incoming Arsenal keeper Turner refuse to sign shirt of fan in rivals’ kit
He’s penned a long-term contract with the Gunners but the full length of his deal hasn’t been disclosed yet.
Arsenal announced Turner’s arrival on Twitter with the caption: “From New Jersey to North London…Welcome home, Matty Turner.”
Speaking on his arrival, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta said to the club’s media: “Matt is an experienced goalkeeper who will bring high quality to our squad.
“He has shown with his performances in recent years in both the MLS and at international level with the United States that he is a goalkeeper who will give us added strength going into next season.

“We welcome Matt and his family to the club and we look forward to working together in the years to come.”
Arteta’s optimism was shared by the club’s transfer supremo Edu who added: “We are delighted that Matt is joining us. Matt is a goalkeeper with established qualities and experience, who will be a great addition to our squad.
“We identified Matt some time ago and worked hard to ensure that his transfer was complete so he could join us in time for our pre-season in July.
“We now look forward to Matt joining us, settling into his new home and working ahead of next season.”
However, Turner’s got a long way to go before he earns the No.1 shirt occupied by Aaron Ramsdale.
He’s been given the number 30 jersey to wear during his tenure with Arsenal.
Although Turner’s already won a place in the heart of Arsenal fans after he refused to sign a shirt of a fan wearing a Tottenham top upon leaving America. More

That deal cost Lens around £8.5m – but now they want around four times that figure to sell him this summer.
And the 27-year-old Ivory Coast ace is not short of suitors, according to L’Equipe.
The publication claims that Newcastle are keen on bringing him to the Premier League.
But now they state that Arsenal are also in the transfer hunt and will battle the Magpies for his signature.

Fofana previously spent time in England with Manchester City’s academy as a youngster and enjoyed a loan spell with Fulham.
He then headed to France for another loan stint at Bastia before leaving the Etihad permanently for Udinese in 2016 after failing to make the breakthrough with the Cityzens.
The ace has gone on to shine since and was named in the Ligue 1 team of the year last season.
He has scored 12 goals and produced six assists in his 73 appearances at Lens.

Now Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is hoping to add Fofana to his midfield ranks following the recent signing of Fabio Vieira from Porto.
Lens are facing up to the prospect of losing their star man but they are not prepared to sell him on the cheap.
They are aware of the huge interest in Fofana and are allegedly demanding a fee of between €30-40m for him.
Lens will also have to pay 20 per cent of any transfer fee to his former club Udinese as part of the deal that brought him to them two years ago.
However, both Arsenal and Newcastle could end up disappointed in their pursuit of Fofana.
The same report says that Paris Saint-Germain are also keen.
And that the player himself would prefer to stay in France rather than move to England. More

The centre-back is hoping that Lazio will table an offer, having previously shown interest, but his dream scenario is to stay at Milan.
The Blues are looking to boost their backline after losing Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen this summer

    Rich taste
Spurs are reportedly lining up a combined bid for two of Everton’s bets players.
The North London club want to put together a package deal for Brazil striker Richarlison and England Under-21 winger Anthony Gordon, according to Sky Sports.
The Toffees are said to be anticipating a bid for both players which could be made this week.
The versatile Richarlison, 25, is viewed as ideal competition and cover for a Spurs frontline led by talisman Harry Kane.
Apparently Tottenham have been tracking him since he impressed at Watford in the 2017-18 season.
Sky Sports also point out that left-winger Gordon, 21, fits with Spurs’ agenda of signing and developing young English talent.

