I’m Jake Paul’s sparring partner and he already has one advantage over Tommy Fury, he better be taking the fight serious

JAKE PAUL’S sparring partner Kalvin Henderson believes Tommy Fury has already been dealt one defeat ahead of their grudge match. The pair of celebrity boxing rivals have rescheduled their pay-per-vie fight for Sunday in Saudi Arabia.

Helping Paul prepare for the fight – just 400 miles away in Dubai – is super-middleweight contender Henderson.
He spent three weeks in camp with the YouTuber-turned unbeaten boxer and was left impressed with what he experienced in the ring.
But it is Paul’s work outside the ropes that he believes has given him an early edge against 8-0 Fury.
Henderson, 32, told SunSport: “I think he has won – so far at least – the mind games over Tommy.

“I think Tommy will approach this fight with a different mindset and now the fight is actually real and Jake is actually training for this guy, I think Tommy is re-thinking some things.
“I think Jake has won the mind control fight over Tommy, but they have a great game plan for Tommy.
“I’m really hoping Tommy is in the gym taking it seriously and really getting in shape because Jake is locked in.”
Henderson was one of a pack of paid sparring partners, helping punch Paul into top shape for the box office bout.

And he revealed the 6-0 social media sensation gave as good as he got in the practise rounds.
Henderson said: “The first couple of times I was kind of downloading information on what he’s good at, what he’s not good at. What he likes doing, how’s his power, how’s his speed.
“I was gaining information, but the second week we sparred, I turned it up. I pushed the envelope and started unleashing some of my weapons.
“But, to Jake’s credit he came out every round ready to work again, he responded  very well and what impressed me most is he continued to make adjustments.
“Even in the later rounds in sparring, usually I turn it up around round three or four and guys kind of go into what I call survival mode to try and make it through the rounds.
“But it was cool to see Jake address every round like it was a new round, ready to get to work, making adjustments.

“Of course, we didn’t go in there to try and kill him, he’s got a fight coming up and if I get kicked out of camp, that’s my money also gone too!
“I was never hurting Jake, we picked and choosed when to turn it up, when to hit and move, but he’s made major improvements, especially for a guy who’s only been boxing three years.”
Paul, 26, is finally set to fight Fury, 23, who has twice pulled out in the past amid injury and US visa issues.
And Henderson warned the fight will be decided on how Fury approaches it tactically – with Paul equally as capable of winning by KO or the cards.
He said: “It really depends how Tommy comes in. If Tommy wants to move his feet and run all around the ring, it might go all eight rounds.
“But if Tommy comes in and wants to press and engage, he might get caught early and go to sleep. It really depends on what Tommy shows up that night.

“But I know Jake is going to come ready. That’s what I like about it too, like I said, their game plan they’re hammering it in week after week, om the bag, on the pads, in sparring.
“They’re ready to go. I’m sure they’re ready to go now, but February 26th they’ll be ready to go for sure.”

Paul told BT Sport: “I’m gonna knock him the f*** out.
“I’m going for a knockout of the year candidate. I won it once before and I want to win it again.
“You’re going to see his girlfriend cry, she’s ringside, once I knock him the f*** out and he’s unconscious.”

But they hope it will be third time lucky with a pay-per-view blockbuster looming in the Middle East.
The grudge match comes just a month after Fury and Molly-Mae welcomed baby daughter Bambi into the world.
And again Paul could not help but resist a dig as he argued money is the only motivation for his rival.
He said: “I don’t know if he really believes in himself, the money is just really good, man.

“He’s kinda been forced into this by his fans, the media, his family and probably Molly.
“Because she’s probably sitting there going, ‘Hey yo, we had a baby, I can’t be the one to pay the bills the entire time.
“He’s getting paid 20k a fight, minus taxes he can only pay for so many diapers. It’s a hard business.
“This is his biggest payday and he’s going to be actually able to support his family a little bit if he gets a good wealth manager and invests his money properly.
“But Molly was probably like, ‘Yeah , bro. I’m tired of being the bread winner in this relationship.'”

‘He’s not ready for that’ – Jake Paul warned against world title challenge by Badou Jack despite boxing for WBC ranking

BADOU JACK has warned Jake Paul against fighting for shock world honours – even if he wins the right to.Paul faces Tommy Fury in their rescheduled grudge match on Sunday in Saudi Arabia.

