It marks Wilder’s return to boxing having taken the year off following his trilogy defeat to WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
The 36-year-old will take on Swedish-Finnish Helenius, 38, and use it as a springboard to take on the top three heavyweights in the future.
Wilder has ambitions of a fourth fight with Fury, as well as meetings with Anthony Joshua and WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight champ Oleksandr Usyk.
All three bouts would add a large chunk of cash to his bank.

Although purses for Saturday’s showdown between Wilder and Helenius are unknown, fans are being charged £67 in the US and £12.99 in the UK.
But how do the two heavyweight’s net worth compare?
    Deontay Wilder – £27million
The Alabama-born heavy hitter is only worth £27million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
This is despite Wilder making a massive £33m in 2020 alone.

That figure includes £360,000-a-year from endorsements and sponsorship.
The most Wilder has taken home from one fight is £25m from his rematch with Fury.
Wilder – who now holds a record of 42-2-1 with 41 knockouts – owns a number of luxurious cars and expensive jewellery.
He plans on focussing on music once he retires from the ring.
Whether that proves to be a massive money-maker for Wilder is yet to be seen.
The American is one of boxing’s highest earners
Deontay Wilder made £33m in 2020 alone
    Robert Helenius – £900,000 to £4million
Helenius has an impressive record in the heavyweight division.
He has taken on the likes of Dillian Whyte, Adam Kownacki and Gerald Washington.
However, the amounts he has taken home from those fights are tiny compared to what Wilder rakes in.
For his rematch against Kownacki, Helenius earned a career-high purse of £67,000.
despite this, the Nordic Nightmare has an estimated net worth between £900,000 and £4m.
The fight with Wilder is expected to be his biggest payday.

Coupled with domestic and international honours, the Gypsy King has almost done it all in the ring.
But the Central Area title is the only missing piece from his collection and it is currently held by respected journeyman Chris Healey, 34.
Fury, 34, said: “I’ve won every single belt in boxing, apart from one belt and that belt is the Central Area heavyweight championship of Britain.
“So, I’m calling out whoever is the Central Area heavyweight champion, I’m calling you out. That’s my belt, I want it, I haven’t got it.

“It’s the only belt I haven’t won and I want it, so I’m coming for whoever you are, come on.”
Healey is a recognisable face among the British boxing circuit, having fought top prospects.
He has shared the ring with Fabio Wardley, 27, and David Adeleye, 25, on Fury’s undercard in April at Wembley.
Later that night, Fury knocked out Dillian Whyte, 34, and announced his retirement from boxing.

Although it was short lived as he prepares to return on December 3 while currently in talks with Derek Chisora, 38.
Fury had wanted to face Oleksandr Usyk, 35, in a unification after the Ukrainian boxing hero beat Anthony Joshua, 32, for the second time.
But Usyk is ruled out until next year having returned to his war-torn home for the first time following a period training away.
That caused Joshua to receive a shock deal to fight Fury, but terms could not be agreed.
Fury then turned his attention to Chisora, who he convincingly beat in 2011 and 2014, with promoter Frank Warren confirming talks are ongoing.

The test was undertaken by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association with the results passed to both boxers and promoters.
But Benn had passed all UK Anti-Doping tests, the group in which the British Boxing Board of Control governs.
It is understood VADA have passed their findings onto UKAD, which the BBBoC confirmed will now be investigated.
A statement read: “Following the British Boxing Board of Control Limited’s decision on 4th October 2022 to prohibit the contest between Chris Eubank Jnr. and COnor BEnn that was scheduled to take place on 8th October 2022, the Board is aware that it has been widely reported in the press that an ‘A’ sample provided by Mr. Benn to the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association tested positive for a prohibited substance.

“UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) has launched an investigation in relation to Mr. Benn and the Board is in communication with UKAD in relation to that investigation.
“The Board will release further details in relation to this matter, when appropriate.”
All parties involved were made aware of the adverse finding on September 23 but the bout was axed only 48 hours before the first bell was due to sound.
Benn, who protested his innocence after the adverse finding was revealed, has kept a well-advised silence bar a few cryptic social media posts.

But promoter Eddie Hearn urged fans to give the unbeaten welterweight and his team time and due process to clear his name.
Hearn said: “It wasn’t kept from anyone, the commission was aware from the get-go and there is information about the testing and the amounts that will come to light.
“You will see from various bits of information that the opponent and the team were willing to move forward with the fight, having seen all of the information.
“We wanted an opportunity for Conor Benn to be heard and have a hearing, he never got that opportunity.
“The board decided not to sanction the fight, we respect that decision, we don’t necessarily think all of the process was right.”

Anthony Joshua says Dillian Whyte was one of two boxers who have ever dragged him into trash talking ahead of a match

