Joe Joyce desperate for Tyson Fury to fight Oleksandr Usyk so he can take on winner for all the belts

JOE JOYCE hopes Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk happens so he can fight the winner and leave damaged Daniel Dubois out of the firing line. The 37-year-old Putney Juggernaut is as frustrated as any other boxing fan at the ongoing negotiations between Ukraine’s WBA, IBF and WBO champ and the goal-post moving WBC Gypsy King.

If the undisputed decider happens on April 29 then the Olympic silver medalist – who lost to Usyk as a novice amateur – would be high in the queue to face the winner thanks to his WBO mandatory position.
But 25-year-old Daniel Dubois is ahead of him chronologically as the WBA need to have their mandatory first – even though Joyce handily beat his fellow Londoner in a 2020 clash.
Ahead of his April 15 battle with Chinese giant Zhilei Zhang, Joyce told SunSport: “I hope it gets done because it should keep things straight forward.
“In theory, Fury and Usyk will fight, I will beat Zhang and fight the winner.

“I have always got on well with Fury, sparred him a couple of times and he has always spoken well about me so I hope to fight them both at some stage.
“It would just be better to fight one of them for all of the belts.
“I know the WBA is the next mandatory to be called – and that’s Dubois – but I don’t think he is ready.
“I saw his last fight at Tottenham stadium where he was almost knocked out so he would get slapped up by Usyk or Fury!”

Fury has continued to move the goalposts for his historic showdown with Usyk.
And the Ukranian’s team are doubtful the fight will come to fruition.
Promoter Alexander Krassuyk told talkSPORT: “As Usyk said, the greedy belly is still hoping to find a way to pull out.
“We knew before and know it now.
“As soon as Usyk accepts a no rematch clause there will still be searching for another thing to find and pull out the fight.
“I tell you why. He bluffed and Usyk called his bluff. This is 100 per cent. He didn’t expect Usyk to accept 70/30.

“It’s all about nothing. He’s not prepared and scared to fight.
“He will try to find a way to avoid Usyk for as long as possible.
“We don’t trust him, we don’t believe him.

Paul, 27, took Mayweather, 46, the distance and was due to return to boxing in January.
He was in talks to face 2-0 MMA fighter and online rival Dillon Danis, 29, until a knee injury starring in the WWE ruled him out.
Well now Paul – while on his podcast with Dave Portnoy – revealed his next fight is set in stone.
He said: “I’ve got a new opponent. Not said yet. I’ll tell you and we’ll bleep it.”

Kell Brook demands Conor Benn release FULL sparring session as boxing rivals feud amid rumours of grudge fight

KELL BROOK has demanded Conor Benn release their full sparring session as they feuded online amid speculation of a fight. Brook is back in training as the former welterweight world champion considers a comeback.
Kell Brook and Conor Benn after a sparring session
The Sheffield man was in talks to face Benn right after defeating Amir Khan in February 2022, which sparked his retirement soon after.
Brook was captured in sparring gear hitting a heavy bag in the famous Wincobank gym in Sheffield.
Sparking an online row, Benn, 26, commented: “Last time we tried to make the fight he chose retirement instead.
“Must have been that sparring session…”

Brook, 36, responded: “Who are you kidding you’re the one who cut the sparring short don’t flatter yourself p***y.”
Benn replied: “Stop talking s***. You know the footage begs to differ!”
And Brook hit back: “Put it out then let’s see it and don’t just put snippets on we want it all babi.”
The ex-IBF champ announced his retirement after beating long-time nemesis Khan, 36, ending almost two decades of rivalry.

But Brook has considered a return ever since and is now back training.
Benn meanwhile is set to return in June following a doping scandal that has kept him out of the ring and fighting for his reputation.
He tested twice for female fertility drug clomifene in the build-up to his catchweight contest with Chris Eubank Jr, 33, which was later axed.
The British Boxing Board of Control cancelled the bout and have since been embroiled in a spat with Benn, who is without a license.
Welterweight Benn provided a 270-page document to the WBC, who work with Voluntary Anti-Doping Association.
The WBC found “no conclusive evidence” that the boxer intentionally cheated and placed him back in the rankings.
Benn as a result is able to box abroad if he is licensed and is currently in talks to fight Manny Pacquiao, 44, in Abu Dhabi.

But Paul has insisted UFC legend Anderson Silva was tougher than Fury, who he admitted was a good combination puncher.
On his brother Logan’s podcast, he said: “That is what is p***ing me off the most, that it had nothing to do with him it had everything to do with me.
“He wasn’t that great, at all, I think Anderson was tougher than him, and I figured out that puzzle. He threw a lot of punches, that’s his biggest thing.”
Paul, 26, defeated Silva, 47, in October in his last fight before the celebrity grudge match.

But Fury, 23, was the first recognised boxer the YouTuber-turned prizefighter had faced in his seven-bout career.

Tyson Fury’s change of style will play into Oleksandr Usyk’s hands and I think he will LOSE fight, says Tony Bellew

Fury, 34, comes into the bout having won his last four by knockout under the guidance of trainer Sugarhill Steward.
But Bellew – who was knocked out by Usyk in 2018 – has claimed the Gypsy King’s aggression will lead him to his first loss.
He told talkSPORT: “Tyson Fury’s style has changed over these last few years, ever since he went under the tutelage of SugarHill of the Kronk.
“His style has completely changed, he’s no longer this big awkward fighter, who uses his elusiveness as an advantage.

“He is now someone who is an aggressive counter-puncher, he looks to hurt fighters and get rid of them.
“That change of style will play into Oleksandr Usyk’s hands, it really will, and I’m tipping Oleksandr Usyk to win.”
Usyk’s team believe they called Fury’s bluff by accepting a “greedy” split of 70/30 to fight on April 29 at Wembley.
But Bellew, 40, who retired after defeat to the Ukrainian, 36, slammed the lowball offer.
