Footage released by El Chiringuito TV, reveals Messi departing in a black vehicle while Suarez then follows separately.
It comes after the 33-year-old demanded Barca exercise a clause in his contract that would allow him to quit for nothing with immediate effect.
But the Spanish giants believe the stipulation expired expired on June 10, with the Argentine superstar under contract until the summer of 2021.
Club and player seem set for a legal battle over the clause, with Barcelona believing his €700m (£629m) buy-out clause is still valid.

It has sparked a transfer battle between Europe’s rich list.

Manchester City, United, Chelsea, PSG and Inter Milan have all been linked with the Argentine superstar.
But Suarez’s agent Alejandro Balbi, admitted the 33-year-old Uruguayan’s next step could be dependant on the outcome of Messi’s transfer saga.
Balbi told TyC Sports via Goal: “Messi’s future will have an influence because they are best friends.

“There is a lot of brotherly love between them; they are inseparable, always together.”

Lionel Messi transfer to PSG ‘impossible’ because £95MILLION salary is more than Neymar and Mbappe combined

LIONEL MESSI’S transfer to Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly impossible – because his £95million salary is more than Neymar and Kylian Mbappe’s COMBINED.
The Argentina great, 33, told Barcelona he wanted to quit the club he joined almost 20 years ago following a major fallout with the board.

    3

And it was thought mega-rich PSG, essentially bankrolled by the Qatari state, would be among the front-runners tussling for Messi’s signature.
But according to L’Equipe, even the Ligue 1 champions will not be able to afford the mind-boggling wages – regardless of whether there is a transfer fee.
Messi earns around £64m per year in basic wages – approximately £1.2m per week.
But he then pockets extra for signing, staying and winning trophies.

It is said appearing in 60 per cent of matches until his Barcelona contract expiry bumps his average earnings up to £95m.
Add in winning the treble and Fifa’s Player of the Year award to boost that by another £15m.
The crazy numbers dwarf the money earned by PSG’s two current superstars.
Neymar bags around £620,000 per week as the French side’s highest-paid player, working out as £32.2m across 12 months.

That meant he was on more than the entire Atalanta squad they scraped past in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Mbappe is next on around £280,000 per week – or £14.5m a year – while Thiago Silva, whose contract expired and is now set to sign for Chelsea, was on £190,000 per week, which equated to just shy of £10m across the year.
It means together, the PSG front pair earn around £47m – well below Messi’s basic salary before bonus are even taken into consideration.
And with PSG seemingly out of the question, Manchester City will be even more confident of a deal.
The Etihad club are in pole position to sign Messi should he be allowed to leave Barca – with Pep Guardiola ready for a reunion and reports suggesting Jorge Messi, the legend’s dad, has flown to Manchester to discuss a transfer.
City chief executive Ferran Soriano believes that his side will successfully swoop in and take the six-time Ballon d’Or winner for free.

The 53-year-old, however, has reached out to Messi’s camp to assure them that City can afford to sign him – even if they have to pay a transfer fee on top of his mammoth weekly wages.
Messi believes he is entitled to leave for free due to a clause in his contract but the Nou Camp side insist anyone wanting to buy their captain must stump up £631m.
Chelsea and Inter Milan continue to be linked, but Manchester United are thought to be out of the chase.

Lionel Messi’s dad ‘already in Manchester negotiating transfer’ with City after telling Barcelona he wants out

LIONEL MESSI’S dad is ‘already in Manchester negotiating a transfer,’ according to stunning reports.
The Barcelona great, 33, is set to quit his childhood club after nearly 20 years following a major fall out with the hierarchy.

Manchester City are the 5/2 favourites to land the Argentine if he does leave, reuniting with Pep Guardiola.
And according to RAC1 and TyC Sports, Jorge Messi has landed in England to discuss terms over a sensational Etihad switch.
The reports add that a two-year deal is being mulled over by Messi Sr.
However, it is still unclear whether a transfer fee would need to be paid.

Messi faxed the board to inform them he wants to quit after growing furious with their treatment of him and, most recently, Luis Suarez.
He held a personal talk with Ronald Koeman following the Dutchman’s appointment as Quique Setien’s replacement last week.

    What we know so far:
In their discussions, Messi revealed he sees his future outside the club while the new manager told him his “privileges” were over.
Messi, whose deal runs out in 2021, believes a clause in his contract means he can leave for free this summer.
However, Barcelona reckon that offer expired back in June.
The counter argument to that being the clause is thought to end ten days after the Champions League final and therefore has been pushed back to August due to the delayed season.
Legal teams are set to work out exactly what the contract situation is but Barcelona are insisting Messi can only leave if a team matches his £631million release clause.

