon Sancho.
Reports say the deal is just days away from being completed after the Bundesliga club became interested in the 16-year-old last month.

    2

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, 16, is being tipped as England’s next big thing

Bynoe-Gittens is seen as one of the best prospects in English academy football and is set to follow in the footsteps of Sancho by going to Germany.
The Mail Online report that the wonderkid is likely to complete his move by the start of next week.
The England Under-17 international was picked up by Man City’s highly-respected national youth lead scout Sam Fagbemi.
After he was identified, the club and head of academy recruitment moved quickly to sign Bynoe-Gittens.

If the player was to move, it would be reminiscent of Jadon Sancho’s transfer to Dortmund in 2017.
The attacker has improved dramatically in his years in Germany and is now tipped for a huge money move to City’s rivals, Manchester United, three years later.

    2

Sancho has become a global footballing superstar since leaving Manchester City
A potential Bynoe-Gitten’s transfer would come fast on the heels of the move for Birmingham’s wonderkid Jude Bellingham in July.
The 17-year-old was signed for £25million after a brilliant season at St Andrews in the Championship.

But Birmingham caused confusion when they retired the midfielder’s shirt even though he played just 44 games for the club.

Thiago Alcantara seals Liverpool transfer in £25m deal from Bayern Munich in huge coup for Jurgen Klopp

LIVERPOOL have confirmed the signing of midfielder Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich.
The Spaniard, 29, has signed a four-year deal.

    2

Liverpool have confirmed the signing of midfielder Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich

Liverpool are believed to have paid a transfer fee of £25million including potential bonuses.
The Premier League champions saw off competition from Manchester United to seal the deal for in-demand Champions League winner.
Thiago said: “I think it’s an amazing feeling. I was waiting for this moment for a long time and I am very, very happy to be here.
“When the years are passing, you are trying to win as much as you can – and when you win, you want to win more.

“I think this club describes what I am as well; I want to achieve all of the goals, win as many trophies as possible.
“It also [has] this kind of family [feeling] that I need because we [like to] have a very close relationship with the club and I think I will feel this, I will have this feeling, with this club as well.”
Thiago arrives in England having helped Bayern dethrone Liverpool as kings of Europe by beating PSG in the Champions League final last month.

He spent seven seasons in Germany, having signed from Barcelona in 2013.
The midfielder won the Bundesliga title in every season with Bayern, finishing with 235 appearances for the club.
Thiago – who has  39 caps for Spain – had just a year left on his current deal in Munich before embarking on a new challenge.
He added: “I must adapt to the team as fast as I can in the situation and the context that we are living right now.
“Everything is more compact and we started a little bit later, but still it is football and I think we have to mix all the big things up, all the good things we have.
“I will help the team in a defensive and offensive [way] and also in a mental aspect.

    2

“[The fans] are not more excited than I am, for sure not! It is not about saying words, it is about doing the things.
“I will give my heart on the field to my teammates, the club and also to the fans.”
There has been speculation that current midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum could be on his way out of Anfield, with the Netherlands international entering the final year of his contract.
He’s been linked with a move to Barcelona.

And he took to social media to bid a fond farewell to Bavaria, where he has spent seven years.
The video collage showed some of his finest moments in a Bayern shirt with the 29-year-old delivering a touching monologue behind the footage.
He said: “I have made the most difficult decision of my sports career.

“I will close this chapter on this wonderful club where I have grown as a player for seven years. Triumphs, joy and also hard times.
“But what I am most proud of is that I arrived in Munich as a young man filled with dreams and now I will leave completely fulfilled with a club, a history and a culture.
“Here I learned to love a tradition that I am now saying goodbye to, but which I will never forget.
“I have experienced fantastic moments – in this city with my Bavarian family who treated me so well and loved me every second.

“My decision is purely of a sporting nature. As a soccer player I want new challenges to develop myself further.

The 29-year-old will link up with Jurgen Klopp in the coming days

“Bavaria will always be my home. Thank you FC Bayern.”
Thiago reportedly arrived in the UK this morning.
And his signing will allow Reds boss Jurgen Klopp to play up to three new formations.
It also emerged Thiago’s wife – hotel owner Julia Vigas – wanted her man to move back to Barcelona.
On Thursday, Bayern president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed the player’s desire to join the Premier League champions.
He told Bild: “I can confirm that FC Bayern has finally reached an agreement with Liverpool.
“It was Thiago’s great wish to do something new at the end of his career.”

Man Utd transfer target Jadon Sancho will be ‘very important’ to Dortmund this season, insists Erling Haaland

ERLING HAALAND claims Jadon Sancho will be an “important” player for Borussia Dortmund this season – despite being wanted by Manchester United.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been trying desperately to land Sancho after only making one signing this window in Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek.

But United missed Borussia Dortmund’s deadline of August 10.
And it’s believed the two parties can’t agree a transfer fee despite United apparently striking personal terms with Sancho himself.
Reports yesterday claimed Soskjaer spoke with Sancho, assuring him that a move to Old Trafford is ‘close’ despite the impasse in negotiations with Dortmund.
However, Haaland appears to have signalled that Sancho will be staying put by predicting a huge season for him in Germany.

