But the streaming specialists Viaplay and BT Sport’s new partners want a slice of the action.
Sky is anxious not to lose subscribers, with many in the EFL community.
Suspended Match of the Day host Gary Lineker has already been offered a more conventional new role by BT Sport as part of their planned summer revamp to become TNT Sports.
They want the ex-England star, 62, to be the face of their new venture, which includes Premier League and Champions League coverage.

The popular presenter was suspended from presenting the Beeb’s flagship Premier League highlights show amid an ongoing dispute with the BBC over his tweets.
Lineker previously worked for BT Sport between 2015-2021 and has presented Match of the Day since 1999.
He decided to step down to watch his beloved Leicester on their European journey in the Europa Conference League last season, with Brendan Rodgers’ side reaching the semi-final.
And Lineker was at the King Power Stadium today to watch the Foxes in action against Chelsea after becoming expectedly free.

It comes as the veteran broadcaster sparked a free speech row when he compared the Government’s plans to ban migrants arriving on small boats from settling in Britain with “1930’s Germany”.
The BBC said Lineker’s criticism of the Government’s Illegal Migration Bill on Twitter was a “breach of our guidelines”.
The pundit was then forced to step back from presenting duties on the flagship football show – that he’s presented since 1999 – until a “clear position” on his social media use is agreed.
But his suspension sparked chaos as scores of Match of the Day co-hosts refused to appear in solidarity with the veteran presenter.
Ian Wright, Alan Shearer, Jermaine Jenas, Alex Scott, Mark Chapman and Micah Richards all refused to fill in amid the chaos.
The show’s commentary team are also standing down – meaning the show will go without presenters, pundits or commentators.
It means the show will be highlights only and will last just 20 minutes. More

But following outpouring of support he appears to have received job offers from two broadcasting titans.
BT Sport are interested in hiring the presenter as part of their planned summer revamp to become TNT Sports, according to the Daily Mail.
The broadcaster has been bought by Warner Brothers Discovery and they are reportedly planning to expand their football coverage.
They want the ex-England star to be the face of their new venture, which includes Premier League and Champions League coverage.

BT Sport have the rights for those competitions for two and four more years respectively and are believed to be in the market for EFL rights, currently held by Sky Sports.
Lineker previously worked for BT Sport between 2015-2021 and has presented Match Of The Day since 1999.
He decided to step down to watch his beloved Leicester City on their European journey in the Europa Conference League last season, with Brendan Rodgers’ side reaching the semi-final.
ITV are also allegedly interested in Mr Lineker – having chased his signature for years.

And sources speaking to The Mail on Sunday say he would “undoubtedly” be able to name his salary.
A source adds: “He is the host of the most watched football programme in Match of the Day so would bring an audience with him, and he also has a brand to take with him.”

And Mr Lineker was at the King Power Stadium today to watch the Foxes in action against Chelsea following his Match of the Day axing.
It comes as the veteran broadcaster sparked a free speech row when he compared the Government’s plans to ban migrants arriving on small boats from settling in Britain with “1930’s Germany”.
The BBC said Mr Lineker’s criticism of the Government’s Illegal Migration Bill on Twitter was a “breach of our guidelines”.
The show’s commentary team also stood down – meaning the show went ahead as a highlights reel without presenters, pundits or commentators.
It lasted just 20 minutes and didn’t even feature the iconic theme tune and opening credits.
    TWITTER ROW
The free speech row was triggered when Mr Lineker responded to a video on Twitter of Home Secretary Suella Braverman as she presented the Government’s small boats plan.
The legislation will see migrants swiftly detained and removed to either their country of origin or a safe third state within 28 days.
Sharing the clip, Mr Lineker said: “Good heavens, this is beyond awful.”
Responding to another user who described him as “out of order”, he added: “We take far fewer refugees than other major European countries.
“This is just an immeasurably cruel policy directed at the most vulnerable people in language that is not dissimilar to that used by Germany in the 30s, and I’m out of order?”
In a statement earlier, the BBC outlined they had undergone “extensive discussions” with the ex-England star, 62, following the furore.
While the Beeb praised his sports coverage as “second to none” they said he should “keep well away from taking sides” on party political topics.
The statement added: “The BBC has been in extensive discussions with Gary and his team in recent days. “We have never said that Gary should be an opinion free zone…
“Or that he can’t have a view on issues that matter to him, but we have said that he should keep well away from taking sides on party political issues or political controversies.”
    BEEB DOUBLE DOWN
But despite the chaos rocking the BBC to its core – it’s crisis-engulfed director general Tim Davie says he will “absolutely not” resign.
He told the BBC on Saturday: “I’m sorry audiences have been affected and they haven’t got the programming.”
And asked if he was sorry about the way he handled it, he said: “We made decisions and I made decisions based on a real passion about what the BBC is and it’s difficult.
“It’s this balance between free speech and impartiality.
“I honestly do not believe, despite a lot of the commentary, that this is about left or right – it’s about our ability.”
The crisis reached its peak late on Saturday when Prime Minister Rishi Sunak waded into the row saying the presenter’s suspension is an issue for the BBC, not him.
Mr Sunak said the free speech row was “rightly a matter” for the BBC, not the Government.
He added that while he respected “not everyone will always agree” with Government policies, he praised Mr Lineker for being a “great footballer and talented presenter”.

