The midfielder captains Denmark’s Under-16s and had scouts raving about his performances at a tournament last week.
With Panduro in the heart of midfield, they won the competition and he scored against Saudi Arabia.

Aaron Ramsdale ‘handed Arsenal escape route’ as Premier League rivals ready to offer January transfer

WOLVES could move for Aaron Ramsdale in January.Saudi clubs are hovering for Molineux No1 Jose Sa – and Arsenal keeper Ramsdale is hungry for more game time ahead of Euro 2024.
Aaron Ramsdale returned to Arsenal’s side for Saturday’s 1-0 win at Brentford but only played as David Raya couldn’t line up against his parent clubCredit: AFP
Now the Daily Star claim Wolves have put the England star top of their wanted list.
Ramsdale returned to the Gunners’ side for Saturday’s 1-0 Premier League win at Brentford.
But that was only due to summer recruit David Raya not being allowed to play against his parent club.
The suggestion is Wolves fancy a loan deal for Ramsdale with an agreement to buy him permanently in the summer.

That’s because Molineux manager Gary O’Neil is reportedly willing to sell £40million-rated Sa.
O’Neil has a limited transfer budget to operate as Wolves sit in mid-table.
So he would be happy to accept a huge offer for Sa from wealthy Saudi admirers, which would also mean a massive pay rise for the Portugal ace.
Mikel Arteta has praised Ramsdale’s attitude following Raya’s emergence as clear first-choice for the Arsenal chief.

And Arteta as well as his players embraced the stopper after he overcome some shaky moments to keep a clean sheet at the weekend.
There have also been no murmurs of Ramsdale seeking an exit.
But the 25-year-old would love more regular regular action to help secure his place in Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions squad at next summer’s Euros.
So a departure of some sort in January can’t be ruled out. More

Havertz’s late header – which was only his second league goal of the season – sparked pandemonium in the away end at the Gtech Stadium.
It also prompted a jubilant celebration from Gunners legend Wright, who jumped out of the sofa he was sitting on before declaring: “We’re winning the f***ing league! Yes, Kai.”
Wright then proceeded to walk to the TV and start kissing the screen before saying: “All of us Arsenal [fans] hugging together.”
Wright’s incredible reaction was captured by his fellow Match of the Day host Gary Lineker.

Arsenal player ratings: Aaron Ramsdale breathes huge sigh of relief after howler as Declan Rice controls Brentford clash

SUB Kai Havertz stooped to head patient Arsenal top of the Premier League with a late winner at Brentford. But despite that being his first goal in open play for the Gunners, it’s possible Aaron Ramsdale was even more relieved – as the Arsenal keeper got away with a blunder on his recall

