      HARRY KANE will join Bayern Munich this summer, according to ex-Arsenal star Lukas Podolski.The Tottenham striker, 29, has been strongly linked with the German giants, who are confident they will sign him.

      Kane is into the final year of his contract with Spurs, causing speculation about his future in North London.
      According to Podolski, the England star will join his former club Bayern before the transfer window closes.
      Asked whether Bayern will complete the deal, he told Sky in Germany: “I think so.
      “When Uli Hoeness makes a statement like that, there’s something behind it. He is a man of clear words.”

      Podolski also added: “For Bayern, Harry Kane is the only striker who can really help them.
      “He’s at the right age, the classic No9 and he scores the goals – a player who fits perfectly to Bayern.”
      Honorary Bayern president Uli Hoeness is equally confident his club will sign the Premier League icon, amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
      He previously told Sport1: “Harry Kane has clearly signalled in all conversations that his decision stands – and if he keeps to his word, then we’ll get him, because then Tottenham will have to buckle.”

      Talks are understood to have taken place between the player and both clubs, although Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou is less convinced.
      Responding to Hoeness’ comments, Postecoglou said in a press conference: “If other clubs want to talk about our contracted players, that’s more of an issue for them than us.”
      Manchester United are also reportedly interested in Kane and could move to sign him for free next summer.
      Spurs themselves are already preparing for a potential exit, having identified Dusan Vlahovic as a possible replacement.
      The Serbian is up for sale at Juventus, who have valued him at £77million. More

      The Dutchman is now set to play in La Liga for the first time in his career with a free transfer agreed, pending a medical.
      Blind, who has 101 international caps, would become the first Dutch star to play for the Catalan club.
      Since leaving Manchester United in 2018 it hasn’t been all plain sailing for Blind, including a scary injury in a Champions League match for Ajax when he complained about suffering from dizziness in 2019.
      A medical examination revealed he had a heart muscle inflammation, but Blind has continued to play after having an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) fitted to regulate his heartbeat.

      He later collapsed in a friendly against Hertha Berlin with his team-mates quickly instantly racing over to him and medics arriving seconds later.
      Erik ten Hag, the Man Utd manager who was Blind’s Ajax boss at the time, revealed “his ICD went off and he was subbed off straight away”.
      Blind returned to football but later admitted pal Christian Eriksen’s collapse on the pitch at Euro 2020 , during which he died before being resuscitated, led to him “overcoming a mental hurdle” to keep playing.
      Despite this Blind recovered and starred for the Netherlands at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

      BAYERN MUNICH manager Thomas Tuchel has met with Harry Kane in London to discuss a stunning transfer, reports in Germany say. The England captain has just 12 months left on his current Tottenham contract, fuelling speculation he could be sold this season.

      And Bayern were the first to bid when the summer window opened but their offer of £60.2million plus add-ons was rejected.
      The German champions are set to go in again with a second improved package.
      And according to BILD, Bayern boss Tuchel even visited Kane’s home in the capital to discuss a move.
      It is added the Tottenham legend told Tuchel it would appeal to him to win with Bayern the Champions League.

      Kane lives in a £17million home with his wife Katie and three children Ivy, Vivienne Jane and Louis.
      The mansion includes an indoor gym and seven bedrooms with Spurs memorabilia everywhere.

      But his 14-year Tottenham love affair could come to an end as the star striker looks to win his first piece of silverware.
      Manchester United have strongly been linked with Kane but no official offer has come through.

      Chelsea are now managed by Mauricio Pochettino, who enjoyed an incredible relationship with the forward during his time in North London.
      But Spurs chairman Daniel Levy’s strained and storied relationship with the Blues makes a deal incredibly unlikely.
      It gives Bayern a clear path to signing Kane as they look to find a replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
      Lewandowski left for Barcelona in 2022 after eight years in Munich, where he won EIGHT league titles and the Champions League.
      Bayern’s top scorer last season was winger Serge Gnabry, followed by Jamal Musiala.
      And despite still having Thomas Muller and ex-Liverpool wideman Sadio Mane, they are without a recognised No9.
      That has led the Bundesliga kings to make Kane their No1 target this summer.

      Now Bayern are ready to test Tottenham’s resolve with an £80million bid after seeing a previous offer rejected.
      SunSport understands Daniel Levy will remain stubborn in negotiations but that has not deterred Bayern’s advances.
      And according to German journalist Christian Falk the Bundesliga champions are confident of striking a deal due to an alleged agreement Kane has with Levy.
      Bayern are even said to be prepared to wait until when next summer when Kane will be out of contract and available on a free transfer.

      Falk, who writes for Bild, told BBC 5 Live: “Thomas Tuchel is working like a manager in England so can decide who is coming and who is not and there have been talks with Kane’s family.
      “Bayern Munich would not have made an offer if they weren’t sure that Harry Kane would go. First step was clearing the detail with Kane’s family and then making the offer.

      “The point is that Bayern are in another league. Kane has a gentleman’s agreement with Daniel Levy that he is allowed to go to another league if there is another offer that he is really interested in.
      “Now, yes, Harry Kane wants the move because you know the thing about Tottenham and titles. If you go to Bayern Munich, it’s a title guaranteed and this is the main interest for Kane at the moment.

      “If he won’t move this summer, then they will wait. Tottenham have to decide if they want to get €80m, or even €90m, but next year there is no money for Harry Kane.”

      And the club insist no bid has been lodged for their star man.
      Real Madrid had been keen but have reportedly cooled their interest.
