Liverpool given huge transfer boost as Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick CONFIRMS David Alaba contract talks have stalled

DAVID ALABA is yet to agree a new contract with Bayern Munich – potentially alerting Liverpool to a deal for the defender.
Bayern boss Hansi Flick has confirmed the club’s difficulty in tying down the Austrian with his existing deal expiring in June.

And Alaba, 28, has been linked with a move to Anfield after Virgil van Dijk’s injury – following in the footsteps of former team-mate Thiago Alcantara.
Flick told reporters: “Alaba is doing a good job.
“I feel he’s the same as last season, very focused, loud on the pitch, one of the players who leads our defence. For me, there’s no difference between now and last season.

“I’m not concerning myself with [his future] at all right now.
“I really hope that he signs a new deal with Bayern because I think he knows what the current situation is in Munich.
“We have a lot of fun, it is a good atmosphere in the team and we play successful football. It is a club that belongs among the best in the world.
“The conditions are top for every player right now and I think he’ll think twice about changing that.

“He will think about it, I am sure, but we will have to respect any decision. I hope he will remain with us but ultimately it is his decision.”

Manchester clubs United and City, plus Juventus, are also said to be tracking Alaba.
Munich have won six of the seven games he has played this season, including the Uefa Super Cup and their opening two matches in the Champions League.
Snapped up from Austria Wien as a teenager, the versatile star has been a mainstay in the Bayern side for a decade – winning nine Bundesliga titles.
But contract talks have been tough with former club president Uli Hoeness slamming Alaba’s agent.

    It’s purely about money.
Uli Hoeness On Alaba’s Extension Talks

Amid talk of an £18.5million agent’s fee, he stated last month: “It’s purely about money.
“If you only knew what [Pini] Zahavi wants for himself from David’s signature – an eight-figure sum.
“That is not at all possible. I can understand that Hasan [Salihamidzic, Bayern director] totally flipped out at a meeting. The arguments that are exchanged there defy belief.”

Chelsea to keep Callum Hudson-Odoi as Bayern Munich agree transfer to bring Douglas Costa back from Juventus

CHELSEA will keep Callum Hudson-Odoi as Bayern Munich have agreed to sign Juventus’ Douglas Costa instead.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reports a ‘total agreement’ has been reached with the Old Lady after a deal for Hudson-Odoi, 19, collapsed.

And Costa, 30, who left Bayern for Juventus in 2018, will return to Bavaria on loan, according to Sky Sport Germany’s Max Bielefeld.
Frank Lampard had confirmed Hudson-Odoi could leave before the window slams shut on Monday night.
He said: “There is no definitive answer — by Monday we will know the answer.

“Bayern might have declared their interest, which is one thing, but Callum is absolutely part of my plans.”
But it appears the England winger will remain at Stamford Bridge and not be joining the Champions League winners.
Bayern boss Hansi Flick hailed Hudson-Odoi as ‘one of the biggest talents’.
Hudson-Odoi was targeted by the German champs last summer but a move failed to materialise before he penned a bumper long-term deal in West London.

The Blues academy product made his first start of the Premier League season in the 4-0 thumping of Crystal Palace on Saturday.

But he faces competition from new signings Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner and Kai Havertz as well as American ace Christian Pulisic with game time potentially tough to come by.
Costa reportedly shot down a move to Wolves as he only wanted to leave Turin for another big club.
Manchester United were linked with the Brazilian – who is being offloaded by Andrea Pirlo’s side after becoming surplus to requirements thanks to persistent injury problems.
Costa missed 21 games through injury last season but is set for a second chance in the Bundesliga.

Bayern Munich plot emergency last-minute Thomas Lemar loan transfer from Atletico Madrid after Leroy Sane injury

BAYERN MUNICH are reportedly plotting an emergency last-minute loan for Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Lemar following an injury to Leroy Sane.
Bild Sport claim former Manchester City winger Sane, 24, has a knee problem which is expected to keep him out for three to four weeks.

Sane only joined Bayern earlier in this window for £54.8m but his fitness blow could see the German champs making another move in the transfer market.
Arsenal target Lemar, 24, is potentially available immediately to help plug the gap and add depth to boss Hansi Flick’s attacking options.
Bild report the Champions League winners would prefer a loan deal but Atleti would rather a permanent sale.
Either way, an agreement must be reached swiftly with the window slamming shut on Monday.

Sane endured an injury-riddled campaign last year, managing only 11 minutes on the pitch after tearing his ACL in August 2019.
Lemar joined Diego Simeone’s side in 2018 from Monaco for a staggering £62m but has failed to hit the heights expected at the Wanda Metropolitano.
A return of no goals or assists in 29 games in all competitions last season, convinced Atletico to put him up for sale.