    Ful of it
Fulham have launched an £11million bid for Manchester United ace Andreas Pereira.
According to the Mail, Pereira is not in United manager Erik ten Hag’s plans for next season.
And United are ready to sell the attacking midfielder for a cut-price fee this summer.
The 26-year-old has been on loan at Flamengo for the last year but the Brazilian giants are hesitant about making the deal permanent after just seven goals in 52 games.
And that has opened the door for Fulham to pounce for the Brazil international
    Joe Gomez advice
Liverpool hero Danny Murphy believes Joe Gomez should go away on loan to build up his confidence but manager Jurgen Klopp would rather keep him.
Murphy told BeMyBet: “Now they have signed Calvin Ramsay from Aberdeen, maybe it’s time for him to move on and go and play somewhere consistently because I think he is a super talent.
“The reality is he is another one who will probably be there another season.
“I don’t think any player should be in a rush to leave Liverpool. I am also a believer in making the years that you’ve got playing count and maybe a loan move could work for him.
“Maybe a loan move somewhere for a season to go and play and build his confidence up again.
“With the amount of fixtures Liverpool have and trying to be competitive on all fronts, I think that Jurgen Klopp would want the option of him as a fourth centre half”
    Need Mar
Arsenal are set to submit another bid for Ajax centre-back Lisandro Martinez, according to reports.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with a swoop for the defender, 24, over the past few weeks.
They have already had a £25million bid rejected by the Eredivisie champions, but they are now set to submit an improved offer of £34.5m.
However, according to Dutch Outlet De Telegraaf, it is unlikely to be accepted as Ajax want at least £43m for his services.
Mikel Arteta’s side face competition from Premier League rivals Manchester United for Martinez’s signature.
The Red Devils are looking to bolster their defence following a disastrous season.
    Rich pickings
Tottenham have reportedly been joined by Chelsea in the race to lure Richarlison away from Everton.
Spurs have been heavily linked with a move for the 25-year-old in a potential £51.25million deal.
SunSport reported last week how Thomas Tuchel’s Blues side were also interested in the Brazil international.
It has been claimed that the Toffees may cash in on the ex-Watford ace in the next five days as they need to balance the books.
A move to London could be in the offing, with Sky Sports stating that Chelsea are considering rivalling rivals Spurs for his signature.
Chelsea are in the market for a centre-forward after allowing club-record signing Romelu Lukaku to return to Inter Milan on loan.

    Man City expect Sterling bid
Manchester City are expecting a bid for Raheem Sterling by Chelsea.
That is according to Sky Sports, who claim that Sterling heads the Blues’ manager Thomas Tuchel’s shortlist for attacking targets.
It has also been reported that City are grateful for the forward’s services and will not obstruct his desire for more minutes elsewhere.
The Premier League champions’ boss Pep Guardiola is open to allowing the England international’s exit, even to a league rival.
Tuchel is desperate to add to his frontline, especially after Romelu Lukaku’s loan exit to Inter Milan, but will have to meet the Citizens’ £50million asking price for Sterling

    Gal-ways have Paris
Christophe Galtier has left Nice and is set to take over at Paris Saint-Germain this week.
Galtier’s former club have moved quickly and signed former Borussia Dortmund boss Lucien Favre, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Romano tweeted: “Official and confirmed. Christophe Galtier leaves OGC Nice as he’s set to sign with Paris Saint-Germain as new manager. It will be resolved and completed this week.
“OGC Nice have announced former Borussia Dortmund’s Lucien Favre as new manager, club statement confirms”
    Rich and poor
Everton have to balance the books in the next five days in what could be a major boost for Chelsea and Tottenham’s bid for Richarlison.
The Toffees’ ongoing battle with financial fair play rules mean the Blues and Spurs’s transfer hopes could be best served by moving early.
According to The Athletic, the “bulk” of the Merseysiders’ incoming business will have to be done after June 30, which could explain the lack of transfers at Goodison Park so far.
The reason for this deadline is FFP, which is calculated until the end of June.
Everton have been under prolonged pressure over their finances, with rivals even attempting to use it against them during last season’s nail-biting relegation struggle.
The free-spending start to Toffees’ owner Farhad Moshiri’s reign has left the club needing to balance the books
    Things getting Frenk
Manchester United are hoping to seal a deal for Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong by the end of the week.
According to Sport, Barca are looking to offload De Jong as quickly as possible so they can remove his salary from their accounts.
This is despite the Blaugrana’s initial reluctance to sell the midfielder this year.
The Netherlands international’s big money move to Old Trafford will see him reunite with former Ajax boss Erik Ten Hag, three years after leaving the Eredivisie
    Ox transfer advice
Liverpool hero Danny Murphy advised forgotten man Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to consider a move to Southampton and insists he would also be good at Aston Villa or Newcastle.
Murphy told BeMyBet: “We’ve seen glimpses of him in the Liverpool shirt where he’s been brilliant. If he can stay fit I think he would be a great addition for someone.
“I don’t think he’d do it, but I’m sure [Frank] Lampard would like having him around across the park. Maybe even somewhere like Southampton where he started his career where he can play and enjoy his football and be the main man.
“Yeah, maybe. I think that the problem you’ve got is that Newcastle are going to start spending on big names and progressing quite quickly. However he’s more than capable in playing in both those sides/
‘It’s an individual choice when you get to a certain stage in your career where you have to balance on and off the field happiness, and football. He’s earned good money for a long time, so I wouldn’t think his priority would be finance”
“I really like him, I like watching him play, I like the dynamism he’s got, I like his energy. I hope he goes somewhere where he’s going to play every week and we don’t see him sitting on the bench somewhere just to get an extra 10 or 20 grand a week.”
    Richarlison transfer war
Chelsea and Tottenham are set for a bidding war over Everton star Richarlison.
That is according to Sky Sports, who claim the West Londoners are keen to rival their local foes over the star forward.
In fact, the Blues see him as the perfect replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who is returning to Inter Milan on loan.
Spurs, on the other hand, want to add to their striking pair of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min
    Erik ten Hag-gle
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag starts work on Monday facing an Old Trafford cash squeeze that threatens to hamper his re-building plans, as per SunSport’s Ken Lawrence.
While United CEO Richard Arnold told fans in a recent pub meeting that money was “not a consideration” in this summer’s transfer window, he will still not provide Ten Hag with an open cheque book.
With the Red Devils looking for investors to fund either a new stadium or a major overhaul of Old Trafford, the Dutch head coach will have to pay a price.
The budget before any sales, with Anthony Martial and Eric Bailly expected to be dumped, could be as little as £100million

