Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua lined up for stunning fight this year after Gypsy King’s bout against Oleksandr Usyk

BOB ARUM is ready to line up Tyson Fury to at last fight Anthony Joshua this year. Fury is currently in negotiations for the heavyweight division’s first ever four-belt undisputed fight against Oleksandr Usyk.

Meanwhile, AJ returns on April 1 against American Jermaine Franklin following consecutive losses to Usyk.
But should Joshua get back to winning ways with Fury also emerging with all the belts, Arum wants to finally commence the Battle of Britain.
He told iD Boxing: “Down the line, if Fury is successful then the best fight for him would be Anthony Joshua.
“If they don’t mess around like they did last time, I would certainly like to put that fight together, providing Joshua wins his fight in April.”

Joshua, 33, was beaten for the second time in the space of 11 months by Usyk, 36, in Saudi Arabia in August.
But the Ukrainian ruled himself out of then unifying the titles against Fury, 34, who wanted to return in December.
The Gypsy King made a shock callout to AJ which was accepted but talks predictably collapsed.
So Arum wants to avoid a repeat episode if the two teams come to the negotiation table again.

He said: “That fight, we were talking about before Tyson fought Chisora, we had the percentages and everything and then Joshua pulled out.
“Well, OK there might have been reasons for that etc, etc, but a straight forward negotiation in the time is right for that is what we’re looking for to get that fight over the line.
“There’s no reason why that fight couldn’t happen but Fury has to beat Usyk first and Joshua has to beat the guy he’s fighting.”
Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn claimed Joshua will fight Fury in the summer if he beats Franklin.
But the WBC champion shot down the idea in an interview with SportBible.
Fury said: “I don’t even go there anymore. No interest in any AJ questions. Zero. Man’s dead in my eyes.
“There’s no business between me and him to be done. Finished.”

Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk close to being confirmed for Wembley on April 29 as Arum says Saudi Arabia CAN’T host fight

TYSON FURY and Oleksandr Usyk’s undisputed title fight is close to being confirmed for April 29 at Wembley stadium. Fury’s promoter Bob Arum has confirmed Saudi Arabia is OUT of the equation to host the first ever four-belt heavyweight unification.

Instead talks are progressing for a deal in the capital with an announcement targeted for next week.
Arum told iD Boxing: “We’re looking to put the fight at Wembley stadium and we’re getting close with the negotiations with both Usyk and his promoter K2 and with Tyson.
“So hopefully we can get busy with that fight as early as next week and get the thing going.
“We would like very much to do a press conference not only in London but to bring the fighters over to New York and to do a press conference in New York as well.”

The Middle East were frontrunners to host the historic title unification but Arum confirmed they cannot accommodate a fight on their target date in April.
He said: “The Saudi money is not realistic because Saudi Arabia is not available to do that fight in the time period which is required by the organisations.”
Fury, 34, and Usyk, 36, were left to thrash out purses with organisers in Saudi before the venue was ruled out.
Now both stars will have to agree a financial split of a smaller amount on offer to fight in the UK.

Usyk’s promoter Alex Krassyuk has publicly refused to budge on anything less than a 50/50 split.
But Fury’s side argue that, as the bigger attraction, he is deserving of a bigger slice – but Arum will not negotiate in the open.
He said: “I am not going to talk about percentages or statements because once you start negotiating in the press it all falls apart.
“Because then, the ego of people come to the fore and that trumps common sense.
“So lets us be, let it be behind the scenes, I’m sure we’ll put it together and hopefully have an announcement shortly.”

Tommy Fury blasts Jake Paul for ‘talking s***’ about dad John before being ‘up Tyson’s a***’ just seconds later

TOMMY FURY blasted Jake Paul for “talking s***” about his dad John just moments before palling up to brother Tyson. Paul had travelled to London after the announcement of his rescheduled grudge match with Tommy, on February 26 in Saudi Arabia.

And he was critical of John’s involvement in Tommy’s training camp just as Tyson burst through the door.
The heavyweight champion faked a punch to Paul before the two embraced and even posed for a picture.
But Tommy slammed the YouTuber-turned boxer for switching up so quickly and not standing his ground.
He told Queensberry Promotions: “I’ve seen it, it’s all the makings of a s***house.

“He was talking s*** about my dad, saying he didn’t know anything about boxing, he didn’t know how to train fighters and what not.
“But then Tyson walked in the room all of a sudden and he’s up his a*** a hundred miles. You can just tell a fighter when you see one.
“A legitimate fighter would say what he’s saying and it doesn’t matter who walks in the room, they’d still stand by it. ‘Yeah, that’s what I think.’
“But for him, Tyson walked in the room and he crumbled, s*** himself. So that’s the measure of the man I’m dealing with.”