However, like Bayern, reports suggest interested clubs have so far only put forward loan options.
The Gunners were linked with Lemar when he was still at Monaco, but talk of a swap deal with Alexandre Lacazette surfaced in May.

Liverpool boast the most valuable squad in world football

Yet his dismal form and the signing of Willian from Chelsea means it is unlikely Lemar will be arriving at London Colney to play under Mikel Arteta.
Lemar was thought to have rejected a move to Porto with his heart set on joining a Premier League club.
Everton and Wolves are both reportedly interested in making a move but time is running out for a deal to be completed.
Lemar’s stock has fallen dramatically after previously being linked with Prem big-hitters Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham – none of whom are interested now.

Tariq Lamptey wanted by Bayern Munich in £14m transfer but Brighton hold out on £23m for ex-Chelsea kid

BAYERN MUNICH reportedly want to sign Brighton’s lightning full-back Tariq Lamptey – but are almost £10million short of the asking price.
German outlet SPORT1 reports the Seagulls are holding out for £23m for the former Chelsea youngster, with the Bundesliga champions offering just £14m.

Right-back Lamptey, 19, has made a blistering start to the 2020-21 Premier League season and is being lined up as back-up to Benjamin Pavard in Bavaria.
However, the Champions League winners’ boss Hansi Flick will have to act fast with the window closing on October 5.
Lamptey has caught the the eye with his lung-busting performances.
Earlier this month the rapid star clocked an incredible 22.8mph as he was recorded as the fastest player of the weekend after Brighton’s win against Newcastle.

He has fast become a fixture in Graham Potter’s side despite having only made the move to the South Coast from Stamford Bridge for £4m in January.
Lamptey left Chelsea’s Under-23 set-up to join the first-team squad at the Amex and his lightning displays may have The Blues regretting the decision to let him leave.
The club did NOT insert a buy-back clause into his contract – something that riled Chelsea fans impressed with his early-season form.
Lamptey showed his old employers what they were missing by making Leandro Trossard’s goal against them on the opening day of the season – one of three assists this campaign.

Liverpool boast the most valuable squad in world football

But Reece James’ thunderbolt two minutes later restored their lead before Kurt Zouma’s deflected effort ensured Chelsea won 3-1 and Lamptey tasted defeat against his old team.
Lamptey’s meteoric rise has surprised everyone including himself and left him with a decision to make regarding his international future.
Despite making his England Under-21 debut against Austria this month, the London-born ace is eligible to represent Ghana through his parents and is still undecided about his international future.

Bayern Munich stars ‘believe Callum Hudson-Odoi could complete season-long loan transfer from Chelsea in next two weeks’

BAYERN MUNICH stars are reportedly hopeful of finally welcoming Callum Hudson-Odoi to the Bundesliga champions.
The Chelsea winger remains a fringe player at Stamford Bridge despite signing a £120,000-a-week contract last year.

That new deal came amid serious interest from Bayern when Hudson-Odoi was only just graduating from the Stamford Bridge academy.
But their interest has been rekindled in recent weeks, according to the Telegraph, and they may have gained hope after claims the youngster wants showdown talks with Frank Lampard about his future.
It is said that the Munich dressing room eagerly awaits the teenager and expect a bid in the coming weeks.
A loan proposal is considered most likely with this autumn’s transfer deadline set for October 5.

The Bavarian giants may not be the only club to try and tempt Hudson-Odoi, 19, away from West London.
Juventus and RB Leipzig are also reportedly tracking the star, although the latter may struggle to pay his wages.
Earlier in the month, it was suggested that Frank Lampard may sanction a loan exit after the arrival of Kai Havertz.
Hudson-Odoi has only featured in ten minutes of Chelsea’s opening Premier League fixtures.

Having been promised more game time when rejecting Bayern, the winger has been largely used off the bench by both Lampard and predecessor Maurizio Sarri.
Only 17 of his 49 appearances for the Blues in league and Europe have come as a starter.
Bayern may be able to afford greater prominence to Hudson-Odoi after losing Ivan Perisic and Philippe Coutinho in the summer.
Both wide men returned to their clubs after finishing their loan spells at the Champions League winners, who signed Leroy Sane from Manchester City for £54.8million.

Barcelona aim to hijack Bayern Munich’s transfer for Sergino Dest, 19, after Bundesliga giants ‘had agreed a deal’

BARCELONA are out to hijack Bayern Munich’s move for Sergino Dest after failing with two bids for Max Aarons.
A new right-back is on the Blaugrana agenda as Ronald Koeman looks to revamp his aging squad.

