      DEONTAY WILDER has revealed his chilling new nickname in a warning to Joseph Parker and the rest of the heavyweight division. The American former WBC world heavyweight champion has always gone by the “Bronze Bomber” moniker.

      It is a nod to the bronze medal he won at the 2008 Olympics and a homage to heavyweight legend Joe Louis, who was called the “Brown Bomber.”
      But Wilder – regarded as one of if not the hardest hitter in history – has now adopted a new name in honour of his power.
      He said: “End of the day, people have things to do. They wanna come and see a fight and after that they want to go party.
      “So when you’re watching me don’t blink, I’m going to give you what you want to see.

      “Nowadays my name is Doctor Sleep. And I’ve definitely got the NyQuil in the right hand so I hope he brings a pillow and a blanket.
      “It gets a little chilly at night.”
      Wilder, 38, heads into the bout with 42 knockouts in his 43 wins and victory over Parker would set him up to fight Anthony Joshua next year.
      That’s as long as Joshua first beats Otto Wallin in their headline bout.

      The Gypsy King was left a bloody mess in that Vegas fight… and now, four years later, Wallin will be out to inflict similar damage to Joshua.
      And John has questioned AJ’s team for choosing the Swedish southpaw as the man to welcome him back to the ring in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night.
      He told Boxing Social, via FreeBets: “I’m not so sure again about the people around him, the managing side, picking a man like Wallin.
      “He would give anybody a problem, he’s a 6ft 5in southpaw, a good game kid and has one of the best trainers in the world in his corner in Joey Gamache.

      “At the end of the day, it’s an uphill battle let’s put it that way. Can AJ pull it off? He can.
      “But he’s going to get tested like he has never been tested before. I think if I was looking after him I wouldn’t have picked Wallin, no.
      “When AJ is like he is, he’s on a comeback trail, he’s had a few setbacks, you want a confidence builder.
      “And this ain’t a confidence builder, this is a bloody hard fight.”

      John claimed Fury looked “as weak as a kitten” in Las Vegas when he was taken to the wire against Wallin.
      Fury parted ways with trainer Ben Davison after the bout.
      Coincidentally, Davison is now in the corner with Joshua for the first time, in the absence of head trainer Derrick James.
      And Wallin said: “[Davison] was in Tyson Fury’s corner for our fight.
      “I think it’s good to remember that after the fight Ben Davison was fired by Fury.
      “So that’s all I take from it. Fury had a draw with Deontay Wilder, he got a new trainer, and he came back to knock Wilder out.
      “So obviously Fury got better when he switched trainers.”

      The rebuilding Watford hero has given up on his dream of becoming undisputed boss, with father time – as well as top opponents – mounting up against him.
      But he has a long-overdue barnstormer with former WBC king Deontay Wilder booked for March 9 – as long as he can come through his Swedish two-fight amateur rival on Saturday.
      Win and he is back at boxing’s top table. Lose and – as the former bricklayer admits – all his hard labour will have turned to dust.
      “I’m looking to do a demolition job,” he said. “100 per cent. “I am looking to do a good job. I will do a good job.

      “I have purse focus on Saturday. That’s where my heart and soul, every cell in my body is fully focused toward Otto Wallin and doing what I know I can do.
      “It’s not hard to stay focused, I made that commitment in my life to stay fully locked in.
      “I will perform and do my job. I can definitely also window shop in my life, but I also have to say that this is the checkpoint and if I don’t get past this then there is no future.”
      This weekend is Joshua’s third fight in the trillion-dollar kingdom, so no prize fighter is more aware of, or enriched by, the crazy cash swirling around the desert.

      But it almost ended in disaster as Fury was dropped and deemed fortunate to walk away with a controversial points victory.
      Heavyweight rival Joshua – who returns on Saturday against Otto Wallin – watched in shock and is left in no doubt he has the beating of Fury.
      He told Sky Sports: “Trust me, you know what I’m saying?
      “You know what I’m saying. The bodybuilders. The muscly Africans are coming back. You know what’s going on, I’ve seen it. I know.

      “Imagine what I would do, but anyway Otto Wallin, that’s our focus. So I’m going to end it on that.”
      Fury, 35, managed to keep his title unification with Usyk alive by scrapping past Ngannou.
      But the initial December 23 date was axed and instead the division’s first ever four-belt unification is set for February 17.
      In that absence, Joshua, 34, has stepped in to face Wallin.

      Meanwhile, Deontay Wilder returns against Joseph Parker on the same night as part of a HUGE pay-per-view bill.
      Joshua is lined up to fight Wilder next year but the pair former world champions must win their respective bouts first.
      So AJ is refusing to focus on anyone else but the dangerous Wallin, who left Fury needing 47 stitches in a points defeat back in 2019.
      Joshua said: “That’s my main focus. Otto Wallin. He gave that man, Tyson Fury a good run for his money, he’s a great fighter, respect to him.
      “I’m giving him the ultimate respect – even though he doesn’t deserve it – but I’m giving it to him in my mind.
      “Because I want to be the best version and be ready to put myself on the level I need, in order to be victorious.”

      “Whether it’s self-belief or what, Daniel has to go out there and impose himself against Jarrell and get himself back to the big table.
      “Otherwise he has a long road back.”
      Dubois said: “I’m ready to go, let out all of that emotion that I’ve built up from the Usyk experience and turn it into a positive.
      “Come through this big show with a win.
      “I want to punch holes in Jarrell, whatever it takes to win, for me it’s important to win in style and put all of that [Usyk loss] behind me,” he said.
      Miller’s career has been marred by doping scandals after a failed drugs test saw a 2019 fixture against AJ cancelled at the last minute.
      The match will take place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is the chosen venue for this tasty event and it can host approximately 26,000 roaring fans.

      And Miller has not been shy of using his loud mouth to try and provoke his British opponent.
      In his latest swipe, he told Queensberry Promotions: “His brain is a shrimp.
      “I guarantee if we cut his head open his brain will be the size of a shrimp. You know what I mean? The IQ of a walnut.
      “So like I’ve told you before, Big Baby ain’t nothing to play with and I’m gonna attack every part of him. Even the mental part.”

      Miller, 35, infamously blew the chance of challenging Anthony Joshua, 34, for the heavyweight titles in 2019 after failing a series of drug tests.
      He blamed the failed tests on a tainted supplement and stem cell shots in his elbow.
      He then received a contract with Bob Arum’s Top Rank stable but again tested positive for a banned substance.
      This time the ex-kickboxer put it down to a SEX PILL and was handed a two-year suspension.

      The New Yorker has won his three comeback fights so far, most notably against Lucas Browne, 44, in March.
      Dubois, 26, meanwhile was beaten by Oleksandr Usyk, 36, in August after failing to beat the referee’s count.
      It was shades of his brutal 2020 loss to Joe Joyce, 38, when he took a knee and loss having been left unable to see.
      Miller has used to the defeats to question Dubois’ mental strength – but the Londoner looks to flip the script in Riyadh.
      He told Boxing Social: “No, we’ll make him quit. That’s what we’re going to do. We’re going to make him quit.
      “Turn it around on him, you know. Show them, you know. Do our job properly and take his ‘0’ away,”