    Deal me in
Arsenal ace William Saliba has held “positive” contract talks with club chiefs, who are looking to tie him down to a long-term deal after a series of loan stints.
Reporter Chris Wheatley has now revealed that ex-Marseille, Nice and St-Etienne loanee Saliba could be closing in on a new contract.
Wheatley tweeted: “William Saliba contract talks going positively with Frenchman set to return for pre-season training shortly.
“The French defender will be at Arsenal for the 2022-23 season, as confirmed by manager Mikel Arteta and people close to the player”
    Lewandowski price tag
Bayern Munich are demanding £52million to sell Robert Lewandowski in the summer transfer window.
Lewandowski has publicly asked to leave Bayern as he enters the final year of his contract.
The striker has his heart set on Barcelona despite interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.
The Bundesliga champions are refusing to let him go on the cheap and Sky Sports claim they will only sell for £52m.
This will come as a massive blow to cash-strapped Barca, who are trying to improve their squad on a tight budget by looking for cheap transfers and free agents.
The Blaugrana have debts of over half a billion euros and are desperate to not pile on extra costs
    S-Mart move for Lisandro
Arsenal are looking to beat Manchester United in the race for Ajax star Lisandro Martinez.
The Gunners’ boss Mikel Arteta is a huge admirer of Martinez’s versatility, with the defender also able to operate as a left-back and defensive midfielder.
And transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has delivered an update on Arteta’s pursuit of the Argentina international.
Romano said on his YouTube channel: “Arsenal want Lisandro Martinez.
“They had new contacts with his agent and after an opening bid was turned down by Ajax.
“But at the moment, still no fresh bid. Arsenal are on it. Arsenal want Lisandro Martinez, but also Manchester United mentioned his name internally.
“Lisandro is one to watch for the coming weeks. Ajax want around €45m-€50m [£38m-£43m]”
    Boehly on Cech
Chelsea’s new owner Todd Boehly has praised Petr Cech after his decision to depart from the club.
Boehly said: “Petr is an important member of the Chelsea family.
“We understand his decision to step away and thank him for his contributions as an advisor and his commitment to the club and to our community.
    “We wish him the best”

    Neym the price
Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle are among the only transfer options for Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar this summer.
That’s as the star forward reportedly considers his future at Parc des Princes after being left fuming with PSG chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi hinting his performances were below par last season.
According to RMC Sport, the Brazil international is thinking of leaving the Parisians in the summer.
Reports this month claimed the French champions are prepared to sell the 30-year-old for the right price as they plot a summer rebuild.
Premier League trio United, Chelsea and Newcastle are the only teams with the right money to sign Neymar
    Petr Cech leaves role
Chelsea hero Petr Cech will leave his role as technical and performance advisor on June 30.
Cech said: “It has been a huge privilege to perform this role at Chelsea for the past three years.
“With the club under new ownership, I feel now is the right time for me to step aside.
“I am pleased that the club is now in an excellent position with the new owners, and I am confident of its future success both on and off the pitch”
    Jover the moon
Tottenham have opened talks to sign RB Leipzig ace Josko Gvardiol.
According to Nabil Djellit, Gvardiol’s strong season has caught Spurs’ attention, who have sparked negotiations over a potential transfer and are rivalling Chelsea as well as Manchester United.
The North Londoners are desperate to land a new centre-back, having been linked with Inter Milan duo Alessandro Bastoni and Milan Skriniar.
The Croatia international ranked in the top five in the Bundesliga for interceptions and posed highly in blocks and tackles as well
    Neymar linked with Juventus
Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar’s agents have opened talks with Juventus over a transfer.
The star forward is claimed to have been unsettled by club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s recent comments regarding his future.
A clause in the Brazil international’s £600,000-a-week contract is set to trigger on July 1, extending the deal by an extra year to 2027.
According to Sky Sports, PSG have been looking for a buyer for their No10.
AS, however, claim the 30-year-old’s representatives have also been trying to find a move for their star man.
The Brazilian has been keen on a return to Barcelona, but the Catalan giants’ financial woes make a move unrealistic