ANTHONY JOSHUA revealed only Dillian Whyte and Jarrell Miller have got under his skin as they dragged him into a verbal war ahead of their scheduled bouts. The former WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion knocked out the Body Snatcher in 2015, while his proposed fight to face Big Baby was scrapped in 2020 after the American failed multiple drug tests.
Anthony Joshua has revealed he has engaged in trash talk with only two fighters
After former WBC king Deontay Wilder labelled AJ not a true champion in 2021, Joshua was asked by SI Boxing’s Chris Mannix whether he feels the need to trash talk with boxers.
He said: “Oh yeah, oh yeah. I went into my drawer and pulled out my long list of things to say, I’ve got a lot of things to say about Wilder.
“But you don’t knock a man when he’s down, also. And that was at the top of the list. I have to stand by those principles.
“But for sure, I think me and Wilder, as I say, are cut from a different cloth. He’s what we call… it begins with a ‘b’ and ends with a ‘h’. I’m not like that, I’m more of a man.”
Before adding: “I don’t really get on the internet talking crap. The only times you’ve seen me talking recklessly is against Dillian Whyte and Jarrell Miller.
“Other than that I’m an ambassador of the sport. I’m trying to be clean, representing my sponsorships, represent DAZN properly, I try to stay away from the typical stereotype of a heavyweight boxer.
“It’s difficult but I have it in me to fire up and talk recklessly when needed.”
Joshua was uncharacteristically outspoken in the build-up to his scheduled bout against Miller, as he branded the American as a “b***h” while declaring he pays his mum’s rent.

Speaking at their press conference, he said: “He is a former drug abuser, he hits like a fairy, he is the softest puncher in the division.
“I pay his mum’s rent. He should bow down to me, I am his landlord. The only way he can win is a lucky punch. I am his landlord.
“I am not here trying to play a gangster role, I am here to collect rent. Jarrell Miller is a b***h.”
Prior to his seventh-round stoppage win against Whyte in 2015, Joshua branded his compatriot as ‘irrelevant’ and a ‘hater’.
And in their last press conference, he stated: “He’s just another fighter. My heart don’t beat no fear for him.
“I’ve trained for a 12-round fight, but I think it will go three or four rounds.”

Wilder last stepped into the ring back in October for his trilogy fight against Tyson Fury.
He was brutally dispatched by a huge Fury right-hand in the 11th round of the gruelling heavyweight slugfest.
But he is set to return against Robert Helenius over the weekend – as he looks to bounce back from defeat.
And the fighter, 36, has revealed he was planning to turn to Ayahuasca – a South American psychedelic brew – to help him decide his next steps before his return was finalised.

He told the Byron Scott Podcast back in February: “I’m thinking about doing Ayahuasca.
“That’s gonna be my decision making process… Boxing’s put a bad taste because of what it’s done to me.
“It’s dangerous, politics, cheating… I still have love for the sport though.”
Promoter Eddie Hearn had been talking up the veteran Derek Chisora as a potential opponent should Wilder choose to step back into the ring.

But after linking up with the British celebrity and training alongside him, his opinion has been drastically changed.
Rahman, 31, told iFL TV: “I thought KSI was terrible, I thought he was not very good.
“But I came out here and I’ve seen what he’s working on and how he’s working, man KSI’s work rate is severely underrated, severely underrated.
“And I think if he keeps working hard, by the time he gets to a Jake fight, I just think he wins.
“I think his engine is a lot better than the engine Jake has.Jake fights at a slow pace – I mean Jake’s fights put me to sleep – he’s incredibly boring.

“On the contrary KSI, he fights at a fast pace, a high level, he’s always bringing it.
“He fights with more passion than what Jake fight with and I give him the edge to him.”
Rahman signed to fight Paul, 25, on late notice in August after Tommy Fury, 23, was pulled out of his grudge match due to a visa issue.
But a weight disagreement forced the bout to be axed with just a week to go, as Paul now prepares to fight UFC icon Anderson Silva, 47, next.

Rahman has since signed with KSI’s manager Mams Taylor and returns on November 19 against ex-UFC champion Vitor Belfort, 45.

And he will have the help of Rahman if he does get a deal over the line with his arch nemesis.
Rahman said: “If they fight, I’m going to be there 100 per cent of the way, giving him any pointers I can give him, letting him know anything I see. Just taking care of business.”

Anthony Joshua managed Shannon Ryan ’emotional’ ahead of O2 Arena fight having sold phones for the company as day job

SHANNON RYAN used to sell phones for O2 – now she will be fighting under lights of the company’s glittering London arena. ‘Kaos’ Ryan admits she feels “emotional” looking back on her meteoric rise from O2 assistant manager in the Watford branch to professional boxer.
Former O2 worker Shannon Ryan takes part in her third pro fight on Saturday
Ryan is signed for Anthony Joshua’s 258 Management agency
The Watford-born 25-year-old used to juggle her part-time job with gruelling boxing training.
But selling sim-only phone deals isn’t normally what boxers do in the build up to the blood and thunder of a professional fight.
She then switched to training full-time ahead of her second pro fight against fellow Brit Gemma Ruegg in June.
But she still never quite imagined she would be helping to make history on the undercard of Claressa Shields and Savannah Marshall’s main event fight at The O2 this Saturday as part of the UK’s first all-female card.

She said: “I go back into the shop which is nice. Some of the colleagues will be watching on Saturday.
“It’s also incredible just to see the journey.
“And video went out recently looking back at the whole five years of the process of where I am today today.
“When I look back on it it’s emotional because I remember the days when I was working and wanting to be where I am now and now I am.”

Ryan is scheduled to face Spain’s Bucha El Quassi in what will mark the Brit super-flyweight’s third pro bout following points victories over Claudia Ferenczi and Ruegg earlier this year.
She started out at Barnet’s Finchley ABC gym in barnet where Anthony Joshua’s journey to stardom began and it was from there he took her under his wing.
Ryan has since signed for Joshua’s 258 Management agency and bagged a major sponsorship deal with O2.
She added: “It just goes to show that when you do put your mind to something you can achieve anything with the support and the help that you’ve got around you.” More