Reports earlier suggested Messi even contacted Guardiola, his former mentor and boss, over a switch to the Etihad.
Together the pair won two Champions League trophies and three LaLiga titles as Messi was guided into a false No9 role.
It was thought Paris Saint-Germain would be the Argentine’s preferred choice where he could link up with Kylian Mbappe and former team-mate Neymar.
But the French champions are out of the running, as are Manchester United.

Chelsea and Inter Milan, however, continued to be linked.
But Barcelona fans are understandably desperate for the Argentine to stay with many taking to the streets outside the Nou Camp to insist the club keep Messi.
Angry supporters congregated at the club’s stadium and protested against president Josep Maria Bartomeu, demanding his resignation.

Ajax confirm Luis Suarez transfer interest after Barcelona boss Koeman orders striker to LEAVE in one-minute phone call

AJAX have confirmed their transfer interest in Luis Suarez after Ronald Koeman ordered the striker to leave in a one-minute phone call.
The Uruguayan striker, 33, is on the hunt for a new club as he looks set to become a victim of the Nou-look Barcelona.

    2

Koeman replaced Quique Setien last week and wasted no time beginning his restructure.
And Ajax are plotting a move to re-sign their former forward.
After reports of a £13.5million bid, director of football Marc Overmars, who spent four years as a player at Barca, told Sport his side will do their best.
But he is not confident a deal will be reached.

Overmars said: “The chances of Luis Suarez joining us are quite small. We’re trying but is difficult.”
Suarez is understood to have been left stunned and very upset by the way the club are forcing him out, especially with the very brief telephone conversation.
Barcelona-based newspaper Sport detail how the striker feels singled out for the team’s wider failings after their shock 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League – a game in which Suarez scored.
Furthermore, he is said to be upset at receiving just a 60-second telephone call from Koeman with radio silence from club president Josep Maria Bartomeu on the matter.

And the treatment of Suarez played a contributing factor in Lionel Messi telling Barcelona he will quit.
Speaking last week before hearing from the club, Suarez was desperate to be informed what was happening and had no qualms seeing his role reduced to being a substitute.
He said: “It would be good if the person in charge who chooses speaks directly to me.
“I also want the best for the club and my idea today is to continue, but if the club decides that I am expendable, I have no problem talking to those who decide.
“I would accept a substitute role, as I accepted it throughout my career.
“The competition is always good and if the coach thinks I have to start from the bench, I have no problem helping the team with the role they give me. I can still contribute a lot to this club.”
Barcelona are already seeking a replacement for their third-highest goalscorer with Gabriel Jesus on the radar.

Teams from the Premier League and Serie A have been in contact with Suarez over a transfer – although he will not decide until a proper solution with Barcelona is reached.
Paris Saint-Germain are also closely monitoring the Uruguayan’s situation in Spain while David Beckham’s MLS outfit Inter Miami are keen on him.
And, as Overmars predicted, it is unlikely Suarez will return to the Dutch outfit he spent three-and-a-half seasons with before joining Liverpool.

Messi would be a £100m financial drain – shirt sales, sponsors and winning every trophy could never balance the books

LIONEL MESSI would be a financial drain, not a cash cow, for any new club he joined.
Which is why only the likes of Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain, who are owned by nation states able to cover the potential losses, can consider rescuing him from his Barcelona “hell”.

    3

Could Manchester City pull off the signing of the century?
Either club could win domestic Trebles with a Champions League cherry on top for every season of Messi’s stay, and still not break even.
Messi’s current package at the Nou Camp, in basic wages, bonuses and image rights, is worth £100m a year in round figures.
It is highly unlikely, probably impossible, that any club could generate that much in additional commercial revenue and prize money in one season, let alone in every year of his lucrative contract.

The idea that shirt sales alone would cover the cost of signing Messi – even if Barcelona generously waived a transfer fee – is nonsense.

Most clubs earn, at best, 15 per cent of the retail price. An adult large size shirt of City’s new kit with Sergio Aguero’s name and number on the back, plus all the patches, costs £120 from the official club store.
If City make £18 on each sale (a big if), they would have to sell 5,555,556 Messi shirts to cover his wages. In 2018/19, City sold a total of 1,085,000 shirts worldwide, according to industry sources.
Market leaders Manchester United managed 3,120,000. So even if signing Messi generated enough interest to sell more than 2m more shirts, that would add up to about £36m in extra revenue.
There’s no question that signing Messi would make a club more attractive to sponsors.

