Jake Paul challenges brother Logan and nemesis KSI to Arsenal vs Liverpool bet ahead of Premier League clash

JAKE PAUL has challenged brother Logan and business partner KSI to a bet ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Arsenal. Liverpool will take a visit down to The Emirates to face league leaders Arsenal on Sunday.

And ahead of the game, YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul has called out Arsenal sponsors Logan and KSI for a bet.
He said: “The world is a betr place when Liverpool wins and Mo Salah is doing what Mo Salah always been doing. Scoring.
“Sunday at Arsenal is going to be a cracker. Maybe Logan and his junior partner in PRIME want to put on a little bet.”
His refusal to name KSI likely comes as a thinly-veiled dig at the multi-faceted Brit, who he has previously exchanged less than friendly words with on social media.

However, thus far there has been no response from the Sidemen Charity Match star.
Lifelong Gooner KSI struck up a partnership with former rival Logan in a business venture for hydration drink PRIME, with The Gunners having the exclusive rights to sell the drink in their stadium.
Arsenal will be hoping to extend their lead at the top of the table by beating Jurgen Klopp’s side, while Liverpool will be equally as determined given their poor start to the season.
The gap between the two sides currently sits at 11 points, meaning a win for either side could simultaneously reignite or implode the respective team’s title hopes.

Johnny Nelson fears for Chris Eubank Jr’s life and says fight against Conor Benn CANNOT go ahead after failed drugs test

JOHNNY NELSON admitted fear for Chris Eubank Jr’s life and said his fight with Conor Benn CANNOT go ahead after failing a drugs test. Benn tested positive for a testosterone booster, which led to the British Boxing Board of Control refusing to license the bout.
Johnny Nelson called for Chris Eubank Jr’s fight with Conor Benn to be cancelled
But there were fears organisers could turn to a different body to sanction and revive the fight.
Benn did past all UK Anti Doping tests, which the BBBoC are governed by, meaning he does not face a suspension.
It was in Voluntary Anti-Doping Association tests that he returned an adverse finding for clomifene, which is commonly used as medication to treat infertility in women who do not ovulate.
Former world champion Nelson questioned why the fight promoters are willing to ignore VADA’s test and the BBBoC’s decision.

He told talkSPORT: “I’m an ex-fighter, you ask me my opinion and it’s this: What is the point in having a drug test if you’re going to ignore the results?
“Boxing is the only place you can legally get killed. People are paying to watch this fight, it’s one man hitting another.
“Especially in this situation where a guy is coming down in weight, father is saying ‘don’t do it’, he’s saying he can do it.
“A fighter is coming up in weight. You’ve seen a drug that will help mask other drugs. That’s what that drug does as well.

“The BBBoC cannot U-turn because it will undermine them and it will set a precedent for this happening again.”
He continued: “But the worst case scenario, and you’re not saying it will happen, you’re saying it can happen. It’s somebody’s life at stake.
“And therefore, say for instance, Conor really hurts Chris. Does he then legally get done for assault?
“If he killed him, he’d get done for murder. There’s a case, there’s an argument there.
“Because a drug has been found in his system. I love both of these guys, but something is not right.”
Hearn met with the BBBofC on Thursday morning and has threatened them with an injunction if they commit to their banning of the bout, under their banner.
And in an update, he tweeted: “Let’s see what today brings but to make one thing clear, I will not be promoting this fight with a foreign commission or alternative governing body on Saturday night.”

TV chiefs wanted Conor Benn vs Chris Eubank Jr fight to go ahead in shock U-turn despite failed drugs test

PROMOTER Eddie Hearn desperately tried to bundle Chris Eubank Jr versus Conor Benn over the line before it was eventually cancelled. The British Boxing Board of Control have refused to sanction the fight after 26-year-old Benn failed a drugs test for a testosterone booster.