Paul, 26, jetted in from Dubai where he had been training to face off with Fury, 23, at Wembley Arena.
And he fumed further when his rival no-showed their kick-off press conference in Saudi Arabia.
But Fury – who twice pulled out of the bout due to injury and visa issues – insisted he is the more focused fighter at hand.
He said: “This man is a fruit loop, you see him all the time on the internet, YouTubers doing odd things, this is just him and he’s taken a liking to boxing.
“He’s thought he’ll have a go at it and that’s it. You’ve got one man playing at it and one man that’s training like a trojan. I sleep, eat, train and repeat.
“I’m not flying about on no private jet emptying my tank. I go to the gym, eat my food and I go to bed.
“I’m not playing at this game, it’s very serious to me. But again, it’s just business, this man is another opponent, it’s all he is to me.
“He’s like another journeyman, not interested. He’s just another step along the way in my career, that’s it.”

Davis, 28, allegedly crashed his Lamborghini into another car in November 2020 after running a red light.
Four people were treated in hospital for injuries, and Davis was charged with 14 various traffic violations in March 2021.
The American had been hoping to avoid jail time after accepting a plea deal last September.
But this was thrown out following a plea from one of the victims who was pregnant at the time of the incident.

However, a new plea deal has been approved, with Davis admitting his guilt to four offences related to the hit-and-run.
Davis will discover if he faces jail time at a later hearing on May 5.
And it means his anticipated April 15 bout against Garcia can go ahead.
The duo were in the finishing stages of striking a deal, with just the uncertainty of Davis’ sentencing holding up a final agreement.

And he faces his toughest test yet in Garcia, 24, who is victorious in all of his 23 fights. More

Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury early start time CONFIRMED as pair follow in Anthony Joshua’s footsteps

His Stateside travel ban leaves him unable to fight in America with the grudge match instead travelling to the Middle East.
But the ringwalk will accommodate those watching in UK, as was the case for the two times Anthony Joshua boxed in Saudi.
According to a pay-per-view press release from BT Box Office, the duo will make their way to the ring at 9.30pm.
For those in America, that is 4.30 in the afternoon Eastern Time or 1.30pm Pacific.

Paul, 26, comes into the fight at 6-0 but faces his first opponent with a recognised boxing record.
That follows after wins over ex-MMA champions Ben Askren, 38, Tyron Woodley, 40, and Anderson Silva, 47.
The YouTuber-turned boxer has prepared for the fight almost 800 miles away in Dubai.

The stakes have been raised even more after the WBC announced Paul will earn a world ranking if he wins.
Any challenger for the world title must be ranked within the top 15, meaning he is one victory away from a title shot.
Badou Jack, 39, challenges Ilunga Makabu, 35, for the cruiserweight title on Paul’s undercard.

But Team Wilder insists that’s not the case, with coach Malik Scott telling ES News: “No, not at all. There’s no talks.
“When I say that there is no talks, I’m coming from Deontay’s perspective.
“Because that is who I am hands-on with, every other day. From his perspective, it is all just hoopla.”
Scott, however, is refusing to rule out the prospect of Fury and Wilder sharing the ring again, although he’d prefer his man to fight Usyk.

He said: “Fury-Wilder 4 is an option, but it is more realistic to say Usyk-Wilder.
“I would want that to happen before Fury-Wilder.”

April 29 is the targeted date for the clash, which could potentially take place at Wembley.

Fury’s co-promoter Frank Warren told talkSPORT his week: “We are very, very close to getting this [Fury vs Usyk] done. Very, very close.
“His people are coming in tomorrow and I’m hoping we’re gonna get some news for everybody. We’re close to getting it done.
“Tomorrow we’re gonna meet up. Alex Krassyuk, his promoter, is coming to the Arsenal vs Man City game with me.
“I’m hoping that if I can get enough wine down him that we can do the deal.
“We’re meeting him to get an agreement on the various scenarios to make it happen.
“There’s a few more hurdles for both sides to get over. They’re not [insurmountable], not at all. Location is the main thing.
“If we go abroad, then you go there for a premium, that’s the reason you do it.

When is Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk? Date, TV channel – everything we know so far
“If not, then we get down to the reality of what it’ll be at Wembley where the numbers are what they are.
“We broke the box office record with the fight vs Dillian Whyte last April. If we get this one on, I think that will break that record.
“I think it’s well in excess of a million [UK PPV] buys, one-and-a-half million.
“It’s not like we’ve got to go and sell Usyk, he’s beaten Anthony Joshua twice, the public know who he is. It’s not a tough sell at all.
“We’ve got a pencil on it [April 29] for obvious reasons, just in case, we’ve gotta make sure we’ve got some insurance. So there’s a pencil on the date.

“In a perverse way, I would like to see it at Wembley because I’d like to see all the records broken and obviously see the fight in the UK.
“But from the boxers and their bank managers’ point of view, they would like to maximise what they can earn for an historic fight.” More

The first fight ended a draw despite many feeling Fury should’ve been the only man to have his hand raised.
Tyson made sure to get the job done in the next two fights, though, winning both with brutal knockouts.
A unification bout with WBA, IBF, and WBO champ Oleksandr Usyk is expected to take place later this year, but reports suggest secret talks have been held with Wilder over a fourth fight at Wembley IF negotiations fall through.
Dad John believes a fourth meeting would be a bad idea, fearing son Tyson could KILL Wilder.