Mikel Arteta’s men had pressed in vain until Havertz drifted in to calmly nod home Bukayo Saka’s deep cross.
Here’s how the Gunners rated at the Gtech Community Stadium after they went one point clear of champions Manchester City.
    AARON RAMSDALE – 5
Playing his first Prem game in almost three months, he got away with an almighty cock-up trying to play out from the back early on and looked so nervous after that. Knew he was going to be under intense scrutiny but at least he came away with a clean sheet.
    TAKEHIRO TOMIYASU – 6
His extra height came in useful at the back but he wasn’t able to supply the attacking assistance to Saka which Arsenal usually expect from their right-back. Solid enough defensively, which was his main job.
    READ MORE TOP STORIES
    WILLIAM SALIBA – 7
Primed for the aerial bombardment and he wasn’t disappointed. Relished the challenge and was able to deal with everything that was thrown into the box. Always seemed to have time on the ball and never looked flustered.
    GABRIEL MAGALHAES – 6
Just the no-nonsense defender Arsenal needed to counter Brentford’s physical forwards. Rolled his sleeves up and wasn’t afraid to put his foot through the ball to clear his lines when necessary.
    OLEKSANDR ZINCHENKO – 6
Brentford targeted him with long balls into his corner of the pitch but he was always alert to the danger. Decent in possession as always and put in a couple of testing crosses. Great goal-line clearance to deny Maupay.
    MARTIN ODEGAARD – 5
The skipper looked rusty after his recent lay-off and it took him a long time to get involved.  Flitted in and out of the game but couldn’t get his radar working when Arteta would have been hoping for so much more.
    Most read in Football
    DECLAN RICE – 7
Crucial goal-line clearance to save Ramsdale’s bacon and was Arsenal’s most effective player against Brentford’s ‘industrial’ approach. Constantly driving the team forward and hardly wasted a pass all afternoon.
    LEANDRO TROSSARD – 6
A surprise starter in midfield, he was able to drift into dangerous positions from deep but couldn’t come up with a finishing touch. Thought he’d finally cracked it when he headed home from a yard out but VAR showed he was millimetres offside.
    BUKAYO SAKA – 6
Very quiet by his usual standards. Couldn’t fault his effort and was always showing for the ball but he just couldn’t find a way through a  Brentford penalty-area more crowded than Waterloo station in rush hour.
Finally came up with the goods with the 88th minute cross for Havertz’s winning goal.
    GABRIEL JESUS – 5
Struggled to shake off the giant Pinnock and when he did manage to break free he was unable to find a way past keeper Flekken. Should have buried Saka’s cross before Trossard’s follow-up was ruled out for offside.
    GABRIEL MARTINELLI – 6
Always looking to take on the Brentford defence but constantly found himself running into a brick wall in the congested penalty area.  Like Jesus, he looked jaded after his recent jaunt to Brazil. Booked.
Martin Odegaard prompted the Gunners in their London derbyCredit: Getty
    SUBS
Eddie Nketiah (for Jesus 65mins) Brought some fresh energy up front but couldn’t force a breakthrough. 5
Kai Havertz (for Martinelli 79mins) Arsenal’s unlikely hero, his first goal from open play since his £65million move from Chelsea was enough to take the Gunners top of the table. 7
Ben White (for Odegaard 93mins) Not on long enough to make a difference 5
Jorginho (for Saka 93mins) Not on long enough to make a difference. 5. More

Aaron Ramsdale is one player that could seek out a transferCredit: Reuters
Many players will be on the lookout for a move in the upcoming transfer window in an attempt to boost their hopes of a call-up to their national teams.
This could be a concern for their clubs who may not want to lose certain players and the depth that they provide.
SunSports have identified seven players who need to try and get a transfer should they want to play at the Euros.
    Aaron Ramsdale
The Arsenal goalkeeper has struggled for game time this season thanks to the arrival of David Raya.
    READ MORE IN FOOTBALL
Aaron Ramsdale was one of the club’s best performers last season and earned himself a spot in the England set-up.
It was expected that he would push Jordan Pickford for the starting role at the Three Lions, however, his place is now at risk in the team.
Gareth Southgate may look at stoppers who have played more regularly than Ramsdale which could see the places handed to the likes of Nick Pope, Sam Johnstone or Jason Steele.
Ramsdale has been linked with moves to Chelsea and Newcastle.

Kalvin Phillips is another England player who could lose their spot due to a lack of playing time at his club.
The midfielder has only played four times in the Premier League this season.
Phillips has been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium with the likes of Newcastle and Juventus reportedly interested.
    Donny van de Beek

Donny van de Beek has been a fringe player at Manchester United pretty much since his arrival at the club in 2020.
The midfielder has since lost his spot in the national team, having not played for the Netherlands since 2021.
The 26-year-old has admitted that he will be on the lookout for a new club should his playing time under Erik ten Hag not increase.
    Anthony Martial

Sticking at Old Trafford, Anthony Martial is another player who could make a move in order to save his international career.
Once hyped as the next Thierry Henry, Martial’s career has stuttered in recent times at Man United due to various reasons.
The forward should look to make a move in the January window if he hopes to be in the French team alongside the likes of Kylian Mbappe in Germany.
    Jorginho