Eddie Hearn was desperate to get the bout back on but failedCredit: PA
Under-pressure Matchroom boss Hearn did all he could to get the show officiated at the O2 on Saturday night.
There were claims a foreign board could take over after Malta sanctioned the Dillian Whyte vs Alexander Povetikin, while David Haye’s 2012 win over Derek Chisora was given the green light by the board in Luxembourg.
But Hearn spoke out to say the fight would only go ahead under the BBBoC jurisdiction.
He tweeted today: “Let’s see what today brings but to make one thing clear, I will not be promoting this fight with a foreign commission or alternative governing body on Saturday night.”

And Hearn has now accepted defeat in his appeal with the fight definitely off.
Talks are now underway to work out a rearranged date.
The fight’s broadcasters, DAZN, suffered a huge financial hit when Canelo vs Gennady Golovkin bombed last month.
And the sports streaming app, which has lost around £4billion since its inception and failure to land UK Premier League rights, will be hurt drastically if forced to refund all of the subscribers and pay-per-view buyers who wanted to see this catchweight bout, before it was tainted.
Hearn met with the BBBofC on Thursday morning and threatened them with an injunction if they commit to their banning of the bout, under their banner.
Should they have been invited, rival commissions would have jumped at the chance to get recognition and a hefty sanctioning fee by granting the fight under a cloud.

Just two days before the weigh-in it emerged Benn had failed a pre-fight drug test, which SunSport understands was taken on September 23.
He returned an adverse finding for clomifene, which is commonly used as medication to treat infertility in women who do not ovulate.
But it can also increase testosterone levels in men, which is why it is on the World Anti-Doping Agency banned list.
SunSport also understands there could be an issue with a second test VADA took as part of the WBC’s Clean Boxing Program — but promoters Matchroom refused to comment.
Benn broke his silence to protest his innocence on Wednesday.
He said: “I’ve not committed any violations. I’ve not been suspended so as far as I’m concerned the fight is still going ahead.

“I’ve spoken to Chris personally and we both want the fight to go ahead.
“We’ve both taken medical and legal advice and as I said, we want the fight to go ahead for the fans.
“I’ve signed up to every voluntary anti-doping testing there is under the sun.
“Throughout my whole career I’m tested. All my UKAD tests have come back negative throughout my whole career.
“I’ve never had any issues before. Even in the lead up to this fight my test have come up negative.
“So my team will find out as to why there’s been an initial adverse finding in my test.

“But as I said, the fight is still going ahead. I’m a clean athlete and we’ll get to the bottom of this.”
But Benn’s claims of a conversation with his rival were shot down by Eubank Jr himself.
The 33-year-old Brighton fighter told Matchroom Boxing: “There was no phone call. We haven’t spoken since this was announced.
“It’s a shame. But my promoters, his promoters, the boxing board of control, they’re going to sort it out.
“I’m ready, I’m clean, I’m 60 per cent. I’ve been tested my entire career for the last ten years. I’ve been tested more than I’ve ever been tested for a fight during this training camp.
I don’t condone failed testsChris Eubank Jr
“I have an app on my phone where I have to designate where I’m going to be every single day and I’ve been on that app for my entire career and I will be on it for the rest of my career.
“They can come and test me for blood and urine unannounced whenever they see fit and I’ve never failed a test. I’ve even been tested on holiday.
    “I don’t condone failed tests.”
The catchweight clash of 157lb was set to take place almost 30 years after their dads’ famous rematch, which ended in a draw.
    WHAT IS CLOMIFENE?
CLOMIFENE is a banned substance which is known to increase testosterone levels in men.
It is usually prescribed to women to help with pregnancy if they are not ovulating properly.
The anti-oestrogen medication comes in pill form and is also known as Clomid and Clomiphene.
Studies have previously shown that when used in men, low doses can elevate serum testosterone levels.
It works by stimulating the body’s own production of testosterone and is known to provide similar results to injection or pellet testosterone therapy.
It can, and has, been misused by athletes in the past as it boosts performance and can counter the side effects of anabolic steroid use.
Taking clomifene boosts androgen levels indirectly – these are the male hormones that play a big role in muscle mass and strength.
    What are the side effects?
Most medications can cause side effects with one in ten people experiencing feeling flushed, sick and experiencing headaches.
Other symptoms include breast discomfort, weight gain and abdominal or pelvic pain.

