      Tottenham ‘interested in Alexander Nubel transfer with Bayern Munich goalkeeper wanted as Hugo Lloris replacement’

      TOTTENHAM are reportedly still interested in signing Bayern Munich keeper Alexander Nubel.The 25-year-old German is seen as a potential successor to Spurs No 1 Hugo Lloris, 35, according to Sport Witness.

      Nubel is earning rave reviews on loan at French giants Monaco.
      He made the temporary switch to Ligue 1 in June to get game-time rather than act as understudy to Bayern legend Manuel Neuer, 35.
      Sport Witness cite an article in Kicker which says the German giants are currently weighing up their options over new contracts for both Nubel and Neuer.
      It says keeping both happy in the same squad at the Allianz Arena is going to be difficult.
      It says Bayern would ideally like Nubel to continue to develop on loan at a club in the Champions League.
      It adds that ‘Tottenham are interested’.

      Scoring goals for fun, Haaland made his transfer to the Bundesliga giants in the winter transfer window of 2020.
      And in an interview with VG back in October 2020, the Norwegian sensation could only think of seven centre-forwards in world football better than him at the time – and it was some list.
      The seven was made up of five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandowski from rivals Bayern Munich.
      Three of the remaining five strikers also ply their trade in the Premier League with Tottenham hero Harry Kane, Roberto Firmino of Liverpool and Chelsea man Timo Werner – who has struggled to replicate his form from Germany at Stamford Bridge.
      New Barcelona ace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is on the list, as is the man he replaced at the Nou Camp, Sergio Aguero, who was forced to retire last year.
      But despite the hundreds of goals between the seven, Haaland emphasised he had the self-confidence to choose himself to lead the line in a huge match.

      Man Utd ‘OUT of Erling Haaland transfer race and Chelsea not as keen leaving City and Real Madrid to do battle’

      THE battle for Erling Haaland’s signature is reportedly narrowing to a two-horse race.Manchester United are said to be out of the running to land the 21-year-old wonderkid this summer.

      And Chelsea’s interest is thought to be waning as club chiefs still hope £97.5million-signing Romelu Lukaku will come good.
      Now ESPN reports Manchester City and Real Madrid are the two European giants left to scrap it out for the Dortmund striker’s services.
      Norway international Haaland is one of world football’s hottest properties after smashing in 80 goals in just 79 appearances for the Bundesliga side.
      The player himself is thought to favour a move to the Bernabeu and Real reckon they have the funds to bring him in.
      He could cost around £30m a year in wages but the LaLiga leaders are set to shift a host of stars – including Gareth Bale, Isco and Marcelo – off their books to free up the cash.
      City could easily afford such sums and are still searching for a striker after failing to bring in England skipper Harry Kane last summer.

      Man Utd and Arsenal in Denis Zakaria transfer blow as Bayern Munich join race for Monchengladbach midfielder

      BAYERN MUNICH have reportedly joined Arsenal and Manchester United in the race for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria.The 25-year-old has entered the last six months of his contract and is unwilling to consider staying at Monchengladbach once it expires.

      The German side are open to cashing in on him whilst they still can, with Arsenal and Manchester United both interested.
      Reports last week suggested that the Red Devils had already offered the player a contract and would rather pay a fee this month than wait until the summer.
      But, Bayern Munich are now seriously considering a swoop and are the current favorites to secure his signature.
      The Bundesliga title holders are said to be hopeful of signing Zakaria on a free transfer in the summer as a replacement for Corentin Tolisso, whose contract also expires in June.

      MANCHESTER UNITED have offered Denis Zakaria a contract, according to reports. And it is thought the Red Devils would be willing to pay a transfer fee this January rather than wait to land him on a free in the summer.

      Zakaria, 25, is in the final six months of his contract at Borussia Monchengladbach.
      But Bild in Germany state United have already tabled a deal for his agents to look over.
      However, Monchengladbach are yet to be involved in the negotiations.
      Zakaria fits the profile as a holding midfielder United desperately need to bring in.
      Interim manager Ralf Rangnick is said to be a huge fan of the 6ft 3ins Swiss international.
      Midfielders Declan Rice and Ruben Neves have also been linked with moves to Old Trafford as United look to bolster in that area.

      FORMER Werder Bremen manager Markus Anfang has confessed to using a fake Covid passport – a criminal offence in Germany.The incident took place when Anfang gained entry into Cologne carnival using the fake document in November.

      An investigation was launched and the coach admitted to prosecutors last month that he used a false Covid passport, according to reports in Germany.
      Frank Passade, the spokesman for the Bremen public prosecutor’s office, said: “He made a statement through his defence attorney and admitted the charge.
      “We will now think about how to close the case.”
      Anfang is believed to have told prosecutors that he falsified the document due to the growing pressure of being unvaccinated.
      According to Der Spiegel he refused the jab as he was fearful of heart complications – his father died of a heart condition.
      Due to the nature of Anfang’s confession there is unlikely to be a public hearing on the matter though he may receive a judicial penalty order.
