Arsenal ‘will fly out to Juventus to hold Dejan Kulusevski transfer talks and hope to land winger for cut-price £29m’

ARSENAL representatives are preparing to fly out to Italy to try and secure the transfer of Juventus winger Dejan Kulusevski. The Gunners have been linked with the 21-year-old for a while, particularly since his game time at Juve has reduced significantly.

And, according to La Repubblica, the pursuit of the Swede is set to take a step up as Arsenal chiefs plan to fly out to Italy to secure a deal.
Mikel Arteta is hoping to clinch the exciting forward for a cut-price of £25million plus £4.2m in add-ons.
However, Juventus are thought to be holding out for a fee closer to £34m.
Kulusevski’s future is reportedly ‘hanging in the balance’, with the Arsenal delegation heading out to Italy hopeful they can convince him to put pen to paper.
The Swedish winger has featured 66 times for the Serie A giants since making his debut in 2020, scoring eight goals and providing nine assists.
But he has been out favour so far this season, starting just four of Juventus’ 16 league matches.

And it is claimed Serie A’s Best Young Player in 2019-20 wants to be a key player at the club, as he was last season under Andrea Pirlo.
Kulusevski played 47 times in all competitions under Pirlo, who was sacked and replaced by Allegri in the summer after just one season in charge.
Kulusevski was initially brought to Juve from Parma for £30m back in January 2020 by Spurs’ director of football Fabio Paratici – with Tottenham also linked with a move for him last month.
Although a cash deal now looks the most likely option, the Gunners were also rumoured to be considering a swap deal.

This would see Kulusevski arrive at the Emirates and record signing Nicolas Pepe head to Juventus.
As well as the Juve forward, Arsenal have also been linked with a move for Club Brugge winger Noa Lang.
But Arsenal boss Arteta faces competition from the likes of AC Milan to land the winger’s signature.

Arteta has ‘sour’ relationship with Aubameyang and would SELL Arsenal captain if he could, claims Man Utd icon Neville

Aubameyang, 32, was left on the bench for the Gunners’ 2-1 defeat at Everton on Monday night.
And even in the late stages when the North Londoners were chasing a goal, Arteta put Eddie Nketiah on before the Gabonese.
The 22-year-old produced a contender for ‘miss-of-the-season’ with just minutes left on the clock but Auba naused up a huge chance of his own too.
And Neville reckons Arteta’s public snub of Aubameyang could have lasting consequences.
He told Sky: “I think there’ll be a problem with Aubameyang after this.
“I don’t think he’ll like the idea of Nketiah coming on or being subbed full stop.

“There’s always a little bit of a bug between Arteta and Aubameyang.
“I know he’s the captain but he leaves him out and it feels like something a bit awkward.
“It’s going to cause a problem and I bet if he could get a bit of money for him and get someone else they would.
“And I bet if Aubameyang could he would move on as as well because it could turn a little sour.”
Arsenal fans online were disgusted by Aubameyang’s miss.
    ‘BEYOND A JOKE’
Gooner Talk tweeted: “Two complete sitters missed by Nketiah and Aubameyang. Why are they still playing for this club?
“Get them out in January and sign some proper forwards. It’s beyond a joke.”
And Connor wrote: “Woke up and saw the Aubameyang miss. Day is ruined already.”
Aubameyang has scored just four goals from 14 Premier League games this season.
Despite the widespread criticism of the former Borussia Dortmund star, Neville also took aim at Arteta.
Speaking as a pundit on Monday Night Football, he added: “He’s flip-flopping between doing a good job and being under pressure, there’s no in-between.
“When you look at average age of the squad: if you’re going to Old Trafford or Goodison Park some players won’t have experienced it many times and it’s tough.
“I remember my first few games at Anfield or Highbury, you need really good experienced players to get you through those difficult moments.
“You need comfort in there and that spine to be really strong and Arsenal’s senior players are not really massive characters or massive leaders.

“They don’t get the young players through those difficult moments in the game, and the young players go under a bit, which is natural.
“There’s a lot of talent there and the young players are not the problem, the problem is the direction and the standards around them.
“Arteta hasn’t got that as a young manager.”

Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli trained with Man Utd in 2015, met Paul Pogba and Patrice Evra and played in U18 friendly

GABRIEL MARTINELLI could have ended up joining Manchester United instead of Arsenal.ESPN Brazil claims the Gunners forward, 20, spent a total of two weeks training with the Red Devils between 2015 and 2017.

It’s reckoned Martinelli was first spotted by United scouts when he was with boyhood club Corinthians.
Martinelli, who soon after moved to Ituano in 2015, was then invited to train at Carrington with United’s academy.
And he seemingly made a huge impression during his sessions, eventually making an appearance for the Under 18s in a friendly match.
In total, Martinelli made four trips from his home in Brazil to train with United.
And he got to rub shoulders with some of the club’s biggest stars too.
Martinelli got to take a picture with Paul Pogba after the Frenchman’s record £89million return in 2016.

And he also enjoyed dinner with both Patrice Evra and Marouane Fellaini.
Reflecting on his time with the Red Devils, Martinelli said: “Between 2015 and 2017 I went there four times and trained for about 15 days.
“I asked to take a picture with [Patrice] Evra, [Marouane] Fellaini and other guys.
“Pogba knew I was Brazilian and asked if everything was OK with me and where I was playing. We took a picture together.”
However, United ended up snubbing the chance to sign Martinelli on a long-term deal.
The Brazilian also trained at La Masia with Barcelona, and they too eventually passed.

But after continuing to shine with Ituano, Martinelli finally cracked Europe in 2019 with a permanent move to Arsenal.
He has since scored 13 goals in 57 games for the Gunners.
And Martinelli will be hoping to add to his tally when Arsenal face Man United tonight. More

Alexandre Lacazette reveals his agents ‘are starting to look’ at transfer options with Arsenal contract expiring

ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE revealed his agents ‘are starting to look’ at transfer options with his Arsenal contract running down. The Frenchman, who has started just four Premier League matches so far this season, has only seven months left on his current deal.

And with the forward sitting down the Gunners pecking order, it has led to speculation he will not renew his contract.
Lacazette, 30, is able to discuss an overseas free transfer away from the Emirates in January, when his future will be determined.
He told Telefoot: “Of course, my agents are starting to look to the right and to the left. But not until January, I really want to focus myself on something.
“And then we will see what is on offer, if the challenges are interesting, if there are beautiful projects, how they are counting on me.
“So there are still many questions, I prefer to wait until January to position myself.”
Captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 32, has been leading the Arsenal line this season, leaving Lacazette warming the bench.

And with the rise in young talents like Emile Smith Rowe, 21, Bukayo Saka, 20, and Gabriel Martinelli, 20, his chances have decreased.
Atletico Madrid and AC Milan are among the clubs currently linked with Lacazette, who has scored 68 times for Arsenal since 2017.
Manager Mikel Arteta has not ruled out the possibility of extending the striker’s stay but wants to put all contract negotiations on hold for now.
But Arsenal are unwilling to offer him another long-term deal on his current salary despite the player’s return to Arteta’s starting line-up in recent weeks.
It is possible they could negotiate a 12-month extension but Lacazette has not been impressed by the club’s lack of urgency in sorting out his future.

“What is 21 or 22? He’s the man they look to, him and Saka.
“Young players are a commodity now. At Arsenal now, Saka and Smith Rowe, that must be at least £100 million worth of players.”