    Bale joins Los Angeles FC
Gareth Bale has confirmed his shock move to MLS outfit Los Angeles FC.
Bale left Real Madrid at the end of his contract earlier this month as a free agent.
For months there have been suggestions the star forward could retire or sign with hometown club Cardiff.
But the Wales international has put the rumours to bed after confirming he is joining LAFC on Twitter.
Sharing a video of himself in the club’s black and gold, Bale said: “See you soon, Los Angeles”
    Chelsea meet Ronaldo agent
Chelsea have met with Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent, shocking reports suggest.
Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes has reportedly met with new Blues owner Todd Boehly last week and discussed a move for his client.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is thought to be happy to stay at United for the beginning of a new era under Erik ten Hag.
However, the forward is also reportedly concerned about the lack of summer transfer business the Red Devils have managed so far – with not a single player arriving
    Jesus going to Arsenal
Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus is on the brink of a £45million move to Arsenal on a five-year contract.
Jesus is expected to be in London on Tuesday to complete his medical in time to join up with his new team-mates for pre-season.
The Gunners agreed on a fee with the centre-forward’s agents, who spent last weekend successfully negotiating personal terms.
The 25-year-old is now a couple of days away from being confirmed as an Arsenal player until 2027
    Liverpool ‘confident’ of signing Bellingham
Liverpool are confident Leeds star Kalvin Phillips’ proposed move to Manchester City leaves them in pole position to land Borussia Dortmund ace Jude Bellingham.
However there is still likely to be a tug-of-war between the Reds and City to land Bellingham in the summer.
But there is growing confidence at Anfield that the Citizens’ imminent £45million signing of Phillips means the Merseysiders are favourites to sign the Dortmund star.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp always planned to make a striker his marquee transfer this summer and has successfully landed Darwin Nunez for a record £85m to replace Sadio Mane

Saliba spent last season on loan with L’OM who wanted to make his switch permanent.

And Matt Turner was the most recent addition having made a move from MLS side New England Revolution.

Arsenal are stepping up their pursuit of Leeds star Raphinha after agreeing a fee to sign Manchester City ace Gabriel Jesus.
The Gunners have settled on a £45million fee to bring Jesus to the Emirates with personal terms and a medical still to be agreed.
And now Mikel Arteta is after the striker’s compatriot as they battle to beat London rivals Tottenham and Chelsea as well as Barcelona.
The winger has two years left on his deal at Elland Road but has told Leeds that he will not be agreeing new terms.
The North Londoners have seen one approach rejected already this summer but are ready to return with an improved offer with talks over a deal said to be at an advanced stage.

The North Londoners are in negotiations over a potential £60million transfer for the Brazilian.
Di Maria will leave PSG at the end of the month when his contract expires.
The Argentina international, who had a hapless spell at Manchester United, could now go to Italy and play for giants Juventus, while Barcelona are also interested

The Red Devils are looking to bolster their defence following a disastrous season.

    Read Fo business
Arsenal have joined the chase to sign £34million-rated Lens star Seko Fofana.
But Fofana is not short of suitors as Newcastle are also keeping tabs, according to L’Equipe.
But now the French publication states that the Gunners are also in the transfer hunt and will battle the Magpies for the midfielder’s signature.
The Ivory Coast international previously spent time in England with Manchester City’s academy as a youngster and enjoyed a loan spell with Fulham
    Raph-ing it up
Arsenal will intensify negotiations to sign Leeds ace Raphinha this week.
The Gunners are poised to announce the signing of Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus after agreeing a £45million deal.

Bruges star Charles de Ketelaere has been identified as the man the Elland Road outfit are targeting if the winger goes.