And the victor will earn themselves a WBC cruiserweight world ranking – anywhere from the top 40-15 – depending on the performance.
Any the top 15 fighter is eligible to contend for a championship, meaning should Paul win in convincing enough style, it paves the way for a title shot.
And Jack happens to be challenging champion Ilunga Makabu for the very belt that the YouTuber-turned boxer could be ranked for.
But the two-division king – seeking a title in his third weight – urged Paul against aiming at the top just yet.

Jack, 39, told SunSport: “Come on, it’s different levels. I think he’ll get ranked in the top 50, I don’t think he’ll get ranked to fight for a title.
“It would take years for that and obviously he’s not ready for that. The WBC, they’re thinking smart with business minds.
“He’ll generate money and that’s what it’s all about, but of course, he can’t fight for the title right now.
“He hasn’t even fought him yet, but he would’ve fought only one boxer. It takes time.”

Jack conducted his training camp in Dubai, just 400 miles away from Saudi.
And so did Paul, with the pair bumping into each other and even sharing ice cold recovery baths together.
Jack revealed: “It looks like he’s training hard.
“This is the hurt business, so you’ve got to train hard but now he’s finally fighting a real boxer, so it looks like he’s ready for it.”
Paul, 26, is at last set to meet Fury, 23, in the ring after his rival twice pulled out in the past, amid injury and visa issues.
And it will be the first opponent he had faced with a recognised boxing record.
That despite wins over ex-MMA champions Ben Askren, 38, Tyron Woodley, 38, and Anderson Silva, 47.
Some boxing purists took aim at the celebrity boxing pair headlining over Jack and Makabu, 35.
But the Swedish legend claimed he is the people’s main event regardless.
Come on, it’s different levels. I think he’ll get ranked in the top 50, I don’t think he’ll get ranked to fight for a title.Badou Jack on Jake Paul fighting for a world title
Jack said: “I’m the real main event anyway. People who know boxing know that.
“But no, I’m not mad. I’m just happy for this opportunity and you can look at it like, maybe we get some new fans from their audience.
“It’s a new era of boxing, the social media era and I’m just thankful to Prince Khalid and Saudi Arabia for helping me get this fight.
“Now it’s up to me to prove that I’m the best.”
Jack has featured in some of the biggest events in boxing history, including undercard spots on Floyd Mayweather and Anthony Joshua’s fights.
Last August, when Joshua, 33, was beaten in a rematch against Oleksandr Usyk, 36, Jack narrowly edged past Richard Rivera, 32.
But he is motivated to leave no doubt in his second trip to Saudi, with the stakes raised as he attempts to become a three-division champ.
Jack said: “It’s for my legacy, a lot of great fighters moved up in weight and became champions in different weight classes.
“I’m tall, I have the reach so why not? I’m excited. I’m still hungry, I take care of my body and I still feel young.

    Round 3: Famous brothers
Jake’s older brother Logan went into boxing, but wasn’t as successful as his younger sibling.

Tommy’s older brother Tyson Fury needs no introduction.
Of course, the Gypsy King is the best boxer on the planet right now and the biggest celebrity out of them all.
    Scorecard: Paul 9-10 Fury
Tyson Fury is the most famous of the brothers
    Round 4: Novelty clobber
Paul loves to embrace fashion – and seemingly fell in love with Gucci’s Mickey Mouse range – wearing their £600 shirt and sporting their £1,000 bag.

    All are adorable.

Although Tommy and Molly had a lot of their jewellery nabbed by thieves, he still boasts a Rolex Submariner worth around £45,000.
Paul drapes himself in diamonds and loves wearing expensive items.
Quite brilliantly, he once had an £80,000 pendant made that featured a diamond-encrusted Conor McGregor in a sleepy pose following his defeat to Dustin Poirier.
Brilliantly, Paul sent it to Poirier as a present.

Seemingly, TNT is naturally ripped – although in 2020 Molly-Mae poked fun at him for growing a belly. A the same time, he revealed he didn’t care about having a six-pack.
Paul, on the other hand, has undergone a series of body transformations.
