      ‘No loyalty in the game’ – Tyson Fury slams Sky Sports and Matchroom ‘b*****s’ after split ahead of Joshua vs Usyk

      TYSON FURY has claimed that there is “no loyalty” in boxing following the split between Sky Sports and Matchroom Boxing.Earlier this year, Eddie Hearn agreed a five-year deal with streaming service DAZN to replace Sky Sports as Matchroom’s exclusive broadcast partner in the UK and Ireland.

      But Fury, 34, has since slammed both Hearn and Sky for allowing the deal to happen.
      In a passionate rant on social media, he said: “The funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time is how the whole of Matchroom and Eddie Hearn and all of Sky, Adam Smith, Johnny Nelson. Everybody.
      “They’re all at each other’s throats because they’ve all split up and they’re all arguing like cat and mouse.
      “All arguing like a lot of children. ‘He should do this he should do that.’

      “Now, if they had anything on each other they’d all be grassing each other up like little b*****s. I’ve never seen anything like it my whole life.
      “All of you lot are going to be ashamed of yourselves.

      BOXING legend Mike Tyson revealed how Anthony Joshua can beat Oleksandr Usyk in tonight’s rematch.The two heavyweights are set to lock horns at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Saudi Arabia just a year after Usyk beat Joshua in London.

      Tyson insists AJ will have to wear the Ukrainian star down if he wants to win the IBF, WBO, IBO and WBA (Super) titles.
      The American is adamant Joshua won’t be able to outbox such an “elite amateur boxer”.
      Tyson told Joe Rogan: “He’s going to have to wear him down. I mean, he’s not going to outbox this guy. He’s not going to do it. He’s just going to beat him [up].
      “Usyk is very hard to hit. He’s an elite amateur boxer. That kind of elite amateur boxer spoils guys like Joshua because there’s too much movement, feints, and all that stuff.

      “He can do a lot. That’s why he’s not a lost soul, he can learn a lot, but he’s still learning. That’s why he’s the dangerous Joshua because he’s still learning.
      “He can’t just feint. His jabs have to be constantly out there. He has to turn them into something.”
      Tyson hasn’t declared his favourite for this fight yet but knows AJ is in for a tough night.
      The Baddest Man on the Planet insists the British star needs to show he learned from last year’s loss via unanimous decision.

      Garcia said: “He enjoyed the camp, we can’t say everything went perfect because some days weren’t but that is supposed to happen in a training camp.
      “We have peaked at the right moment and this is the happiest he has been, so that is the perfect sign.
      “There’s never a perfect training camp where every day is good. There were a few days where we had to work on stuff but he listened and corrected things and now he has to go and do it in the ring.” More

      BOXING often throws up plenty of disagreement and conflict, especially between some of the sport’s biggest stars on fight week. While there are no disagreements this week, Anthony Joshua has picked a new pair for his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.

      A particularly contentious part of fight week is glove selection, where both fighters and their respective camps will inspect and choose the gloves they will where on fight night.
      Often, this is a smooth process, but as seen with Tyson Fury’s third fight with Deontay Wilder, it’s not always plain-sailing.
      Wilder had already thrown accusations about the legality of Fury’s gloves for their second fight in 2020, and the Bronze Bomber wasn’t happy when Fury selected the same style of glove for the trilogy.
      Fury famously wears horsehair material gloves, while Wilder has worn foam padding in his throughout his career, and both are legal.
      But who do fighters get so antsy over glove selection? SunSport have rounded up all you need to know about one of the key formalities of fight week, and the differences between the two types of glove.

      What is the difference between horsehair and foam-padded boxing gloves?
      It sounds self-explanatory – one gloves has horsehair in it, the other has foam.
      But the use of horsehair in gloves, a tradition nearly as old as the sport, has been hotly-contested in recent years.
      Horsehair padding provides the glove with less protection to both your hands, and your opponent’s face, therefore it favours those in the ring who consider themselves to be a knockout artist, or someone with really heavy hands.
      Horsehair gloves are durable, though they absorb sweat easier, thus wearing the padding down quicker than that of their foam relatives.
      Dubbed a ‘puncher’s glove’ horsehair gloves are often used by fighters with a come-forward Mexican style of fighting, or those seeking stoppages in their fights, much like Fury did against Wilder.
      Fury wore Paffen branded gloves for both the rematch and the trilogy against Wilder, after he employed Kronk coach SugarHill Steward to train him to KO the American.
      Paffen gloves use horsehair padding, unlike the majority of modern boxing gloves which use foam padding.

      Following their second fight, in which Wilder was stopped in seven rounds, the Alabama native complained Fury’s gloves had an insufficient amount of padding in them, and that Fury’s punches left a dent in his face.
      Wilder usually wears Everlast Powerlock gloves, which uses a PVC foam and latex material for padding.
      Foam padded gloves have become more popular over the past two decades, as they keep your hands protected and they absorb shock better than horsehair gloves do.
      Once Wilder found out that Fury would be using the same gloves for their trilogy, however, he opted to use Everlast MX instead, a horsehair-foam mix, in order to even the playing field.
      Another fighter who was opposed to horsehair gloves was Floyd Mayweather, who often had it written into his fight contracts that his opponents weren’t allowed to use gloves with that type of padding.
      Conor McGregor was famously banned from using horsehair for their fight back in 2017.

      And Marcos Maidana had to change his gloves from horsehair to foam in 2014 on fight week after Mayweather came away from glove inspection less than impressed with the Argentine’s choice of glove.
      Maidana ended up wearing Grant branded gloves, which Mayweather wore for most of his storied career.
      Grant gloves are known as the best gloves on the market for those who want their hands to be ultra-protected, and they were perfect for Mayweather, who often suffered with hand injuries.

      However, this time round, Joshua will wear heavy-hitting Grant gloves instead of Rival – hinting he could be going for a knockout.
      Joshua wore Grant gloves for his first fight against Andy Ruiz Jr, which ended in a career-first defeat.
      But he has also wore the foam padded gloves in his wins over long-time rival Dillian Whyte and Alexander Povetkin.

      Other KO artists such as Gennady Golovkin and Gervonta Davis wear the ‘puncher’s gloves’.
      Joshua’s coach Robert Garcia, who replaced long-time mentor Rob McCracken following September’s defeat to Usyk, explained how the Brit has been trying a number of different gloves in the build up to the rematch.
      But it was the Grant gloves Joshua felt most comfortable with.

      “It’s whatever they feel comfortable in. You know, most of my fighters wear the Everlast.
      “As you guys see, the MX. It’s a very comfortable glove.
      “And it’s a puncher’s glove. So most of my fighters are punchers.
      “So they love wearing that glove. But, you know, Anthony feels very comfortable with the Grant.
      “It’s also very, very comfortable. And, and, you know, the power is there.

      Evander Holyfield, Derek Chisora and ex-WWE star Braun Strowman were among the celebrities at the dinner ahead of the fight, where the WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO and Ring Magazine heavyweight titles are up for grabs.
      Usyk won the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO titles off Joshua last September at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
      Joshua lost the fight by unanimous decision and has since made a number of changes to his coaching staff and training camp to prepare for the rematch.
      Both fighters appeared relaxed at the gala, choosing to wear casual clothing while the rest dressed to impress.

      Heavyweight boxer Chisora dressed head-to-toe in traditional Saudi clothing and was all smiles as he joked with Joshua.

      The big man, who faced off against WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in WWE, and lost, is enjoying his time away from wrestling.