    All Gon wrong
Gonzalo Higuain has mocked Arsenal for claiming he was “too expensive” before they broke the bank for Mesut Ozil in 2013.
That summer, Higuain ultimately moved to Napoli for £34.5million.
The Real Madrid great told TyC Sports: “I remember that I was on the verge of going to Arsenal when I went to Napoli, but they said I was too expensive.
“And a few days later, they paid €80m for Ozil!”
    Merson on Nketiah
Arsenal legend Paul Merson believes Eddie Nketiah wouldn’t even get in the Fulham team.
The Gunners recently tied Nketiah down to a new five-year deal as his contract was set to expire at the end of the month.
Merson told the Daily Star: “All Arsenal have got up front right now is Eddie Nketiah, who recently signed a new contract when it looked like he might leave.
“And no disrespect to Nketiah but Mikel Arteta must realise he won’t get you into the top four. Absolutely no chance. That’s a fact.
“Nketiah can’t be spearheading your Champions League push. He’s not getting in ahead of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison at Everton and they almost got relegated.
“He’s not getting in at Fulham ahead of Aleksandar Mitrovic and they’ve only just been promoted.
“I’m not having a go at him but he’s not getting you top four”

    Arsenal’s double delight
Arsenal stars Thomas Partey and Kieran Tierney have given the Gunners a huge boost with the pair claimed to be fit for pre-season training.
Partey and Tierney both picked up knocks in early April which saw them miss the last nine and 10 Premier League games respectively.
The midfielder suffered a thigh injury during the 3-0 defeat against Crystal Palace away at Selhurst Park.
Meanwhile, the Scotland star returned from international duty with a knee problem which required him to have surgery.
But they are fit in time for pre-season training, with first-team players due back at London Colney on Monday
    Not a Rap
Arsenal are being made to wait for Leeds star Raphinha as the player continues to eye a move to Barcelona.
Tottenham and Chelsea have also been linked with the winger in the summer transfer window.
But according to Sport, the Brazil international’s preferred move would be to Barca.
However, the chances of the 25-year-old clinching a transfer to the Nou Camp rely on the departure of Ousmane Dembele.
Dembele is out of contract at the end of this month and being linked with Chelsea.
But there is still a chance the France international could sign a new deal with the Blaugrana – which would mean the club do not need Raphinha
    Forest’s check Mait
Nottingham Forest are planning a move for Arsenal ace Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
According to the Daily Mail, Forest are weighing up making an offer for Maitland-Niles this summer.
The versatile midfielder, who can also play at full-back had a disappointing loan spell at Roma.
Reports suggest Forest see the 24-year-old as a potential replacement for Djed Spence with Tottenham appearing in pole position to sign him permanently from Middlesbrough
    Vela’s American dream
Ex-Arsenal youngster Carlos Vela has signed a new one-year deal at Los Angeles FC after Gareth Bale’s arrival.
Vela has been at the club since 2018 and is the side’s captain following a series of impressive performances.
It has been hinted that the winger has been convinced to stay thanks to LAFC’s fantastic transfer window.

Wright shared a video on social media as he enjoyed the entertainment at The Black Forge Inn on Sunday.

    More from Nisbet
“It’s never nice to be injured, but to have a good mate, and someone you trust, going through it has been a big help. KT knows how I am feeling and vice-versa, so we can support each other through it.
“You can talk to your friends and family when you are out, but they maybe don’t understand how you are feeling. When I am down I can drop him a text, and he will know how I am feeling because he has been in the same boat.
“We are able to bounce ideas off of each other as well. Kieran and I can talk about what he is working on that might help me, and it’s exactly the same with me for him.
“We were gutted that Scotland didn’t make the World Cup because it would have been a dream to have played in one. But there’s always another one in four years.
“I would love to get back to playing for Scotland again with KT, but I have plenty to do before I can even think of that. I have to get myself fit and then back scoring goals for Hibs again and performing well to get my place back in the Scotland squad.
“My most important aim right now is just getting back on the park with the boys and then we will go from there”
    Kieran Tierney praise
Hibernian ace Kevin Nisbet has revealed how Arsenal star Kieran Tierney has been the man he’s turned to during his injury hell.
Nisbet told SunSport: “Myself and KT [Tierney] are really good mates. We were together at Celtic when we were about nine-years-old, and then we went our separate ways as happens in football.
“When I was called up for Scotland we reconnected, and we have been close since then which has been great.
“I was gutted when he suffered his injury and that ruled him out for Scotland in those important games.
“We texted each other every few days to see how each other is doing and talk about rehab programmes”
    S-Mart move for Lisandro
Arsenal are looking to steal a march on Manchester United in the race to snare Ajax star Lisandro Martinez away.

And transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has delivered an update on Arteta’s pursuit of the Argentina international.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano said: “Arsenal want Lisandro Martinez.

