      Omar Richards joins Nottingham Forest from Bayern Munich for £10m as Prem new boys’ transfer spending spree continues

      NOTTINGHAM FOREST have completed the signing of Omar Richards from Bayern Munich.The full-back has signed a four-year deal with Forest in a deal which will reportedly cost the club £10million in transfer fees.

      The 24-year-old returns to England after one season in Germany with Bayern, having previously been with Fulham and Reading in England.
      Richards made 17 appearances for the Bundesliga champions last season.

      Matthijs de Ligt ‘CANCELS Chelsea transfer talks in bid to push through Bayern Munich move from Juventus’

      CHELSEA target Matthijs de Ligt has reportedly put his talks to join the club on hold in order to wait for a bid from Bayern Munich. The Dutchman is wanted by the Blues this summer following the losses of centre-halves Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.

      De Ligt, 22, put in a transfer request at Juventus and is heading for the exit.
      Chelsea had been the front-runners to sign the former Ajax star, previously seeing an offer of £34million plus either Timo Werner or Christian Pulisic rejected.
      However, De Ligt has decided to put talks with the Blues on hold in order to allow Bayern to try to strike an agreement, says Christian Falk.
      This follows on from their previous offer of £68m, which will be matched by Bayern once they table their next bid, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

      Sky Germany claim the Premier League new boys are working hard on getting a deal done for the Englishman.
      The clubs are said to be in direct contact over the 24-year-old with a fee of around £9million being discussed.
      Richards has struggled for game time since joining the Bundesliga champions last May on a free.
      The left back made just 17 appearances in all competitions as his team marched to a tenth successive title.

      Before joining them Richards was a key player for Reading, coming through the youth system before making 104 appearances for the first team.
      Richards had spent eight years at Reading after being released by Fulham at the age of 15.
      Forest look set to be busy in the upcoming transfer window after being promoted to the Premier League for the first time since 1989/99.
