ANTHONY JOSHUA VS FRANCIS NGANNOU: ALL THE DETAILS YOU NEED AHEAD OF HUGE CROSSOVER BOUT
UFC legend Ngannou, 37, will cross over to the world of boxing once more after his stunning display against Tyson Fury, when he went the distance and even knocked the Gypsy King down with a powerful punch.
The Cameroonian went on to lose by a controversial split decision but his performance earned him a bout with Joshua, 34, which will take place on March 8 in Saudi Arabia.
And Hearn is convinced the Brit will do what Fury couldn’t, and that is knock the MMA hero out.
He told Matchroom Boxing: “I do [believe Joshua will knock Ngannou out].

“I believe that he is going to wear him down and chop him down and by the end of the eighth round this fight will be over.
“Anthony Joshua will be ready to fight for the undisputed world championship.”
That undisputed showdown would be against either Fury or Oleksandr Usyk, who will face off for all titles on February 17.
Joshua has shaken off his two consecutive losses to Usyk with three big wins over Jermaine Franklin, Robert Helenius and Otto Wallin.

His emphatic and dominant victory against Wallin was particularly impressive seeing as the Swede also gave Fury a hard time in 2022.

Hearn fears Tyson Fury is ‘shot’ and his chin may be ‘gone’ as he reveals AJ could have fought Ngannou before rival

EDDIE HEARN reckons Tyson Fury’s best days might very well be behind him.The WBC heavyweight champion is still unbeaten in his 15-year-long professional career but has taken a lot of punishment in recent years.

Fury, 35, has been dropped five times in his last eight fights – with four of the brutal knockdowns being dished out by rival Deontay Wilder.
The most recent of those knockdowns came at the hands of former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, who was making his pro boxing debut in their Saudi showdown last October.
And that knockdown has Hearn wondering if Fury’s punch resistance is gone ahead of his undisputed clash with Oleksandr Usyk next month.
He told The Mirror: “He dropped Fury and that gave him credibility. What we don’t know is was it a one-off?

“You’ve got to figure it out from the first bell.
“How big a puncher is Ngannou? People tell us he’s a monstrous puncher but is Fury’s chin going? We’ll have to find out.”
Hearn’s long-time client and pal Anthony Joshua will look to dispose of Ngannou in better fashion than Fury when they clash in Riyadh on March 8.
And the Matchroom Boxing chief has revealed AJ could have fought The Predator before Fury got his hands on him
He said: “We had the opportunity to fight Ngannou before but AJ didn’t want to do it.
“He said he is a serious guy who wants to win a heavyweight championship.
“But I thought Ngannou beat Fury, if he didnt, it was a draw, or he lost by a round, it was that close.”
Joshua, 34, is refusing to underestimate Ngannou after seeing him embarrass Fury by putting him on his backside.
He said: “If Tyson underestimated Ngannou, I sure won’t. Francis has lost the element of surprise with me.
“We knew Francis had a reputation as the biggest puncher in the world but the surprise was how well he boxed.

His trio of wins have put him on the cusp of potentially fighting for the IBF heavyweight title, which is expected to become vacant after Fury’s undisputed title fight with Oleksandr Usyk next month.
Reclaiming the IBF crown for the second time could pave the way for a historic domestic dust-up with Fury, provided his fellow Brit gets through Usyk.
The boxing world is currently divided over who will win the showdown following AJ’s resurgence and Fury’s embarrassing display against debutant Francis Ngannou last October.
But boxing icon Tyson has already made a definitive prediction for the Battle of Britain, telling Haute Living: “I love Joshua, but I think Tyson’s too elusive he’s not going to hit him.

AJ recently overcame tricky southpaw Otto Wallin on another blockbuster bill in the Middle East at the end of last year.
Before last month’s epic card, Joshua was expected to fight long-term rival Deontay Wilder after his meeting with the Swede.
But any hopes of a deal went up in smoke after the Bronze Bomber was on the end of a shock defeat to Joseph Parker in Saudi Arabia.
Ngannou raised many eyebrows in the world of boxing following his stunning debut against Tyson Fury in October 2023.

Despite Usyk standing his grown, Fury insists he saw fear in the unified heavyweight champion’s eyes.
The undefeated WBC king said: “I think he’s scared to death. He’s rattled.
“His balls are twitching now, boys. His a***hole is flapping.
“You’re welcome to be sharing a ring with the future undisputed heavyweight champion – me. You are all dossers, he’s getting knocked out, and you two [Krassyuk and Klimas] are going to be working for me carrying my bags, so remember I said that on this stage.

Former pound-for-pound king Usyk believes Fury’s shenanigans were born out of fear.
He said: “The man behaves like that when he’s afraid and he doesn’t feel comfort.
    “He’s not sure about anything.”
Usyk later added: “For me, this is a big opportunity [becoming] undisputed. For my family, my country.

I was called every name under the sun in prison, but nobody would say it to my face, reveals Tyson Fury’s dad John

TYSON FURY’S dad John has revealed he faced terrible abuse in prison – but no-one dared “insult me to my face”.The father-of-six has been behind bars three times, including for gouging a man’s eye out, but claims he is “everything a man should be”.

The former bare-knuckle fighter, 59, has a violent past but says his strong religious belief helped him overcome his darkest days.
As a teen, Fury Senior was twice sent to borstals – detention centres that have since been replaced by other forms of youth custody.
He escaped from the first one – a place he compares to the gruesome borstal of the 1979 movie Scum, starring Ray Winstone.
And after he was finally captured he spent three more years inside at a similar centre.

Then in 2011 Fury Senior was jailed for 11 years for wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
It followed a fight at a car auction in Belle Vue, where he gouged out the eye of a man who had been his friend – until they fell out over a bottle of beer and had a long-running feud.
He was released four years into his sentence due to good behaviour, having initially been in notorious Category A prison Strangeways before moving to an open jail.
Now the dad of heavyweight legend Tyson has discussed some of his worst times inside.

He told the Daily Star, via Free Bets: “When I was in prison, at 10 o’clock at night, I used to get called every name under the sun through the windows.
“What they were calling me and my family was unprecedented.
“But did I know who was saying it? No. There’s 1,500 men in a prison where the noise comes from. You can only guess, but would they say it to my face? No.
“I’ve been round some hard cookies in my life. We thought it was tough. Nobody’s ever insulted me to my face.

“They can say what they want behind my back because there’s miles and miles in front of people. When you’re stood there looking like you’re gonna do somebody some damage, let’s see where the balls are.
“I know what mine are. You’ll have to kill me to stop me, because I’ll definitely end it there. I don’t want the police knocking on my door anyway. They have knocked on my door too many times.”
But Fury Senior insists his unpleasant side only comes out if he believes he has been insulted or his family need protecting.
He said: “The people in the know who know me, they know I’m not to be messed about with.