    Morning, Arsenal fans
Gabriel Jesus is on the brink of a £45m move to Arsenal on a five-year deal, writes SunSport’s Jordan Davies.
The Brazilian striker is expected to be in London on Tuesday afternoon to complete his medical in time to join up with his new teammates for pre-season.
After the Gunners agreed on a fee with Manchester City, Jesus’ agents spent last weekend successfully negotiating personal terms.
And the 25-year-old is now hours away from being confirmed as an Arsenal player until 2027.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have been handed a boost over their Raphinha pursuit as reports suggest Leeds are lining up his replacement.
Club Brugge Charles de Ketelaere has been reportedly identified as the man they are targeting if Raphinha goes.
In other news, Forest are planning a move for Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles, according to reports.
The Daily Mail claim the newly-promoted side are weighing up making an offer for him.
    Raphinha meets famous pal
Arsenal target Raphinha met up with soon-to-be free agent Angel Di Maria in Ibiza.
There’s plenty speculation surrounding both players on where they will be playing their football next season.
Raphinha is being heavily linked with a move away to Leeds, with Arsenal in advanced talks to sign him ahead of Chelsea.
The Gunners are in negotiations over a potential £60million transfer for the Brazilian.
Di Maria will leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the month when his contract expires, ending his seven-year stay in the French capital.
The Argentine, who had a spell in England with Manchester United, could now go to Italy and play for giants Juventus.

    Tierney and Partey potential return
Kieran Tierney and Thomas Partey could return to action for Arsenal on July 8.
The duo missed the end of last season with respective injuries, but are both nearing a return.
Mikel Arteta’s side face FC Nurnberg on July 8, with Tierney and Partey possibly being able to return.

