Man Utd reach Jadon Sancho transfer agreement over £80m deal as terms are agreed with Borussia Dortmund winger

MANCHESTER UNITED have agreed personal terms with Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho. United have been tracking the England international for the past two seasons and failed in a summer move last year.

But they have now moved one step closer to finally signing their target having struck a deal with the player himself.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Sancho has agreed a contract until 2026.
Still, United are yet to agree a transfer fee but have started negotiations with Dortmund, who rate the forward at around £80m.
The two clubs were unable to come to terms last summer, as Dortmund demanded £108m.
At the time, United were unwilling to match the price tag and instead moved for Edison Cavani, 34, on a free transfer.
In the period since, the German giants dropped their valuation and opened the door to selling Sancho, due to financial strains amid the coronavirus pandemic.
And United made it clear they were still after their man, with the England international, 21, also pushing for a move to Old Trafford.
Sancho, a former City academy graduate, is currently on international duty ahead of the delayed European Championships.

Sancho was believed to have wanted a move to United last year with his performances being affected after the deal collapsed.
But he brilliantly re-found his form after the new year and ended the season with 16 goals and 20 assists in his 28 appearances.
He helped Dortmund lift the German Cup, scoring twice in the final, easily earning a call up to his first major international tournament.

Liverpool have already announced the arrival of Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig after triggering his £36million release clause.
Meanwhile Aston Villa have agreed a club-record deal to sign playmaker Emiliano Buendia from Norwich worth up to £38m.
Here SunSport takes a look at some of the biggest transfers that could take place before the August 31 deadline.
Harry Kane – Tottenham to Manchester City
The Spurs forward, 27, told the club in May he wishes to leave in the summer, with a move to the Citizens believed to be his priority.
SunSport have exclusively revealed that Daniel Levy will only sell the England international should he receive at least £150m.
And he is unwilling to accept City’s proposal of £60m plus Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus.
Pep Guardiola is desperate to bring in a new centre-forward after City released Sergio Aguero, though negotiations to sign Kane are yet to take place.

Jadon Sancho – Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United
Having failed to sign the 21-year-old last year, the Red Devils are determined to not miss out on the Londoner this time around.
Dortmund were seeking £108m for Sancho in 2020, but are prepared to let him leave for nearly £30m less.
And it has been claimed that United have opened fresh talks to sign the winger who is highly thought of by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
United have been given a boost in their quest to sign Sancho after BVB’s director Michael Zorc admitted the club will not stand in his way if a suitable offer comes in.
He told ARD: “We already had a gentlemen’s agreement with Jadon last year that he can switch under certain conditions.”

Erlind Haaland – Borussia Dortmund to Chelsea
Despite Timo Werner impressing under the tutelage of Thomas Tuchel, his lack of Premier League goals could see the Blues to search for another striker.
And the German gaffer could look to raid his former employers to bring Norway international Haaland to Stamford Bridge in a £150m deal.
According to the Telegraph, Haaland would be open to holding talks over a potential switch to the European champions.
The 20-year-old frontman is believed to be demanding around £300,000-a-week to sign on the dotted line.
Chelsea have also looked into signing Kane and Inter Milan forward Romelu Lukaku.
But both deals appear highly unlikely leaving Tuchel to make his move for Haaland.

Cristiano Ronaldo – Juventus to Man Utd/PSG
With just one year left on his deal in Turin, the six-time Ballon d’Or winner has been tipped with a move away from Italy.
It has been stated that Ronaldo’s representatives have contacted United and Paris Saint-Germain over a potential switch.
Corriere dello Sport suggests the Theatre of Dreams is one possible destination for him, but United would only be able to offer him a reduced salary.
Meanwhile reports have claimed that PSG are in talks to sign the 36-year-old, who would be open to competing in Ligue 1.
Talk of a sensational PSG switch has gathered pace since Neymar’s bombshell interview last month where he declared he wants to play alongside the Portugal international.

Kylian Mbappe – PSG to Real Madrid
Like Ronaldo, the Frenchman’s contract will expire in 2022, leading to him to be potentially sold this summer.
Real Madrid are long-term admirers of the 22-year-old having failed to secure his services when he was just 14.
Mbappe reportedly has a ‘family agreement’ to join the LaLiga side.
His Les Bleus team-mate Karim Benzema has even urged the player to join him in Spain as he talked of a possible transfer.

Chelsea ‘open to selling Callum Hudson-Odoi’ after Bayern Munich renew transfer interest in winger

CHELSEA are open to selling Callum Hudson-Odoi with Bayern Munich set to renew their interest, reports say. The winger was heavily linked with the German giants in 2019, as Bayern made four bids of up to £35million.

Hudson-Odoi, a product of the Blues academy, stayed and later signed a bumper five-year deal, with three years remaining on his contract.
But now according to The Times, Chelsea are prepared to listen to offers for the promising forward.
That is despite manager Thomas Tuchel being an admirer of the England international.
Tuchel has played Hudson-Odoi in a variety of positions both out wide and through the middle, including a role at right wing-back.
He finished the season with 37 appearances and five goals, two of which in the Champions League campaign which Chelsea eventually won.
But Tuchel has alternative options out wide in Christian Pulisic, 22, Hakim Ziyech, 28, Mason Mount, 22, Timo Werner, 25, and Kai Havertz, 21.
The German is said to be prioritising bolstering his options in defence, midfield and up front with a star striker eyed.
Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, 20, remains a favourite but could cost up to £172m.

Further reports in The Times have said Chelsea could include unfavored forward Tammy Abraham, 23, in a deal for Haaland.
Abraham, like Hudson-Odoi, could be a potential transfer casualty in the summer window having been overlooked by Tuchel.

