      Paul, 25, posted a promo for his upcoming August 6 bout with Hasim Rahman Jr, offering: “$1000 (£831) to someone who like & retweets this tweet”.

      The YouTube star was due to take on Tyson Fury’s younger brother Tommy in a long-awaited clash.
      But Fury was unable to sort a visa for travel to the US, with Rahman Jr stepping in at short notice.
      Paul is returning to the boxing ring for the first time since defeating MMA star Tyron Woodley in December last year.
      He’s since turned his hand to promotion and brokered the fight between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano at the MSG in April.

      Mayweather, 45, is said to be training “like he’s 30” and is looking at the fight taking place next March in the Middle East with a potential fight between Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia as undercard, according to an insider in Money’s camp.

      It was rumored last month that the two sporting legends were in talks over a potential rematch that could be worth a staggering $1billion (£830m).
      UFC legend McGregor then went on Instagram to claim that the deal could already be done, sharing a photo from their first fight in June 2017 – with the caption “I accept”.
      SunSport revealed earlier this year that the pair were in talks over a rematch.
      The first McGregor vs Mayweather fight in Las Vegas became the second highest pay-per-view in fighting history attracting about 4 million viewers.
      Mayweather went 50-0 with the tenth-round stoppage of the Dubliner, making around £250 million.
      Money boosted that windfall at the bookies by carrying the novice in the early rounds and backing himself to get the win late.
      McGregor cleared around £100m from the clash, which was his first ever professional boxing fight.
      Mayweather’s victory against The Notorious proved to be his last ever pro fight, but he has since fought in various exhibition matches.
      He beat Tenshin Nasukawa in a 136-second beatdown in 2018.

      But Fury has dismissed that as an option, seemingly quashing it as a possible fight for 2022.

      Talks had begun with the Irish government about Taylor headlining a fight at Croke Park later this year.
      However those appeared to be dashed when promoter Eddie Hearn said Serrano wasn’t interested in a rematch.
      But the Puerto Rican fighter says she is willing to take on Taylor in Dublin – but both her and the fans will have to wait until next year.

      Joe Joyce backed to BEAT Anthony Joshua by sparring partner who says heavyweight was ‘way better’ than he expected

      JOE JOYCE has been backed to beat Anthony Joshua by a sparring partner who said the heavyweight was “way better” than he expected. Joyce has been calling to fight former Team GB camp-mate AJ and is currently the WBO mandatory challenger.

      It means he will be in line to face the winner between Joshua, 32, and Oleksandr Usyk, 35, who rematch on August 20 in Saudi Arabia.
      But to keep busy, Joyce, 36, beat Romanian Christian Hammer, 34, in four rounds after spending time in America training.
      There, he sparred 15-6 Jonnie Rice, 35, who was left mightily impressed by the unbeaten contender.

      But with AJ coming off a one-sided defeat, and Joyce scoring his 13th knockout in 14 fights, Rice picks only one winner between them.
      He said: “I’d have to give it to Joe Joyce, right now.
      “With boxing time is a factor, maybe Anthony Joshua earlier in the day, nobody was doing anything with him.
      “I was studying Anthony Joshua – and I still do now – but it just seems Joe Joyce right now is getting stronger and stronger.”
