GLOATING Germans have put the boot in on Spurs fans as they celebrate Harry Kane’s likely transfer to Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga champions are understood to have netted the England skipper after chasing a deal all summer.

Kane, 30, is due to fly to Germany today to undergo a medical ahead of a £104million move accepted by Tottenham this week, reports say.
But as Spurs fans who have watched the striker score more than 250 goals during his 12-year stint are left reeling, the smug German press has been having a field day crowing about the transfer.
With Kane’s face splashed across the top spots of German news sites, many are celebrating poaching the “excellent” goal machine – insisting he could propel Bayern to glory on the world stage.
One German outlet even attacked Spurs’ negotiations as “childish” while others brazenly moaned Kane might get “cold feet”.
    More on Harry Kane
In a comment piece by Sports Illustrated, the outlet boasted that Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel and Kane are “a dream duo” and snidely remarked that he could help the club win the Champions League.
It adds: “They [Bayern] are now digging deep into their own pockets and probably signing an absolute world star – which could transform them into the upcoming Champions League winners.
“If Harry Kane’s transfer works out, FC Bayern will finally be a world club like Real Madrid or Manchester City again!
“The Englishman has the ability to shoot Bayern alone into the CL final with 40 goals or more this season.”

Meanwhile, another outlet Ran hailed Kane as the “perfect solution in the storm”.
The piece reads: “He fits perfectly into FC Bayern’s profile: He is a leader, hungry for the title, physically robust, two-footed, strong in the air and has an excellent nose for goals in and outside the penalty area.
“The Englishman would be the perfect solution for the record champions.”
And German football expert Carsten Germann, who has written for papers including BILD, twisted the knife by saying the move could finally see him lift a trophy.
He told The Sun: “I think that Harry Kane will benefit the Bundesliga.”
“And especially for Bayern Munich, it will really raise the quality of their team.
“Harry Kane could be the missing link for their style of play, as they had no central strike last season.
“It is a really big occasion for Kane as well – for him to win the first title in his career.
“He will be granted an absolute super-star status here in Germany but also the pressure on him and Bayern will be extremely high.”
Sportschau also crowed about how it could be Kane’s chance to bag a title.
It says: “Kane finally wants to win big titles.
“So far he hasn’t managed to do that with England’s national team and with Tottenham Hotspur.”
German tabloid newspaper BILD bragged how Bayern looks set to snare “a world-class player at the peak of his career”.
It adds: “Here comes England’s captain, who has scored 213 goals in 320 games for a club from the second tier of the Premier League.
“100 million euros is a hell of a lot of money. But FC Bayern invested it damn well.”
And daily paper Frankfurter Rundschau took the chance not only to crow about Kane but to also take swipes at the Premier League – and English food.
The jibe reads: “For the English Premier League, which starts the season this Friday, Harry Kane is a bitter loss.
“Unpleasant enough for the powerhouse of world football that a global opponent is currently emerging in Saudi Arabia for whom there really are no financial limits.

Sites including Sportschau are gloating over Kane’s reported transferCredit: sportschau
“And while the Premier League remains the most exciting league for now, the fact that the second-best goalscorer in league history prefers to continue his career on the continent doesn’t sit well with the English.
“But what do they like? A little mint sauce on it, then it will work again.”
And a piece on Sports1 gloats about how Kane is set to leave Spurs before his contract finishes.
It adds: “If everything goes according to plan, Kane would become the most expensive purchase in Bundesliga history less than a year before his contract expires in London – and the most expensive sale in Spurs’ club history.”
But despite much of the German media blustering about the transfer, some outlets have slammed how long it has taken to thrash out.
Spurs agreed to receive an initial fee of £86m plus easily-attainable add-ons to round it up to £104m for Kane this week.
It was then up to Kane to decide his future with only one year remaining on his contract – and up until Thursday afternoon, the forward was believed to be keen on staying in North London.
But late on Thursday night, the England captain is reported to have opted to move to Germany and agreed personal terms, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.
Kane is understood to have penned a four-year deal worth £415,000 a week – more than double his Tottenham earnings.
But in a fresh twist in the saga, Spurs have revoked Kane’s permission to fly to Germany, despite the England captain being given the green light to undergo a Bayern medical late last night.
However, according to Sky Sports Germany, Tottenham have how hindered the move completely by revoking that permission.
Passauer Neue Presse branded the lengthy negotiations as “child’s play”, adding: “If the proud Munich team were in a position of strength, they should have slammed the door in Kane’s face.”
The Englishman has the ability to shoot Bayern alone into the CL final with 40 goals or more this seasonGerman media
Neuer Ruhr Zeitung echoed the frustrations, branding the dad-of-three a “tasteless aftertaste”.
It adds: “This must annoy the German champions from Munich. Those responsible are willing to dig deep into their pockets for an attacker who, mind you, only has one year left on his contract.
“There is talk of a transfer fee of over 100 million euros, but no German club has broken the three-digit million barrier so far.
“If that’s not enough, Munich would be embarrassed and the Bundesliga with it.”
Should he leave, Kane will do so as Spurs’ record goalscorer after 19 years at the club, joining aged 11.
He scored 280 goals in 435 games for Spurs – 213 came in the Premier League.
That means he leaves England 47 goals shy of Alan Shearer’s Premier League goalscoring record of 260.
It is expected Kane will be unveiled in a press conference at some point next week before Bayern’s opening Bundesliga game against Werder Bremen on Friday night.
It has left Spurs fans heartbroken – especially as the footballer appears to have been removed from images on the club’s website.
One posted: “Absolutely gutted, this hurts. He gave us so many great moments but we never backed his ambition if we’re being truthful. Our greatest ever player.”

