Floyd Mayweather officially in talks to rematch Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas with boxing legendโ€™s pro record on the line

FLOYD MAYWEATHER is officially in talks to rematch Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas next year with his record on the line, it has been revealed. The American in 2015 beat Pacquiao over 12 rounds following a half decade wait for the pair of superstar rivals to agree terms.

But eight years on and the boxing legends are set to renew their rivalry for a sequel following their ยฃ500MILLION blockbuster original.
Global Titans, who are promoting Mayweather’s next exhibition bout in Dubai, are leading the talks between the two sets of camps.
Their CEO Uday Singh told SunSport: “We’re working on Floyd and Manny Pacquaio already.
“And the announcement could be made as early as December for a big bout next year for Floyd and Manny Pacquiao. A rematch, not an exhibition.”

Mayweather, 45, retired in 2017 after beating ex-UFC champion Conor McGregor, 34, but has had four exhibition bouts since.
And he has always talked down returning to put his perfect 50-0 record on the line, especially against Pacquiao, 43.
But after Singh met with him in Vegas, ahead of his exhibition with YouTuber Deji on November 13, Mayweather’s mind was changed.
Singh revealed: “I’ve already had the first meeting with Manny Pacquiao, because at first he was not keen either.

“It’s just egos, nothing else. But at the end of the day, Floyd’s a good guy, he’s a good fighter.
“Once you’ve satisfied him with his purse, he’s happy to fight whoever. But it’s to his interest as well, he said, ‘Why not? Let’s do it.’
“He hasn’t had a real proper fight since 2017, the last one was with Conor McGregor.”
Singh admitted he initially faced a fight to get Mayweather to agree to a pro bout opposed to an exhibition, but won him over eventually.
He said: “Yeah, it was hard. But then again, at the end of the day he knows what people want and he’s an entertainer.

“He knows he’s got three to four years left of his career as and when he wants to retire, so he agreed to it eventually.
“Then we went out and spoke to Manny Pacquiao’s team and they said, ‘Yep, it’s fine. Manny Pacquiao is ready.’
“Now we’re negotiating numbers and all of that.”
After Mayweather’s exhibition with Deji, 25, at the Coca-Cola Arena, he is set to fight once more in the Middle East with Global Titans.
And then it will be all eyes on a rematch with Pacquiao back in Sin City.

Singh added: “It will be in Las Vegas, either in the summer of 2023 or the Autumn, around September or October.
“We’re looking at the summer, around July or August. But first, he’ll fight with us in Saudi Arabia in February or Match.”

And the WBC champion is looking in tremendous shape as he showed off his abs in a post-workout video on Instagram on Tuesday.
Fury could be seen wearing just his boxers as he updated fans on how his training is going.

In the clip, the unbeaten heavyweight said: “Just finished work hard Wednesday.
“Getting there, getting in shape, getting as solid as a rock.

“Working hard every day, cannot wait for December the 3rd. Come on, bring it on, let’s end this year with a big bang.”
Fury has battled with his weight throughout his career, famously losing 10 stone for his comeback in 2018.
And he even poked fun at his own body shape ahead of his clash with Dillian Whyte in April – a bout he won by sixth-round knockout.
In the pre-fight press conference, Fury said: “I’ve been the underdog my whole life, look at me!

“I’m still the underdog. Look at me! I’m as fat as anything. But the old fat boy can fight.”
Fury will be the overwhelming favourite heading into a clash with Chisora given how their previous fights ended.
Back in 2011, Fury outboxed Del Boy and beat him comfortably by unanimous decision.
Then, when the pair met for a rematch in 2014, Fury produced a punch-perfect display and forced Chisora to retire on his stool at the end of the 10th round. More

And Iron Mike has now confessed he had turned up for the flight from San Francisco to Miami straight after being in the midst of 60,000 people smoking cannabis.
Videos on social media at the time showed Townsend appearing to goad Tyson before the melee, and it was also claimed he threw a water bottle at Tyson.
Speaking about the incident, Tyson told Piers Morgan Uncensored he couldn’t take any more after being provoked by Townsend.
He said: “First of all, I came from this place called Hippie Hill, 60,000 people were there smoking cannabis.

“So by the time I’m on the plane, Iโ€™m hungry, high and tired, OK? And this guy keeps antagonising me.
“And then I came to my senses and kicked his f***king ass.
“Iโ€™m only joking. I wish I did kick his a**. My bodyguard jumped on top of him.”
Former world heavyweight champion Tyson revealed he can’t “play like that anymore” because his wife, Lakiha Spicer, is worried he’s going to get “cancelled”.

