He has won three FA Cups during his time at Emirates Stadium.
But according to Calciomercato, that time could be about to come to an end as Inter Milan circle.
SunSport takes a look at who could arrive this summer to replace the popular defender.
    MAX AARONS

Norwich star Max Aarons is on the radar of a number of top clubs around Europe.
The Canaries successfully batted off interest from Barcelona last summer, with the LaLiga giants eventually moving for Ajax’s Sergino Dest instead.
Arsenal are seen as contenders to land the £35million-rated 21-year-old when he does finally leave Carrow Road.

One that got away from Chelsea, Tariq Lamptey has been in outstanding form since leaving Stamford Bridge for Brighton in January last year.
A dynamic dribbler with bags of potential, the 20-year-old made his one and only Premier League appearance for the Blues at the Emirates.
The Gunners retain an interest in the England youth international, who despite his injury woes will cost significantly more than the £3million that the Seagulls paid Chelsea for his services – particularly after he signed a new contract in January.

Arsenal are reportedly interested in Lille full-back Zeki Celik.
The 24-year-old had a dodgy Euro 2020 with Turkey, being eliminated at the group stage.
But available at just £13m despite an excellent, title-winning season in Ligue, Celik could be a bargain for the Gunners.
    JAMES JUSTIN

Adept at covering both full-back positions, James Justin would be a very useful addition for Arsenal.
The former Luton Town star, 23, covered well for Ricardo Pereira last season before falling to injury in February.
Pereira’s subsequent return could see the Foxes willing to cash in on Justin, although his cruciate ligament scare could complicate matters.

Barcelona are on the brink of financial ruin, with the club in chaos ahead of the upcoming campaign.
The LaLiga giants need to complete a fire sale of players.
And Arsenal could benefit, having held an interest in right-back Emerson Royal, 22, who has spent the last two seasons on loan at Real Betis.

Arsenal are in the market for a new midfielder as Granit Xhaka prepares to join Roma.
And Locatelli is understood to be Mikel Arteta’s ‘dream’ signing.
However, Arsenal are thought to face a transfer battle with Serie A giants Juventus for the playmaker.
Max Allegri has reportedly identified Locatelli as the man to help Juve regain their Italian crown after a disappointing season.
But the Gunners have been boosted by confirmation from Sassuolo that the Turin giants are yet to open talks due to financial problems.
And instead, Sassuolo are in negotiations with an unnamed foreign side.
Club chief Giovanni Carnevali told Sky Italy: “We’re in talks for Locatelli with one club from abroad, and it’s really advanced.
“We’re going to meet with Juventus in the next few days, but there are no negotiations yet.

“Italian clubs are in a difficult financial situation.”
Locatelli has played 68 times for Sassuolo over the past three seasons, scoring four times.
He initially joined on loan from AC Milan in 2018 before making his stay permanent a year later.
Locatelli could provide Arsenal with the blend of physicality and technique they’ve been craving in midfield, should he join.
The Gunners have already lost Martin Odegaard and Dani Ceballos after their loans from Real Madrid expired.
Meanwhile, Matteo Guendouzi has also been shipped off to Marseille.
And Lucas Torreira is also expected to depart after a poor loan spell at Atletico Madrid.

Manuel Locatelli ready to snub Arsenal transfer for Juventus having had heart set on move for a year

ARSENAL’s hopes of signing Manuel Locatelli look like they could be crushed amid reports of Juventus moving ahead in the race for the star. Tuttosport claims Massimo Allegri wants a deal for the player to be struck between the Turin giants and Sassuolo.
Juventus are reportedly considering a player-plus-cash offer Arsenal target Manuel LocatelliCredit: Rex
And it is thought the Mapei Stadium midfielder, 23, who has been one of Italy’s best performers at the Euros would prefer a move to the Old Lady.
Tuttosport claims Juventus, who finished fourth in Italy’s top-flight, may be open to putting forward a cash-plus-player proposal.
It is thought the club, who re-appointed Allegri as manager after sacking Andre Pirlo, could be willing to offer Radu Dragusin or Nicolo Fagioli as part of a deal.
And Tuttosport suggests Locatelli, who has also been linked with Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City, has been eyeing a Juve move for a year.
It would mean Arsenal – who are expected to lose Granit Xhaka to Roma – may have to consider other midfield targets.

