‘Desperate’ Man Utd slammed over Jadon Sancho transfer by Gary Neville after stalling over £109m deal

“DESPERATE” Manchester United should have acted quicker to land £109million star Jadon Sancho, according to Gary Neville.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with the England ace for months.

Gary Neville thinks Man Utd could have acted quicker to land Jadon Sancho

    2

The Red Devils icon said his old club can come off as ‘desperate’ in negotiations and should now switch their focus
But the deal stalled after Dortmund’s August 10 deadline to complete the move passed.
The Bundesliga side wanted the transfer wrapped up quickly to avoid disruption to their pre-season preparations and Neville thinks United could have done more to bag the 20-year-old.
He told the Mail: “Like everyone else they had three months off because of coronavirus, so I don’t think it should be the case they didn’t have the resource or time to get things done.
“Chelsea got their business done, [Manchester] City have got three or four pieces done. I don’t think timing’s the issue.

“It’s just a thing with United that every time they go for a player in the last four, five, six years it feels they are a little bit desperate.
“They think they can hang on but they always pay it [the asking price] in the end.
“That’s sometimes where I think you can take control, give a hard deadline and say ‘we’re moving away from this deal’.”
After the deadline passed, Dortmund director Michael Zorc told United to forget about a deal this summer.

And Neville thinks his old club should now focus on another star.
He added: “The fact that it’s dragged on. Just say to Dortmund ‘leave him there’ and go get another player.
“There are plenty of players around, there can’t be just one player you’re chasing.
“It is frustrating but I do think United have been better in these last couple of seasons, more careful and not making mistakes either.

“If you can’t get a deal done [for Sancho] you have to move on. You certainly have to give hard deadlines on players.”
Neville’s fellow Sky pundit Jamie Carragher recently claimed United could lose out on the Sancho signing to their bitter rivals Liverpool.
And Sancho himself also revealed he has a sleep problem and said he needs to be more professional.

Real Madrid plot astonishing £261MILLION transfer splurge on Mbappe, Haaland and Camavinga next summer

REAL MADRID are reportedly desperate to bring Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland and Eduardo Camavingo to the Bernabeu next summer.
Los Blancos aren’t in a position to spend big this window due to the coronavirus crisis, but they plan to go all out in 2021.

The three players they are looking to sign are Mbappe, Haaland and Camavinga, who are worth a combined £261milion according to Transfermarkt.

ABC report how the trio are firmly on the radar of Zinedine Zidane, with the Frenchman keen on a huge squad overhaul.
Rennes midfielder Camavinga is understood to have been identified as the perfect long-term successor to Casemiro.
It has been said that if the club wasn’t affected by Covid-19, the 17-year-old would already be a Los Blancos player.

Real are also desperate to bolster their attack, with Mbappe to potentially cost less next summer with his Paris Saint-Germain contract to expire in 2022.
And Madrid want Haaland to spearhead their front-line with Mbappe and Hazard to play either side of him.
Borussia Dortmund are desperate to keep hold of the Norwegian international, but the Budesliga side are aware of Real’s interest in the forward.

Real know they still have to get plenty of players off their books in order to raise funds, with James Rodriguez the first person to leave as Everton close in on a deal.

And they are hoping Manchester United sign left-back Sergio Reguilon for £27m having offered the player to the Red Devils.
Zidane remains desperate to offload Bale, but the former Tottenham ace’s £15.1million-a-year wages have put off potential suitors.

Davies has won two Bundesliga and German Cup doubles since joining Bayern from Vancouver Whitecaps in 2018.
He has dated Canada and PSG women’s team striker Jordyn Huitema for the past three years.
The couple, both 19, present their own YouTube channel – “Jordyn & Alphonso.”

And in the latest episode they answer questions from subscribers, including one who asks which habits annoy each partner the most.

Jordyn moans: “This boy always puts the toilet seat up, and never puts it down – ever.
“He always pees over the floor.”
And Ghana-born Davies quips back: “I live by myself. Guys, understand my struggle.
“It’s just a little drop. The first drop doesn’t go directly in the toilet.

“It goes somewhere else, left or right, up or down. Girls don’t understand this.”
German media outlets have been quick to see the funny side of the toilet banter, with plenty picking up on the footage.
Mass-circulation Express headlined their story: “He pees on the floor! Bayern WAG tells all about her partner’s faults.”

Man Utd transfer pursuit of Sancho in desperate need of ‘drastic breakthrough’ as crunch talks fail to pick up pace

MANCHESTER UNITED reportedly must make a ‘drastic breakthrough’ in negotiations if they wish to prise Jadon Sancho away from Borussia Dortmund.
With just a month left to go in the transfer window, the Red Devils are in danger of failing to land their No1 summer target.

BVB are seeking a fee in the region of £108million for the England international.
But United are looking to ‘sort out the salary and fees of intermediaries’ before making an official offer.
Dortmund are in no rush to sell Sancho – who has three years left to run on his contract in Germany – with the club confident he will stay.
And according to the Daily Mail, United are in a race against time to sign Sancho having made little progress in their quest to sign him.