Haaland told Viaplay Football: “I think Sancho has been very good throughout the whole pre-season.
“He will be an important player for us this season.
“[Links to Man Utd?] That is not something that I am involved in.
“Those in charge are responsible for that. I am not going to comment too much on that.

“But if he stays, I’ll be very happy because he is both a good friend of mine and a hell of a player.”
Haaland also gave a frosty response when asked about the reported £69million release clause in his deal, with the Norwegian a previous target for United.
He added: “Now I will give you an answer you don’t often get from me. And that is: no comment.”

David Alaba’s dad hits back at ex-Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness for ‘spreading dirty lies’ amid contract row

DAVID ALABA’S dad has hit back at Uli Hoeness after Bayern Munich’s ex-president claimed the left-back’s agent was a “greedy piranha” amid tense contract negotiations.
Austria international Alaba, 28, is in the final year of his Bayern deal.

And it’s reckoned clubs across Europe, including Manchester City, are ready to pounce before October’s transfer deadline.
Bayern are locked in talks to prevent Alaba from leaving on a free at the end of the season.
But it’s reckoned the versatile defender wants to become Bayern’s best-paid player on £23million a year.
Speculation about the talks saw Hoeness brand Alaba’s agent, Pini Zahavi, a “greedy piranha.”

Hoeness ranted: “Alaba has a greedy piranha for an agent.
“His father, whom I liked a lot, he’s letting himself be influenced by him very much. It’s purely about money.
“If you only knew what Mr Zahavi demands only for himself for David’s signature for an eight-figure sum.
“That’s not at all possible. I can understand that (director of football) Hasan Salihamidzic totally flipped out at a meeting. The arguments that are exchanged there defy belief.”

But George Alaba has fired back at Hoeness, claiming the ex-Bayern supremo is “spreading dirty lies.”
He told Sky Sports: “I brought David to Bayern as a teen. Over the years I’ve had several opportunities to transfer him to another club.
“But we were loyal and always chose to stay. I didn’t expect to see Bayern spreading dirty lies in public about salary and commission claims.
“Claiming we can’t come to an agreement over a new contract due to such payments is one of those filthy allegations.
“All because we didn’t accept the figures they have presented to us. We have our own ideas.”
Alaba’s agent Zahavi added: “At no point did I talk in detail about a possible commission payment with the people in charge at Bayern.
“The only time this topic came up was when we met in Lisbon. Salihamidzic asked me how I would imagine that.
“I told him we should work on an agreement with the player first, but I wouldn’t ask for more than usual.
“I don’t want to get more than other agents who have received commission payments from Bayer. Again, we’ve not talked numbers yet.”

Robert Lewandowski vows to push Leroy Sane to next level and ‘sees massive potential’ in new Bayern Munich star

ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI has vowed to help Leroy Sane unlock his true potential at Bayern Munich.

Despite missing last season through injury, Sane is still regarded as one of the world’s best forwards and will give Champions League winners Bayern even more strength up front.
In the three seasons he was fit, Sane scored 39 goals for City while winning two Premier League titles and one FA Cup.
He was also named PFA Young Player of the Year in the victorious 17/18 campaign.
But new teammate Lewandowski, 32, reckons Sane can get even better in his new surroundings at the Allianz Arena.

Lewandowski, who scored a mind-blowing 55 goals in all competitions last season and was a shoe-in for the Ballon d’Or before it was axed, said: “I want to push Sane hard in every single training to make him realise what he doesn’t know he has.
“I want him to work harder to show something special because he’s an amazing guy and I think with him we can pay another tactical system very well.
“That’s why I see his massive potential and in my experience you have to push these players to make them play better and better.
“I know he has a huge talent and if you work hard and train at 100 per cent then you will become a better player.”

Leeds threatened with legal action by RB Leipzig over Augustin ‘after refusing obligation to sign striker for £17.7m’

LEEDS have been threatened with legal action by RB Leipzig for their failure to sign striker Jean-Kevin Augustin.
The Bundesliga side claim the Whites were legally obliged to buy the forward for £17.7million after their promotion to the Premier League.

    2

Leeds have been threatened with legal action by RB Leipzig for failing to sign Jean-Kevin Augustin

But Leeds think the deal is null and void because of the coronavirus delay to the season.
Augustin arrived at Elland Road in Janaury on a short-term loan deal which inlcuded an obligation to buy clause if Leeds were promoted.
Leipzig say it is “clear” the Yorkshire side should cough up after going up from the Championship as champions, but Leeds are refusing to budge.

Their use of Covid-19 as an excuse has riled Leipzig’s commercial director Florian Scholz, who lashed out at Leeds in an interview with Sport Buzzer.
He said: “The legal situation is clear.
“Leeds is currently in the process of spending a lot of money in the transfer market.
“But does not stand by its contractual obligations. We are ready to take further steps.”

Augustin, 23, only played three times for Bielsa and still has two years left to run on his Leipzig deal.

And despite recovering from a hamstring injury over lockdown, Leeds decided against extending his loan to enable him to play after the restart.
Speaking earlier in the summer, Bielsa said: “When he finished [his loan spell], we evaluated if it was convenient that he stayed with us or went back to his original team.
“We thought that the most convenient thing was to take the decision we did.”
