      BARCELONA star Frenkie de Jong doesn’t want to join Manchester United and would prefer Chelsea, reports suggest.United recently reached a £71.5million agreement with Barca to sign De Jong, 25, but issues arose over £17m he’s owed by the Catalan giants.

      According to Sport, the midfielder is also not keen to move to Old Trafford this summer as he reportedly has serious concerns over the “erratic” way in which the club is being run.
      The Netherlands international is not thrilled with the idea of moving to Manchester nor the fact he will have no Champions League football this coming season as well.
      That is why the Dutchman reportedly prefers a move to Chelsea this summer.

      CHELSEA skipper Cesar Azpilicueta is growing increasingly optimistic that he will be granted a move to Barcelona, according to reports.SunSport exclusively revealed yesterday that the Blues had agreed a £55million deal to sign Jules Kounde – which in turn frees up Azpilicueta to leave.

      Kounde’s imminent arrival at Chelsea and Azpilicueta’s departure are linked, according to The Times.
      Boss Thomas Tuchel is set to have sufficient defensive options when Kounde finally signs, with Kalidou Koulibaly already recruited and the Blues still linked with Presnel Kimpembe.
      Azpilicueta, 32, often filled in at centre-back last season and the incomings ease the pressure on Tuchel in the position.
      It’s claimed Azpilicueta is now growing more hopeful that he will be allowed to leave in order to join Barcelona.

      Blues stalwart Azpilicueta is eager to leave this summer in order to return him to Spain.

      But Nagelsmann and Bayern are fuming Barca managed to get the deal over the line.
      There was already bad blood between the two clubs following the failed breakaway European Super League last year.
      And now the relationship has worsened as Barca – who were in £1billion of debt last year – have somehow managed to land another big signing.

      Chelsea ‘inform Barcelona they want Frenkie de Jong transfer’ with Blues ready to steal midfielder from Man Utd

      CHELSEA have reportedly told Barcelona they are interested in signing Frenkie de Jong.The 25-year-old Dutch international has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer.

      However, the deal has been held up due to Barcelona’s inability to pay the player the £24million they owe him in unpaid wages.
      And now United could find themselves edged out of securing his signature as Chelsea prepare to come to the table.
      According to Relevo, the Blues have told Barca they are working on a ‘formal proposal’ to bring De Jong to Stamford Bridge.

      De Jong and United appeared to be a logical match given new boss Erik ten Hag coached the midfielder during his time in Holland.
      But murmurings of a Chelsea bid have been rumbling for a while, with owner Todd Boehly flying to meet Barca chiefs earlier this month to discuss De Jong as well as other deals between the two clubs.
      And now claims of a concrete offer will put the fear into United chiefs who had hoped to have finalised the transfer by now.
      United will feel they are still in pole position to clinch a £72m move for the man who joined Barcelona in 2019.