They claim that there has hardly been any progress in talks surrounding the agents fee, as well as what Sancho’s salary would be at Old Trafford.
    DOR CLOSING
And the news outlet also states that the club appear unlikely to sign RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano this summer.
Meanwhile the club are yet to make a bid for Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilon, despite Spanish media reporting they offered Los Blancos £27m.
United have made just one signing this window, with Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek joining from Ajax for £39m on Wednesday.

But Sancho is the player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been desperate to bring to the club.
The 20-year-old has opened up on speculation regarding his future, where he stated he isn’t paying attention to rumours.

Asked whether he wishes the rumours would go away, he said: “No, the media’s the media.
“They’re always going to try and create a story, but this is how you manage it.
“For me, I just focus on my football. I just want to do what’s best for my team and win titles at the end of the day.”

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich was the one who pushed for Kai Havertz transfer and not boss Frank Lampard

CHELSEA owner Roman Abramovich reportedly took control in the transfer deal to bring Kai Havertz to Stamford Bridge.
The 21-year-old joined from Bayer Leverkusen on a five-year deal on Friday in a move believed to be worth in the region of £70million.

And according to the Express, Abramovich took the wheel instead of boss Frank Lampard in conducting business as he pushed to sign Havertz.
They claim that the Russian billionaire and the Blues board were desperate to secure the signing of the German playmaker this summer.
With other potential suitors such as Real Madrid not having the funds to sign Havertz this window due to the coronavirus pandemic, Chelsea wanted to land the player now.
And fans of the West London club will be hoping Havertz doesn’t flatter to deceive like Andriy Shevchenko.

The Express add that the former Ukrainian striker was the last big-money signing that Abramovich pushed for regardless of how the manager felt.
After banging in 172 goals in 296 games for AC Milan, Shevchenko scored just 23 goals in 77 matches for the Blues.
And Abramovich will be delighted that they managed to sign Havertz for £20m less than Leverkusen’s asking price.

Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia – dubbed ‘the most powerful woman in football’ – has been influential in transfer negotiations.

One of Abramovich’s most-trusted allies, the 45-year-old managed to recoup £175million for David Luiz, Oscar and Alvaro Morata.
And Chelsea will also end up banking £143m from selling Eden Hazard to Los Blancos – £13m more than what was originally expected.

Man Utd transfer target Jadon Sancho reveals ‘sleep problem’ and admits he needs to be more professional

JADON SANCHO says he needs to be more professional after revealing his “sleep problem” sometimes makes him late for training.
The 20-year-old was fined £86,000 by Borussia Dortmund in October for arriving to the club late after returning from England duty.

And he was also benched for the Barcelona clash in November after he missed a team meeting due to being asleep.
Sancho even incurred the wrath of the Bundesliga in June when he was slapped with an £8,900 fine after breaking lockdown rules to get a haircut.
The incident led Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc to admit the club are losing patience with the ex-Manchester City youth star.
And Sancho has stated he is aware he needs to work on his professionalism in an interview with SoccerBible.

He said: “In Germany there’s a few things that I still need to work on.
    SAN STORM
“Sometimes I’m late to training and it’s things like this that I need to work on, because I have a sleep problem.
“Little things like that, where I need to be a little more professional and put things right.
“But I’m working on it and the club’s helping me and the team is helping me. Slowly but surely, as I get older, I feel like I’m learning new things.

“People do say that I’m very mature for my age. I guess leaving home and learning things for myself has helped with that.”
Sancho even commented on speculation regarding his future as Manchester United line up making an offer for the exciting forward.

Asked whether he wishes the rumours would go away, he said: “No, the media’s the media.

David Moyes pulled plug on Man Utd’s transfer for Thiago as he didn’t know enough about him… then signed Fellaini

MANCHESTER UNITED were close to signing Bayern Munich star Thiago in 2013 but David Moyes vetoed it, according to reports.
Instead the Scot signed Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini on deadline day.

The Scot instead signed Marouane Fellaini from Everton
Thiago ended up signing for Bayern where he has since won seven Bundesliga titles and a Champions League.
Whereas Fellaini only managed an FA Cup, a League Cup and a Europa League title with United.
Sir Alex Ferguson had set up a £17million deal to sign Thiago, 29, from Barcelona before his retirement, according to ESPN.
But once he had left Old Trafford the decision fell to his replacement – and now West Ham manager – Moyes.

Thiago was said to be keen on a Nou Camp exit in order to play first-team football.
But Moyes reportedly shut the move down because he did not know enough about the Spanish international.
The Scot had been told by United chiefs they were planning a mega move that summer – with Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo being mentioned.
And as a result he held off on giving the Thiago deal the green light.

United reportedly attempted to sign Thiago’s Barca team-mate Cesc Fabregas instead but that move also fell through.
So having missed out on several targets, Moyes was forced to raid his old club and sign Fellaini on the last day of the summer transfer window.
Thiago could be making a belated move to the Premier League this summer with United interested again.
But the Spaniard is said to be leaning more towards Liverpool.
