The France international has flirted with a move away from the Parc des Princes and has shown little sign of committing his long-term future to the Parisians.
And with Mbappe not making his intentions for the future clear, The Athletic claims PSG have identified England international Sancho as a replacement for the World Cup winner.
PSG’s reported interest in signing Sancho will be a blow to Premier League big boys Manchester United.
The Red Devils are long-term admirers of the 21-year-old, who they tried to sign last summer, and are said to still be interested in acquiring his services.
United will be hoping Mbappe pens a new deal with PSG in order to avoid a battle with the Qatari-owned club.
Talks are ongoing between the Ligue 1 giants and Mbappe’s representatives.

And PSG chief Mauricio Pochettino is optimistic the 22-year-old will pen a new deal with the club.
When asked about the recent speculation surrounding Mbappe’s future, the Argentine said: “It’s something we are used to.
“When we talk about top clubs and top players like Kylian Mbappe who is at international level, there will always be rumours.
“The most important thing is that Kylian is quiet.

“He is quiet and focused on the team and helping them achieve their goals.
“Kylian is very mature, despite his age.
“Both club and player are trying to come to an agreement that will see Kylian stay with us for a long time.
“It’s the desire of the club and we are working on everything.

“You cannot control what happens outside. Does it have any effect on the players’ performance or the atmosphere of the team? Zero, no consequences.”
News of PSG’s supposed interest in signing Sancho comes after the winger’s return to training ahead of Dortmund’s Champions League clash with Manchester City.
The former City academy star completed sprints and ball drills during an individual session at Dortmund’s Brackel training centre on Sunday.
Dortmund will welcome Pep Guardiola’s side to the Westfalenstadion on Wednesday night for the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie.

Mino Raiola ‘wants to make Erling Haaland first £1m-a-week player as Man Utd step up transfer interest in Dortmund star’

MINO RAIOLA wants to make Erling Haaland the first £1million-a-week footballer, according to reports. And that could mean a three-way shootout between Manchester City, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain for the Norwegian’s signature.
Erling Haaland could become the first footballer to earn £1million per weekCredit: Alamy
According to the Mirror, the super-agent is determined to secure a mega-money deal for his client which is likely to price out many of the interested clubs.
A contract worth £1m per week would put Haaland ahead of the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar as the world’s top earners.
As revealed by SunSport, Haaland himself wants £600,000 per week – enough to make him the record earner in the Premier League.
But it seems his agents is pushing for an even better deal.
Raiola and Haaland’s dad Alf-Inge met with Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid at the beginning of April.
And it is thought both clubs were stunned by the figures quoted by the agent.
Those same numbers have been given to the Premier League sides considering a bid for the 20-year-old.
On top of stumping up record-breaking wages, a move this summer would surely require at least a £150m transfer fee which few clubs will be able to afford, especially with the effects of the pandemic.

City boss Pep Guardiola said: “I don’t know what’s going to happen – but at these prices we’re not going to buy any striker.”
But the report insists Raiola – who is in store for more than £25m in commission – believes some clubs will be willing to pay for a guaranteed goalscorer.
Haaland has 33 in 34 games this season – taking his tally to 49 in 52 for Dortmund since his arrival in January 2020 and getting to 20 Champions League strikes in record time.
But while the likes of cash-strapped Barcelona and Juventus as well as Premier League pair Liverpool and Chelsea may be put off by the incredible demands, Manchester United are thought still to be keen.
The Red Devils did not hold talks with the striker’s representatives last week but Haaland’s compatriot Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains an admirer.
He tried to lure the then-teenager to Old Trafford before his Dortmund move – but refused to be drawn into committing to a summer pursuit.

Solskjaer said: “Even though I worked with Erling it’s not right for me as Manchester United manager to talk about Erling, he will make his own mind up.
“I’m focusing on the next two months and whatever happens in the world of football there is only so many places anyone can go to and I just, focus on the ones who are here.”
SunSport columnist Karren Brady likened the transfer negotiations around Haaland to the marriage of a prince – with only the very wealthiest having a chance of landing him.
She wrote: “Monarchs depended on the knowledge of ambassadors and the bargaining power of favourite relations for securing a bride with a huge dowry, lands, a title of her own and, with luck, beauty.
“These negotiators travelled far and wide and were often well rewarded.
“Should this remind readers of agent Mino Raiola and Alf-Inge Haaland, it is no coincidence — the couple have been on a tour of Europe inspecting possible match-ups for young Erling.
“The fee for the 20-year-old blond giant and serial goalscorer is said to be £100-£150m — a sum only affordable to the wealthier aristocracy among clubs.”

Watch Jude Bellingham smash in his first Bundesliga goal as Dortmund down Stuttgart to keep Champions League hopes alive

JUDE BELLINGHAM lasered another remarkable milestone with his first Bundesliga goal. The England midfielder, 17, lashed home from the edge of the area as Borussia Dortmund kept alive their slim hopes of a top-four finish with a 3-2 comeback win at Stuttgart.

