Asked on where he stands going into the big fight, Hearn laid into Tommy’s CV… despite backing him to win.
Chatting to Boxing Social, Hearn said: “You have to remember, it’s out in Saudi Arabia. I know there’s a lot of noise online, but it’s not like you’re at the 02, or Wembley Stadium, or…
“But he’s got his brother around him, his dad – they’ve been around boxing for many years.
“At the end of the day, however good Tommy Fury is… it’s a fight, he’s been there before.

“He hasn’t boxed anyone better as a pro than Jake Paul which is quite embarrassing.
“But he has sparred better, and probably fought better opponents in the amateurs than Jake Paul.”
Asked if Anderson Silva is a better win than any on Fury’s record, Hearn replied: “Tommy’s resume is awful. Awful. So bad.”
He then continued: “Probably the worst 8-0 resume I’ve ever seen. Terrible.

“But, by the way, he’s won every fight easy. So it’s not like he’s struggled against anyone. But genuinely, the level of opposition, they’re honestly so bad.
“Jake Paul has a better boxing resume than Tommy Fury, which is disgusting.
“But I just feel that if Tommy Fury let’s his hands go and goes in there and boxes neat and smart, he’ll stop him.”
Paul has beaten former MMA stars Silva, Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren – as well as ex-NBA player Nate Robinson and YouTuber AnEsonGib.
Fury, meanwhile, beat Daniel Bocianski last time out and Anthony Taylor in his prior bout.
After initially picking Paul to beat Fury, Hearn has completely changed his tune.
I think Jake Paul has absolutely no chance to win this fightEddie Hearn
Explaining himself to Boxing Social, he said: “I have had a total U-turn on this fight. I thought Jake Paul was going to win this fight.
“I think Jake Paul has absolutely no chance to win this fight at all.”
He then added: “If Tommy Fury comes out aggressively and puts it on Jake Paul, this fight will not go two rounds.
“This is a massive U-turn for me because both are limited. But Tommy Fury as limited as he is as a professional boxer, has been boxing for ten, 12 years, maybe more.

Molly-Mae should definitely not watch me fight Tommy Fury… it’ll end in tears, says Jake Paul ahead of bitter bout

JAKE PAUL has brutally warned Molly-Mae Hague not to watch his fight with Tommy Fury – or it will end in tears. The American star will end over two years of feuding his Brit rival in a grudge match on Sunday in Saudi Arabia.

Fury is joined in the Middle East by his whole entourage, including dad John and heavyweight champion brother Tyson.
But one noticeable absentee so far has been girlfriend Molly-Mae, who is at home in Manchester with new-born baby daughter Bambi.
It remains to be seen if she will make the 4,000 mile trip over in person or tune in on pay-per-view – but Paul suggests doing neither.
He told SunSport in Riyadh: “She’s going to cry, no one wants to see that. She shouldn’t watch the fight, definitely not.”

Paul has beaten ex-MMA champions in Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, and most recently UFC great Anderson Silva.
But never has he faced an opponent with prior professional boxing experience, with Fury, 23, marking his first.

The YouTuber believes the step up in competition, and an emphatic enough win, will finally bring the respect he feels is owed.
Paul, 26, said: “I know I’m going to win but my goal is to knock him out and I know I’m capable of that if I excuse my game plan properly.

“So I think knocking out the professional boxer in a cold, decisive, crazy way like I knock people out, that will get the respect.
“If it’s just a win, I think people will admit I can really box but it won’t be the full level of respect that I think I deserve. I have to earn it though on Sunday.”
Paul has been dismissed so much Fury has agreed to RETIRE from boxing and give up his purse if he loses.

But the prankster-turned-prizefighter expects to leave his rival with no other choice but to respect him – like has been the case for all his fights.
Paul said: “After I knock him out I hope he realises that I’m just a really good fighter.
“I think that’s what all my other opponents realised, they feel less bad about it the more people I beat. He shouldn’t feel bad.
“I’ve put Anderson Silva down, I’ve put Woodley down, I’m going to put him down. It’s not that big of a deal when you look at it like that.”

Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk at risk of collapsing with three opponents in line to fight Gypsy King

TYSON FURY vs Oleksandr Usyk for the heavyweight undisputed decider is in danger because of the WBC Gypsy King’s money demands.Saudi Arabia were willing to pay both men silly money to decide the finest heavyweight on earth – but were insistent on a 50-50 split.

It comes due to Fury’s money demandsCredit: Reuters
Usyk, the 36-year-old Ukraine icon who won Olympic gold before cleaning out the cruiserweight division before moving up to defeat Anthony Joshua twice for the WBA, IBF and WBO belts, signed his side of the contract.
But Fury was unhappy with having to split the huge pot equally and backed away from the deal.
The 34-year-old Brit can now command a bigger split of a smaller purse – of a Wembley showdown that is targeted for April 29 as the local fighter attracting most of the crowd.
But the longer the negotiations drag on – having started in August – the more fans fear the undisputed decider will collapse and Fury will defend against another challenger.

Usyk will also soon have a string of mandatory challenges to juggle as the holder of three belts.
And dad John – out in Riyadh with his world champ son to support sibling Tommy in his bout with Jake Paul – has confirmed it’s all coming down to cash.
He told IDBoxing: “Treat Tyson as the great champion he is. Usyk is not Tyson’s equal.
“Fall in line and you’ll get the fight done.

“Tyson’s A-side and Usyk is not worthy of 50/50, he couldn’t sell the O2 Arena out.”
If the fight collapses, Fury could face one of three potential opponents.
The first of these is Deontay Wilder, who is the number one ranked WBC boxer.
Next is Andy Ruiz Jr. who is the rank below Wilder.
The final option on the table is Joe Joyce, who would be the easiest fight to make due to him being promoted by Frank Warren More

Tommy Fury wouldn’t be where he is without older brother Tyson or Love Island, slams fellow reality TV star Idris Virgo

IDRIS VIRGO has accused Tommy Fury of succeeding in boxing only because of his world champion brother and Love Island stint. Fury turned pro in 2018 with much fanfare due to the career of his big brother Tyson, now the unbeaten WBC heavyweight king.

And his popularity was only heightened the following summer as he came runner up in the hit reality TV series Love Island with his girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague.
As a result, 23-year-old Fury is in-demand and is gearing up for the biggest fight of his career against Jake Paul on Sunday in Saudi Arabia.
But his promised dedication to the sport has not convinced fellow Love Island alumni Virgo – who spent time in the villa a year beforehand.
Virgo, 29, told SunSport in 2021: “It’s all for the press and all for the camera. I don’t believe Tommy Fury actually wants to box. He does not wanna box.
“I believe Tommy Fury will get found out. And if he can get found out by me, I’ll be there saying ‘I’ll told you so’.
“I don’t think he really wants to do it to be honest, I don’t think his heart is really in it.
“He’s got all it needs to be a decent boxer but he hasn’t got the dedication, no way. I’ve never met the guy but even if I did I’d say it to his face.
“He’s not even worth watching, that’s my personal opinion.

“If Love Island wasn’t there and he didn’t have his brother, he wouldn’t be where he is now.
“I think because of the Fury name he is trying to follow his brother. I don’t think he’ll go far, that’s my personal opinion.”
Virgo, from Birmingham, came into Love Island having won his first two pro bouts, but boxed as an amateur and on the White Collar scene.
Since making his name on the ITV series, he also enjoyed screen time on MTV’s ‘The Challenge’ filmed in America.
It caught the eye of promoter Mick Hennessy, who signed Virgo this summer.
The super-middleweight also once went viral and was hailed for a perfectly timed body shot knockout against Josh Hodgins.
But Virgo became public enemy No1 soon after, when he threw water in the face of his journeyman opponent Scott Williams.

The contrasting headlines proved a lesson in how quickly credit can be lost and perception drastically changed.
But Virgo refuses to apologise for the lack of respect he showed pre-fight, insisting he is in the business of entertainment and brutality.
He explained: “It’s just how I am. You’ll hate me but at the end of the day you’ll watch me.
“I hate every fighter who steps in the ring with me. There’s no love – I’ve been in Love Island but in the ring there is no love.
“Doesn’t matter whoever you are, I don’t want to be shaking your hand, I don’t want to be joking with you, you’re the enemy going into that fight.
“And, if you’re sound, I might give you a pat on the back and praise you – other than that I hate you.
“It’s just the mindset I have, before it was different but now it’s totally different. I’ve trained my mind to be a killer.

