Who are KSI’s parents Jide and Yinka?

KSI and Tommy Fury will headline the Misfits Prime card on Saturday.Logan Paul and Dillon Danis will also share the headline spot on the fight card.
KSI will fight Tommy Fury on Saturday in ManchesterCredit: Darren Fletcher
This will be YouTube star KSI’s sixth outing in boxing gloves – having won four of these by KO.
The 30-year-old released ‘KSI: In Real Life’ – a biographical documentary following the Watford lad and his family – in January on Amazon Prime.
    Who is KSI’s father Jide?
Jide Olatunji – KSI’s father – was born in Ibadan, Nigeria and features in many of KSI and his brother Deji’s YouTube videos, often as the cameraman.
In the Amazon Prime documentary, the UK-based influencer-boxer spoke about how he had struggled to form a relationship with his father as a younger man and said “we just became strangers”.

On his relationship with the 57-year-old now, KSI added: “A lot of people are disconnected with their parents or their dads.
“Like the idea of not even hugging him or saying, ‘Oh, I love you dad, it was just a foreign thing. Back in the day, like, it’s crazy it never happened.
“And because he’s always working, it made sense, cause he had to do like two jobs and we didn’t have the time to bond ever.
“We just didn’t know each other. He was just a guy who provides and that was it.

“We didn’t have a relationship, we didn’t have that bond. That’s what I’m trying to fix now, that’s what I’m trying to create.
“It’s cool cause now I’m taking him to Arsenal games, talking to him all the time.”
    Who is KSI’s mother Yinka?
Yinka Olatunji was born in Islington and was raised Catholic by Nigerian parents – she also features heavily in her sons’ YouTube videos.
After KSI’s second fight with bitter rival Paul, the 55-year-old tweeted: My son is a warrior #TeamKSI we did it! Thank you all for your support and commiseration to Logan Paul, he tried.
And she has also expressed her displeasure at the idea of a bout between her two sons and said: “You do not fight family.” More

However, his partner is a celebrity in her own right.
Alexxis has 304,000 followers on Instagram and often steals the show on her page with some steamy bikini snaps.
And her camera confidence should come as no surprise considering she used to be a competitive cheerleader and now works as an actor.

She graduated from high school in 2014, where she was a part of the cheer team.
Aged 18 she moved to Los Angeles with her mum to pursue a career in acting, an art-form she feels deeply in-tuned with.

On the decision to move to LA, she told women’s magazine Elle: “I felt like acting was the only way I was able to express myself. I could step into these other roles and understand a little more about empathy.
“It’s definitely an escape – that’s what turned me onto it. And once I finally started to get callbacks and saw that my work was paying off, it felt almost addicting.”
However, it has not all been plain sailing.
Alexxis has revealed that her mixed-ancestry has seen her struggle to land some acting roles, being perceived as “too Latin” for some Caucasian roles and “not Latin enough” for others.

KSI has promised to shock fans by producing a shocking victory, with many favouring Fury to get the job done.
While Fury is certain he will be walking away from the ring with another big scalp, following his win over Jake Paul in February.
If KSI wants to win, he’ll have to uphold the values of the four powerful words he has tattooed on his body.
    What do KSI’s tattoos mean?
KSI has just four tattoos on his body, and they have all come in the last few years.

Previously choosing to rock the non-tattooed look, KSI got his first piece of ink in 2017.
KSI’s most prominent tattoo is the word ‘Knowledge’ which is emblazoned across his chest.
He also has ‘Strength’ on his left arm and ‘Integrity’ on his right arm.
KSI’s fourth tattoo is scribbled across his back
Many have pointed out that the three words are an acronym of his name KSI, but it’s not where his name comes from.

The build up to the all-American battle has been bitter with Danis going after Paul’s model fiancee Nina Agdal online.
It has led to Agdal filing a lawsuit against the jujitsu champion-turned MMA star ahead of her partner’s bout.
Fans have been eagerly anticipating the conclusion of the feud and here, SunSport reveals how the experts think it will go.
    Conor McGregor
Danis shot to fame as McGregor’s grappling partner and the pair were due to train together for the boxing match.

He told the Nelk Boys: “Logan is a really good boxer and he’s really athletic and he’s really strong.

The English cruiserweight champion coached KSI to victory over Paul but he does not give Danis a chance of repeating the result.
He told the Daily Mail: “Dillon Danis has never proven that he’s effective with punching. We know that he’s a jiu-jitsu specialist.
“But when it comes to throwing strikes, I’ve never seen anything that makes me think he can stop someone like Logan attacking him. So, I see a Logan Paul win.”