    Gabriel Jesus medical update
Jesus is on the brink of a £45m move to Arsenal on a five-year deal, writes SunSport’s Jordan Davies.
    Gunners in double fitness boost
Thomas Partey and Kieran Tierney have given Arsenal a huge boost with the pair claimed to be fit for pre-season training.
The Gunners duo both picked up knocks in early April which saw them miss the last nine and ten Premier League games respectively.
According to Goal’s Arsenal correspondent Charles Watts, the pair have recovered well from injury, though it is Partey that is further ahead in terms of fitness.
Speaking on his YouTube channel about the pair, Watts said: “From what I understand, Thomas Partey is fine by all accounts.
“He didn’t play for Ghana in the summer, he is fully fit and ready for pre-season.”
Watts then went on to add he is of the belief Tierney is also close to being fully fit.
    Arsenal’s new No9
The Gunners have agreed a £45million deal for Manchester City ace Gabriel Jesus.
Personal terms have been agreed, with confirmation imminent.
The Brazilian bagged eight Premier League goals last season, and will lead the line for Mikel Arteta’s men.
He has won four Prem titles since joining Pep Guardiola’s side in 2017.
    Leeds hunting Raphinha replacement
Arsenal have been handed a boost over their Raphinha pursuit as reports suggest Leeds are lining up his replacement.
Club Brugge Charles de Ketelaere has been reportedly identified as the man they are targeting if Raphinha goes.
The 21-year-old attacker can operate in false nine or secondary striker roles and Leeds will be hoping he brings the sparkle that Raphinha regularly gave the side.
The Athletic report the highly-rated Belgian international is also attracting interest from AC Milan, who can offer Champions League football.
De Ketelaere appeared against some of the biggest sides in Europe last season, including Manchester City, and even managed to find the net against RB Leipzig.
His potential arrival at Elland Road could then open the door to Arsenal to secure Raphinha after weeks of pursuing the Brazilian.
Ex-Arsenal star to play with Bale
Former Arsenal youngster Carlos Vela has signed a new deal one-year deal at Los Angeles FC.
Vela, 33, has been at the club since 2018 and is the side’s captain.
He is also reportedly one of the club’s three designated players, which means they can pay him above the salary cap.
There were rumours that LAFC were going to lose the Mexican after he said in an interview a few weeks ago: “I’m open to be here but I’m also open to leave and find another place. Football is like that.”
However, perhaps he has been convinced to stay thanks to LAFC’s fantastic transfer window.
They have confirmed the signing of Gareth Bale in a shock move after the Welshman snubbed a move to hometown club Cardiff.
    More on Gabriel Jesus
Arsenal have reportedly signed Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus on a five-year deal for £45million.
The 25-year-old Brazilian has been linked with a move to the Emirates since the end of last season.
And it is now being reported that he has agreed a personal terms and will become Mikel Arteta’s latest signing.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano tweeted: “Gabriel Jesus to Arsenal, here we go!
“Personal terms fully agreed with his agent Marcelo Pettinati and his two partners. Gabriel signs until 2027, it’s 100% done. 🚨⚪️🔴 #AFC
“Arsenal already agreed £45m fee with Man City as revealed on Friday.
“Edu & Arteta, key for the deal.”
    Jesus to Arsenal imminent
Gabriel Jesus has agreed to join Arsenal, according to reports.
The Gunners agreed a £45million fee with Manchester City for the Brazilian on Friday.
According to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Jesus has now settled on personal terms, with the deal “100 per cent done”.
The forward will pen a five-year deal with Mikel Arteta’s side.
    Nottingham Forest in Ainsley swoop
Forest are planning a move for Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles, according to reports.
The Daily Mail claim the newly-promoted side are weighing up making an offer for him.
The versatile player had a disappointing loan spell at Roma despite winning the Conference League.
He departed the Gunners in January in search for more regular game time but he made just 12 appearances for Jose Mourinho’s side.
Maitland-Niles fell out of favour at Arsenal and could be allowed to leave the club again.
    Gunners Raphinha update
Arsenal are reportedly being made to wait for Leeds forward Raphinha as the player continues to eye a move to Barcelona.
Earlier this week, the Gunners saw their first bid for the Brazilian rejected – but they remain keen on securing his services despite the possibility of having to pay as much as £60million.
According to Sport, Raphinha’s preferred move would be to Spanish giants Barcelona.
The Leeds forward reportedly sees joining the Catalan club as his priority transfer.
However, the chances of the South American attacker clinching a transfer to the Nou Camp rely on the departure of Ousmane Dembele.
The 25-year-old Frenchman is out of contract at the end of this month and being linked with Chelsea.
But there is still a chance he could sign a new deal with Barca – which would mean the club do not need Raphinha.
    Former striker target slams Gunners
Gonzalo Higuain has mocked Arsenal for claiming he was “too expensive” before they broke the bank for Mesut Ozil.
The Argentine forward was heavily linked with a move to the Emirates back in 2013.
But negotiations eventually broke down between the Gunners and Real Madrid as Arsene Wenger’s side were not willing to meet the Spanish giants’ £34.5m valuation.
Speaking to TyC Sports, he said: “I remember that I was on the verge of going to Arsenal when I went to Napoli, but they said I was too expensive.
“And a few days later, they paid €80m for Ozil!”
    Spurs fan ‘nervous’ about Jesus
Tottenham fan and pundit Darren Ambrose is worried about Arsenal’s pursuit of Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus.
The Gunners are likely to sign the Brazilian imminently, with Ambrose not happy about the move from a Spurs perspective.
He told talkSPORT: “Good business all round. He has a point to prove. Being a Spurs supporter, a couple of weeks ago, I am, of course, delighted with the signings Spurs are making and the players we are being linked to.
“But Arsenal seem to be making moves now. If this gets over the line, then he’s going with a point to prove. I say that a bit tongue-and-cheek really.
“He has come from Manchester City and has won an abundance of trophies there. He just won the Premier League title and he has played a key role.
“But they have brought in Erling Haaland, he couldn’t really get in as a number nine anyway, they played without a number nine, so it’s a good deal for Manchester City for £45 million and I think it’s a fantastic signing for Arsenal.