Jorginho could be at risk of losing his spot in the Italy national team as they look to try and retain their title.
The midfielder has become a back-up option at Arsenal following the arrival of Declan Rice in the summer.
Jorginho has been linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium with the likes of Barcelona interested.
The Italian’s contract is up at the end of the season so Arsenal could look to cash in while they have a chance.
    Noni Madueke
Noni Madueke has barely played for Chelsea this seasonCredit: Getty
Noni Madueke arrived at Chelsea last January from PSV and a lot was expected from the exciting youngster.
However, under Mauricio Pochettino, the winger has barely featured in the Premier League having only made five appearances.
The Englishman has featured for the England U16, U17s, U18s and U21s so far in his career.
A move to a different club, on loan or permanent, that would guarantee him game time could see him become a late contender for a spot in the England squad.
    Bryan Gil

Bryan Gil has never really had a chance to succeed at Tottenham since his £20million move from Sevilla.
The wide midfielder has only played 15 times in the Premier League since 2021, twice this season.
The once highly-rated Spaniard has played four times for the national side and a return to his homeland could boost his chances of a call-up for the Euros. More

I spent three months on loan at Southport and had to wash my own kit – now I’m starring for Arsenal in Champions League

DESPITE only being 28 years of age, Arsenal keeper David Raya has had something of a journeyman career on the way to making it to the top.The keeper said as much in his interview with Sid Lowe in The Guardian this week where he admitted “My story isn’t the typical footballer’s story”.
David Raya has gone from playing in the National League with Southport to starting in the Champions League for ArsenalCredit: Getty
Raya was brought in to be Arsenal’s no1 this summer in somewhat of a surprise transfer.
His £3million loan move with a £27million option to buy raised eyebrows given that Aaron Ramsdale had looked to have made Arsenal’s no1 spot his own over the past couple of seasons.
Mikel Arteta initially said he would rotate the pair, but Raya soon became the established first choice – both in the Premier League and Champions League.
On his “hard road” to become Arsenal’s first choice keeper, Raya looked back on how he went from a back up keeper in Spanish third division side Cornellia’s youth team to transferring to Blackburn at the age of 16 after the team were invited to train at the Lancashire club.
    READ MORE ARSENAL
Raya joined Blackburn not speaking a word of English but adjusted to the country in the club’s academy before going on loan to Southport to make his first-team debut aged 18.
On his experience at the National League side, Raya told The Guardian: “We trained at the local university. You took your kit home to wash, came with your bag, towel. I was used to that, I’d lived alone since I was 15, but it grounds you, teaches you not to take things for granted.
“There were players for whom the win bonus could be the difference between making it to the end of the month or not, having a bit of money for their kids or paying the water, the gas, electricity, mortgage. If I hadn’t gone, I wouldn’t have see that. Now it’s deeply ingrained in me.”
After returning to Blackburn, Raya initially played as the backup keeper to Jason Steele before becoming first choice in the 2017-18 season when the club were promoted to The Championship.

After a year as Blackburn’s first choice in the second division, he transferred to Brentford where he would help them gain promotion to the Premier League.
Arsenal wanted to sign him off the back of that in 2021, but Brentford were unprepared to sell and the Gunners opted to sign Ramsdale from Sheffield United instead.
It looked as though Raya had missed out on his chance to sign for the Gunners in the two years since that transfer, with the likes of Tottenham and Bayern Munich interested this summer.
But Raya said that after speaking to Arteta, it became clear that he was still wanted at the Emirates: “It was Mikel I spoke to [this summer].”
After this, he told Brentford he wanted to leave and make the step up to play in the Champions League, saying: “The exposure and pressure [at Arsenal] is greater, but you want that because it’s part of being at a big club. You have to deal with that.”
On Raya’s ongoing competition with Ramsdale to establish himself as the team’s no1, Raya said: “Everyone has their opinion. If people want to debate, let them. I have a very good relationship with Aaron and we’re both there to help the team.
“The manager chooses who plays, and that’s it. There are always going to be debates, all the more so at a club like Arsenal.”
Raya is ineligible to face Brentford tonight due to still being on loan from the West London side.
That will give Ramsdale an opportunity to come in and impress in another turn in Arsenal’s ongoing goalkeeper saga. More

