Barcelona confirm Robert Lewandowski transfer talks but Xavi admits it will be battle to land Bayern Munich legend

BARCELONA have confirmed that they are in talks to sign Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski. The Polish striker is reportedly keen on a move away from the Bundesliga champions and is only talking to Barcelona about a transfer, and no other clubs, with Chelsea apparently interested.

Barca manager Xavi said: “Lewandowski? He’s one of the options, one of the possibilities.
“There are negotiations, he has one year of his contract left, it won’t be easy.”
Lewandowski, 33, is waiting for Bayern to decide if they want to sell their star man and who their replacement will be, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

And he was nearly close to an agreement with Madrid.
Rudiger has been imperious for Chelsea over the past 12 months since the arrival of manager Thomas Tuchel.

Negotiations between Liverpool and Bayern are yet to get underway, but it’s understood they are keen on a move for the forward.
The report goes on to state contract discussions between the Reds and Mane are proving to be ‘difficult’.