‘This relationship isn’t working’ – Glamorous BBC and BT Sport presenter ‘breaks up’ with ‘toxic’ Tottenham

TV presenter Reshmin Chowdhury has announced she’s broken up with “toxic lover” Tottenham.Sympathy and advice poured in from fans when the glamorous BBC and BT Sport broadcaster decided “the relationship isn’t working” following Spurs’ Champions League exit.

Rueful Reshmin untied the Tott after Antonio Conte’s men made little effort to impress her in Wednesday’s 0-0 home stalemate with AC Milan.
Shakespeare would surely have argued: “Better to have loved and drawn than never to have loved at all.”
But the result sent Harry Kane and Co crashing out at the last-16 stage 1-0 on aggregate.
Londoner Reshmin, 45, even revealed she had briefly dumped Spurs over the weekend when they lost 1-0 in the Premier League at Wolves.

But early in Wednesday’s woeful display she posted optimistically from the stands: “Tottenham – the toxic lover I took a break from last Saturday.
“I needed space. But he’s already pulled me back in. Can he keep me after tonight?”
However, after seeing her hopes of being charmed back wither and die, she wrote: “Spurs and I are taking an extended break.
“This relationship isn’t working. Nothing is working. At least your comments kept me entertained! Thank you and goodnight.”

One fed-up fan responded: “I think I’ll join you too. Spurs are hazardous to your health.”
Another added: “I’ve had to go for a drink on my own to calm down. I know we don’t win stuff but not giving it a go is unacceptable in my book.”
A third moaned: “It’s so depressing watching us at the moment.”
But a few supporters reckon Reshmin still has the hots for the Totts.
One wrote: “Extended break…until the weekend?”
And if she does keep a fire burning for Tottenham, some supporters suggested she should look on the bright side.
One fan said: “Try supporting a team that is not 4th or in the Champions League. It’s not the end of the world. There’s still football on a weekend/Monday.”
But if Reshmin does try to go cold turkey, another supporter had a helpful tip.

They suggested: “If there’s ever a Spurs game on TV find a movie that’s 90-95 minutes. My go-to will be American Pie, more entertaining and will have a better time.”

Tottenham and AC Milan match DELAYED after both team coaches arrive LATE for Champions League clash

BT SPORT and supporters were left confused after both Tottenham and AC Milan arrived late for their Champions League clash before a delayed kick-off was eventually confirmed. The squads arrived at the Tottenham Stadium around an hour before the scheduled 8pm start due to weather and traffic around North London.

And that initially led to BT Sport host Jake Humphrey stating that the Champions League last-16 showdown had been pushed back until 8.30pm.
However, just as his pundit panel of Glenn Hoddle, Rio Ferdinand and Peter Crouch discussed the impact of a delayed start a fresh update was issued.
Humphrey then informed viewers that it had now been confirmed that the action would still get underway at it’s original time despite the rush to get ready.
Then, in another twist, it was finally announced that the match would kick-off with a TEN MINUTE DELAY at 8.10pm.

Italian news outlet TV Dello Sport had early shared footage of the Spurs team coach gridlocked in traffic while travelling to the ground.
The Serie A side lead the tie 1-0 following their first leg victory.
It comes just 24 hours after Chelsea’s Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund was also DELAYED following the late arrival of the German giants.

Kick-off was due to take place at 8pm, but the late arrival of the Dortmund bus has scuppered that.

The Germans turned up nearly 30 minutes late due to major congestion around Stamford Bridge, which was in part caused by thousands of fans of both teams walking through the streets of west London.
Dortmund’s late arrival left them with less than an hour to prepare for the second leg of the tie – which led to a ten minute delay. More

The match resulted in a comfortable win for the visitors, although viewers didn’t get to watch the best moment of the game as it happened.
Goals by Antonin Barak and Arthur Cabral put La Viola into a commanding 2-0 position – before a Cristiano Biraghi wonder-strike from his own half sealed a 3-0 win.
With a player down receiving treatment the local broadcast, which BT Sport picks up, decided to show a replay of Verona hitting the post.
As the feed cut back to live, fans were left confused as Fiorentina stars celebrated.

Replays eventually revealed that Biraghi had opted to shoot directly from a free-kick in his own half, with the ball incredibly sailing into the back of the net.

“He’s clearly in a studio, presumably in the UK, but has somehow managed to keep the flow of the commentary relatively steady whilst you can tell half of his brain is working over time on what’s happened.”
Many were unhappy with the referee allowing the wonder-goal to count – one tweeting: “That’s ridiculous how that is allowed stand. Ref is on his way over to check on the injured player.”

