      BBC Sport presenter Emma Louise Jones brilliantly shuts down creep who sent her sick X-rated message

      EMMA LOUISE JONES has brilliantly responded to a creepy Instagram user who slid into her DMs.The Leeds United TV and BBC Sport presenter posted a witty clip pretending to be a hotline assistant to mock the person for objectifying her.

      Jones has built up a massive online following of over 388,000m followers on Instagram for her sport presenting work.
      But some creeps have taken the opportunity to send her graphic DMs due to her stunning looks.
      And one of which Jones drew the line under as she made her brilliant response.
      Jones referred to the creep as “Sniffy Dave” as she pretended to work at a DM Hotline, where she helped him from sending more gross messages.

      While wearing a headset, Jones started the video by saying: “How can I help you Dave, you been sending more messages?”
      “What have you been saying this time?”

      The video then displayed a screenshot of a sick DM about her underwear.
      Jones then said: “Have you thought about following it up with anything more romantic? What have you said?” as second screenshot from Sniffy Dave read: “One sniff is all I ask.”

      Jones then said: “Have you thought about asking her if she wants to go for dinner?
      “Oh you don’t want to eat, you just want to sniff.
      “Right, well you did ask politely, and it was just one sniff so I’m sure she will get back to you eventually! Alright Dave, happy sniffing.”
      After hanging up the phone, Jones then said to an apparent co-worker at the hotline, “Suz, no do I block him?”
      It is not the first time she has shut down someone on social media.
      After receiving once such X-rated question, she decided to hit back.
      She posted a screenshot of the tweet, writing herself: “Alexa, what does a virgin look like?”
      Jones, who also recently suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction, has also amassed over 249,000 followers on TikTok and regularly posts videos of her dancing with fans saying she is slowly improving.

      Match of the Day to make history with first ever father-son punditry team in shake-up to regular cast

      An excerpt of a BBC statement read: “Ian Wright and Shaun Wright-Phillips will become the first father and son punditry team to appear on Match of the Day on Saturday.
      “Arsenal legend Wright, a regular pundit on the show, will be joined by son Wright-Phillips, who had two spells with Manchester City.
      “The pair will join Gary Lineker in the studio to review highlights from Saturday’s Premier League fixtures.”
      There will no doubt be plenty of banter between father and son – who regularly trade jibes with one another on social media.

      Shaun Pickering dead at 61: Brit Olympian and son of BBC commentator dies as Greg Rutherford leads tributes

      WELSH Olympian Shaun Pickering has died at the age of 61. Pickering was a shot put bronze medallist for Wales during the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur.

      He was also an Olympian at the 1996 Atlanta games, where he finished 27th.
      Pickering’s best shot of 20.45 metres in 1997 still stands as a Welsh record and places him as sixth best in the across the UK.
      He also held the Welsh record for hammer throw, with a best distance of 68.84m
      Pickering later became UK Athletic’s national event coach for heavy throws.

      He was the son of the late BBC commentator Ron Pickering and former British Olympian Jean.
      Team GB long jump gold medallist Greg Rutherford led the tributes online.
      Taking to Instagram, Rutherford said: “Incredibly sad news to wake up to.
      “Shaun was a really good man and a pillar of the athletics community.

      In tribute, Welsh Athletics said: “Everyone at Welsh Athletics is sad to hear the news that ‘Hall of Fame’ inductee, multiple Welsh Champion and record holder Shaun Pickering has passed away.

      The Ron Pickering memorial fund, a charity aimed at helping aspiring British athletes which Pickering helped to build following his retirement, also paid a heartfelt tribute.
      They said: “It is with deep sadness that we learned of the passing today of our beloved Shaun Pickering.
      “Shaun did so much for athletics and to carry on the amazing legacy of his parents Ron and Jean.
      “All our hearts go out to Shaun’s family and friends at this dreadfully sad time 💔.”
      British Athletics also added: ” Everyone at @BritAthletics is so saddened to hear this news today.

      That is despite the tournament kicking off Down Under in just 11 weeks’ time.
      The Fifa President said: “To be very clear, it is our moral and legal obligation not to undersell the Fifa Women’s World Cup.
      “Therefore, should the offers continue not to be fair, we will be forced not to broadcast the Fifa Women’s World Cup into the ‘big five’ European countries.

      “And, I wouldn’t mind, but it’s the first bloody time that I’ve worn it. I’ll be sending that right back thank you very much New Look. And me left hand is in absolute agony from clinging on so hard.

      And Arsenal legend Ian Wright spreads himself across more than one outlet, turning up on BBC’s Match of the Day and ITV’s coverage of England games and cup competitions.
      But no pay increases will be handed out across both terrestrial channels next season.
      The cap comes after reports of Sky Sports axing broadcasters from their coverage.
      Soccer AM’s 30-year stint was brought to an end last month… and they may not stop there.

      There have been reports of long-time reporter Geoff Shreeves getting the boot.
      A Sky Spokesperson said: “Our coverage of football is evolving to reflect the changing habits of our viewers and ensures we continue to deliver the best experience for customers.
      “Our proposal would mean the creation of new roles, and the closing of some existing roles, and we are currently in a consultation period with our people.”
      Long-serving studio analysts Phil Thompson, Charlie Nicholas and Matt Le Tissier were axed in 2020 as Sky looked to go in a new direction.

      BT is scrapping its popular Score football show on Saturday afternoons, which is presented by Jules Breach and Darrell Currie.
      TNT Sports will incorporate the live offerings from both BT Sport and Eurosport.
      WBD acquired BT Sport last year in a deal reportedly worth £633million.
      That means Premier League games will be shown under a new channel from next season, as BT Sport’s deal to show games runs until 2025. More

      The study also revealed who the dream football broadcast team would be made up of.
      In addition to featuring commentary from John Motson, it would feature punditry from Alan Shearer, Ian Wright and Roy Keane – and would be presented by Gary Lineker.
      The study also revealed what characteristics make for a winning commentator, an entertaining pundit, and a game-changing presenter.
      For commentators, player knowledge (33 per cent), impartiality (26 per cent), and the ability to create an engaging narrative (24 per cent) are important.
      With pundits, having a solid understanding of the game (36 per cent) is key, as is not being afraid to disagree with colleagues (28 per cent), and an unbiased approach (26 per cent).
      When it comes to presenters, knowledge (59 per cent) also appeals to viewers, followed by an ability to keep conversation flowing (38 per cent) and good banter (36 per cent).
      And the topics fans especially enjoy their favourite experts discussing include controversial decisions (32 per cent), analysis of individual players (25 per cent), and good attacking moments (22 per cent).

      Part of their fondness for particular pundits, presenters, and commentators also appears to be due to familiarity – 62 per cent said watching or listening to coverage is like spending time with mates.
      While 62 per cent also said their favourite football broadcaster takes their mind off worries they might have.
      Carried out through OnePoll, the study found those polled listen to two hours and seven minutes of football coverage on the radio a week and watch three hours 28 minutes on TV.
      Their top three favourite shows are BBC’s Match of the Day, Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday, and the soon-to-be departed Soccer AM – also a Sky Sports show.
      And the most popular broadcast network for football fans is Sky Sports, followed by the BBC and BT.
      A spokesperson for CopyBet.com added: “Football coverage has evolved quite significantly over the years.

      “It’s much more in-depth and detailed in the modern era – especially among networks which are able to air hours of matches and analysis.
      “And while that’s enhanced the viewer experience, one constant has been the personalities involved and the chemistry particular pundits, presenters, and commentators have with one another.”