“I think he will do very well, Gabriel Jesus. He is a goalscorer and I think with a point to prove, it’s a great signing and, as a Spurs supporter, I am nervous.”
    Wouldn’t Nket in the team
Arsenal legend Paul Merson has claimed Eddie Nketiah wouldn’t even get in the FULHAM team.
The Gunners recently tied the 23-year-old down to a new five-year deal as his contract was set to expire at the end of the month.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Merse said: “All Arsenal have got up front right now is Eddie Nketiah, who recently signed a new contract when it looked like he might leave.
“I’m not having a go at him but he’s not getting you top four.”
    Arsenal receive double boost
Thomas Partey and Kieran Tierney have given Arsenal a huge boost with the pair claimed to be fit for pre-season training.
The Gunners pair both picked up knocks in early April, which saw them miss the last nine and ten Premier League games respectively.
Their absence proved to be crucial for Mikel Arteta as the North London outfit narrowly missed out on securing Champions League football.
But the duo are claimed to be fit in time for pre-season training, with first team players due back at London Colney on Monday.
According to Goal’s Arsenal correspondent Charles Watts, the pair have recovered well from injury, though it is Partey that is further ahead in terms of fitness.
    Saliba ‘has positive contract talks’
William Saliba has reportedly held “positive” contract talks at Arsenal as the club look to tie him down to a long-term deal.
The 21-year-old looks finally set to be a part of the Gunners squad three years after joining from Saint-Etienne for £27million.
Boss Mikel Arteta said last month the France international will be integrated into his team following his impressive loan at Marseille.
His stunning form helped the Stade Velodrome outfit finish second in the table, with his performances earning him the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year award.
Marseille are keen to turn his temporary stay into a permanent switch amid claims the club are poised to submit a £26m bid.
But the North London giants will refuse to part ways with the youngster, with Saliba to challenge Ben White and Gabriel Magaelhaes for a starting spot.
    Raphinha ‘delays transfer decision’
Raphinha will wait a few days before making a decision on his future.
Arsenal are in pole position to sign the Leeds ace.
But he’s holding out to see if Barcelona make an offer for him, according to Actu Football.
The report adds that Barca will only make a bid for Raphinha if Ousmane Dembele leaves the club, with Chelsea favourites to land the winger.
    Gabriel Jesus fear revealed
Gabriel Jesus will do very well at Arsenal as he’s a goalscorer with a point to prove.
That’s the opinion of ex-Premier League star Darren Ambrose.
And the Spurs fan admitted he’s nervous about Jesus’ imminent arrival at The Emirates.
Ambrose told talkSPORT: “I think he will do very well, Gabriel Jesus.
“He is a goalscorer and I think with a point to prove, it’s a great signing and, as a Spurs supporter, I am nervous.”
    Ballard to Burnley falls through
Arsenal defender Daniel Ballard’s move to Burnley has fallen apart at the last hurdle.
Ballard was set to join Vincent Kompany’s side after completing a medical.
But Ballard will remain at Arsenal as he failed to agree personal terms with Burnley, according to The Athletic.
    Leeds given dire warning
Leeds will get relegated if they don’t invest the money they receive for Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips.
Raphinha is set to join Arsenal, and Phillip has completed a move to Man City.
And if Leeds don’t replace the duo, they won’t survive in the Prem next season.
That’s according to Gabby Agbonlahor, who tweeted: “Kalvin Phillips to city, Raphina to arsenal.
“Leeds need to invest that money wisely or they will be relegation favourites for sure.”
    Real Madrid track Kimpembe
Real Madrid are reportedly tracking PSG defender Presnel Kimpembe.
Kimpembe is said to be frustrated with the French giants for not handing him a new contract.
And Real are waiting in the wings to snap him up, according to Defensa Central.
Chelsea and Arsenal were linked with Kimpembe in the past.
    Inter ‘make push for Bremer’
Inter Milan will reportedly meet with Torino next week in order to try and buy in demand defender Gleison Bremer.
Bremer’s been courted by several Prem sides including Chelsea, Man United, Tottenham, and Arsenal.
However, Inter are moving ahead to try and seal his signature, according to Tuttosport.
The publication claims Inter CEO Beppe Marotta is set to jet to Torino to negotiate with their Serie A counterparts over Bremer.
    Leeds ‘want Raphinha bidding war’
Leeds are looking to spark a bidding war for Raphinha, according to reports.
Arsenal had an initial bid for the midfielder turned down last week,
And football reporter Ryan Taylor reckons the Whites rejected Arsenal’s offer to whip up interest in the Brazilian.
He told Give Me Sport: “When I spoke to a contact on Monday to try and find out about the interest, I was told that Arsenal are interested but that the kind of feeling is Leeds are looking to encourage a bidding war.
“And Deco is also in the mix in driving up that sort of speculation. Arsenal are keen, but as of Monday, there was no significant developments. Obviously, that changed with the bid on Tuesday.”
Man United are also interested in Raphinha.
    Nketiah gets slammed by Merson
Paul Merson has told Arsenal to sign a new striker as Eddie Nketiah isn’t good enough to fire them into the Champions League.
Merson vented to the Daily Star: “All Arsenal have got up front right now is Eddie Nketiah, who recently signed a new contract when it looked like he might leave.
“He’s not getting in at Fulham ahead of Aleksandr Mitrovic and they’ve only just been promoted. I’m not having a go at him but he’s not getting you top four.”
    Tielemans to Arsenal ‘off’
Arsenal have pulled the plug on their pursuit of Leicester ace Youri Tielemans, reports claim.
That’s according to Express journalist Ryan Taylor who said to Give Me Sport: “It’s an interesting one. The information I had was similar to others, that it’s been pulled.
“I was told not to write about Tielemans anymore with Arsenal and that it was very much agent-driven and has never been as close as has been suggested.
“Which is strange because all signs were kind of pointing towards Tielemans happening with Jesus in the past few weeks.”

confident of Jude Bellingham transfer EXCLUSIVE, Bale CONFIRMS move
Maitland-Niles has been capped by England five times and can play at right-back, central midfield and on the right wing.
The 24-year-old would also be able to offer Forest a wealth of Premier League experience having spent part of the 2020-21 season on loan at West Brom.
