Chelsea have ‘NO chance of Erling Haaland transfer with Dortmund star only wanting move to six clubs including Man Utd’

CHELSEA have ‘no chance’ of signing Erling Haaland from Dortmund this summer – it’s been claimed.
The Norwegian striker, 20, is one of the hottest young properties in European football with transfer interest across the continent.

The front page of Sport Bild say Chelsea have ‘no chance’ to sign him

And respected German outlet Sport Bild say that Chelsea have ‘no chance’ to sign the £150m striker, and neither do Bayern Munich.
The report in Germany also says that Haaland has narrowed his choices down to six clubs.
Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City would be the only Premier League sides Haaland might join.
And the 20-year-old is also interested in joining Juventus or either Spanish giants Real Madrid or Barcelona.

The report adds that Haaland wants to join a ‘top club’ and not take another intermediate step.
He joined Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg last January and has scored 43 goals in 45 games for the Bundesliga side.
Man Utd were close to signing Haaland last January, but boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer thinks it will be hard to splash huge sums amid the pandemic.

Solskjaer said: “There’s going to be less transfers happening in the world of football with all these changes.
“The pandemic is definitely affecting everyone in football, the lack of finances, it’s affected everyone.
“All clubs in the world are going through the same situation so it’s no different for other clubs than for us.”

Jadon Sancho injury fears as England ace grimaces in pain with ice pack on leg after scoring Dortmund winner in cup

JADON SANCHO fired Borussia Dortmund into the German Cup semis – but then limped off injured.
The England star scored the only goal in the 1-0 victory over Monchengladbach before being taken off just two minutes later.

Sancho slotted home in the 66th minute, and was replaced by Thorgan Hazard moments later.
He was seen watching the final stages of the German Cup clash from the bench with an ice pack on his leg.
Interim manager Edin Terzic said: “Raphael Guerreiro and Jadon Sancho both carried knocks into the match.
“Both felt their muscles, and we didn’t want to take any risks.

“We’ll have to see how it goes in the next few days.”
The injury will spark fears for England boss Gareth Southgate, with three crucial World Cup qualifiers on the horizon.
The Three Lions face San Marino, Albania and Poland in a triple header at the end of this month.
Sancho has become a regular in the side in recent times.

    MONSTER MONCH
Monchengladbach chief Marco Rose last month agreed to swap his current setting to become the new boss of Dortmund and take over from Terzic this summer.
But things have gone sour for him at Gladbach ever since, with the Bundesliga side now winless in their last five league games.
And their season continued to unravel last night.

Following a good early chance squandered by Marco Reus, Erling Haaland broke clear in the 36th minute and should have scored with only the keeper to beat.
The score remained level, however, as the Norwegian fired wide.
The hosts did manage to put the ball in the net on the stoke of halftime – but Marcus Thuram’s effort was ruled out for offside after a VAR review.
Haaland also thought he had scored early in the second half, only for VAR to intervene once again.

There was nothing wrong with Sancho’s goal, however, as he finished off a counter-attack that started from a Gladbach corner, with his shot going in off the post in the 66th minute.
Home keeper Tobias Sippel then denied Haaland in the 83rd minute, before Dortmund were reduced to ten men late on after Mahmoud Dahoud received a second booking in stoppage time.
Dortmund have bounced back after a recent bad run, winning their last four games in all competitions, including a 3-2 victory over Sevilla in their Champions League round of 16 first leg.

Five world class strikers Man Utd could try to sign including Kane and Haaland after Carragher’s transfer warning

MANCHESTER UNITED lack ‘quality’ upfront and ‘need a centre-forward more than anything’, according to Jamie Carragher.
And SunSport have detailed five big name strikers the Red Devils could sign at the end of the season.

The Red Devils failed to score against a fellow member of the ‘Big Six’ for a sixth time in a row against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
And while accusations of ‘boring, boring Man Utd’ have been levelled at boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his team, pundit Carragher doesn’t think the Norwegian is to blame.
He said on Sky Sports MNF: “In that final third they just didn’t have that quality.
“When the ball actually goes up to the front players – is there enough quality?

“You’ve said they’re the top scorers in the Premier League.
“But have they got that player to score in the decisive games, that player that’s going to take them to the league title?
“And when I look at that, people talk about Manchester United, they need a right winger, they went for (Jadon) Sancho, they need a centre-forward more than anything.”
And here SunSport has listed five front men the Red Devils could sign after Carragher’s stark warning.

