This means the Bundesliga Champions could sell him this summer in order to get some return on him.
Bayern president Herbert Hainer told Bild: “We’ve been in talks with Serge for a long time. Unfortunately, we haven’t reached an agreement yet.
“There are different expectations, but we’re working on it.”

That would be a major increase on his £110,000 City salary, and he also had a successful relationship with Mikel Arteta when the Arsenal boss was Pep Guardiola’s assistant.
Would he be worth it Gunners fans?

The North London outfit went into the final three Premier League games of the 2021-22 season four points ahead of rivals Tottenham.
But back-to-back away defeats against Spurs and Newcastle saw Antonio Conte’s men leapfrog Arsenal in the table.

But Szczesny, who won two FA Cups alongside Arteta in 2014 and 2015, has insisted it was still a positive term for his old side.
The Poland international has stated nobody would have expected anything from Arsenal after consecutive eighth-placed finishes.
Quoted by the Metro, the 32-year-old said: “As a fan it was really disappointing. They gave it a good go, and nobody would have said before the season started that they had a chance.
“They were still in it with two games of the season left. It’s disappointing but they have actually done a good job this year.”

Abraham said: “I think for every player that’s the mentality you’re supposed to have — to be positive.
“Of course, we are all buzzing for Harry, we want him to smash the record and we’re always here to support him.
“Whenever I’m given a chance if I’m on a pitch with him, I’ll try and help him to get to his targets.

And with the Blaugrana set to snap up Chelsea’s Andreas Christensen on a free transfer, Lenglet could fall further down the pecking order under boss Xavi.

Gnabry’s ties as a former Arsenal player mean he could consider a return to the red half of North London despite The Gunners missing out on Champions League football for next season.
It has previously been reported that Gnabry was unhappy with the new contract proposal from Bayern, and as it stands if an improved offer is not submitted and agreed upon then the 26-year-old is likely to move this summer.
Other clubs who have been rumoured to be interested include Real Madrid, Liverpool, and London rivals Chelsea. Though according to Marca, Madrid are ‘not interested’ in signing him.
However, Arsenal’s transfer plans do not hinge on Gnabry, and while he would represent a high-profile signing, he is far from number one on their list of priorities.

The likes of Gabriel Jesus and Gianluca Scamacca have been linked up front, while Premier League duo Youri Tielemans and Yves Bissouma have been linked in midfield.
In defence, new reports have indicated Arsenal have been offered the services of Clement Lenglet, while Arteta is now expressing ‘doubts’ over the potential arrival of Scottish full-back Aaron Hickey.

‘I belong to Arsenal’ – William Saliba gives fans huge boost amid transfer exit rumours as he vows to return to Gunners

WILLIAM SALIBA has revealed he will return to Arsenal to show them his “true face” amid transfer exit rumours. The news comes as a major boost for the Gunners as Newcastle, Leicester, Atletico Madrid and Marseille, where he spent last season on loan, are reportedly keen to sign him.

Saliba hasn’t played a competitive match for the North Londoners since his £30million move to the Emirates in 2019 as he was sent back first on loan to Saint-Etienne, then to Nice and most recently to Marseille.
The centre-back has repeatedly expressed his desire to stay at L’OM following a successful season that saw him being named Ligue 1’s Young Player of the Year.
But the France international has stated that he “belongs” to Arsenal and is keen to finally play for this “great club” and its fans.
Saliba told Telefoot: “I belong to Arsenal, I still have two years left.

“I will be back with Arsenal. I have played zero matches and I still want to show them my true face and have the chance to play for these fans and this great club.

Arteta explained the 21-year-old was shipped out on loan to Marseille because he needed to gain more experience as he wasn’t ready to compete with the likes of Ben White and Gabriel Magalhaes last year.

Abraham joined Roma on a five-year deal last summer for a fee of £34million.
He made an instant impact upon his arrival in Italy and quickly cemented his spot in Jose Mourinho’s starting line-up.
In 37 appearances this season he has scored 17 goals – making him the highest English scorer in a single Serie A season.
His impressive form has attracted the attention of various Premier League clubs, including Arsenal.

