The switch sees Walsh, 25, become the eighth senior player to leave City this summer.
The move comes two years after Chelsea broke the women’s transfer record with a swoop for Pernille Harder for a reported fee of more than £250,000
It will see Lionesses ace Walsh – who grew up admiring the talents of former Spain and Manchester City hero David Silva – become the second English top-flight ace to sign for the Catalan giants.
She joins England team-mate Lucy Bronze at the club who have won a record seven Spanish top-flight titles.

It comes after City reportedly rejected multiple offers for Walsh, who was among England’s standout performers during the Euros.
Rochdale-born Walsh won a player of the match award for her display in the Lionesses’ 2-1 defeat of Germany in the final
Her move to Barca comes at a crucial time for the Catalan club.
Their captain and midfield superstar Alexia Putellas is currently out of action following an ACL injury sustained shortly before the Euros in July.

Walsh, who began her playing career at Blackburn in 2008 before joining Man City in 2014, has been described as having “the best football brain” by former Citizens gaffer Nick Cushing.
City have been hit by a raft of departures and England veterans Ellen White, Jill Scott and Karen Bardsley all decided to call time on their playing careers this summer.
Other big-name players who have left include Bronze, Georgia Stanway, Canada forward Janine Beckie, and Scotland playmaker Caroline Weir.
And Weir returned to haunt her old club netting the goal that saw Real Madrid knock them out of the Champions League qualifying round for a second successive season.
The exodus has left some fans concerned about the club’s league title and top three chances.
Telegraph Sport reports City are thought to be working on signing new players ahead of the WSL transfer deadline of 5pm on Thursday for domestic acquisitions.

The window for overseas signings closes at midnight on Thursday.

Last year the Bosnian was shipped out on loan to Turkey, where he spent a season with Besiktas playing 26 times.
And Pjanic would have not been thrilled to see Barcelona massively bolstering their squad without any major departures in central midfield.
Xavi has a whole host of options to choose from, with Pjanic some way down the pecking order in terms of ranking.
His options are so vast in fact, that Manchester United and Chelsea target Frenkie de Jong has been limited mostly to a bench role with Sergio Busquets, Gavi, and Pedri taking up slots in midfield.

Barcelona are understood to have had two bids to bring her to the Nou Camp rejected.
Walsh’s inch-perfect pass set up Ella Toone’s opener in their historic 2-1 win over Germany in the July 31 Wembley final.
Her vision and deft passing have seen her become a sought-after player.
But asked about her future ahead of tonight’s Women’s World Cup qualifier with Luxembourg in Stoke, Walsh said: “I’m here to talk about the game. I’m not here to talk about what’s going on club-wise.”
Walsh heaped praise on England head coach Sarina Wiegman for bringing out the best in her.

Man Utd and Liverpool joined in Gavi transfer race by Bayern Munich with Barcelona star available for FREE in summer

MANCHESTER UNITED and Liverpool have been joined by Bayern Munich in the race to sign Barcelona midfielder Gavi, according to reports. The two Premier League giants have been heavily linked with a move for the 18-year-old prodigy.

It is a proposition too good to pass up as the Spaniard’s contract expires in the summer, so he will be available on a FREE at the end of the season.
And according to Bild, Bayern remain interested in trying to acquire his signature.
Barca president Joan Laporta recently confirmed an offer has been made to Gavi as they are keen to renew his contract.
But he is currently refusing to put pen to paper, something which is baffling the Catalan giants.

Speaking to L’Esportiu, Laporta said: “Gavi’s agent has the new contract proposal on the table for a long time but he has not accepted yet.
“We don’t understand… I don’t like the situation. I encourage them to accept it as soon as possible, because it also helps us plan.”
It has been reported that Gavi has a release clause of £41million, something Man Utd, Liverpool and Bayern could have chosen to trigger in the most recent window.
But with the player potentially available for nothing in 12 months time, the sensible option was to wait.

It is widely accepted that Barcelona see Gavi and fellow Spanish teenager Pedri as the future of their midfield.
But with Europe’s top clubs chasing him and Xavi’s men in a perilous financial situation, they may not have a choice but to let him leave the Nou Camp.
Gavi has made 51 appearances for Barcelona, scoring twice and assisting a further six goals.
The Spanish outfit have won three LaLiga games in a row after kicking off their campaign with a goalless draw at home to Rayo Vallecano.
They have already netted 11 times, thrashing Real Sociedad, Real Valladolid and Sevilla. More

Lewandowski, 34, joined Barca from Bayern Munich in a £42.5million transfer this summer after declaring his desire to quit the German champions.
He put pen to paper on a deal at the Nou Camp until 2026.
And now the finer details of the paperwork have been revealed by Cadena SER Catuluna.
Incredibly, the Poland star will get paid a net £8.6m in the current 2022-23 season – which works out as £165,000 per week after tax.

This will jump to £11.2m (£215,000 per week) next term and then £13.8m (£265,000 per week) in 2024-25 before dropping back to £11.2m in the final year, by which time he will be nearly 38.
Any club wanting to buy Lewandowski during the course of this deal would need to trigger his £430m release clause.
However, Barca have the option to terminate his contract early under special circumstances.
If Lewandowski plays less than 55 per cent of matches in the 2024-25 season, the club will be able to rip up his deal and release him.

There are also a series of bonuses in the contract including up to an extra £500,000 should he win LaLiga during his spell in Spain and £1.72m if he secures a league, Copa del Rey and Champions League treble.
However, there are no bonuses for only winning the Copa del Rey.
Lewandowski is the main striker in Xavi’s squad, especially after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s £12m transfer to Chelsea on deadline day.
And he has made a lightning start to life at the Nou Camp.
Lewandowski failed to score against Rayo Vallecano on the opening day but then struck doubles against Real Sociedad and Real Valladolid plus another goal against Sevilla to take his tally to five in four matches. More