    HARRY KANE
SunSport previously reported that Tottenham are unlikely to want to sell Kane and haven’t even set an asking price.
And with his Spurs contract running until 2024, United would have to pay a hefty fee to prise the star man away from North London.
But after Tottenham’s early promise this season it looks set to be another disappointing campaign with the club eighth in the table – albeit they are in the League Cup final.
Kane, 27, is in the peak years of his career and may just decide it’s time to go somewhere he has a legitimate chance of winning the Premier League.

    ERLING HAALAND
Solskjaer is set to be handed a summer war chest – and Haaland is said to be top of his wishlist.
United were in the hunt for Haaland, the most wanted striker in Europe, before he joined Borussia Dortmund last January.
A £65million release clause only kicks in next year, meaning anyone wanting to sign the 20-year-old before then will have to pay an inflated premium of at least £100m.
The striker has been in sensational form this season, scoring 17 Bundesliga goals in 18 games.

    KYLIAN MBAPPE
United legend Rio Ferdinand has begged his former employers to ‘move heaven and earth’ to sign Haaland or Mbappe.
The 42-year-old has urged Solskjaer to sign one of the two strikers as he stated the club cannot allow their Premier League rivals to nab them.
Speaking on his FIVE YouTube channel, he said: “Cavani, yes, he’s a good stop-gap but (we need) a centre-forward.
“If people like Erling Haaland or Kylian Mbappe are available, you can’t allow them to go somewhere else and you need to move heaven and earth to get them here.
“United are used to having superstars and those boys would change the narrative at this football club, that’s how good they are.
“There’s room for improvement and opportunity to improve this squad, there’s players out there available, it seems. We need to be in the mix.”

    RAUL JIMENEZ
United have been linked with Wolves’ Mexican striker for months and even made an approach last year.
He is back in training after his horror skull fracture picked up earlier this season.
The Red Devils were told to fork out £60m for him last summer but that fee could have gone down now.

    ANDRE SILVA
SunSport exclusively revealed last Tuesday that United will be offered Eintracht Frankfurt striker Silva for £30m, but only if Edinson Cavani leaves.
Silva’s agent Jorge Mendes is hoping to orchestrate the move with Frankfurt needing to raise funds to buy back Real Madrid forward Luka Jovic.
Portuguese international Silva has been on fire in the Bundesliga this season with 19 goals in 21 appearances – second only to Bayern’s Robert Lewandowski in the scoring charts.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League in the past after leaving Porto to join AC Milan in 2017 for £32m.
Since then, loan switches to Sevilla and then Frankfurt saw him sign for the latter in September, but England remains an attractive option.
The deal – which could be worth up to £30m in pandemic times – is with bringing Jovic back to the club in mind.

Ferdinand begs Man Utd to ‘move heaven and earth’ to sign Mbappe or Haaland as he gives Solskjaer his transfer wishlist

MANCHESTER UNITED legend Rio Ferdinand has begged his former employers to ‘move heaven and earth’ to sign either Erling Haaland or Kylian Mbappe.
The 42-year-old has urged Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to sign one of the two strikers as he stated the club cannot allow their Premier League rivals to nab them.

Borussia Dortmund marksman Haaland has been heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford, but United are understood to face competition from Chelsea and Manchester City.
Meanwhile Paris Saint-Germain star Mbappe is believed to be attracting interest from Liverpool and Real Madrid.
With Edinson Cavani set to become a free agent in the summer, Ferdinand has declared a striker must be brought in if United want to compete for the title.
Speaking on his FIVE YouTube channel, he said: “Cavani, yes, he’s a good stopgap but (we need) a centre-forward.

“If people like Erling Haaland or Kylian Mbappe are available, you can’t allow them to go somewhere else and you need to move heaven and earth to get them here.

“There’s room for improvement and opportunity to improve this squad, there’s players out there available, it seems. We need to be in the mix.”
Ferdinand then stressed a quick centre-back must be eyed up, as he added: “Manchester United were playing catch up from everybody last season.

“They finished 30 points behind Liverpool last season, now they’re above them.  That’s a big, big achievement in that sense.
“I see progress. I still see room for improvement, we definitely need to buy a centre-back, a commanding centre-back with pace.”
Real Madrid ace Raphael Varane is believed to be a key target for Solskjaer, along with his Los Blacos team-mate Sergio Ramos.
United are also reportedly keen on bringing Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic to the Theatre of Dreams, with the defender open to the move.
And the club are also said to be keeping tabs on Torino’s Nicolas Nkoulou, who is also on Leeds’ radar.

