Carl Froch lists SIX reasons why Anthony Joshua would lose to Tyson Fury and reveals doubt over Dillian Whyte match-up

CARL FROCH has listed SIX reasons why he believes Anthony Joshua would lose to Tyson Fury. The heavyweight rivals have tried but failed in the past to commence their Battle of Britain.

Instead, Fury fought Deontay Wilder three times, drawing once but winning the two rematches.
And Joshua lost consecutively to Oleksandr Usyk in defeats that leave Froch doubting he could beat the Gypsy King.
He outlined his many reasons, telling Betting Sites: “They’re not giving Anthony Joshua a chance against Fury.
“I think it’s fair because he had back-to-back defeats to Usyk and he’s looking like a man that’s fighting with no confidence.

“He doesn’t come forward anymore. He’s on his back foot, he’s defensive first and he gasses after 8-9 rounds.
    “I don’t think he’s got the engine.”
Fury, 34, accused Joshua, 33, of rejecting the chance to fight him in September.
Instead, AJ returns on August 12 in a rematch with Dillian Whyte, 35, who he beat in 2015.

It will serve as a risky preparation fight ahead of his proposed blockbuster against Wilder, 37, in Saudi Arabia.
Froch, 46, said: “This fight with Dillian Whyte that’s coming up – if he can beat him in style and look good then people are going to start saying, hang on a minute, that was a good win.
“He’s already beat him, Dillian Whyte’s been knocked out by Alexander Povetkin and Tyson Fury so it’s not going to prove anything.
“But it’s just going to show that he’s got him there and he believes in himself, he means business. If he can get the win in style that sets it up nicely.
“Whyte wobbled him early on and AJ dealt with him and got the job done. AJ fighting Whyte is better than him fighting someone like Jermaine Franklin in his last fight or whoever else gets pulled up to make him look good – it isn’t going to prove that he can go in against somebody like Deontay Wilder, Usyk in a rematch, or Tyson Fury.”

Usyk became world champion for the first time in Poland, beating Krzysztof Glowacki for the WBO cruiserweight title in 2016.

And his next bout is expected to be against Francis Ngannou, the ex-UFC heavyweight champion.
The fight will be in a boxing ring but Fury has shown he can mix his strikes just like Ngannou as he pulled off some knees and elbows.
One fan said: “Blud been out the ring for so long he forgot what sport he’s in.”
Another added: “Looking in fantastic shape champ.”

One joked: “Why’s he throwing elbows like he’s going to go anywhere near a cage to fight in MMA.”
The heavyweight stars of boxing and MMA are close to confirming their exhibition extravaganza.
It will be Ngannou’s first foray into boxing, which he paved the way for after leaving the UFC when his contract expired.
Whereas Fury failed in talks to face Oleksandr Usyk this year, which for the first time ever would have seen all four heavyweight belts at stake.

And Anthony Joshua, 33, returns in a rematch with Dillian Whyte, 35, on August 12.
AJ also has a super-fight against Deontay Wilder, 37, in Saudi Arabia lined up afterwards.
So it has left Fury, 34, somewhat in the lurch and forced to turn his attention to Ngannou, 36,.
They are also lined up for a Saudi showdown, believed to be an exhibition without the WBC title on the line.

Deontay Wilder’s coach calls for Tyson Fury to be STRIPPED of world title amid news of Francis Ngannou fight

It has left Wilder’s coach Malik Scott fuming and demanding the WBC take their prestigious title away from the heavyweight champion.
Scott told ESNEWS: “Let Deontay and [Andy] Ruiz fight for the WBC, man.
“Let’s do something that makes actual sense, that helps the sport. All this f***ing waiting around, so now we’ve got to wait for Fury and Ngannou to fight.
“Another year. All this s*** just holds up the heavyweight division, man.”

Fury, 34, failed in talks to fight Oleksandr Usyk, 36, this year in what would have been the first four-belt unification in heavyweight history.
Now Usyk defends his unified titles on August 26 against mandatory challenger Daniel Dubois, 25, in Poland.
Meanwhile Anthony Joshua, 33, returns in a rematch on August 12 against Dillian Whyte, 35.
And a super-fight with Wilder is lined up for December in Saudi Arabia, leaving Fury frozen out of the picture.