The news comes a month after reports claimed the Gunners were eyeing a £34million move for Locatelli with the club set to cut at four midfielders loose.
The departure of Matteo Guendouzi to Marseille is expected to be followed by the exits of Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Lucas Torreira and wantaway Switzerland captain Xhaka.
Locatelli, who is due to play England in the Euro 2020 final, has made four starts for Roberto Mancini’s side netting two tournament goals.
And the Arsenal target notched up scored four times and three assists in 34 Serie A games for Sassuolo last term.
His contract with the side, which he moved to from AC Milan in 2019, is due to expire in June 2023.
And the club finished eighth in Italy’s top-flight last term.
In June, Sky Sports Italia reported Sassuolo chief executive Giovanni Carnevali’s claims that Arsenal were upping the ante in their efforts to sign Locatelli.
However, the Gunners are facing stiff competition from Juve who are thought to have a special connection with officials at the Mapei Stadium, according to Football London.
Carnevali told Sky Sport Italia: “Arsenal have made an official bid for Locatelli.
“They’re pushing hard to sign Manuel and it’s an important bid… we will see.

“Juventus also want Locatelli and we have a special relationship with them.
“We can think about Locatelli’s future, but above all we care about his present and that means Italy doing well at the Euros.”
In June reports suggested Locatelli is expected to sign a contract in Turin until 2026 worth around £48,000 per week.

Arsenal must flog at least one midfielder to land Houssem Aouar transfer with four players’ futures up in air

ARSENAL have to sell at least one midfielder if they want to sign Houssem Aouar, according to reports. The Gunners have been heavily linked with the Lyon ace but reportedly need to make room on the wage bill before they bring him in with four players’ futures at risk.

Arsenal – who are favourites to sign the Frenchman – are said to have launched an official bid after Lyon dropped their original asking price to just £17million.
Le 10 Sport claimed the Ligue 1 star could cost the Gunners under a third of the £54m fee club officials hoped to get in 2020.
Aouar, 23 – who is said to have skipped pre-season training to force through a move – had been heavily linked with a switch to the Emirates before the start of the 2020-21 season.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is thought to be keen on the versatile ace who can play centrally or on the wing.
But players need to leave before they finalise the deal, according to ESPN.
Matteo Guendouzi has already left for Marseille.
The 22-year-old has initially signed for the Ligue 1 side on loan but Jorge Sampaoli’s side have an obligation to buy him permanently next summer.
And the North Londoners are also in talks with Roma about a deal to take Granit Xhaka to Jose Mourinho’s new side.

Arsenal are also said to be open to offers for Lucas Torreira and uncertainty remains over the futures of Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Joe Willock.
Martin Odegaard’s loan deal will not be extended or made permanent so with all those outgoings, there should be room for Aouar.
In September reports in France claimed Lyon had turned their noses up at two separate bids from the North London giants of £31m and £34.5m.
However, Le 10 Sport say the Gunners have returned with a fresh offer for the midfielder whose current contract with the French outfit runs out in 2023.
And it is thought LaLiga champions Atletico Madrid and Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain could be set to rival Arsenal for the France player’s signature.
It is believed the club’s failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League may have influenced a drop in price.
However, the player faced some fitness struggles last term after picking up a thigh injury in November 2020.
The Lyon-born ace’s spell on the treatment table led to him missing out on France’s involvement in Uefa’s Nations League after being called up by Didier Deschamps
And Aouar was also left out of the Les Bleus squad for this year’s  European Championships.
In June SunSport reported Arsenal were preparing a contract worth £100,000-a-week in a bid to lure Aouar to the Emirates.