Conor Benn vs Chris Eubank Jr LIVE UPDATES: Hearn vows fight ON despite drugs test as Luxembourg could SANCTION fight

BOXERS Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn are adamant their fight is still on for Saturday night. This is despite the British Boxing board of Control ‘prohibiting’ the fight after Benn’s ‘adverse’ drugs test.
Benn’s promoter Eddie Hearn revealed that he is challenging the decision plus the Luxembourg Boxing Federation could step in and sanction the fight.
Both fighters still went out for their public work-outs following the news and believe the fight will go ahead as they prepare for a press conference later today.
We’ll be bringing you all of the latest updates as they unfold here.

    Weight for it
According to reports, Chris Eubank Jr’s weight could be revised.
He is at a career weight low for the bout with his father stressing it is unsafe.
Perhaps their will be a compromise for his safety and for the Conor Benn’s positive test.

    “Very much on”
The bout between Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn is still “very much on” claim the Daily Mail.
Despite the 26-year-old testing positive for a fertility drug both parties seem to want the fight to go ahead.
Apparently the O2 Arena has been told to expect the fight to still be on.
    Press Conference delayed
Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn’s press conference was scheduled for 1pm.
However it has been pushed back until 4pm.
It means the pair are still set to meet today.
    The Statement
A reminder of what was said in the statement released by the the British Boxing Board of Control.
It read: “On the evening of 4th October 2022, the Board of the British Boxing Board of Control Limited resolved that the contest between Chris Eubank Jnr. and Conor Benn scheduled to take place on 8th October 2022 is prohibited as it is not in the interests of Boxing.
“That was communicated to the Boxers and Promoters involved on the morning of 5th October 2022.”
Paul wants Fury bout – Exclusive
Away from the Benn-Eubank Jr fight, Jake Paul has confirmed he is ready to fight Tommy Fury next and in the UK – but warned it is his rival’s third and final chance.
The celebrity boxers have TWICE signed for a grudge match but both times Fury was withdrawn.
An injured rib last December and US visa issues this August saw the 2019 Love Islander pulled out of the pay-per-view paydays.
Paul told SunSport: “This is his last chance, last chance for Tommy.
“And I’m still not sure if we’ll really run that, it’s just an idea, our teams are talking. But there might be bigger fights.
“When I beat Anderson Silva, a lot more people are going to want to fight me, so there might be bigger names out there and more interesting opportunities.
“It could happen and if it does I’m happy to come to the UK.”