So the Gypsy King turned his attention to Ngannou, who paved the way for a boxing switch after leaving the UFC.
Wilder is waiting out to fight AJ in the Middle East but sent an offer out to Ruiz, 33, for a bout to return in first.
But the American has accused his rival of turning down their deals.
Scott added: “They’re refusing offers, they’re out-pricing themselves. That’s them saying they don’t want the fight.
Team Wilder going to move on to bigger and better things anyway, to look for the biggest fight possible for Deontay, and we know what we have set up for December, but before that I want Deontay to fight again.”

But KSI came out and threw doubt over the fight by revealing a disagreement in weight.
He accused Fury of trying to change it from 180lb to 185lb and admitted it could be axed because of it.
KSI set a deadline on Monday to get the deal done and on the same day his promoter Kalle Sauerland revealed the weight was agreed upon.
Sauerland tweeted: “CONFIRMED: weights agreed today for @KSI v @tommytntfury….very close now!”

Fury did insist the weight had to be 185lb or else he would walk away to focus on a rematch with Jake Paul.
He said: “Just a few things to clear up; KSI’s only just agreed to do drug testing for this fight.
“Took his time with that one. And now he’s complaining about the weight. This fight’s at 185, take-it-or-leave it.
“I know you’re a midget and you’re worrying about the weight but get some more food down you and you’ll get there.

“If you just don’t want to fight, I know somebody who will fight in October, somebody who is ready to fight and will get to 185.
“Jake Paul, if you want to run it back, let’s do it, fine by me. I’ll knock you spark out this time. So let me know boys.”
KSI appeared to bite the bullet and accepted the weight – so long as there is an on the day weigh in too.
He tweeted: “Tommy, I wanna KO your ass so badly that I’ll come up in weight and do 185 lbs if you agree to do the weigh in on the morning of fight day.
“Nice fair fight. If not you will forever be known as Tommy Ducky.”
For KSI’s last fight against nightclub tycoon and 9-0 boxer Joe Fournier, it was at 180lb.
But there was a 10lb rehydration clause, meaning the two could not go over 190lb for the second weigh in just hours before the bout.
KSI, 30, went on to knock out Fournier, 40, with an accidental but illegal elbow, with the result being overturned to a no-contest.

But a rematch was snubbed so he could turn his attention to Fury, 24, who in February beat KSI’s YouTube rival Paul, 26, in Saudi Arabia.

Tyson Fury has ‘HAD ENOUGH’ of boxing and has ‘one eye on retirement’, claims ex-world champ Carl Froch

CARL FROCH claimed Tyson Fury has “one eye on retirement” and has “had enough” of boxing. The WBC champion recently vented his frustration at failing to land fights with Oleksandr Usyk or Anthony Joshua.

And Froch believes the fed up Fury – who has backtracked on several retirements in the past – is already thinking of hanging them up.
He told Betfred: “I think Tyson Fury has one eye on retirement. I think he’s had enough.
“He’s a big lad that’s got a bit of fat around him and everybody knows that he’s a bit out of shape in between fights.
“He then gets himself down to a reasonable weight and he really is a formidable force at heavyweight as he’s six foot nine, he’s big, he moves quick, he’s got light feet and I believe he can mix with any fighter, from any era.

“He’d have lasted in the 80’s and the 90’s against some of the best old school fighters such as Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield.”
Fury, 34, saw talks to face Oleksandr Usyk this year collapse, which for the first time ever would have seen all four heavyweight belts at stake.
Now Usyk, 36, defends his unified WBA, IBF and WBO belts against Daniel Dubois, 25, on August 26 in Poland.
And Joshua, 33, returns in a rematch with Dillian Whyte, 35, on August 12 and has a Wilder super-fight in Saudi Arabia lined up afterwards.

So it has left Fury somewhat in the lurch and forced to turn his attention to Francis Ngannou, 36, with the pair set to announce an exhibition bout.
Froch has been critical of the heavyweight division’s best failing to fight each other.
He fumed: “It’s frustrating and the boxing fans are getting bored of it.
“In mixed martial arts they all fight each other because of the way it’s structured. In football, every team plays each other.
“In boxing, you have Tyson Fury shouting all the odds and fights aren’t happening.
“I don’t even believe that Anthony Joshua is interested in fighting and he’s actually said that himself, he’s doing it for the money now.
“If £100 million isn’t enough, then I don’t know when he’s going to stop. It’s a frustrating time to be a boxing fan.
“People blame it on the promoters, blame it on the television networks, but if the fighters want to fight, then the fight can be made.”