United States international Dest was born in the Netherlands and raised through Ajax’s academy, playing 36 times for the club.

And his performances have caught the eye of Europe’s biggest teams, including Bayern and Barcelona.
According to Bild, the Bundesliga champions have agreed personal terms with Dest but are yet to persuade Ajax to sell up.

That leaves room for Barcelona to make a bid, which Mundo Deportivo believe will focus on a loan deal with an obligation to buy.
On Saturday, SunSport revealed the Catalans’ desire to sign Dest having failed with two bids for Aarons.
Norwich rebuffed an offer topping £20million for the 20-year-old despite suffering relegation from the Premier League.
Reportedly set to leave Barcelona is Nelson Semedo with an unnamed club said to have bid around £40m for the Portuguese defender.

Replacing Semedo with Dest, 19, would leave the struggling LaLiga giants with a healthy profit with Ajax wanting around £15m for Dest.

Barcelona are attempting to push down their mega wage bill

Ajax boss Erik Ten Hag has insisted he would like Dest to remain in Amsterdam, telling reporters on Friday: “He is an Ajax player, he has trained and we are going to prepare for RKC.
“I can’t say anything about it, there is a lot of interest in all of our players. Dest has developed well so it’s not surprising there is interest.”
He added: “Bayern Munich is a very nice club in Europe. I focus on Ajax and the development of Ajax.
“I want [Dest] to stay. If there is a different outcome, we’ll have to change things around.”

Chelsea star Hudson-Odoi at centre of three-way transfer battle between Bayern Munich, Juventus and RB Leipzig

CHELSEA star Callum Hudson-Odoi is at the centre of a three-way transfer battle between some of Europe’s biggest clubs, reports say.
The 19-year-old hotshot has become of renewed interest to Bayern Munich following their failed pursuit of him last year.

    1

Hudson-Odoi’s first team opportunities may be limited this season after Chelsea’s depth of recruitment

But their Bundesliga rivals – and Italian giants Juventus – are also believed to be keen on the Blues winger.
Sky Germany reports that Bayern’s interest is back on, despite the world-class talent that would already be ahead of Hudson-Odoi, like Serge Gnabry and Champions League final scorer Kingsley Coman.
They are still on the hunt for a winger after failing to secure Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic.
The Bundesliga champions would reportedly favour a loan move with an option to buy capture Hudson Odoi, but have yet to make an official approach.

The Champions League winners were close to gaining his signature 18 months ago after Hudson-Odoi’s Chelsea handed in a transfer request amid then-manager Maurizio Sarri’s reluctancy to play him.
But he did eventually put his name to a five-year contract 12 months ago after Lampard replaced the Italian in the dugout.
But with a raft of new attacking signings pushing the teenager further away from first-team football, speculation has now renewed.
Juventus are also interested and RB Leipzig have reportedly asked about the availability of the player – but the German club’s finances will likely stop them from making a move.

The English international’s new contract put him on £120,000 a week and even a loan agreement would be difficult for Julian Nagelsmann’s team, says the report.
The arrival of attacking talent Timo Werner and Kai Havertz – who both featured in Chelsea’s win last night – along with Hakim Ziyech has made Hudson-Odoi’s first team chances look doubtful.

The trio were signed for a combined cost of £150 million and will be likely jump ahead of the academy product, who has struggled for form after a long-term Achilles injury.
He made 22 appearances last season and managed one goal and five assists.
Lampard gave him a run out last night at Brighton but he unable to make an impact off the bench. More

Thiago Alcantara has not made transfer decision with Man Utd and Liverpool in tug-of-war over cut-price Bayern star

Manchester United and Liverpool are fighting over a potential transfer for the star who could prove to be a bargain buy.
He is believed to be lining up a new challenge after seven years with Champions League winners Bayern.
But Thiago let rip at a press conference on Friday while on international duty ahead of Spain’s game against Ukraine today.

He said: “I have not told anyone that I’m leaving.

“Every year, they put me in a different club.
“For me my future is tomorrow’s game and there is nothing more to say.
“I neither care nor am I interested.
    “What interests me is tomorrow.”

    2

The 29-year-old has one year left on his contract and the German champs are desperate to prevent him leaving for free next summer.
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are thought to be leading the race for the midfielder, who is likely to be available for around £26.6million.
But despite already adding £39m Donny van de Beek to their midfield, Manchester United are also reportedly set to hold talks with the former Barcelona man.