Euro 2020 hopeful Bellingham showed again he has it all with an instinctive low drive to make it 1-1 70 seconds after the interval.
The former Birmingham City prodigy had already netted on his Dortmund debut, a 5-0 German Cup win over Duisburg on September 14.
And he was controversially denied what might have been a crucial Champions League strike in last Tuesday’s 2-1 defeat at Manchester City.
Bellingham nipped the ball off Etihad keeper Ederson and slotted into the net but was penalised for a foul, sparking huge protests and earning himelf a yellow card.
This time, though, he was far less animated – despite the goal standing.
He was too anxious to get the ball back rather than celebrate, knowing that Dortmund were well adrift of the top four and needed to push on for victory.
Yet the fact Edin Terzić’s men did snatch all three points was, in the end, down to another teenager bagging his first-ever goal for Dortmund.
In just his third Bundesliga match, 19-year-old sub Ansgar Knauff fired an 80th-minute winner.
The German youth international winger picked the ball up on the fringe of the area and threaded a clever shot past two defenders and Stuttgart keeper Gregor Kobel.
Bellingham’s own moment to remember had earlier cancelled out a 17th-minute looping header from Sasa Kalajdzic.

Marco Reus soon followed up Bellingham’s leveller by putting Dortmund in front.
And just two minutes after Daniel Didavi thought he had rescued a point for mid-table Stuttgart, Terzik struck in style.
But triumphant Dortmund are still six points off fourth-placed Eintracht Frankfurt and 19 behind leaders Bayern Munich.

West Ham fighting Dortmund for Jordan Larsson – son of Celtic hero Henrik – as 23-year-old impresses at Spartak Moscow

WEST HAM and Borussia Dortmund are both reportedly keen on signing Spartak Moscow star Jordan Larsson – son of Celtic legend Henrik. The striker, 23, has been in excellent form in the Russian Premier League this season and has attracted attention from across Europe.

West Ham are in desperate need of striker with injury prone Michail Antonio their only recognised front man on the books.
And with Erling Haaland heavily linked with a move away from Dortmund at the end of this season, the Bundesliga side are in the market for a replacement.
Larsson is on the radar of both teams, according to Goal.
Spartak signed Larsson from Swedish side Norrkoping for £3.5million in August 2019.
The Sweden international has bagged 12 goals for Spartak in 23 Russian Prem matches so far this season.
He was also voted the club’s player of the month for March
Jordan grew up in football circles with dad Henrik playing for Celtic, Barcelona and Manchester United since he was born in 1997.
And in December, he revealed he would love to follow in his dad’s footsteps and play for the Bhoys in Green.

He said: “For me Celtic will always have a special place in my heart.
“Not that I’ve played there in that sense, but it was the first place where I saw football as a young kid going with my mother to see games when my father was playing.
“That’s where I have the biggest memories in my head.
“‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ you have all the scarves before the games and everything so of course it will always have a special place in my heart.
“But at the same time since my father is who he is at the club I think for me personally if I would ever have the chance to play there then I would like to establish myself even more, make my own name before I would play there if that chance would ever come up but of course it’s tempting.
“Not that they are interested in that sense but If I think about it to be able to play there would be a dream in that sense.
“For me my whole life has been about proving I’m a good player, that I’m my own person you know.”

Scholes believes Man Utd WILL splash out £150m on Erling Haaland transfer and only Chelsea can afford to rival them

PAUL SCHOLES has backed Manchester United to sign Erling Haaland this summer.Borussia Dortmund have put a £150million price tag on the strike sensation, leading Scholes to believe that only United or Chelsea can afford him.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have already held talks with the 20-year-old’s entourage, while Manchester City have also been linked.
But Scholes, 46, does not believe the LaLiga giants have the finances to pull off the deal.
And he also doubted Pep Guardiola’s desire to spend big on a striker.
Asked about a United bid on BT Sport, the former midfielder explained: “I think they probably would, why not?
“I think it’s about the club who can pay for him. I don’t think there’s too many of them.
“You think of Real Madrid and Barcelona, all the noises you hear.
“They probably couldn’t pay that type of money.
“Man City look like they don’t want to pay that type of money.

“To be fair, they very rarely play with a No9 anyway. Even with [Sergio] Aguero and Gabriel Jesus, he’s hardly played them.
“So is that the type of player that Guardiola wants? I’m not sure it is.
“It’s a player United will be desperate for, Chelsea will be desperate for.
“They’re probably the two clubs who I think could probably afford it this summer.”
However, fellow former Premier League player Jamie O’Hara has told United they will struggle to sign the Norwegian.
Paul Pogba’s situation was used by the ex-Tottenham star to outline how Haaland may be nervy about joining a team short on trophies.

He told talkSPORT: “Look at Pogba. They paid £100million for him and he’s gone they’re thinking we’re going to the next level.
“And it hasn’t worked. He’s been almost trophyless.
“Haaland’s not going to Manchester United where it will be, ‘We might win something, we might not’.
“He’s going somewhere where he is winning everything.”

