Chelsea legend Branislav Ivanovic was at the group stage draw back in SeptemberCredit: Reuters
In fact, all three sides can put out reserves for their final Champions League game and still not worry about being in the draw for the last 16.
Manchester United pulled their socks up after sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to beat Villarreal 2-0, while Chelsea hammered Italian giants Juventus 4-0 as both sides secured their places.
City can qualify if they beat Paris Saint-Germain tonight, but a point could also do the job, while Liverpool secured their spot in the knockout stages with two games to spare.
The last group stage games take place on December 7 and 8, so the draw will be shortly after.
What date is the Champions League last 16 draw and what time does it start?
The Champions League last 16 draw takes place on Monday, December 13.
Expect the draw to kick off at 11am UK time.
There could well be some preamble and chats with former Champions League stars who tend to draw the balls out of the pot.
Is the Champions League last 16 draw on TV and can I live stream it?
The balls will be drawn live on BT Sport, who are the Champions League broadcasters in the UK.
Fans can also watch the draw on Uefa.com and YouTube for FREE.
What dates are the Champions League round of 16 ties being played?
The eight first legs will be played on February 15, 16, 22 and 23, 2022 with two games on each night.
Second legs will take place on March 8, 9, 15 and 16, 2022, with two ties again being played each night.
Which clubs have qualified so far?

Two pots of eight teams will be created from seeded group winners and runners up.

The pair will clash in a four-round heavyweight bout.

    What has been said?
Jake Paul: “It’s finally official. Timothy had no choice but to sign the contract so he could finally pay his bar tabs, afford a shirt for the club, and stop living off Molly.
“December 18 in Tampa Bay I’m changing this w***er’s name to Tommy Fumbles and celebrating with Tom Brady.
“Pucker up Timmy… it’s time to kiss your last name and your family’s boxing legacy goodbye.”
Tommy Fury: “This is an easy fight for me. A real easy fight. I’ve been doing this job since I was 7.
“He’s not a boxer. He’s gonna see that when we fight.

Steven Gerrardโ€™s emotional Liverpool return will NOT be shown on TV with Aston Villa match not picked by Sky or BT Sport

NEW Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard’s return to Anfield next month will NOT be shown on TV.The Liverpool legend was announced as Dean Smith’s successor on Thursday as he departed Rangers after three years in charge.

And his arrival at Villa Park means he will now have to coach his side against the club he made more than 700 appearances for between 1998 and 2015.
Aston Villa travel to Anfield to take on Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side on December 11.
However, BT Sport and Sky Sports have already selected their Premier League games for December – and Liverpool vs Aston Villa is not one of them.
Instead, the game will take place at 3pm on the Saturday when the UK television blackout is in force.
The matches aired on Sky that weekend will be Brentford vs Watford, Norwich vs Manchester United, Leicester vs Newcastle and Crystal Palace vs Everton.
Meanwhile, BT Sport are showing the early kick off on Saturday between Manchester City and Wolves.

Gerrard has not been back to Anfield as a player or manager since leaving for LA Galaxy six years ago.
The midfielder scored 186 goals for the Merseyside outfit and is widely regarded as one of the club’s greatest ever players.
His crowning moment came in 2005 when he fired the Reds to Champions League glory in Istanbul.
And in December of last year Gerrard confirmed he hopes to be manager of Liverpool in the future.
He said: “Would I love to be the coach of Liverpool one day? Is it a dream? Of course.
“Itโ€™s a club that means everything to me but weโ€™ve one of, if not the best, managers in the world who has been absolutely incredible since he came through the door.
“And the success heโ€™s delivered in the last couple of years means that Liverpool are in a fantastic place. Long may that continue.

“Iโ€™ve still got ex-team-mates playing in the team and thatโ€™s where it is. Thereโ€™s nothing else to really discuss on it.
“Just because I was a good player for Liverpool and had the career I had there, doesnโ€™t necessarily mean youโ€™re next in line to be manager.
“If one day that job ever becomes available, there will be a queue a mile long, full of top-class managers. It doesnโ€™t mean youโ€™re the best person for the job.” More

Cristiano Ronaldo texts Rio Ferdinand to get BT Sportโ€™s footage of his Man Utd goals as pundit opens up on relationship

MANCHESTER UNITED legend Rio Ferdinand has revealed he texts Cristiano Ronaldo ‘most days’. And the evergreen CR7 even messages BT Sport pundit Ferdinand to request footage of his goals.

And the BT Sport pundit has claimed he is still in regular contact with CR7Credit: BT Sport
Most recently the 36-year-old reportedly asked Ferdinand to send him BT’s videos of his two goals against Atalanta in the Champions League.
On the friendship between the former team-mates, Ferdinand, 42, told The Athletic: “We just have a good relationship right now.
“Weโ€™ve always stayed in contact. Sometimes itโ€™s been sporadic and now itโ€™s back to texting most days.”
And Ferdinand has previously revealed CR7 texted him saying he ‘knew’ he would score in the dramatic Champions League victory against Villarreal.
But Ferdinand admitted he was hard on Ronaldo at times as a player after the Portuguese superstar moved to Old Trafford in 2003.
Although the centre-back turned pundit does believe his straight-talking has helped his relationship with Ronaldo to develop.

Ferdinand said: “Iโ€™ve always told him when he wasnโ€™t doing well and Iโ€™ve always told him when heโ€™s brilliant.
“Everyone sees me say how brilliant he is because Iโ€™m on TV and invariably he produces, so you canโ€™t say nothing else.
“But weโ€™ve had our moments, especially at the club when he was a kid, where you would say, โ€˜Youโ€™re doing wrong, come onโ€™.
“Great players, who want to improve, respect that type of stuff.”
Ferdinand and Ronaldo spent seven years as team-mates at Old Trafford, winning three league titles, two league cups and the Champions League together.
And Ferdinand believes Ronaldo’s stunning start back to life at Manchester United means he is back in the running for the Ballon d’Or gong next year.
The five-time winner isn’t currently among the favourites for this year’s award.
But after nine goals in 12 games this season, Ferdinand believes the ageing Ronaldo could yet have another Ballon d’Or left in him.