    Drake curse strikes again
The curse of rapper Drake has struck again as Jake Paul failed to knock out Tommy Fury.
Drake was hoping to make a huge profit on the fight, putting down a whopping £350,000 on the result of the bout.
He would have profited £1.2million, but has instead lost his money.
This is not the first time the Canadian has put down a lump sum on a sporting result.
And unfortunately he is not often lucky and a notorious ‘Drake curse’ has begun.
He has supposedly bet nearly £1BILLION on sport via crypto casino Stake.
The ‘Drake curse’ stems from him posing with stars like Conor McGregor and Paul Pogba just before they lost crucial matches.
In terms of betting he has dabbled in plenty of sports, he recently put thousands on Barcelona to beat Real Madrid and even sponsored Barca’s shirt for the game but they lost.
He also joined billions from around the world in watching last November-December’s World Cup.
Drake bet £837,000 on Argentina to win the World Cup in the final against France – but lost on a technicality.
The global sensation would’ve seen a return north of £2.26m had Argentina beaten France in regular time.
In F1, He tipped Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc to win the 2022 Spain Grand Prix with the Monegasques starting the race on pole position.
Drake placed £251,000 on Leclerc to win – but the Ferrari ace retired on lap 27 with a turbo and MGH-U failure.
He did win big on the Super Bowl though winning over £1.25m after the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles in Arizona.

    Cris-take
Man Utd fans were all left saying the same thing about Cristiano Ronaldo after he was pictured at the Jake Paul v Tommy Fury fight.
The 38-year-old, now playing his football in Saudi Arabia, was snapped only hours after United lifted the Carabao Cup.
The club have gone from strength to strength this season – even after Ronaldo’s explosive exit from the club at the end of last year.
And some United fans had little time for for the Al-Nassr star.
One said: “Looool the fall from grace, could’ve been lifting a trophy but sat watching a Jake Paul boxing match.”

    KSI trolls Paul fans
KSI revelled in the moment as Jake Paul lost to Tommy Fury, deciding to troll his fans.
He surprisingly jumped into a Twitter space conversation about the fight that was full of sad Paul supporters.
KSI said while bursting into laughter: “I just wanted to hear the tears.”
He was accused by rattled Americans of not fighting a ‘real boxer yet’.
KSI continued to laugh down the microphone and replied to comments suggesting he is going to face Joe Fournier: “I will destroy him and he is a boxer haha.”
He was then called a b***h multiple times but continued to laugh in their faces saying they’re crying enough to “quench the thirst of children in Africa.”
    John Fury praises Paul
After their long bitter feud, John Fury has graciously praised Jake Paul for his talent and desire.
Speaking post-win for his son, John said: “Jake Paul is a lot better than I thought he was.
“He has the right to say he is a professional boxer because he impressed the hell out of me.
“He took great shots, he gave great shots and he served up a fight that was a lot better than some British champions and high level boxers.
“But don’t forget they are raw novices. He [Tommy] made his father very proud and you know what, Paul’s family can be equally as proud as him because he showed determination, grit and steel and they both wanted to win that bad.”

    Froch delighted by result
Carl Froch has named Tommy Fury’s win as good for boxing purists as the YouTuber was defeated via a split decision.
Jake Paul and Froch have had their differences before and the American has called out the 45-year-old before.
Froch told BT Sport after the fight last night: “He’s done professional boxing purists a massive favour by shutting up Jake Paul.
“He can’t call himself a professional boxer because he’s gone in against a novice pro and got absolutely whooped. He got obliterated.”
    Molly-Mae’s sweet tribute
Molly-Mae Hague shared a sweet tribute to her boyfriend Tommy Fury after his win yesterday.
She decided to stay back home in the UK and watch on TV with baby daughter Bambi, her sister Zoe and pals Maura Higgins, Ellen Graham and Stephanie Lam for a watching party.
Molly-Mae took to Instagram writing: “Never in doubt.”
She also posted a loved up snap of the couple with their baby saying: “The pressure on that boy’s shoulders. I will never ever know how he dealt with it.
“Never been more proud of anyone in my life.
“Get home to us our champ.”
Tyson loses bet despite Tommy win
Tyson Fury has lost a £100,000 bet, even though Tommy defeated Jake Paul last night.
With the stakes high, Tommy did not crack under the pressure and managed to seal a split decision victory.
But it was not good enough to save his older brother considerable cash as Tyson had bet that Tommy would stop Paul inside the distance.
Pre-fight, Tyson told iFL TV: “Tommy knocks out 90 per cent of people that he spars with or drops them at least, so he’s a very hard puncher and Jake Paul will find that out tomorrow.
“I’ve got 100 racks on it for an inside-the-distance stoppage, so if he loses, then I’ll lose 100 bags as well. I’ve got him at 3-1.”
    Fighting Talk
One of Jake Paul’s arch rivals KSI, has seemingly called out both the American and Tommy Fury on Twitter.