Arsenal are “convinced” they can complete the bargain signing of £25million Leicester star Youri Tielemans.
Tielemans is on the Gunners’ radar, and according to the Mirror, the North Londoners are “convinced” they can pull a deal off.
The midfielder is available for just £25m this summer as he is entering the final year of his Foxes contract.
The Belgium international is said to still be keen on a move to Arsenal despite them narrowly missing out on Champions League football.
Midfield isn’t the only area of the pitch manager Mikel Arteta is looking to improve in
    Nu-go Tavares
Arsenal are reportedly prepared to offload Nuno Tavares on loan after just one season.
The Portuguese left-back was guilty of inconsistent performances when deputising for Kieran Tierney.
And according to The Athletic, Tavares could be available for loan to aid his development.
Though they state he could be on the move in January to give time to impress in the Europa League group stage.
    Lacazette writes emotions goodbye statement
Alexandre Lacazette has declared it was a “dream come true” to sign for Arsenal after it was announced he will be leaving the club.
Taking to social media, he said: “5 years ago, my dream came true.. To sign for Arsenal.
“It’s been an honour to wear the jersey, to be a part of this family.
“I won trophies, I met real and nice people, and I fell even more in love with this club.
“Good luck for the future of the club and the fans, it’s been a pleasure.
“Once a gunner, Always a Gunner. Thank you Arsenal.”
    Serge Gnabry boost
Arsenal transfer target Serge Gnabry has rejected Bayern Munich’s latest contract offer.
With one year left on his deal at the Allianz Arena, the Gunners have been linked with bringing Gnabry to the Emirates.
According to Sport Bild, the North Londoners could have received positive news in their quest to sign the winger.
They state that the Germany international has turned down Bayern’s latest contract proposal, with the club not willing to improve their offer.
No further talks are planned, and a sale is now likely with the German champions keen to offload the 26-year-old to avoid losing him on a free

    Lacaz-exit
Arsenal have announced that Alexandre Lacazette will leave later this month when his contract expires.
An official statement read: “Alex Lacazette will be leaving us at the end of his current contract, which runs until June 30.”
Manager Mikel Arteta said: “Laca has been a fantastic player for us.
“He’s been a real leader on and off the pitch and has been a very important influence to our younger players.
“His commitment with us has been exceptional and we wish him and his family success and happiness”.
Gunners to bank in on Bellerin
Arsenal are unwilling to let Hector Bellerin leave on a free transfer this summer.
Bellerin spent the last season on loan at Real Betis and revealed his wish to stay there permanently in an emotional goodbye message.
The Gunners though are refusing to release him from his contract, according to Estadio Deportivo.
The right-back has just one year remaining on his current deal and is said to be open to having it ripped up.
That would save the North Londoners around £100,000-a-week on wages but the club are not likely to sanction the Spain international’s wishes.
    Luc for it
Lazio have entered the race to sign Arsenal outcast and Fiorentina loanee Lucas Torreira.
The Viola have failed to trigger their option to buy Torreira on a permanent deal worth £12.5million.
Now, Tuttomercatoweb.com claim Lazio boss and former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri wants to bring the midfielder to Rome.
The story also claims that Fiorentina are still hopeful of a deal for the Uruguay international.
    Aaron Hickey blow
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is said to have “doubts” over the potential signing of Bologna star Aaron Hickey.
That gives a major boost to other suitors, such as Brentford who are also hoping to land Hickey in the summer.
The Gunners want the left-back to cover for fellow Scot Kieran Tierney, whose injury problems continue to plague his career.
Meanwhile, the Bees only have one pair of recognised senior full-backs, with Rico Henry their only natural option on the left side of Thomas Frank’s back five.

According to the Mirror, there are ‘doubts’ over the interest Arsenal are said to be expressing in the 19-year-old.

    Faith in Jesus
Arsenal are increasingly confident of sealing a deal for Manchester City ace Gabriel Jesus.
But manager Mikel Arteta is scaling back on his plans for a major spending spree after initially targeting up to seven new transfers.
Now Arteta may have to settle for just three new faces as the Gunners count the cost of missing out on Champions League qualification.
And that will leave the Spanish tactician relying on many of the players who came up just short in the fight with Tottenham for a fourth place finish last season.
Arteta has told technical director Edu that he requires a squad of 22 outfield players to cope with the extra demands of Europa League football next term.
The former Manchester City coach currently has just 16, although Eddie Nketiah is expected to accept the offer of a new £100,000-a-week deal to keep him at the Emirates for another five years

Brentford transfer boost as ‘doubts’ emerge over whether Arsenal boss Arteta wants to sign Bologna’s Hickey this summer

MIKEL ARTETA is said to have ‘doubts’ over the potential signing of Aaron Hickey, giving Brentford a boost in their hopes for a transfer. Both Arsenal and Brentford have identified left-back as a position to recruit in this summer after spending spells of the season without their number one players in the position.

