ARSENAL have been joined by Newcastle in the race for Leeds star Raphinha, according to reports.The Gunners are keen to wrap up a deal for the wide forward, after agreeing the £45million transfer of Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.

Arsenal raise Lisandro Martinez transfer bid to £34.5m as Mikel Arteta targets defender… but Ajax want £43m

ARSENAL are set to submit another bid for Ajax centre-back Lisandro Martinez, according to reports.The Gunners have been heavily linked with a swoop for the defender, 24, over the past few weeks.

They have already had a £25million bid rejected by the Eredivisie champions, but they are now set to submit an improved offer of £34.5m.
However, according to Dutch Outlet De Telegraaf, it is unlikely to be accepted as Ajax want at least £43m for his services.
Mikel Arteta’s side face competition from Premier League rivals Manchester United for Martinez’s signature.
The Red Devils are looking to bolster their defence following a disastrous season.

He’s penned a long-term contract with the Gunners but the full length of his deal hasn’t been disclosed yet.

He then headed to France for another loan stint at Bastia before leaving the Etihad permanently for Udinese in 2016 after failing to make the breakthrough with the Cityzens.
The ace has gone on to shine since and was named in the Ligue 1 team of the year last season.
He has scored 12 goals and produced six assists in his 73 appearances at Lens.

Bale joins Los Angeles FC
Gareth Bale has confirmed his shock move to MLS outfit Los Angeles FC.
Bale left Real Madrid at the end of his contract earlier this month as a free agent.
For months there have been suggestions the star forward could retire or sign with hometown club Cardiff.
But the Wales international has put the rumours to bed after confirming he is joining LAFC on Twitter.
Sharing a video of himself in the club’s black and gold, Bale said: “See you soon, Los Angeles”