Borussia Dortmund already looking at Erling Haaland transfer replacements and keen on Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic

BORUSSIA DORTMUND are reportedly weighing up a move for Sasa Kalajdzic as a replacement for Erling Haaland. The Stuttgart striker, 23, has been in fine form this season with 13 goals in 26 games in the Bundesliga.
Borussia Dortmund have set their sights on 13-goal Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic
Erling Haaland is perhaps the most wanted player in Europe right now
According to German football magazine Kicker, Kalajdzic has attracted interest from Dortmund, who are reportedly keeping tabs on the Austria international.
BVB view him as a replacement for Haaland, who is arguably Europe’s most wanted player.
Per Bild, Kalajdzic would also consider a move to Liverpool, who are interested in signing him along with West Ham.
And according to the German newspaper, Kalajdzic could be available for £21million this summer.
At 6ft 5in, the Austrian could potentially replace Haaland’s physicality for Dortmund.
However, his track record for goalscoring falls some way short of the Norwegian’s stunning record – Kalajdzic has scored 27 goals in 70 career games.
He describes himself as somewhere between a No 9 and a No 10, having previously operated as a midfielder in his youth.
He would have an incredibly difficult task to replace Haaland – as would any new signing.

Haaland displayed another strong area of his game when he assisted Marco Reus’ goal against Manchester City on Tuesday.
And footage of the striker chatting and joking with Phil Foden sparked rumours he could be heading to the Etihad.
Agent Mino Raiola may be keener for his client to move to Spain, however, having spoken to both Barcelona and Real Madrid about a potential move last week.

Chelsea ‘one of only two or three clubs’ financially stable with Marina Granovskaia ‘doing good job’, says Rummenigge

The Blues announced a £32.5million profit in their latest set of accounts up to June 30, 2020.
Covid-19 hit last March, with fans banned from attending matches, but Chelsea’s robust finances managed to cope.
Rummenigge said his Champions League winners Bayern have been losing £3.5m to £4.3m in revenue each ‘fanless’ game.
And he highlighted Chelsea as one of few clubs doing well to keep their balance sheets in order.
He told the Athletic: “There are maybe two or three clubs who are able to buck the trend.
“Chelsea’s numbers, for example, look very positive. Marina has done a very good job.
“But we won’t see any all-time high [profit] records tumble this summer, that’s for sure.
“Everyone I talk to wants to reduce their payroll. That also applies to Bayern. Transfer fees went down by 50 per cent last season, which was good, but the wages haven’t adjusted downwards accordingly.

“We find that players and their agents are not happy to renew under existing circumstances but want more.
“It’ll be an interesting transfer market. It’ll be instructive to see whether the best players will have the upper hand in that regard.
“We need to rely on players and agents understanding the situation. The whole football industry, the whole world has been damaged by Covid-19.
“I’m curious to see if there will be one club in Europe that can break even this season. It’ll be challenging, even for us.

Chelsea ‘prepared to launch £86m Romelu Lukaku transfer offer’ if they fail to land £154m Erling Haaland from Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund star Haaland is said to be top of their wishlist.
But the 20-year-old is one of Europe’s hottest properties and competition for the £154m valued star is set to be fierce.
As a result, the West Londoners are planning an £86m bid for Inter Milan striker Lukaku as Plan B, according to Calciomercato.
The Belgian had an unsuccessful spell at Stamford Bridge between 2011 and 2014 – where he failed to score a goal – but the Blues are not deterred.
Earlier this week, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel refused to rule out a move for Haaland.
Haaland’s dad Alf-Inge and agent Mino Raiola – who could bag up to £25m from any deal – have held discussions with Real Madrid and Barcelona in Spain before heading to England to meet with Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool.
But Tuchel did not give anything away when quizzed on any potential meeting between Haaland’s representatives and the Blues.
The German said: “I will not answer that, out of respect for the player and for Borussia Dortmund.

“He’s a Borussia Dortmund player, and of course there’s big news around him and his agent. And it seems like they are creating a race for the player.
“But still everybody needs to accept, and I will fully accept, that he is a Borussia Dortmund player, a very promising player of course.
“But with respect to the situation, he’s not in our squad, he’s not in our club so there’s no comment on anything else regarding him.”
Chelsea have also been heavily linked with a move for Man City legend Sergio Aguero on a free transfer.
The Argentine will leave City at the end of the season when his contract expires after a ten-year stay at the Etihad.
A vast array of clubs are linked with an offer, including Prem rivals Arsenal.
Despite turning 33 in the coming summer, and enduring a disappointing season in terms of fitness and form, Aguero is said to want a move to a top club.
Stamford Bridge is described as a ‘tempting’ destination, along with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.
Any club bidding for his services would not have to pay a transfer fee, leading to a sizeable wage demand – around £250k-a-week.