Arsenal are looking at Hickey as cover for Kieran Tierney, whose injury problems continue to plague his career and provide The Gunners with an unnecessary headache.
Meanwhile, Brentford only have one pair of recognised senior full-backs, with Rico Henry their only natural option on the left side of Thomas Frank’s back five.
They want to add Hickey to their squad to both cover for and provide competition to Henry, while Brentford could also rival Manchester United in a transfer for Norwich City right-back Max Aarons.
However, according to the Mirror, there are ‘doubts’ over the interest Arsenal are said to be expressing in the 19-year-old.

Hickey rose to fame in the Scottish Premiership with Hearts before securing a transfer to Serie A with Bologna for around £1.5million in September 2020.
He has gone on to make 48 appearances for the Italians, scoring five times and providing one assist.
At the end of his first season in Italy the young Scot was also nominated for the 2021 Golden Boy award.
Hickey earned his first Scotland cap earlier this season, and played the full game as Scotland were dumped out of the World Cup playoffs thanks to a 3-1 loss against Ukraine.

Arsenal closing in on Jesus, writes Mark Irwin
Arsenal are increasingly confident of sealing a deal for Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus.
But Mikel Arteta is scaling back on his plans for a major spending spree after initially targeting up to seven new signings.
Now he might have to settle for just three new faces as Arsenal count the cost of missing out on Champions League qualification.
And that will leave him relying on many of the players who came up just short in the fight with Spurs for a fourth place finish last season.
Arteta has told technical director Edu that he needs a squad of 22 outfield players to cope with the extra demands of Europa League football next season.
    Read more HERE.

    Tavares available on loan
Arsenal are reportedly prepared to offload Nuno Tavares on loan after just one season.
The Portuguese left-back was guilty of inconsistent performances when deputising for Kieran Tierney.
And according to The Athletic, Tavares could be available for loan to aid his development.
Though they state he could be on the move in January to give time to impress in the Europa League group stage.
    Szczesny disappointed by Arsenal
Former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has declared he was left disappointed that the club failed to secure a top four finish.
But the Juventus ace believes it won’t be too long until Mikel Arteta’s side are back in the Champions League.
He said: “As a fan, it was really disappointing. They gave it a good go and nobody would have said before the season started that they had a chance.
“They were still in it with two games of the season left. It’s disappointing but they have actually done a good job this year.
“I can see Mikel’s idea of football, he has a young team so they will be all right. Another couple of years and they will be back in the Champions League.”
Arsenal warned by Barcelona over Depay
Barcelona have reportedly warned Arsenal they are unwilling to sell Memphis Depay this summer unless they find a replacement.
Sport claims the Gunners are eager to snap up Barca’s Dutch forward after returning to the Europa League.
But the Spaniards will not part ways with Depay unless they can find a suitable attacker to fill his shoes.
Depay, 28, has just one year left on his Nou Camp deal despite only joining Barcelona from Lyon last June.
And Mikel Arteta reckons he can land a real bargain for Arsenal’s attack in the upcoming transfer window, allowing the club to focus the majority of their resources elsewhere.
    Lacazette exit continued
Technical director Edu added: “A big thank you to Laca from everyone at Arsenal.
“He’s been really important for us.
“He will always be part of the Arsenal family and we wish him well for everything in the future.”
    Arsenal confirm Lacazette exit
Alexandre Lacazette will depart Arsenal when his contract expires, the club have announced.
In a statement released on the Gunners’ website, Arsenal said: “Alex Lacazette will be leaving us at the end of his current contract, which runs until June 30.”
Boss Mikel Arteta remarked: “Laca has been a fantastic player for us.
“He’s been a real leader on and off the pitch and has been a very important influence to our younger players.
“His commitment with us has been exceptional and we wish him and his family success and happiness.”
    Arsenal fail in Scamacca bid
Gianluca Scamacca has snubbed a £35million move to Arsenal in favour of staying in Italy, according to reports.
Arsenal offered a transfer package of £35million plus bonuses to Sassuolo in order to bring the 23-year-old to The Emirates, but this was rejected by the player.
Alfredo Pedulla has reported Scamacca rejected the bid as he is waiting for a move to one of the Italian giants.
He is hoping the likes of Inter, AC Milan, or Napoli will make a concrete offer for him.
However, the report indicates that this could be some way off.
A move to this year’s Serie A runner ups Inter would take time to materialise, while one to the likes of champions Milan or third place Napoli would require more than an enquiry to be made.