Wamangituka told Stuttgart he had been living in fear since leaving the Democratic Republic of Congo to play for French club Ales.
He revealed that his real name was Silas Katompa Mvumpa and his birthdate was a year earlier, making him now 22 instead of 21.
The striker said his personal information had been changed by an agent in Belgium who had put pressure on him before a trial with Anderlecht when he was 18.
He told Stuttgart’s website: “I have lived in constant fear in recent years and was worried about my family in the Congo. It was a very difficult step for me to reveal my story.

“I wouldn’t have dared do this if VfB Stuttgart hadn’t become a second home for me where I feel safe.”
Silas – as he is now known – also now has a valid Congolese passport with corrected personal details.
Stuttgart have released a statement that throws their support behind their player – who was recently crowned Bundesliga Rookie of the Season.

And Dortmund ace Haaland, 20, is among their top priorities.
Talks have already taken place regarding a possible switch to Stamford Bridge for more than £150million.
However, The Times state the West Londoners may be tempted to try and include Abraham in any deal.
They value their academy graduate at around £40m.
So offering Abraham would both reduce the transfer fee Chelsea must pay as well as giving Dortmund somewhat of a replacement No9.
The 23-year-old has struggled to convince Thomas Tuchel since the German replaced Frank Lampard in January.
He made just seven appearances totalling 230 minutes and managed just one goal – the winner in the 1-0 FA Cup win over Barnsley.
His last Premier League goal came on Boxing Day with a late consolation at Arsenal.

Abraham was left out of the squad for the FA Cup and Champions League finals and has also been linked with Newcastle.
Chelsea see Haaland as their No1 target with Tottenham unlikely to sell Harry Kane to their London rivals and Romelu Lukaku happy at Inter Milan.
Haaland smashed in 41 goals in 41 games this season and is being chased by the two Manchester clubs as well as Barcelona and Real Madrid.
But it is the Blues making headway towards a transfer.
Former Norway striker turned pundit Jan Aage Fjortoft said: “Chelsea working intense (sic) to get Erling Haaland.
“He is seen as the ‘missing’ player to make them challenge for the PL title next season.
“Fee very high, but confidence that this can be solved. The main obstacle could be the wage structure at Chelsea.”

The Bayern Munich star has remained first-choice for club and country for over a decade and lifted the World Cup in 2014.
Before Die Mannschaft’s game against Latvia on Monday, he donned a special pair of ‘100’ gloves to mark the occasion.
And the Neuer was warmly welcomed into Dusseldorf’s Merkur Spielarena as he captained his country for the landmark.
No keeper from the men’s national team had reached 100 caps for Germany before the 35-year-old, with 1970s star Sepp Maier coming closest on 95.
Silke Rottenberg and Nadine Angerer have both achieved the feat for the women’s side.
Joachim Low said ahead of the game: “From the first moment he was with us, I had the feeling he would go on to be one of the world’s great goalkeepers.”

And he watched on as his team-mates dismantled Latvia having drawn with Denmark in their other warm-up friendly.
Ilkay Gundogan and Serge Gnabry were both on the scoresheet as Low’s men led 5-0 by half-time before Timo Werner and Leroy Sane made it 7-1.

Chelsea undertaking ‘intense’ work to reach transfer deal with Erling Haaland, says ex-Norway striker Jan Aage Fjortoft

CHELSEA are hard at work formulating a deal to sign Erling Haaland, according to reports.Thomas Tuchel has delivered the Champions League to Stamford Bridge and is being given a huge transfer fund to plot a Premier League title bid.
Thomas Tuchel is preparing a busy summer in the transfer marketCredit: PA
A new striker is among their targets with Romelu Lukaku and Harry Kane joining Haaland in being linked with the Blues.
According to former Norway striker turned pundit Jan Aage Fjortoft, the Borussia Dortmund star is the number one priority.
Chelsea are working ‘intensely’ to beat Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester City to the 20-year-old, it is said.
However, Haaland’s wage demands are reportedly the biggest stumbling block in the deal.
It had already been noted that Borussia may demand as much as £172million for their star forward – yet Fjortoft insists the Prem giants are confident of working around that.
Instead, the Chelsea wage structure may end up being blown apart if the club is not careful in personal terms negotiations with the Norwegian’s agent, Mino Raiola.

SunSport revealed earlier this year that Haaland may cost £600,000-a-week in wages, on a five-year contract which would surpass £150m on its own.
Any prospective buyer may have to wait until next summer to complete a deal, when his release clause is rumoured to drop to £63m.
And the marksman appears to be in no rush to leave Germany having smashed 41 goals in 2020-21.
Haaland recently told NENT: “I have a contract for a couple of fine years, so I am respectful towards my contract.”

Man Utd to save nearly £30MILLION on Jadon Sancho transfer after Borussia Dortmund lower asking price to £81.5m

MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly set to finally land Jadon Sancho – for nearly £30million less than he’d have cost last summer. The Red Devils have long wanted to sign the England star, having been wowed by his performances in the Bundesliga.

But Dortmund dug their heels in last year, demanding £108m.
United refused to match their asking price and Sancho stayed in Germany.
This time around, however, the Red Devils look set to finally secure their target.
According to The Mirror, Dortmund will accept £81.5m for the 21-year-old.
Manchester City are set to receive £12.25m from the deal, having included a 15 per cent sell on clause when Sancho moved to Dortmund as a 17-year-old.
Sancho had a sensational 2019-20 season, prompting United’s interest by scoring 20 goals and assisting another 20 in 44 appearances for Dortmund.
His numbers dropped off slightly the following campaign, but he still managed an exceptional 16 goals and 20 assists in all competitions.
He is currently on international duty with England and is set to play a key role for Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions this summer.