After Juventus signed Cristiano Ronaldo in 2018, they agreed a new deal with Adidas worth £44m a year, double the previous figure.
Shirt sponsor Jeep also renewed and is paying £22.5m more per year (although it’s ultimately controlled by Juve’s owners, the Agnelli family).
So that’s about £45m a year in extra income that could be attributed to Ronaldo.
Juventus’ commitment to Ronaldo over the four years of his contract, including the £100m transfer fee, is about £300m or £75m a year.

    3

    COVID-19 UNCERTAINTY
Therefore, in the short-term, they are making a loss (especially as he has not brought them Champions Leagues success).
But the deal was also designed to be a statement that boosted the Turin club’s long-term standing.
Juve’s number of followers on Instagram, Facebook and their equivalents in vital emerging markets like China, has increased by a factor of three or more in the wake of Ronaldo’s move.
That interest in turn makes the club more attractive to sponsors and, perhaps, to the next Ronaldo, who might choose to join Juventus over rivals and then generate increased revenue on and off the field.

But those effects are hard to measure and impossible to guarantee, especially in the world as it is now.
You’d normally say that signing Messi would definitely make a bigger positive financial impact than Ronaldo’s move
But these aren’t normal times. The Covid-19 pandemic means potential sponsors, as well as consumers, are tightening their belts and the two trends are linked.
There’s no point paying more money to advertise your brand if people don’t have the money to buy it.
Firms like Google, Amazon and Apple still have the cash to splash and could afford a vanity investment which cost them more than it generated in extra business.

    3

And of course there would be more revenue from sponsorship deals along the wayCredit: Pepsi
    FINANCIAL FAIR PLAY WORRY
City and PSG, though, might have to tear up existing deals, with the associated penalties, to give new backers what they wanted.
There’s another complication that is especially relevant to City and PSG.
Uefa’s Financial Fair Play chiefs would go through the accounts of any club very carefully if they signed Messi.
Since PSG and City have both broken the rules before, the beancounters would use a very fine-toothed comb.
And if state-owned firms like Etihad or Qatar Airways, for example, suddenly found tens of millions of extra sponsorship cash, at a time when the airline business is facing its greatest crisis, Uefa’s beancounters would be all over it and asking for proof that the deal represented fair value.
    MESSI TO BRING TITLE BACK?
    What about prize money?
This is at least one area where you can give a more precise assessment of Messi’s potential value – all figures for potential commercial upsides can only ever be educated guesses.
City finished second in the Premier League last season.
If they had been champions, they would have received an extra £2m or so in merit payments.
If Pep Guardiola’s team had won the Champions League, instead of going out in the quarter finals, Uefa would have paid them about £28m more.
Bonuses from sponsors would have pushed that figure up even higher.
    BARCA FINANCIAL CRISIS
But there is of course no guarantee that having Messi in the team would bring success.
As Barcelona have finally realised. The Catalans are facing a financial crisis BECAUSE they pay Messi so much and have made bad decisions in spending the income that he helps to generate.
There are many clubs who are better run than Barca. But there are very few who could afford to relieve them of the off-field burden of Messi.
In the post-pandemic world, you need owners that are multibillionaires or nation states if you are going to pay a 33-year-old footballer £100m a year.

You’re not going to recoup that money in the short-term or probably in the long-term.
Signing Messi is a vanity project. Which is why City and PSG, the image-polishing sporting arms of the unsavoury regimes of the UAE and Qatar respectively, are by far his most likely destinations.
If he actually leaves, of course.

Lionel Messi ‘lacks respect’ for Barcelona, slams presidential candidate as he insists he wouldn’t mind if he leaves

LIONEL MESSI has been accused of lacking respect for Barcelona by a presidential candidate who would not mind if the club legend left.
Messi shocked Barca bosses on Tuesday after telling them he wants to exercise a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave for free with immediate effect.

    3

Lionel Messi has been accused of lacking respect for Barcelona

The possibility of the Argentine great leaving after 16 years has mounted immense pressure on club president Josep Maria Bartomeu.
Bartomeu has faced calls to step down by Barca fans, and Toni Freixa, a former Nou Camp director, is a replacement candidate.
But he has already risked the wrath of supporters by insisting he would not be fazed by Messi’s departure and slammed the forward’s attitude.
He told Radio Marca: “I am not overly concerned about Messi leaving because everything has an end.

