      Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski and Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix could swap clubs in sensational transfer

      They considered making a move for the 22-year-old when he was still at Benfica, but they were pipped to the post by Atletico Madrid in 2019.
      However, according to Roberto Gomez and Marca, the striker could sign for Bayern Munich in a deal that would see Lewandowski go the other way.
      Gomez said: “Bayern Munich is very interested in knowing what Joao Félix’s contract situation is with Atlético de Madrid.
      “Joao Félix’s departure from the Munich team would open the door to the Polish Lewandowski, a player that the red and white team was able to hire years ago and who, following in the footsteps of David Villa and Luis Suárez, could contribute goals and experience to contribute titles.”
      Felix still has four years until his current contract expires, so it might be difficult for the German side to strike a deal without offering an adequate replacement.
      Meanwhile, Lewandowski has less that 18 months left on his contract, so Bayern may want to sell him this year whilst he still has a high valuation.

      Spurs had two bids rejected for the young star on deadline day in January – both were reportedly under Middlesbrough’s £15million valuation.
      However, Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are now in the running to sign him.
      According to Sky Sports, the German giants have been scouting Spence and will continue to do so in the coming weeks.

      What date does the summer transfer window open?

      THE summer transfer window provides clubs with the biggest opportunity to bolster their squads and it is only THREE months away.Certain leagues across the globe are yet to announce when their transfer window will officially open but it is expected to be a rollercoaster ride of a summer.

      England: Premier League and EFL transfer window
      In 2021, the Premier League and EFL’s summer transfer window opened on June 9 and it ran for 12 weeks closing on August 31 matching the rest of Europe.
      And it is expected to be the same time frame in 2022.
      Italy: Serie A transfer window
      Italy are expected to open their summer transfer period on July, 1 and stop negotiations from going through on August, 31 – before the start of the new season.
      Spain: La Liga transfer window
      In unison with Italy, Spain are also expected to open their summer transfer window on July 1 and close on August 31.
      However, clubs still have the ability to sign a free agent and loan/sell players to leagues where the market is still active.
      Germany: Bundesliga transfer window
      The Germans are also looking to operate with the same transfer dates as Italy and Spain; opening on July 1 and closing on August 31.
      But their window closure time is expected to be at 4pm UK time – 5pm local time as opposed to 10:59pm UK time – 11:59pm local time.
      France: Ligue 1 transfer window
      France will follow suit with the English leagues by opening its window on June, 9 and letting it run on until August 31.
      United States: MLS transfer window
      The Major League Soccer’s transfer period is significantly different to the other leagues.
      Instead of having a January winter window, the governing bodies have chosen to have two windows within the time frame of March and August.
      Usually, the MLS primary window opens from February, 10 and closes on May, 4.
      However, in 2021, their preseason and opening day of April, 17 was delayed which meant that the primary transfer window opened from March 10 and closed on June 1.
      Thankfully, their plans for the secondary transfer window remained the same opening on July 7 and closing on August 5.
      And this years primary one has gone to plan because it is currently open now and will close on May 4.

      Tottenham ‘interested in Alexander Nubel transfer with Bayern Munich goalkeeper wanted as Hugo Lloris replacement’

      Nubel is earning rave reviews on loan at French giants Monaco.
      He made the temporary switch to Ligue 1 in June to get game-time rather than act as understudy to Bayern legend Manuel Neuer, 35.
      Sport Witness cite an article in Kicker which says the German giants are currently weighing up their options over new contracts for both Nubel and Neuer.
      It says keeping both happy in the same squad at the Allianz Arena is going to be difficult.
      It says Bayern would ideally like Nubel to continue to develop on loan at a club in the Champions League.
      It adds that ‘Tottenham are interested’.

      Scoring goals for fun, Haaland made his transfer to the Bundesliga giants in the winter transfer window of 2020.
      And in an interview with VG back in October 2020, the Norwegian sensation could only think of seven centre-forwards in world football better than him at the time – and it was some list.
      The seven was made up of five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandowski from rivals Bayern Munich.
      Three of the remaining five strikers also ply their trade in the Premier League with Tottenham hero Harry Kane, Roberto Firmino of Liverpool and Chelsea man Timo Werner – who has struggled to replicate his form from Germany at Stamford Bridge.
      New Barcelona ace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is on the list, as is the man he replaced at the Nou Camp, Sergio Aguero, who was forced to retire last year.
      But despite the hundreds of goals between the seven, Haaland emphasised he had the self-confidence to choose himself to lead the line in a huge match.

      THE battle for Erling Haaland’s signature is reportedly narrowing to a two-horse race.Manchester United are said to be out of the running to land the 21-year-old wonderkid this summer.

      And Chelsea’s interest is thought to be waning as club chiefs still hope £97.5million-signing Romelu Lukaku will come good.
      Now ESPN reports Manchester City and Real Madrid are the two European giants left to scrap it out for the Dortmund striker’s services.
      Norway international Haaland is one of world football’s hottest properties after smashing in 80 goals in just 79 appearances for the Bundesliga side.
      The player himself is thought to favour a move to the Bernabeu and Real reckon they have the funds to bring him in.
      He could cost around £30m a year in wages but the LaLiga leaders are set to shift a host of stars – including Gareth Bale, Isco and Marcelo – off their books to free up the cash.
      City could easily afford such sums and are still searching for a striker after failing to bring in England skipper Harry Kane last summer.

      Man Utd and Arsenal in Denis Zakaria transfer blow as Bayern Munich join race for Monchengladbach midfielder

      BAYERN MUNICH have reportedly joined Arsenal and Manchester United in the race for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria.The 25-year-old has entered the last six months of his contract and is unwilling to consider staying at Monchengladbach once it expires.

      The German side are open to cashing in on him whilst they still can, with Arsenal and Manchester United both interested.
      Reports last week suggested that the Red Devils had already offered the player a contract and would rather pay a fee this month than wait until the summer.
      But, Bayern Munich are now seriously considering a swoop and are the current favorites to secure his signature.
      The Bundesliga title holders are said to be hopeful of signing Zakaria on a free transfer in the summer as a replacement for Corentin Tolisso, whose contract also expires in June.
      Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg recently tweeted: “He [Zakaria] is a potential candidate to replace Tolisso in summer.