The pair got married in 2009, and Iron Mike admitted Spicer, 45, does her best to keep him under control.
Speaking on people antagonising him, Tyson said: “[There are] quite a few but Iโ€™ve only had to put my hands on one.
“Listen, I canโ€™t play like that anymore or my wife gets mad. She doesnโ€™t like my sense of humour. She thinks Iโ€™m going to get cancelled or some s**t.”
And Tyson confessed being around his wife means he keeps out of trouble… for the most part.
He continued: “I think she thinks she keeps me out of trouble. Iโ€™m always with her, so thatโ€™s why Iโ€™m not in trouble.”
When asked if he’d dish out more punishment if his wife wasn’t around, Tyson said: “No, I donโ€™t believe in that. My wife always says to be nice when I go outside, so I would take that advice and be nice.”

The 36-year-old is now ready to negotiate a super-fight at Wembley next year against Anthony Joshua.
But Ruiz, who won and then lost the WBA (Super),ย IBF,ย WBO, andย IBOย titles to AJ in 2019, has also declared his desire to face the KO artist Wilder.
Wilderโ€™s stunning win over Helenius was a WBC eliminator and now sets him up to face Ruiz, 33,ย for the mandatory challenger spot to Tyson Fury.
That is after the Mexicanโ€™s victory via unanimous decision over 43-year-old Ortiz in September.

The two are both signed to Al Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions stable, making negotiations for the showdown that much easier.
However, Ortiz has predicted that Ruiz could suffer much more than just defeat if he faces Wilder.
He told Blue Blood Boxing TV: โ€œHeโ€™ll kill Andy Ruiz.โ€
Wilder has also suggested that he hopes to bypass Ruiz in order to face WBA, WBO, and IBF champ Oleksandr Usyk.

Ortiz also believes that his would be the best route for the ex-WBC king โ€“ and that Ruiz needs to get back in the ring with him first before even thinking about battling anyone else.
He said: โ€œAndy Ruiz needs to give me the rematch. Give me the rematch.โ€
Following his comeback win, Wilder said: โ€œIโ€™m down for whatever, whether itโ€™s Andy Ruiz, or Usyk or whoever. Lets bring it on.
โ€œDeontay Wilder is back. The excitement in the heavyweight division is back. Thereโ€™s no heavyweight division without Deontay Wilder.โ€ More

Tyson Fury to fight Derek Chisora on December 3 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in trilogy clash for world titles

TOTTENHAM Hotspur Stadium has been selected as the venue for Tyson Fury’s trilogy bout with Derek Chisora on December 3.The Gypsy King will again fight on home soil, having defeated Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium back in April.

Fury vs Chisora 3 will be the second boxing event to take place at Tottenham’s shiny ยฃ1bn stadium.
The 62,850-seater arena was the setting for Anthony Joshua’s first defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in September 2021.
Booking the fight at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium means that it will take place outdoors – despite potentially freezing December conditions.
The ring will be under cover, but fans seated on the pitch could be open to the elements.

When Frank Bruno fought Joe Bugner at the old White Hart Lane in October 1987, fighters wrapped themselves in blankets between rounds.
Not too many fans will be bowled over by Fury’s opponent, considering how comfortably the Gypsy King won his first two clashes with Chisora.
But after Joshua refused the fight and Usyk ruled himself out with injury, the 6ft 9in Morecambe giant was short of options.
Fury had the Cardiff stadium booked for December 3 – in the hope of luring AJ into the biggest fight in British boxing history.

But plans were rearranged to North London once Finchley slugger Chisora became the frontrunner for a crack at the famous green and gold belt.
And hall-of-fame promoter Frank Warren explained how he could not let his golden boy get rusty, after going eight months since a sensational knockout win over Whyte.
โ€œHeโ€™s got to fight this year,โ€ the Queensberry boss said.ย  โ€œWeโ€™ve tried to make two significant fights (Joshua and Usyk) and theyโ€™ve both fallen through. Nothing to do with Tyson, nothing to do with us, so this is where we are now.
โ€œHe canโ€™t have one fight in a year, he last fought in April, which will mean it will be a year out the ring more or less by the time this fight comes around with Usyk.
Derek will give a good account of himself but I donโ€™t think anybody out there can beat Tyson FuryFrank Warren
โ€œHe needs to fight and he will fight, weโ€™ve said that from day one.
“Derek will give a good account of himself but I donโ€™t think anybody out there can beat Tyson Fury.โ€
Despite twice comfortably seeing off Chisora earlier in his career, Fury insists that Del Boy is “every bit as dangerous” as Usyk.
Before the fight was announced, the Gypsy King told toldย Secondsout: โ€œIn my opinion Chisora at least got a draw with Oleksandr Usyk, so I see Chisora as every bit as dangerous as Usyk โ€“ if it is Chisora.
โ€œI thought Chisora deserved a draw at minimum. Chisora is no pushover. If youโ€™re not on your A-game, Derek will beat you.
โ€œThereโ€™s a few southpaws that Iโ€™m looking at, which would obviously help.”
Prior to his fights with Joshua, Usyk beat Chisora via unanimous decision.
The judges scored the bout 115-113, 115-113, and 117-111 in the Ukrainian’s favour.