Jake Paul reveals eye-watering sum for his biggest boxing payday and lays out plan for next fight

JAKE PAUL has revealed his biggest boxing payday and laid out the plan for his next fight. The YouTuber-turned boxer has reaped the financial rewards of his polarising prizefighting career since debuting in 2020.
Jake Paul opened up about his biggest boxing paydayCredit: YouTube @fullsendpodcast
Just a year later, he made £30million over three fights and featured in Forbes’ sporting rich list.
And incredibly, he made that same sum in just one night despite suffering his first ever defeat, at the hands of Tommy Fury in February.
Asked on NELK Boys podcast what his highest purse was, Paul replied: “It’s close to $30million. Tommy Fury (fight.)”
The celebrity boxing duo spent the best part of two years feuding before they finally settled the score in the ring.
    READ MORE ON JAKE PAUL
Fury, 24, was twice forced to pull out prior to his win due to a rib injury and US visa issue.
And Paul, 26, believes the dragged out rivalling helped contribute to the box office success with over 800,000 pay-per-views sold.
He said: “I think just the timing of everything in fights like that make the most sense.
“It was like two undefeated, young prospects putting it all on the line. His brother’s the heavyweight champion of the world.

“Family versus family, the beef. There was two fights before it that were supposed to happen that we did all the promotion that he pulled out of.
“So there was all that built-in promo. Tons of legends attended the fight [Cristiano] Ronaldo being there. So it just turned into this massive event.”
Paul snubbed a rematch to instead return with a victory over Nate Diaz, 38, in August with Fury now fighting KSI, 30, on Saturday.
And the American revealed his next bout could come against another professional boxer even if the opposition is less known.
Paul revealed: “I’m looking at some pro boxers.
“Because I want to take this more traditional boxing route of moving up into the rankings, fighting professionals and taking the route to become world champion like a prospect of my calibre.
“So we’re looking at some pro boxers and they’re not going to be big names by any means.”
Asked if that comes with risk, Paul said: “I want to be world champion, though. And there’s risk, for sure.
“But, for me I want to challenge myself, continue to grow in this sport and get to the top of it, from a skill level, 100 per cent that’s my goal.”

Jake Paul reveals unlikely DMs between him and Tommy Fury just days before KSI fight

JAKE PAUL claimed he has already struck an agreement to rematch Tommy Fury in 2024. The YouTuber-turned boxer was handed his first defeat in February after losing a split-decision to Fury in Saudi Arabia.

But he snubbed an immediate rematch to instead return with a victory over ex-UFC star Nate Diaz, 38, in August.
Meanwhile Fury now faces Paul’s arch rival KSI on Saturday in Manchester.
But according to Paul himself, he has set out to rematch Fury next year after the pair exchanged unlikely direct messages online.
He said on NELK Boys podcast: “We’re in talks. We’ve DMd back and forth like, ‘Let’s do the rematch in 2024.’ So he’s down.”
    READ MORE IN BOXING
Paul, 26, then claimed no matter the result of KSI’s fight with Fury, he still wants to settle their bitter feud in the ring.
He said: “Look Tommy, KSI, whatever happens there both of those fights I want.
“I want both of them regardless of what happens. Yes, win lose or draw I want the Tommy Fury rematch and I want to fight KSI.”
KSI, 30, insisted that he turned his attention to Fury after failing in talks to fight Paul, whose brother Logan, 28, lost to the Londoner in 2019.

And KSI hinted he could retire from boxing if he beats 24-year-old Fury in a bid to further wind up his arch enemy.
But Paul has urged KSI to fight him no matter what happens this Saturday.
He said: “KSI if you beat Tommy go crazy bro, let that s*** rub your ego, say whatever you want to say.
“But, guess what? Just because you maybe beat Tommy you didn’t beat me. Man to man and styles make fights, everyone knows that.”

The boxing ruling that is a nightmare for Anthony Joshua in his mission to become three-time world champion

ANTHONY JOSHUA has been handed a blow in his hopes of becoming a three-time world champion. AJ’s promoter Eddie Hearn revealed plans to turn their attention to Filip Hrgovic after talks with Deontay Wilder stalled.
Anthony Joshua with promoter Eddie HearnCredit: Reuters
Hrgovic, 31, is the IBF mandatory challenger and the next in line to challenge for Oleksandr Usyk’s title.
But Usyk has signed for a first ever four-belt undisputed bout with Tyson Fury, which will supersede Hrgovic’s mandatory position.
As a result, the Croatian could be called into an “interim” title shot, guaranteeing him a crack at the full version in the future.
Or, if the winner between Fury, 35, and Usyk, 36, was to vacate, Hrgovic would inherit the strap.
    READ MORE ON ANTHONY JOSHUA
So Hearn was ready to shift his focus on to the IBF title route to give AJ a clear road to becoming champion again.
But Swede Otto Wallin has now thrown a spanner in the works.
Wallin, 32, is coming off a win against Murat Gassiev, 29, which is due to put him second in the IBF rankings.
It means should Hrgovic be called into a final eliminator or interim title bout, it would likely be against Wallin and NOT Joshua.

Fury and Usyk’s proposed blockbuster deal in Saudi Arabia is believed to offer the loser a rematch.
So if talks cannot be revived for Joshua, 33, to face Wilder, 37, Hearn revealed that Hrgovic would be an alternative.
He told Boxing Social: “The Wilder fight is much bigger, but the Hrgovic fight comes with a world title.
“That will always take priority, but we’ll have to see what plays out.
“Again, we’re only hearing that it’s a two-way rematch Usyk-Fury, which is disappointing, but we’ll see.”