    Lazio enter Lucas Torreira race
Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira is reportedly a target for Lazio after his impressive loan at Fiorentina.
It has been thought that the Florence outfit was set to activate Torreira’s £12.5million buyout clause in his contract, but they are now unwilling to match that fee.
And according to Tuttomercatoweb, that has led Lazio to believe they can now secure the Uruguayan’s services.
Though they add that Fiorentin are still determined to land the player.
    No free transfer for Bellerin
Arsenal will NOT release Hector Bellerin to allow him to join Real Betis on a free transfer.
Bellerin in keen to remain at his boyhood club are starring on loan where he held the Seville outfit win the Copa del Rey.
But the LaLiga side are struggling to stump up the cash needed to turn his temporary stay into a permanent switch.
With Bellerin’s contract at the Emirates to expire in 2023, Arsenal want to sell the player this summer to avoid losing him for nothing.
And because, Estadio Deportivo have stated that the North London giants will not terminate his contract a year early.
It has been said that Bellerin is willing to halve his salary in order to force through a move to Betis.
Arsenal coach set to join Crawley
Arsenal’s Under-23 coach Kevin Betsy is set to be named as Crawley Town’s next manager.
The 44-year-old is highly regarded having managed a number of England’s youth sides.
And after his U23 team finished second in Premier League 2, he is now set to move into first team management.
It is understood that Betsy will shortly be appointed in charge of the League Two outfit.
    Inter in for Dybala
Arsenal, Man Utd and Tottenham have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Juventus playmaker Paulo Dybala.
Inter Milan have reportedly been holding talks with the Argentine ace and are optimistic that a deal can be struck.
Dybala, 28, is set to leave Juve this summer when his contract expires.
As well as Premier League interest, Dybala has also been in direct talks with Inter Milan vice president Javier Zanetti, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Commenting on a potential transfer, Zanetti told ESPN: “I am quite calm, the people who work with are taking care.
“In Italy I am very comfortable. I would still like to know other leagues like the Premier League, LaLiga… but I’m happy in Italy.”

    Arsenal in Sao Paulo relationship
Sao Paulo director of football Carlos Belmonte has declared the club will be having a partnership with Arsenal which will see the Gunners sign their top talents.
Arsenal are set to announce the signing of Marquinhos from Sao Paulo, where they have offered them a small fee instead of nabbing him as a free agent.
In an interview with Canal do Arnaldo e Tironi, Belmonte said: “We have a spectacular relationship with Edu Gaspar, who told us that he knew that Marquinhos could leave for free.
“But that he was still going to look for funds to pay for Sao Paulo, because he wants to have a relationship with Soo Paulo similar to the one that Ajax has it with us.”
Belmonte added: “He [Edu Gaspar] wants to be closer to eventually be able to bring younger players from Sao Paulo to Arsenal.
“We are even studying the possibility of exchanging our base with their base.”
    Arsenal in Serge Gnabry boost
Serge Gnabry has reportedly rejected Bayern Munich’s latest contract offer in a boost for Arsenal.
With one year left on his deal at the Allianz Arena, the Gunners have been linked with bringing the German back to the Emirates.
And according to Sport Bild, the North London outfit could have received positive news in their quest to sign the ex-West Brom loanee.
They state that Gnabry has turned down Bayern’s latest contract proposal, with the club not willing to improve their offer.
No further talks are planned, and a sale is now likely with Bayern keen to offload him to avoid losing him on a free.
    Arsenal transfer round-up
Arsenal are reportedly confident of snapping up Leicester contract rebel Youri Tielemans in a £25million deal.
That is according to John Cross of the Mirror who has outlined the Gunners’ transfer targets.
He stated that Manchester City ace Gabriel Jesus remains a top priority with Alexandre Lacazette set to return to Lyon.
As for Bologna’s versatile full-back Aaron Hickey, reports that he is close to joining is wide of the mark.
Cross claims that are doubts whether Mikel Arteta is as interested in the player as Italian media is playing out.
Meanwhile Arsenal are convinced they have done enough to persuade Gabriel to stay instead of joining Juventus, and are considering offering the defender a new contract.
    Allegri aims dig at Dybala
Juventus manager Max Allegri has given a parting dig to Paulo Dybala amid Premier League transfer speculation.
The 28-year-old, linked with moves to Arsenal, Man Utd and Totteham, is currently a free agent after bringing an end to a seven year spell with the Old Lady.
However, the Argentina international drew criticism from former manager Allegri for attitude issues during his time at the club.
Speaking to DAZN, Allegri said: “Paulo needs to go back to being himself. There was a time where he got all carried out by those who labeled him as ‘the new Messi’ ”
“A player can’t go around trying to play, to think or to be like someone else.”