Harry Kane ‘increasingly likely’ to stay at Spurs despite being given go-ahead for £104m move to Bayern Munich

Last night Harry, 30, was still yet to sign — despite vowing his future must be decided before Spurs start the new season on Sunday.
But amid reports that he was having second thoughts and would stay, Bayern sources said the club were confident of landing Harry.
The England striker has the choice between playing Champions League football and finally winning silverware or remaining in London and trying to break the Premier League goal record.
Kane is understood to have settled personal terms which would see his wages double, and has taken his family to scout for a new home.

But there is speculation that he has become worried about uprooting pregnant wife Katie, 29, and children Ivy, four, Vivienne Jane, two, and Louis, six months.
Bayern, who have been European champions six times and won the German title 33 times, were sure they had their man.
They have agreed a deal with Tottenham worth up to £104million after long weeks of negotiations.
Spurs — who last won a major trophy when they lifted the League Cup in 2008 — had previously turned down three offers.

Kane then set a deadline to bring the will-he-won’t-he saga to a head.
He insisted it had to be sorted before new boss Ange Postecoglou’s men kick off the new campaign at Brentford on Sunday.
Harry’s delay in signing the deal yesterday led to fears among some that he was turning his back on a £22million-a-year payday.
Amid all the confusion late last night, it was reported that Kane has agreed to join Bayern on a proposed four-year contract.
He was leaning towards staying at his boyhood club but opted to leave at the last minute, according to sports website The Athletic.
He has been given permission by Spurs to travel for medical tests that will finalise the deal, it was said.
But other sources said the complexity of the deal honed by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy meant it “might not be concluded quickly”.
A breakthrough would end a stellar Spurs career spanning 20 years at the North London club.
Kane netted 30 times last season despite playing in a lacklustre Spurs side which finished ia disappointing eighth.
That left the North London club without European football.
He was said to have been impressed by the siren call of Bayern’s former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel and the hope of Champions League glory with the current Bundesliga champs.
And though he might not be a drinker, his mates could have been looking forward to him living near the world-famous Oktoberfest and its beer halls.
The average German spends about £3.50 for a pint — about 36 per cent less for a typical beer than in London.
Even if he did not fancy a stein or two, he could chill out in the Bavarian city’s impressive main park.
Called the Englischer Garten — English Garden — it is the size of 690 football pitches.
Yet Kane — Tottenham’s all-time top goalscorer and winner of the 2018 World Cup golden boot for the Three Lions — is known to have been eyeing up Newcastle legend Alan Shearer’s Premier League record of 260 goals.
He is currently 47 behind Shearer, but has already broken Wayne Rooney’s all-time England scoring record — getting his 56th goal in June.
He has been Spurs’ undoubted star every year since 2014, but has just two League Cup runners-up medals to his name.
He played a four-goal starring role in Sunday’s 5-1 friendly win over Shakhtar Donetsk which could be his last game for Spurs.
The club valued him at £200million at one point and there were claims Levy would have accepted £150million in talks with Manchester City in 2021.
But the continuing wrangle over his future is piling more pressure on the Spurs hierarchy — as they will not make a penny if he leaves on a free transfer after his contract expires next year.
Bayern boss Tuchel has been confident of getting his man, and fans hoped their city would provide a further lure.
It is also home to the spectacular Olympic Park. Built for the 1972 Olympics, it hosts a variety of major concerts.
Kane could also find inspiration for expanding his luxury car collection by visiting the BMW museum.
The city has plenty for his family too — including Hellabrunn Zoo, ranked among the best safari parks in Europe.

Three bids were rejected by Spurs before a fourth bid of around £94.5million was finally approved.
Spurs chief Daniel Levy is understood to have been determined to stick to his reported £100m valuation.
The deal would see Kane receive a salary of £21.6m per year in Germany – £415,000 per week.
However, there is now a belief that Kane could REJECT the move.

Harry Kane could sensationally SNUB Bayern Munich transfer despite Tottenham finally accepting bid

HARRY KANE could REJECT Bayern Munich and decide to stay at Tottenham despite Spurs finally accepting the Germans’ latest bid, according to reports. The Lilywhites had turned down THREE offers from the Bundesliga champions as Kane set a deadline of Sunday for his future to be resolved – when Ange Postecoglou’s men kick off their Premier League campaign away at Brentford.

But today it was reported Tottenham had agreed a fee from Bayern consisting of around £94.5million.
Personal terms are already said to have been settled with the England captain, 30.
Now Kane has to decide whether he stays at Spurs and sees out the remainder of his contract – which expires next summer – or if he leaves for Germany.
The Telegraph understands that Bayern and manager Thomas Tuchel remain confident the striker wants to join the six-time European champions.

However, the same report states there is “doubt” about him approving the transfer given the saga has rumbled on until the eve of the new season.
And, according to Sky Sports, he is “increasingly likely” to stay at Tottenham despite the accepted bid.
Earlier this week, it was claimed the Three Lions skipper was “leaning towards staying” in North London.

Bayern are set to argue that the hold up in negotiations was not their fault as they gave Spurs a deadline of last Friday to respond to their third bid.
This was ignored by Tottenham chief Daniel Levy, before Bayern made yet another offer which was accepted.
Meanwhile, Kane has already built up a strong relationship with new boss Postecoglou and is believed to be enjoying working under the Australian, 57.
The Bayern deal would see him earn £21.6m per year – which works out as £415,000 per week.
That’s nearly double the £200,000-a-week he’s on at Spurs.
Kane is the Lilywhites’ all-time top scorer with 280 goals in 435 appearances.