    Hearn labelled hypocrite
Conor Benn’s promoter Eddie Hearn has been labelled a hypocrite by fans regarding his stance after the positive drugs test.
Hearn is looking for ways to get the fight on but a video has emerged of him talking about when Billy Joe Saunders pulled out of his fight with Demetrius Andrade in 2018.
In the clip he says to ignore a drugs test results would be a “mockery”.
“What is the point in signing up for drug testing if, when you fail, everyone just goes, ‘Oh don’t worry about, just let him fight’, you know?”
“The argument of ‘well it’s alright with UKAD’ is totally irrelevant, you’ve signed for drug testing with VADA – the best testing agency, in my opinion, in the sport.
“I really I wanted this fight to happen, but he failed a VADA test. You can’t ignore it, otherwise the sport’s a mockery.”
    Luxembourg key?
With the British Boxing Board of Control prohibiting the fight, both will now look for loopholes in the rules to get the fight to still go ahead.
Looking at what David Haye and Derek Chisora did back in 2012, they had their fight licensed by the the Luxembourg Boxing Federation.
Neither of those fighters held a British boxing license at the time but European federations can still give fights the green light if they choose to.
Could we see Benn and Eubank head to Europe for a license but still fight in the UK?
    The Test – explained
Is the fight on or off? At this point there is no confirmation either way.
Their is confusion because Benn was positive on a test from VADA.
But the British Boxing Board of Control is governed by UKAD.
According to Hearn, Benn has tested negative when examined by UKAD that included a test after the positive one held by VADA.
    Press Conference on
Promoters Eddie Hearn and Kalle Sauerland seem to still want the fight to go ahead with Hearn saying the matter is with the lawyers for both parties.
The press conference with Eubank and Benn is scheduled for 1pm today and is set to go ahead.
Reports suggest both fighters and their teams have been aware of Benn’s positive drugs test since 23 September.
    Fight On?
According to the Daily Mail, the fight between Conor Been and Chris Eubank Jr may still go ahead.
The pair are set to meet in a press conference later today with both parties still preparing to get in the ring on Saturday night.
This comes despite the British Boxing Board of Control prohibiting the bout.

Eddie Hearn calls YouTuber Jake Paul ‘average’ while rating YouTuber as a boxer – but insists he is ‘complimenting’ him

BOXING promoter Eddie Hearn gave a brutally honest assessment of the skills of YouTube personality Jake Paul.Hearn labelled Paul’s ability as “average” during a Q&A – but insisted he was complimenting him.

The pair sat down for an interview with DAZN back in May amid the Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano fight and straight away it descended into chaos as Paul took offence to Hearn’s jab.
Hearn started the interview by saying: “He fought AnEsonGib who was terrible on the night and Jake looked pretty average cause Gib was terrible as well.”
Paul rebuked this, suggesting his ability could not be properly judged due to the fight lasting such a short amount of time.
After a swift back and forth the promoter responded once again: “That’s true, that’s true. I don’t know where you might go. I just give you where I think you’re at which I’m entitled to, which is average.”

He then delivered the killer line: “average is very complimentary.”
This follows on from Hearn declaring Paul would never win a world title in boxing.
Paul’s YouTube channel currently sits at 20.4 million subscribers, but switched the YouTube scene in favour of boxing in 2018.
His first fight was on the undercard of the KSI vs Logan Paul bout, which attracted over 2.25 million live views.

But when his management team were in Manchester for Amanda Serrano’s latest fight, Fury, 23, was also in attendance.
The unbeaten pair even shared a FaceTime call and agreed to revive talks for a trio of times.
But if Fury’s travel woes continue, Paul will be forced to cross enemy lines to get his hands on the brother of heavyweight champion Tyson.
The American boxed in an exhibition bout in England in 2018, beating KSI’s brother Deji.
And such was the thrill of being the bad guy, Paul is ready to take on both Fury and his fans with another revenge mission across the pond.
He said: “I love the UK fans, I love the UK fans that hate me. I loved fighting over there.

“It’s just such a spectacle, interacting with the fans there, I always love putting on a show and that’s what I love more than anything, honestly.
“So I would love to come there and have it be a whole circus.”
Paul is currently in his Puerto Rico training base preparing to fight Silva, his biggest test to date.
The Brazilian is also 4-1 in the ring and his first opponent with a recognised boxing record.
Paul has been sidelined for the year after Fury’s latest pullout and replacement Hasim Rahman Jr, 31, also withdrawing amid a weight row.
But there will be no backup option in place for Silva if lightening was to remarkably strike again.

Paul confirmed: “We’re done with the backup thing. Last event proved that is a nightmare, Tommy pulled out and the backup was Hasim.
“Now Hasim is super famous when nobody knew who he was, now he’s all over the place, he’s damn near a household name because of that whole situation.
“Then the ‘backup guy’ bailed out and ruined everything. So we’re done with the backup s***.”