Arsenal or Tottenham can land Marcel Sabitzer for just £17m with RB Leipzig ready to sell Euro 2020 star

MARCEL SABITZER could be sold for a cut-price fee this summer with the RB Leipzig skipper’s contract talks reportedly hitting a brick wall. The midfielder, who was one of Switzerland’s standout Euros stars, has been linked with a move to Arsenal or Tottenham.

Sabitzer, 27, who sealed a 2014 move to Leipzig after a one-year spell at Austrian side Rapid Vienna, helped his current club finish second in the Bundesliga last term.
German newspaper Bild claims Leipzig may be willing to grant the player permission to leave for £17million.
And this month Bild suggested he could even be sold for as little as £14.6m with his current deal set to expire in 2022.
This is despite Sabitzer – who helped Switzerland reach this year’s Euros quarter-finals – having a £43m release clause in his contract.

Tottenham and Arsenal, who finished seventh and eighth in the Premier League last term, could face competition for the Leipzig captain’s signature.
Reports claim Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan may be set to rival the London clubs for Sabitzer’s services.
However, the Gunners are also reported to have made an attempt to buy Sassuolo star Manuel Locatelli.
The Italy midfield ace, who will take on England in the Euros final, has won praise for his performances during the tournament.
Arsenal are thought to be in the market for a midfield partner for their Ghana international ace Thomas Partey with Granit Xhaka heavily linked with a move to Roma.

And 90min.com claims the purchase of Sabitzer would come from a £250m war chest Arteta reportedly has to spend.
Sabitzer, whose style of play has been compared to David Beckham’s, made four appearances for Switzerland at the Euros.
And the star, who earned plaudits for his free-kick and set-piece technique, has scored 52 goals and 42 assists in 227 Leipzig appearances in all competitions since his 2014 arrival.

Fans think Matteo Guendouzi took parting Champions League dig at Arsenal after completing Marseille transfer

FANS think Matteo Guendouzi took a dig at one of his former clubs after joining Marseille. The 22-year-old former Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain star finally ended his Gunners hell by returning to France to join Jorge Sampaoli’s side this week.

Guendouzi has initially signed for the Ligue 1 side on loan but Marseille have an obligation to buy him permanently next summer.
The midfielder’s move spells the end of a torrid time in North London dominated by a series of incidents both on and off the pitch.
COMPETITION: WIN A MERCEDES AMG A45S WORTH £51,000 PLUS UP TO £50k IN CASH
He spent the 2020-21 campaign on loan at Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin in Germany after falling out with boss Mikel Arteta.
Guendouzi hasn’t featured for the Gunners since the 2-1 defeat against Brighton in June 2020 where he grabbed Neal Maupay’s throat.
He then is said to have clashed with Arteta during a training camp in Dubai, with David Luiz then telling the youngster to ‘grow up’.
And Guendouzi split fan opinion on which club he appeared to be digging out after expressing his delight in Marseille’s European Cup triumph.
They have already won the Champions’ League. That is not the case for everyone. There are many who would like to have had itMatteo Guendouzi on Marseille
The Frenchman told their website: “I am very happy to be at Marseille today.
“Marseille are one of the biggest European clubs. We know that very well.
“They have already won the Champions’ League. That is not the case for everyone. There are many who would like to have had it.”
Marseille are famously the only club in France to win the Champions League, having done so in 1993.
Guendouzi’s former side Arsenal meanwhile have never lifted Europe’s elite prize, with one fan tweeting: “He literally bodied Arsenal.”

Another said: “Arsenal Football Club bodied”, while others believe the dig was aimed at PSG – who have also never won the Champions League.
Guendouzi started his career at the academy of Mauricio Pochettino’s side and a third added: “I guess he is talking about PSG not Arsenal.”
But User Naif cheekily replied: “Could very well be talking about both since they both binned him. Two birds one stone…”