    Good morning Arsenal fans
Paulo Dybala, who recently quit Juventus and is available for a free transfer, has spoken about moving to the Premier League.
The Argentinian star revealed: “I am quite calm, the people who work with are taking care.
“In Italy I am very comfortable. I would still like to know other leagues like Premier, LaLiga… but I’m happy in Italy.”
Dybala has been linked with moves to Arsenal, Man Utd, and Spurs in recent weeks.
Alexandre Lacazette has agreed to half his salary to force through a move away from Arsenal, according to reports.
The French striker, 31, looks set to sign for Lyon – the club where he broke through as a youngster.
And L’Equipe say Lacazette has taken a huge pay cut to make the deal happen.
The £46.5million signing endured a difficult campaign last season with the Gunners – managing just six goals in 36 games.
Arsene Wenger is set to be honoured by Arsenal with his own statue, according to reports.
The legendary French manager, who led the Gunners to an unbeaten league season and won three Premier League titles, would join former players Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, and Tony Adams in being immortalised.
Gunnerblog is privy to the information – but hasn’t said when it will be revealed.
There is also a mural of Wenger at Arsenal’s training ground, which players reportedly high five on their way in to the complex.

    Martinelli swap
Arsenal transfer chief Edu has reportedly been given a transfer headache by Juventus.
The Italian giants are said to have offered longterm target Arthur in exchange for Gabriel Martinelli.
The Gunners were tipped to have signed the Brazilian back in January, however a move never materialised.
Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri was said to be impressed by Martinelli, who enjoyed a fruitful campaign at the Emirates netting six goals last season.
    Arsenal miss out on Hlozek
Czech wonderkid Adam Hlozek has signed for Bayer Leverkusen, the German side has confirmed.
The 19-year-old was linked with a move to the Gunners as recently as last week.
However, it appears they were pipped to his signature by the Bundesliga giants – who have splashed £13million plus add-ons and a 30 per cent sell on clause.

REJECTS Bayern’s final offer, Lacazette EXIT confirmed
William Saliba will join the squad after spending the last three seasons out on loan and Charlie Patino is in line to be promoted to the senior squad to help out on European duties.
Now they are stepping up negotiations for Jesus, who is currently in the Far East on international duty with Brazil.
The 25-year-old striker came on as a late sub for Neymar to score a last minute goal in his team’s 5-1 win against South Korea in Seoul.
He has put all talks on hold until after Monday’s match against Japan but is keen to get his future sorted out as quickly as possible.

With only one year left on his Etihad contract, City are ready to listen to offers for Jesus, who cost them £27million when he was signed from Palmeiras five years ago.
Arsenal believe a bid of £40million will be enough to secure the services of a player who has been shoved down Pep Guardiola’s pecking order by the arrival of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez.
And his relationship with former City assistant manager Arteta and ex-Brazilian general manager Edu puts them in pole position to see off rival interest from Juventus, Spurs and Roma.
As well as Jesus, Arsenal are also targeting a central midfield player, with Leicester’s Youri Tielemans top of their hit-list at a likely cost of £30million.
And Arteta is also eager to sign another left-footed defender to act as cover for Kieran Tierney. More

Arsenal refusing to release Hector Bellerin so that Spanish star can return to Real Betis on free transfer after loan

ARSENAL are reportedly unwilling to let Hector Bellerin leave on a free transfer this summer. The 27-year-old spent the last season on loan at Real Betis and revealed his wish to stay there permanently in an emotional goodbye message.

Arsenal though are refusing to release him from his contract, according to Estadio Deportivo.
Bellerin has just one year remaining on his current deal and is said to be open to having it ripped up.
That would save the Gunners around £100,000-a-week on wages.
Although the club are not likely to sanction Bellerin’s wishes.

‘very close to signing Jesus’ as Lacazette agrees to rejoin Lyon
Arsenal have used the tactic in the past to release players from big contracts, most notably tearing up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mesut Ozil’s deals early.
But they are unlikely to do the same for Bellerin.
The four-cap Spain international is said to be open to taking a mammoth wage cut in order to sign permanently for Real Betis.
The Gunners though are keen to negotiate a cut-price transfer in order to receive some sort of fee for the full-back.

Bellerin though is likely to snub a move if there is a possibility of rejoining Real Betis.
He was even reduced to tears after playing his final game of the season for his temporary club. More
