BUKAYO SAKA might arguably be Arsenal’s most important player, but reports claim he is actually the third LOWEST earner at the club.Although he still earns more than new signing Fabio Vieira, who is on a surprisingly low salary after his £35million move from Porto.

According to reports in Portugal, via football.london, Vieira is set to pick up just £25k-a-week on his five-year contract with the Gunners.
Figures from Sportrac say Saka picks up just £30k-a-week on his current deal.
Although that might get a hefty hike soon with Arsenal set to launch negotiations over a new and improved contract for the 20-year-old in the near future.
Thomas Partey is the current top earner on a reported £200k-a-week, although Gabriel Jesus is set to top that if he joins this summer.

Negotiations between Arsenal and Manchester City over a deal for the striker are said to be at an advanced stage.
The 25-year-old has been offered a deal worth around £13.7million-a-year, according to journalist Nabil Djellit, which works out at a staggering £264k-a-week.
But if the Gunners qualify for the Champions League it’s claimed his wage would be increased to £14.6m-a-year.

ARSENAL’S first bid for Leeds playmaker Raphinha has been REJECTED, according to reports.The 25-year-old Brazilian, who could cost up to £60million, has been identified by the Gunners as a transfer target after Barcelona’s bid stalled due to financial problems.

And speaking of Arsenal’s transfer strategy, Edu added: “We have to go into the market for exciting players with the right age, right attitude and right mentality.
“We want to see a club like Arsenal with a young squad, an exciting squad with a big, big future because as I said last summer, the idea is to have a young squad.
“We want to give them the opportunity to play together for two, three, four, five or six seasons.
“We still have a lot to do but we are really excited to start the season with the players we target and the players we want to sign.”
Edu revealed that the work to get Vieira through the door had been months in the making, despite several doubting Arsenal’s ability to attract players without the lure of Champions League football.

Red Devils struggling to offload Martial and Bailly
EXCLUSIVE: Manchester United are having a nightmare trying to find a buyer for Anthony Martial due to his sky-high wages, writes NEIL CUSTIS.
United are ready to accept a big hit on the £38.5million they paid for him with offers of around £20million ready to be heard.
But the Frenchman’s £240,000-a-week wages are proving a massive stumbling block to any move with no club prepared to match that.
Martial still has two years left on that deal which means United may have to agree to a pay off to get him out of Old Trafford.
Sevilla in La Liga showed interest last season when they took him on a fourth month loan in the second-half of last season.
But the frontman flopped and he will return for pre-season training at Carrington on Monday.
United are also actively trying to find a buyer for centre-back Eric Bailly having offered him to Newcastle United – but that was met with a lukewarm response.
Having signed a new contract in April 2021 he still has two years left of his current contract.
As with Martial, United are ready to take a hit on the 28-year-old with an asking price of just £8.5million for a player who costs them £30million from Villarreal in 2016.

ARSENAL have offloaded centre-back Omar Rekik to Dutch side Sparta Rotterdam on loan with the club keen for him to play first-team football.The Tunisia international, 20, joined the Gunners in January 2021 from Bundesliga outfit Herth Berlin for around £500,000.

But he has failed to break into the first team at the Emirates, with the player starring with the club’s Under-23s.
He featured in 16 games in all competitions for the reserves during the 2021-22 campaign where he helped them finish third in Premier League 2.
And he will now be plying his trade in the Eredivisie next term in the hope he can force his way into possible selection under Mikel Arteta next year.
Arsenal have confirmed his departure on a temporary basis where they wished him good luck.