‘I don’t care what he says’ – Jake Paul’s coach says Tommy Fury is no puncher and slams claims of breaking jaws in gym

His opposite number – Fury’s dad John – claimed his son was knocking out sparring partners and hospitalising them with snapped jaws.
But Flores – an ex-cruiserweight world title challenger – insisted talk is cheap.
He told SunSport in Riyadh: “Tommy’s going to come out and jab. Shoot his punches down the middle and try to use his jab to keep Jake off him.
“But I don’t care what he says in the media or the press about, ‘I’m coming to knock Jake out,’ or breaking sparring partners’ jaws.

“He’s just not a puncher, I don’t care what he says. He’s going to come out, try and do what he’s always done and that’s try and box.
“But once he gets hits, he’s gonna go back to moving, backing up, backing up and he’s going to have to find a way to keep Jake off him.”
Fury, 23, is also joined by his heavyweight champion brother Tyson, 34, in the Middle East.
But Flores warned the support counts for nothing once the first bell rings.

He said: “Tommy’s got good hand speed, he’s in good shape, he comes from a fighting bloodline.
“Look, the Fury name is legit. Tyson’s the best heavyweight in the world, he’s a great, great fighter but unfortunately for Tommy, they’re not the same.
“Tyson can’t fight for Tommy, John can’t fight for Tommy, so Tommy has to go in there and fight Jake all by himself and he’s in trouble.
“He’s going to see first-hand on Sunday that this ‘YouTube boxer’ is no joke.”
Fury has twice pulled out of fighting Paul before, firstly in December 2021 due to injury and then last August following US visa issues.
YouTuber-turned boxer Paul is now 6-0, after adding two wins over ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley and victory against Anderson Silva.

Flores added that the introduction of his old trainer Danny Smith has accelerated Paul’s skills to new heights.
He said: “Jake’s really, really stepped it up. Big credit to Danny Smith coming into camp.
“Danny was my trainer when I was a professional boxer, one of the best boxing minds that I know.
“We brought him into camp last October, about a year and a half ago, and Jake’s come on leaps and bounds.
“He’s improving at such a fast rate, he’s got so much better over the last year and a half, it’s incredible.

Floyd Mayweather vs Aaron Chalmers fight rules: How many rounds is it and can you win by knockout?

But he has since returned for five exhibitions across the globe, boxing in Asia, USA, the Middle East and now Britain.
And welcoming him across the pond is Geordie Shore TV star-turned fighter Chalmers.
Ahead of the exhibition bout on Saturday night at the O2 Arena, SunSport runs down the rules.
    How many rounds?
The bout is scheduled for eight rounds of two minutes.
    READ MORE IN BOXING
Mayweather’s exhibitions have varied over the years, his last one against YouTuber Deji in Dubai was six two-minute rounds.
But for his KO wins in Japan, against martial arts pair Tenshin Nasukawa and Mikuru Asakura, four rounds over three minutes were scheduled.
The longest he has gone since retirement was against YouTuber Logan Paul, 27, in June 2021.
That went the full eight, three minute rounds, as Paul used his TWO STONE weight advanatage to take Mayweather the distance.

Last May, the Hall of Famer’s ex-sparring partner Don Moore also went eight rounds in Abu Dhabi, but over two minutes.

    Can you win by KO?
Yes, knockouts will be permitted as has been the case with all of Mayweather’s exhibitions.
Kickboxer Nasukawa, 24, and MMA’s Asakura, 30, learned that the hard way, both being counted out.
Deji, 26, was also stopped but did so conscious and on his feet, meanwhile, Paul and Moore both heard the final bell.
Chalmers, 35, has vowed to risk taking one to give one in order to land an almighty upset against Mayweather, 46.
He told SunSport: “I will be wanting to get my shots off, so the answer to that is yeah, I will be taking risks.
“Just hopefully not too many risks where I’m going to get clipped on the end of the chin.”