Mikel Arteta warns Aaron Ramsdale he has no excuses as forgotten Arsenal star set for first Prem appearance in 83 days

THE message for Aaron Ramsdale is a clear one: You have no excuses.Arsenal’s forgotten man has not pulled on a pair of goalkeeper gloves in the Premier League since September 3 – a 3-1 victory over Manchester United at the Emirates.

There has been a pair of Carabao Cup appearances in the meantime – a 1-0 win away at Brentford on September 27 and a 3-1 defeat to West Ham on November 1.
But with David Raya, the summer loan signing who has seized the No.1 jersey, cup tied for a Prem visit back at parent club Brentford, Ramsdale will make his Prem return.
The under fire 25-year-old is back in the deep end this weekend with little room for error.
Boss Mikel Arteta has been simultaneously ruthless and supportive towards Ramsdale ever since Raya’s ominous arrival.

The Spanish coach feels competition can only be a good thing and must be embraced, regardless of the tension it may be causing inside London Colney’s keeper’s union.
And when it is suggested his English shot-stopper should be cut some slack if he shows rustiness at the Gtech Community Stadium this evening, Arteta was predictably unmoved.
He said: “No, he played a few weeks ago. I don’t expect [rustiness], like I don’t with any other player.”
Matters have not been helped by Ramsdale’s father, Nick, deciding last week was the moment to criticise Arteta for the manner in which his son was dropped.

Nick said on an interview with the Highbury Squad podcast: “Aaron lost that smile. We did not have a clue [Ramsdale would be dropped] and Aaron’s got to live with that even though he’s not been told it. By anybody.”
SunSport columnist Troy Deeney said: “The dad has made the situation ten times worse. He has put his lad under the microscope even further. Aaron now needs the perfect game.”
Asked specifically about Ramsdale’s father, Arteta deflected, explaining: “Any player who is playing less than he wanted, we demand and expect them to constantly challenge and make each other better and always have the purpose and ability to overcome the situation.
“Aaron has had that attitude every day since I have been here.
“My job is to try to help every single player in the best possible way every day to make them better. To give them the best possible chance to fulfil their potential in their career.
“There is no exception in any position or any player.”
Deeney also told SunSport that if he was Bees manager Thomas Frank, he would target Ramsdale from the first minute with set-pieces and deliveries into the box.
Arteta addressed this concern, adding: “It is [Brentford’s] way of playing. They attack with a lot of numbers in the box. They are a good side, extremely well coached and a big threat.
“Like everything, we will try to minimise their strengths and highlight their weaknesses.”
Elsewhere, there is good news for Arteta as he prepares to welcome back injured trio Ben White, Gabriel Jesus and skipper Martin Odegaard to face Brentford.
Odegaard has overcome a concussion picked up in training, while Jesus looks to have shaken off a hamstring injury after playing over 90 minutes for Brazil against Argentina in mid-week.
Right-back White missed Arsenal’s 3-1 win against Burnley just before the international break with a muscle injury but is in contention to start.
Arteta will celebrate his 200th match in charge of Arsenal – and already has a better winning record in his first double century than legendary ex-manager Arsene Wenger.
Frenchman Wenger won 112 games in his first 200, while Arteta could make it 116 with three points in West London.
Arteta said: “I am really proud to reach that number. In a big club it’s always difficult.
“That means that you do have to win a lot of games and hopefully there’s more positive things to come. Another 200? Or 300? I don’t know.” More
