      TYSON FURY has been backed by his former opponent to beat Francis Ngannou – but only after taking a trip to the canvas. The unbeaten heavyweight world champion faces ex-UFC star Ngannou on October 28 in Saudi Arabia.

      Fury, 35, comes into the bout having last stopped Derek Chisora, 39, in December, the third time he beat his British rival.
      And Chisora is picking the Gypsy King to beat Ngannou, 37, but warned he could have to get up from the floor first.
      He told SecondsOut: “Tyson is going to win it, but I think Tyson is going to get dropped by Ngannou.”
      Ngannou is set to make the move from the MMA cage to the boxing ring following his UFC departure.

      And Fury’s dad John expects the former UFC champion to bring every ounce of his rugged martial arts style into the bout.
      He told Seconds Out via Freebets.com: “I hold him in the highest esteem and the highest regard.
      “He’s world champion at his game, he’s taking on the best in the world, taking it seriously and I do believe he’s going to bring the smoke.
      “I’m expecting Tyson to come out with a broken leg or a broken arm.

      “He’s not going to come out unscathed and I’m glad they’re paying him well because if they weren’t paying him well I wouldn’t put him in against Francis Ngannou.

      Ngannou has called on the help of American legend Mike Tyson – who John named his son after – for his boxing debut.

      Iron Mike has been helping train the Cameroonian in his Las Vegas camp.
      And John said: “Bare in mind he’s got Mike Tyson there and he wants to impress Mike Tyson.
      “And then Tyson [Fury] has got an ego as big as Morecambe so the stage is set for a battle royal.
      “He couldn’t have a better mentor in his camp than the great Mike Tyson, I’m sure Mike will show him the boxing moves he needs.”

      He has repeatedly taken aim at Paul’s partner Nina, 31, leaking an X-rated video of her last month.
      He has also made reference to her previously dating actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
      And his latest attempt to wind his boxing rival up was to post an old image on Twitter of the Danish model alongside ex-Man Utd man Forlan, 44.

      The bizarre snap left many on social media confused as to how she would have met the Uruguayan forward – who spent two years at Old Trafford before going on to play for Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan.

      SAVANNAH MARSHALL has become the latest women’s boxing star to make a switch to MMA. The current undisputed super-middleweight world champion has signed with the Professional Fighters League.

      She said: “I am thrilled to begin my journey in MMA with The Professional Fighters League.
      “I am proud to join the most talented female combat sports athletes in the world and continue to raise the profile of women in sports through PFLW.”
      The PFL is a seasonal format, consisting of qualifying and knockout stages.
      Stars in each weight have two regular season bouts where points are earned per method of victory.

      From there, the top four progress into the win-or-go-home semis and final stages where a title belt and $1million cheque is at stake.
      Marshall, 32, last won in July beating Franchon Crews-Dezurn, 36, to win all four 168lb titles.
      And she is expected to make her MMA debut in 2024 after becoming the most recent women’s boxer to make the cross over.
      The PFL have added boxing legend Amanda Serrano, 34, to their roster while Claressa Shields, 28, was already signed.

      As Danis and Paul exchanged words, John bizarrely called himself “a machine” and offered everyone on stage out for a fight.
      He then flipped over his own table, kicked over KSI’s, and started a brawl.

      Security staff were quick to intervene as an enraged Fury slammed his fists on the table before kicking it in the air.
      Logan Paul and Dillon Danis, who are fighting on the same card, had been going back-and-forth with each other before Fury lost his cool.
      Angered by their jabs at each other’s families and person lives, he stood up and fumed: “We are fighting men.”
      After begging those on stage to stop and talk about the fight instead, he tossed a table and booted a chair off stage.

      Fury then went a step further and offered everyone else at the press conference out for a fight.
      “We are fighting men!” shouted the former boxer. “My son will fight him and I’ll fight anyone in the building.”
      KSI could be seen looking visibly confused as Fury launched into his bizarre rant whilst pointing at the YouTube star.
      He continued: “Let’s get the f***ing ball rolling. Get the cake and shove it up your a***hole, before I do it.

      Security staff could then be seen rushing in as KSI leapt to his feet and tried to approach Fury.
      As the scuffle was contained, Paul stood on top of the only table still upright, appearing to hype up the crowd as chaos ensued around him.