“What is important is that he did it in such an unfortunate way and without respecting the club.”
Messi and Barca seem set for a legal battle over the player’s contract stipulation, which the club believe expired on June 10.
The Argentine superstar is under contract until the summer of 2021 and the Spanish giants claim his €700m (£629m) buy-out clause is still valid.
Freixa has sensationally called for Messi – who has an estimated net worth of £300m – to personally pay out his release clause to force through a move away.

    3

He said: “I am surprised and disappointed as a Barcelona man.
“I am disappointed by what Messi has done.
“The contracts are to be fulfilled and what Messi has to do is come with €700m and leave.”

Andy Murray pleads with Messi to quit Barcelona for Hibs or second team Arsenal after Barcelona transfer bombshell

ANDY MURRAY has pleaded with Lionel Messi to quit Barcelona for Hibernian – or maybe move to a Premier League club as his second choice.

Muzza, whose maternal grandfather Roy Erskine was a professional footballer, is a mad fan of both Hibernian and Arsenal.
And when asked overnight in the US on a Zoom chat about Messi’s transfer request, he laughed: “(Is) he going to join Hibs?”
To their credit, Scottish Premiership side Hibernian joined in the banter, replying on Twitter: “We were trying to keep that quiet until a deal was over the line, Andy.”
Messi, 33, stunned the world of football on Tuesday night when he revealed he had asked Barca bosses to leave this summer.

It is claimed he sent a fax to the club saying he wishes to exercise a clause in his contract that allows him to leave for free with immediate effect.
Murray, 33, said: “I’d like to see him playing in the Premier League.
“I don’t really care who he plays for. I follow Arsenal.  But I’m not thinking he’s going to be joining them.
“It would be great for the Premier League. Maybe we’ll get the opportunity to go and watch him live a few more times.

“I watched him a bit when he was much younger. When I lived in Barcelona I got to see him play a couple of times live.

“I’ve heard a lot of people saying, ‘Oh, could he do it on a cold Wednesday in Stoke’.
“And I’ve always said: ‘Of course he could, because he’s the best player ever. He’d be absolutely fine.’
“I’d like to see him show a few people that he can do that.”
Murray is preparing now for next week’s US Open after losing 6-2 6-2 to Milos Raonic in New York in the Western & Southern Open Last 16 – a result he described as unacceptable. More

Man Utd ‘in contact with Lionel Messi camp over transfer’ as Barcelona see them as one of two clubs who could sign him

MANCHESTER UNITED have made contact with Lionel Messi over a transfer, Spanish reports claim.
It comes after Messi stunned the Nou Camp hierarchy by handing in a transfer request to leave the club.

    1

Man Utd have reportedly made contact with Lionel Messi over a transfer

According to SPORT, United and PSG have made a move for the unsettled 33-year-old.
It is claimed Old Trafford chiefs have been in touch with Messi’s representatives, and believe they have the financial capability to pull off the sensational transfer.
That is despite so far failing to agree terms with Borussia Dortmund over Jadon Sancho, who they value at £108million.
Despite the report, is is understood Messi would favour a reunion with former team-mate Neymar at PSG – who won Ligue 1 last season but lost to Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.

The French champions are desperate to finally become European kings and believe signing the Argentine would set them on their way to doing so.
Elsewhere City boss Pep Guardiola – who managed Messi for four seasons in Spain – is said to have contacted him about a move to Manchester.
They, along with Inter Milan, are understood to have been monitoring his situation as he grew ever frustrated with the Spanish giants last season.

Inter have the backing of Chinese chairman Steven Zhang, son of billionaire Zhang Jindong.

Messi put in place plans to leave after sending a fax to Barca on Tuesday.
The Nou Camp icon demanded he exercise a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave for free with immediate effect.
But the ex-LaLiga kings believe the clause has in fact expired, with the superstar under contract until the summer of 2021.
Club and player seem set for a legal battle, with Barcelona believing the stipulation expired on June 10 and that a €700m (£629m) buy-out clause is still valid.
That would leave very limited buyers financially capable of facilitating a transfer for Messi.
Messi and his team will argue an extension on his clause should be granted as the coronavirus pandemic delayed and extended the season into July and August.
The Barca board will meet immediately with president Josep Maria Bartomeu’s resignation believed to be the only thing that could see Messi have a change of heart.
Even if he is able to depart for nothing, his basic wages per week totals at £1.15m, creating a tremendous stumbling bloke for any potential suitor.
