Dillian Whyte open to Joseph Parker bout following Tyson Fury loss after being told ‘there’s no better time’ for rematch

DILLIAN WHYTE is ready to rematch Joseph Parker in his first fight since defeat to Tyson Fury. Whyte was knocked out by Fury in April as his long wait for a world title shot ended in heartbreak.

But the beaten contender, 34, is willing to jump right back into the big time and confirmed an interest in fighting Parker, 30, again.
Whyte wrote on Instagram: “I just want the buggiest (sic) fights at this stage in my career let’s go put hands on you once and will do it again.”
The heavyweights both found themselves on the floor in the heavyweight thriller.
Whyte, who was moments away from defeat in the final round, battled through to edge out a win on points.

Parker is now currently lined up to fight Joe Joyce, 36, but the bout is being delayed due to his coach Andy Lee expecting a baby.

EX-NBA star Glen “Big Baby” Davis is set to make his boxing debut on the undercard of Jake Paul’s next fight. YouTube star-turned prizefighter Paul returns to the ring on August 13 for his sixth professional bout.

And according to ESPN, his Most Valuable Promotions banner are seeking an ex-WWE heavyweight as Davis’ opponent.
The former power forward stands at 6ft 9in and weighs over 21 STONE.
He featured in the NBA for nine seasons, most recently in 2015 with the LA Clippers and started his pro career with the Boston Celtics.
Davis, 36, last played in 2019 with St John’s Edge in the Canadian league.

RAMPAGE JACKSON has called out Tyson Fury with the UFC legend desperate to be the retired boxer’s first MMA opponent.Fury has teased a switch to MMA before and last year trained with UFC veteran Nick Diaz in Miami.

Diaz, 38, recently revealed throwback pictures of their May 2021 session and it caught the attention of Jackson, 43.
He commented: “I’d love to be his 1st MMA fight.”
Unfortunately for Jackson – the former UFC light-heavyweight champion – Fury last year performed a U-turn on a move to MMA.

Fury, 33, has proposed UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, 35, as his crossover opponent.
The British boxing legend announced his retirement after beating Dillian Whyte, 34, in April and wants to face Ngannou in an exhibition.
And Fury’s promoter Frank Warren confirmed he would not stand in the way of talks.
Warren said: “All I can do is give him the benefit of my advice.
“All I will ever tell him is what I feel he should do but I will not say ‘you should do this’. I wouldn’t even attempt to go there.
“He’s a smart individual and whatever he decided to do will be for the benefit of himself and his family and that’s how it should be.”

Wilder believes referee Jack Reiss should’ve waved off the fight after seeing Fury flat out on his back.
He continued: “I definitely knocked him out. The referee was Jack Reiss and if you go back and look at any of his fights, he stops a lot of fights early.
“Sometimes they don’t even get to get up and he’s waving it off.
“When I knocked Fury out I literally seen it with my own self, that’s one of the reasons why I was so surprised.
“Not only with the count, but I seen this man’s eyes rolled back into his head, that’s how this s*** was.
“I seen his veins popping out his head and I knew he had a concussion. He was gone, that’s a wave off, period.”
Wilder would go on to do battle with Fury a further two times, suffering seventh and 11th round stoppage losses in the final fights of their trilogy.
The Alabama slammer hasn’t fought since his brutal loss to the Wythenshawe warrior last October but recently confirmed he will return to the ring.
He said: “I can’t stop right here. I must continue my journey. I have to, I have to.

FLOYD MAYWEATHER has his next fight announcement “coming up soon” after training footage taken days before his comeback was released. The boxing legend returned to the ring in an Abu Dhabi exhibition bout against his former sparring partner Don Moore.

Now a free agent enjoying a resurgence in boxing, the Brazilian, 47, is once again being called out by Jones, 53.

ROLANDO ROMERO claimed he spent more money on sparring than he earned for his fights – after knocking out too many people in the gym. The unbeaten American, who fights Gervonta Davis on Saturday, did not have a massive amateur background, having just 35 bouts.

He instead made a name for himself in Floyd Mayweather’s Las Vegas gym, where he treated sparring sessions like world title fights.
It caught the attention of Mayweather, who in 2016 alongside right-hand man Leonard Ellerbe signed Romero.
But after continuing to brutalise sparring partners and sharing the evidence online, the boxer found himself out of pocket.
Romero, 26, told SunSport: “I didn’t care who they were, I just went in there and beat the f*** out of them.

Romero gets his shot at the big time in New York against long-time rival Davis, 27, who is defending his WBA ‘Regular’ lightweight title.
The pair were set to fight in December but Romero was pulled out after being levelled with sexual assault allegations.
He vehemently denied the accusations.
And following an investigation, the unbeaten fighter faced no charges as the allegations could not be substantiated.
It meant he got a second shot at Davis, who along with one other unnamed foe remains at the top of Romero’s hit-list.
