      Arsenal transfer boost as Serge Gnabry ‘refuses to sign new Bayern Munich contract despite being offered double pay’

      ARSENAL’S hopes of landing Serge Gnabry have been given a boost after reports that he is refusing to sign a blockbuster Bayern Munich contract. The winger would reportedly see his pay double if he put pen to paper, but is yet to do so.

      The stand-off could open the door to Arsenal tempting the superstar back to the Emirates.
      Gnabry left the club in 2016, but has since gone on to make a name for himself playing in Germany. But Bild report that contract talks with Bayern have stalled, despite big money being on the table.
      The German newspaper say Gnabry could potentially double his wages from a reported £6.7m a year to between £14m and £16m.

      If he were to sign the contract, it would rank Gnabry among the highest earners at the club, alongside the likes of Kingsley Coman and former Manchester City ace Leroy Sane.
      But Bild report that wages are a “side issue” for Gnabry, and he “doesn’t feel like the club sees him as a pillar for the future”.
      The 26-year-old’s contract runs out in the summer of 2023, meaning he could leave on a free in a year’s time if this issue was not resolved.
      Arsenal have been repeatedly linked to Gnabry, who has been clear about remaining a huge fan of the club.

      BAYERN MUNICH star Robert Lewandowski is desperate to join Barcelona in the summer – so he can finally win the Ballon d’Or, according to reports.The striker won his eighth Bundesliga title at the weekend but is keen to move to another top European side.

      And the Poland international has his eye on Barcelona as success with the Spanish giants could help his bid to become officially the world’s greatest player, report Sport.

      Lewandowski’s agent Pini Zahavi is believed to be in Munich now for contract discussions, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
      Barcelona have been in talks with Lewandowski’s representatives for weeks but are yet to make contact with Bayern.
      A move to the Nou Camp still remains the priority for Lewandowski however, who has shrugged off interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

      Manchester City appear to be in pole position for his signature, with Haaland reportedly jetting to Monaco for talks with agent Mino Raiola on Sunday.

      Erling Haaland jets to French Riviera for showdown talks with Mino Raiola as he closes in on Man City transfer

      ERLING HAALAND reportedly jetted to Monaco on Sunday to meet with agent Mino Raiola.The striker is expected to join Manchester City this summer after it was claimed that he agreed a £500,000-a-week contract with Pep Guardiola’s side.

      With City set to trigger his £64million release clause, Haaland is believed to have flown out to the French Riviera for talks with Raiola, who lives in the Principality.
      He is claimed to have attended a brief session with Dortmund on Sunday morning before jetting out.
      According to German newspaper Ruhr Nachrichten, the purpose of the meeting was to finish finalising Haaland’s future.
      April 30 is reportedly the deadline to activate his release clause, as they are expected to do.