Omar Richards completes shock Bayern Munich transfer as Reading ace agrees four-year deal with Bundesliga giants

OMAR RICHARDS sealed a bombshell free transfer to Bayern Munich.
The Reading defender, 23, will swap Berkshire for Bavaria this summer, after agreeing to a shock four-year deal with the German champions.

The stunning transfer was hashed out between his entourage and Bayern on Monday afternoon, following three months of negotiations.
And he has already passed a medical in the UK, due to coronavirus travel restrictions.
The highly-rated Londoner turned heads at the Allianz after his scintillating form for Reading in both a defence and a wide-midfield role this term.
He has played a key part in Veljko Paunovic’s promotion push, with the Madejski boss desperate to keep him.

The Lewisham lad has gone on to make 92 appearances, including 77 starts, for Reading since his 2017 bow.
And the Championship outfit will be entitled to training compensation when his deal comes to an end in June.
Richards will face stiff competition for a starting spot in Hans-Dieter Flick’s starting XI.
He will start as back-up for Alphonso Davies on the left-side of the Bayern defence, after the Canadian made the position his own last season.

The 20-year-old played 43 times in Bayern’s Treble-winning season in the last campaign and was named in the Uefa, Fifa and Champions League Team of the Season.
Richards could be used as replacement for David Alaba, 28, who is set to leave for free this summer, with versatile Lucas Hernandez often played in the middle.
It will come as a blow to Everton who were said to be keeping tabs on the defender in a bid to provide Lucas Digne with competition.
The youngster’s one and only cap for England’s Under-21s came off the bench against Slovenia in October 2019.

Man Utd could land Griezmann for just £50m as cheaper Jadon Sancho transfer alternative with Barcelona ‘ready to sell’

MANCHESTER UNITED could try and land Antoine Griezmann in a £50million deal if Jadon Sancho is too expensive, according to reports.
The 20-year-old Dortmund star would set the Red Devils back over £100m this summer.

And Spanish reports claim that Griezmann could be available for half that fee.
OK Diario say that Barcelona are looking to recoup about £50m for the 30-year-old having signed him for £104million two years ago.
That price might tempt Manchester United into a summer swoop as they look for more quality up front.
The World Cup winner has scored just 15 LaLiga goals for Barcelona in two seasons and the Catalans are facing a financial crisis.

They’re also looking to rebuild a squad that look set to miss out on the Spanish title again and are 4-1 down to PSG in the Champions League last 16.
Dortmund, meanwhile, are reportedly open to selling Sancho this summer.
And having failed to lure the player to Old Trafford last campaign, the Red Devils are understood to have retained their interest in the England international.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also let it be known that he is keeping tabs on Sancho’s Dortmund team-mate Erling Haaland.

They state that they are willing to part ways with the former Manchester City youth star if they receive a fee in the region of £104m.

Marcus Rashford shows support to ex-Man Utd team-mate Timothy Fosu-Mensah after Bayer Leverkusen star ruptures ACL

FORMER Manchester United star Timothy Fosu-Mensah has suffered an injury nightmare just weeks after joining Bayer Leverkusen.
The 23-year-old defender quit Old Trafford for the German side during the January transfer window in order to get regular action.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah has torn his ACL and faces at least six months outCredit: AFP

Now his season is over and potentially the rest of 2021 after tearing his ACL.
Former United team-mate Marcus Rashford tweeted his support, posting: “Thinking about you @tfosumensah”.
Fosu-Mensah’s injury occurred yesterday during Leverkusen’s 2-1 home defeat by Freiburg.
The Dutchman was substituted at half time, with Voetbal Zone later claiming he had informed directly of the damage.

That was only his seventh appearance for the Bundesliga outfit.
Manager Peter Bosz said afterwards: “I hope it’s not true, but I’m afraid it’s something with the cruciate ligament again.”
It will be the second time in Fosu-Mensah’s fledgling career he has had to bounce back from an ACL.
During a loan spell at Fulham back in 2019 he sustained the same blow, although Bosz says his latest one is to ‘the other knee’.

Fosu-Mensah made his United debut five years ago under countryman Louis van Gaal in a victory over Arsenal.

But he has struggled to nail down a regular place in the side since, heading out to Crystal Palace as well as Fulham.
He battled back from that previous blow at the Cottagers to feature for United in last season’s FA Cup semi-final and in the Champions League.
But his contract at Old Trafford was due to expire in June and the Red Devils allowed him to depart earlier in order to sign for Leverkusen.
